delayed bus
My friend and I had a booking for Boston to New York on 1st September - booking number AGJE7LI for 10:30 scheduled to reach at 2:45 pm. Due to some mechanical problems, the bus did not come and everyone was accommodated on a bus that came later. we reached the NY drop off after 4:45 that was over a 2 hour delay because of which I missed my next train that I had booked.
I would like to request a refund for the tickets since it not only caused us inconvenience, but also caused us to miss our next train.

We had a horrible experience on the 5:20pm from Philadelphia to Nyc on Thur Aug 31, 2017. It started from the departure, when the Driver (named Mr Driver) made the general announcements. His levelof detail, regarding the bathroom, stairs, et al, was Off Putting Inappropriate, insulting, and created a level of fear. As he explained the possible taffic acidents, that were possible. He spoke in a SLOW monotone. He complained that people were talking and he would not continue till they stopped, all while driving. He then continued with more Morbid descriptions of the rules, his person opinions, etc. As we hit the street, we notice he has pulled over and shut off the Bus. with No Explanation. Finally, He says, We were ALL not paying attention to him, and until we did he would not Drive Us. And He did not... More Announcements, ending with if we have any concerns just ask him. NOONE wanted to Speak to him, for fear he would stop the bus, Delaying us further. He Finally begin to drive, Poorly, at best. Speeding, sudden stops, etc. IT was Awful. On bus number M96, on Thursday, August 31 2017, en route from Washington, DC to Durham, NC, around 11:35 a. m. my right breast was prodded by the bus driver's fingers. He yelled at me not to come down the front staircase, which I apologized for and turned around to go back the way I came. However, as I was apologizing, he reached his arm across the aisle and physically stopped me, putting his hand on my right breast in the nipple area. I do not know the driver's name, but with the time and bus information I provided you at the beginning of this complaint I am sure his identity can be verified. I feel shocked, violated, and extremely uncomfortable.
coach from southampton to leeds
Megabus arrived at Southampton over 45 minutes late, was then stopped in Coventry for 30 minutes waiting for a repair and a further 2 hours in Birmingham waiting for repairs. Was due into Leeds at 23:35 and ended up getting there at 3 in the morning. This meant I ended up having to pay an extra 15 pounds for an uber as it was late. Would like refund on both uber and coach drive please, awful and worst journey in my life

Megabus has a recording regarding loud conversatios, loud computors loud phone calls, music.the general public usually abides.But perioically you have the rude and ignorant.if one does this it can disturbed the whole bus.downstairs as your walking to use the facility lous music. What a distraction. Upstairs you have several loud 2way on speaker phone call.really imagine if more than 2persons partook in this behavior.the driver has a loud speaker they should announce regarding this the passengers are talking during -announcement and do not listen.its getting worse each trip i take. Please i know the drivers do not want to be babysittrrs but there needs to be someone in control.please have drivers announce before departure of each trip. If the megabus journey from London to present isn't stopping at bolton horwich then your conductors and employees need to know that and inform the customers upon boarding the service.
I was told by numerous employees boarding us on the service that the coach stopped at bolton horwich parkway, even the person putting my bag onto the coach said it stopped there and put my bag in the section of the bolton stop off. However the driver of the coach had no intention of stopping at bolton. I can't understand why the driver knows the service didn't stop at bolton and the rest of the megabus employees didn't. This needs to be made clearer, to have your employees know the stop offs correctly and to change the bus front advert.

Myself and 4 friends purchased our tickets a long time in advance after looking at various transport options. We chose megabus for its reputation and what it had to offer on the bus. We were very disappointed when the driver announce that the wifi doesn't work. Not only did the wifi not work but the power outlets also weren't working at the seats we were sitting at.
All of us are tourists and we were depending on the wifi to contact an American friend who was supposed to pick us up.
The rest of the journey was fine and the staff were very friendly.
We do however feel disappointed by mega bus who advertised wifi and could not provide it.
travel time and missed connections
I was a passenger on the mega bus trip from New York City to Boston on August 25, which left NYC at 7:40 and was scheduled to arrive in Boston at 11:55. I am currently still on the bus and have not arrived in Boston, and it is now after 1pm.
I suggest that the arrival times on the website be adjusted so that passengers do not make plans around erroneous arrivals, particularly if, as in this circumstance, the bus driver chose to drive up 10th avenue to exit New York City, which easily added an extra 45 minutes to our trip.
Additionally, I would like a refund in the amount of $23.00, which is what I paid for the ticket. This extreme discrepancy between the estimated and actual arrival time has severely disrupted my travel plans, and I have had to book another bus ticket to make up for the 1:00 departure that I have missed. Please keep in mind that I had provided myself a 65 minute window to make this connection, and it was still not possible.

