sunny days bubble mower
Went to to my neighborhood meijer to purchase an item in their ad for the two day sale...they don't even have the item advertised...sunny days bubble mower. Why are you advertising something that isn't even there and you can't order it online..I'm very upset as these were easter gifts. Do you just do this to get people in the store. I'm sure I'm not the only person looking for this product
rotisserie chicken
Stopped on way home from work to get dinner because we have a new baby at home didn't want to cook bought a chicken, gravy, rolls, and dessert got home everyone sat down for dinner and our chicken was real raw blood in bottom of the container so I will have to return it today. So we only had potatoes and rolls for dinner the store is 25 minutes away. Very disappointed my children cried because they wanted chicken..usually not a complainer but the chicken was so gross I just wanted someone to know...
extremely long wait in line!
Just returned from the Westland MI, #68 Meijer store where I shopped for 20 minutes and waited in line for 50 minutes. The store wasn't even crowded, employees walking around talking and only 4 registers were open, excluding the self serve registers. I now remember why I shop at Kroger and will continue to do so. I may even try Walmart since I will never shop at Meijer again. Oh, and after standing in line for 30 minutes with 5 people behind me, an employee opened up a 5 th register and walked over and took the LAST person in line to her register ? She had just got there ! Unbelievable...
I felt so sorry for Caitlin the cashier who did a tremendous job under the circumstances.
pharmacy
I transferred my prescriptions over from Osco. I thought that I was going to get some sort of coupon reward for doing so as per the promotion last month. What I got was a coupon for $20. Off next shopping trip the pharmacist said it would be good when I returned the following month to get my refilled prescriptions. Today when I went to pick up my prescriptions I was told that the coupon was only good if I transferred in a new prescription not the ones I currently have, when I explained what I thought I was supposed to get based on what the last guy told me they told me that I earn points over months. I am rather confused and disappointed, after transferring my prescriptions over after many years at Osco I've basically earned nothing.
angel food cake
I purchased an angel food cake Saturday April 1, 2017. I gave it to the kids they didn't like it. I tried a piece today and I see why the kids didn't eat it. It was dry and crumbly on the outside . I didn't enjoy it at all. I had bought a angel food cake at Kroger the day before which the kids gobbled down and do god i. Your cake was vastly under par to Kroger's cake plus I spent a dollar more at meijet $3.99 for a cake I'm going to trash because I didn't like it . Thank you for your time .
customer service employee
My friend and I went to our local Meijer store, which we shop at nearly everyday. We were going to look for sketchers sandals. We entered the beauty entrance, and a customer service worker/manager, Mattie/Maddie was there. She immediately stopped and rolled her eyes at us. We continued to make our way to the shoe isle and she followed us. As we walked around the shoe department looking for the sketchers sandals, she approached another employee who was passing by. She stopped him and made it a point to clearly say, "I am so over them two couponers!" And progressed to ask the other employee, "aren't you tired of them coming in?" We didn't hear a response from him, and we ignored her and continued looking for our sandals we came to purchase. My friend and I do use coupons, we enjoy it, and it saves us money. Every time we have an issue with one scanning, needing a manager approval, or have a service desk issue; and Maddie is the one working or the one who is called, she immediately refuses our mishap and won't even hear our dilemma. So, we've learned to not even bother with it if she's working and have to come back at other times. She is very difficult to deal with; she eats while she deals with us, over talks us, rolls her eyes, and acts as if she really doesn't care and almost enjoys telling us no because she has the power to do so. Yesterday 3/29/17 I found some bandaids priced for a penny. I grabbed a few boxes and proceeded to check out. They rang up full price. I took a picture of the item and price tag and headed to the service desk. I asked the girl that was working, what happens if an item is marked differently than it rings up, she informed me that they sell it at the marked price. I told her they were marked a penny and she said she'd need a manager. Well, guess who?! Maddie. I explained to her the price issue, and she snatched the bandaid box and said, " oh no. We don't sell stuff for a penny. It's marked a penny so us employees know it's a discontinued item. We can't give them to you for a penny." From my experience other retailers, when items are discontinued or close out items, they are marked down, so they can make room for new inventory. Before I could even say anything, and start a sentence, she said "want me to call my manager? Don't believe me? I can call him?" She wasn't even worth the headache or argument, and I was already embarrassed with how degrading and belittling she was treating me in front of employees and other