My experience with Megabus was horrible to not say the least. On the way to New York with order number reservation summary for order there were no major problems. However on the way back from New York to Boston with reservation number
40/[protected]-M22R-1540-NEW-BOS on the 21st of August at 3:40 pm, there were multiple problems. The reservation order was AGHXX2Y
1) I arrived more than an hour before the bus was due to depart and I never saw not one employee get on or off to "clean the bus ".
2) The employee whose job was to put the suitcases on the bus was rude and on the phone. I actually had to wait for him to finish his conversation before he even acknowledged my presence.
3) My mother was pushed out of the way on her way to the bus's toilet by another person who was not even travelling on the bus nor worked for Megabus to use the toilet. None of the many employee even noticed. Disgraceful. The toilet was filthy upon departure. Unacceptable at whatever price.
2) The bus was filthy... the trash bags attached to the seats were almost half full on a bus, that one would suppose would be cleaned minimally, especially seeing as Megabus claims they are professionals and look out for the safety of their clients.
3) The bus on the toilet was so dirty it was impossible to even be inside the toilet long enough to figure out if the toilet had a flush or not. To be quite honest if I had known I would be peeing inside of a bucket with dozens of other people, I would have preferred to pee my pants, piss in a bucket or hold it for five hours instead of risking catching diseases like hepatitis or something worse.
4) Megabus claims it is a direct bus, however the bus stopped unexpectedly to change drivers, where I witnessed that the drivers did change shifts. However the driver who departed from New York stopped in Connecticut where I and other passengers witnessed him smoke marijuana from a vaper whilst "chatting" to the other driver. In total all of this lasted about 10 minutes and of course passengers were not informed correctly of this unexpected stop.
5) I reserved seats 1, 2 and 3 under the impression that it would not be a rip off. I was charged $21 dollars for these pathetic seats. I was also charged $3 as an amendment fee. I was also charged a booking fee of $2.50 twice for one reservation. The customer service operator was not fluent in English and very difficult to understand. The recline mechanism on seat number 1 was broken and the vent for the Air conditioning was as well. There was actually tissue paper stuck in there because the air that came out of the vent was extremely cold. So cold it made me have to want to urinate the entire journey and gave me a cold. When I asked the driver if he could turn down the A/c he acted as if he was unaware of the fact that that the vent was broken and told me he could not turn it down. After making him aware of my knowledge as a citizen of the world, a five minute conversation, he proceeded to lower it. I am not sure if I caught the horrible cold I have now from the horrendously filthy toilet or the incredibly cold air. Although he turned the A/C down it was still incredibly cold. There was tissue paper jammed in the vent for a reason.
6) To book my tickets, I found the website so incredibly confusing and sufficient that I had to call the help line in order to buy my tickets. For my trip from Boston to New York with reservation number 37/[protected]-M22R-1000-BOS-NEW with reservation order number AGHYNJI I was charged $7 booking these tickets with the help of an operator. Beautiful. The consequence was I was charged many surcharges for changing my order as well as for requesting help over the telephone. I am sure as legal as that may be I can see that Megabus takes advantage of it's passenger lack of knowledge in order to make a few extra bucks. I found it impossible to book three round trip tickets from Boston to New York, indstead Megabus and its platflorm benefited from charging separate charges for each trip. For the total price I paid for the round trip ticket, I could have taken the train and not rode on a bus that was filthy with inefficient, lazy, drug smoking staff.
I will not recommend Megabus or ever use them again seeing as they willingly fool their passengers, don't have professional staff who take pride in their work and expose their passengers to filth which might put their health at risk.
I am deeply saddened that I reserved seats 1, 2 and 3 from Boston to New York with a broken seat and broken A/C which made it impossible to enjoy my trip on the bus.
I kindly request a refund for the purchase of my reserved tickets seeing as one can see from the aforementioned, Megabus does not put their clients first nor are they committed to the company's mission.From my experience, Megabus exposes you to disease ( in my case a cold I am still fighting to overcome) and fools you with false advertising.
I look forward to a steady and coherent response to my complaint.
I will be honest, no matter how cheap a service is, it is not fair to make clients pay for the lack of professionalism of it's employees or the lack if criteria in customer service or hygiene.

extremely angry bus driver
I was on megabus 716, license plate P809971 going from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia that left Pittsburgh at 7:05, August 19th. This trip has left me concerned about the safety of the other riders on this bus as the bus driver, who identified himself as Leo over the loudspeaker, seems extremely volatile and obviously has anger issues. I watched for five minutes as he ruthlessly screamed at the top of his lungs at a family of four, a husband, wife, and their two teenaged daughters. Apparently there was a mix up with the tickets they purchased and the bus driver was yelling over and over again "this is because you didn't listen, if you had listened to me this would have been a lot easier. No one ever listens to me, I'm going to throw you off this bus in about five seconds." Things which were meant to attack the family rather than help them. Meanwhile the family could not have been more courteous, simultaneously attempting to resolve the problem and calm down the driver as he proceeded to reply to everything they said yelling at the top of his lungs. At one point I heard the mother say to Leo "please just let it go" while he's screaming at her and her husband. The father then attempted to buy an emergency bus ticket, continuously being ridiculed by this driver, while the mother and her two daughters began crying in each other's arms. It seemed to me like they were genuinely scared of this man. It's a marvel to me that they were able to stay so calm when this man was literally spitting every word in their face. This experience has been very surprising, megabus is usually an enjoyable and calm ride, but this man is a terrible representative of such a great company. I truly am concerned for the safety of the riders under bus driver Leo in the future, as this man seems incapable of restraining himself. I hope that this issue gets resolved quickly, and this man is reprimanded in the appropriate manner as this sort of demeanor is unacceptable for such a professional company.
rude supervisor, no customer service
I brought 2 tickets for my cousin and niece to come visit me in Charlotte NC from Washington DC, Their bus left DC yesterday 10am and broke down in Raleigh. The bus sat in Raleigh for 1.5 hours then pulled off again only to pull over again and set for another 4 hours. At this point they have been on the bus for over 10hours. So I drove an hour plus to pick them up. To learn that the tires on the bus were balled with no tred. I called to receive a refund only to be told there will only be a 25% discount. Please do not put your love ones on this bus. The customer service is horrible. They hung up on me twice. You ask for a supervisor and they are no better. My bus was due to depart at 4:45 I made it there at the door at 4:36! They refused me on the bus, in witch they said the bus had left already. Did not I waited outside with my two kids for family to pick us up the bus was pulling out 12 min behind! So why they refused to let me on!? The workers all in there phone! No help! Call customer service spoke with supervisor guess what? she consistently talked over me! I kept saying mam are u gonna listen she then hung up in my face! I called back to get the same supervisor! Who said mam I can't help u call to pay again period! I have traveled over twenty times on megabus! It's unbelievable to receive such terrible service! Especially after all the times megabus has arrived late! Getting to my stop a hour later! But wanna talk nasty after debit of my money! Customer service is horrible! Workers is horrible! I am complaining about a driver
I was in Houston at 4:35pm on 8/16/2017 at your Megabus location. I was waiting for the bus to Austin. I saw a driver and ask for information about the bus. I ask is the bus to Austin and he says go around the bus an read it lady and you will know what bus this is. He says all those words very ugly and could have said this is San Antonio. My ride to Austin was very nice at 5:25pm. I ride this bus alot visiting my children but never met anyone like this driver.

I purchased a ticket for one of our travel nurse's and since company paid for ticket confirmation and reservation with to company email so we could be reimbursed. We supplied nurse with reservation and once 1250am driver arrived she states numbers were incorrect. Nurse tried to explain situation to driver and neither would listen. She called Megan's who was closed and before she could call person who made the reservation the driver pulled off and left her at the station alone at 100am. She was frantic. She sat there until 1000am the next day. This is sad and according to office staff it happens a lot on the Atlanta to Mobile route. We called and filed a compliant but still have gotten no refund or anything. I would not recommend Megan's to anyone because if u will leave a woman like that in danger with no security I wouldn't trust it. Like they say you get what you pay for. Sad company.

I purchased a megabus ticket for my son for Sun. Aug 13th from Columbia Sc to Washington Dc and another from Washington D.C. to Balt.Md to arrive in Md on Mon. The 14th. I forwarded him the reservation number to his phone. I googled directions to Megabus in Columbia sc and drove to the address listed which was Sumter st. We arrived at 2 am. Bus was leave at 3. The building was well lit but the doors were locked. A man walking by told us megabus had moved. By then it was 10 after. 2. I called Megabus but a recording kept saying hold on for next agent but no one picked up. We found another person who told us it was at Greyhound station. I GPS that and arrived at 3:03 and nothing was there. It was closed. I got a motel room and called megabus in the morning and was told that they had moved from that address a month earlier and was located on broad river st. They said yes, if you Google megabus in sc, it would probably give the old address but if you had gone to your email, you would have seen the new address. I said it would not have occurred to me to check my email. I had the confirmation number from your site once I paid. I ended up having to pay another $85 approx. for the total trip plus a motel room to stay in Columbia for the next daily bus.I feel that some consideration should be given to me. I should be able to GPS where you are, not where you were.

I'm very upset with the service of Megabus recently. The bus service from DC to NYC was scheduled for 11 PM and expected to arrive at 3:40 AM. However, it got delayed until 12:30 AM, left DC at 1:00 AM, and arrived in NYC at 6 AM. Also, the assistant in the terminal and the driver were so rude.
I missed my flight due to the delay and had to change my flight which cost me $200 dollars. Very disappointed!

I am currently on a bus where I was just verbally accosted by the driver. There was a backpack in the seat that was behind the driver. This seat was not reserved and therefore I moved the backpack and was awaiting the owner of the backpack to return to explain that I was taking the seat. The driver came back and yelled at me and would not stop. His yelling was so much so that I was extremely afraid that he would become violent and offered to get out of the seat. He said that there had better not be any talking in the seat behind him, that he did not allow talking on his bus. His yelling was absolutely unacceptable. This is the new york to philadelphia route at 920 eastern time on August 13th.

On August 12, I was supposed to travel bu Megabus from Washington DV to Philadelphia, leaving at 11:50 and arrinving at 14:50. I had boight a reserved seat for extra $5 to sit on the top deck, front windshield seat. Shortly before the scheduled departite, I received the below email. The bus was changed, and so did the time, after all. I had a flight to take from Philadelphia International Airport to London, at 19:15 and I had given a normal 3 hour timeframe to check in, as required for international flights. Had I known Megabus would be changed for another regular bus, I would have chosen Grayhound or Amtrack, my whole point was to make that upper deck view a special experience. I did not get thay pleasure. Not only that, the new driver was completely oblivious of what time he was supposed to leave, as the 11:50 departure time was approaching. The Megabus employees seemed stressed out and abruptly would direct passengers to line up, wothout answering questions as to the time of departure. Those manners were especially disturbing, as I had a flight to catch. Eventually, around 12:00, we started boardin and left around 12:10, 20 minutes late, we did not even get an appology. Of course, there happened to be traffic and after being rattled in a shabby bus for over three hours, we arrived in Philadelphia at about 15:30, 40 minutes late. I had to run with my large suitcase and hand luggage to reach the airport shuttle and luckily git to my flight on time. This should not have happened. I vonsider this experience a toral disaster, for all the reasons above and demand that I get a full refund, not just the extra fee for "reserved" nonsense seating. Should that not happen and I do not get properly compensated, I will report to appropriate agencies and the Better Business Bureau. This should not be happening and the attitude your employees had, just vomes to show that they are in the habbit of being in such chaotic and ridiculous situations.