customers. I simply said no it's okay. Left my basket and went to find my friend. Disappointed and angered by Maddies lack of customer service and courtesy, my friend went to go get the basket with the bandaids and go find someone else and ask. Maddie refused her the bandaids, saying "no, them girls aren't getting them for a penny." But back to today. we found our sketcher sandals. They were $15 marked 25% off. Go to self check out, rang up $11.93 after tax, paid and a catalina printed. I got a pair and my friend got a pair. My friends $10 off you next purchase Meijer coupon printed, where as mine did not. My catalina machine was not plugged in. I asked the boy if he at self check if he could plug it up, in hopes it might register the last transaction and print, and it did not. I had to leave and pick my son up from school, so my friend said she'd go to the service desk and tell them. Maddie was there to "help". Once she heard what happened and what we were requesting, which was rightfully ours, she throws a fit saying "why would she do that? Why would she give us $10 for $11.93 sandals. That like only paying $1.93 for sandals". All while eating watermelon, on the floor, talking to my friend. But Yes, That's exactly what it is, Meijer has tags hanging stating if you buy a pair of men's, women's, or children's sketchers shoes, receive $10 off your next purchase. She refused the catalina and told another worker they needed to go clear the shelves and stop this from happening. This worker makes me feel as if everyone who works there talks about me. She makes me feel unwanted, I feel helpless when I deal with her, and I will avoid having to deal with her at most costs. She makes it as if I'm stealing or doing something wrong. I'm sorry I enjoy getting a good deal. You would think most costumers do. But she takes it to a whole other level. It's almost as if mine and my friends presence annoys her. We inconvenience her. Or somehow we are cheating Meijer and the deals posted. I don't know. But after today, it's my last straw. It's not fair for me to have to make multiple trips to make sure she isn't working or to come back at a better time so I can get something corrected. Even if she doesn't like me, that's fine, but she doesn't have to publically advertise her dislike for myself or "couponers". I don't cause her any harm. I don't bother her. I don't deserve to be treated the way she treats me or feel the way I feel after meeting with her. After today, I decided I needed to contact someone and inform them of how she treats customers.
meijer brand colby jack cheese sticks 33% less fat 12 snacks
Out of the 12 sticks, 9 had to be opened using a knife because they were completely sealed shut. Not convenient when you need something and don't have a knife handy. Would like to give it another go since I like the Meijer brand better than any of the name brand string and stick cheeses. Complimentary package would be nice for the inconvenience. pharmacy
I am very upset tonight, I had to transfer my 10 month old daughters medicine from walmart to meijer. Being told that I would only have to wait an hour. I then called after waiting an hour (which was fine with me) to get a very rude lady on the phone.. Who actually wanted to argue with me stating that she never got a call about a transfer. Then she asked her manager who I heard in the background.. If they had received a call. Which they did! So now here I sit, very pissed off because i've dealt with nothing but poor customer service but I also h e to wait yet another hour and have a very miserable baby because she hasn't been able to receive her medicine. I work full time and had no time to go straight to the pharmacy so it would have just been nice to deal with a better attitude. Thank you meijer pharmacy.. Not!
purple cow fudge bar
Inside the box of 12 fudge bars was a completely sealed empty wrapper. The markings on the box were:
NOV 12 17 SR/FV
362677 06:52
I do not live close to a Meijer but I always pick up up 4 boxes of these bars when I'm in the vicinity of a store within an hour of Fremont. I can email the picture, it is too large for me to attach to this page. For the benefit of your quality control, I wanted to make you aware of this. Thank you for this quality product.
meijers weekly ad
There are a lot of us that are wondering whats going on with you weekly the last couple of week. Why are we only getting 1/2 of your ad and to see the rest of it, we have to go to Meijers.com. Even with the 2 day specials. So, not everybody has a computer or fancy phone to check the ad out. Why are you doing this ? Its kind of discrimation against these people. PLEASE go back to the full ad. Thank you, Mary A. Bruins [protected]@hotmail.com
macaroni and cheese
I found little black bugs as we'll as what looked like white larvae in the noodles. I'm nit sure what kind of bug, but needless to say I was so glad I noticed them before I served it to mu family!... I love meijer brand food, because it saves on my families food budget. I really hope to hear from customer service so I can feel confident that this won't happen again.. Thank you for taking the time to hear me out.
Box was 2023, black or brown bugs and white larve with black head
Recently bought the Meijer elbow macaroni noodles. Once I started boiling, the bug and their baby larve came up and floated on the surface. Attached is the box (2023), bug larve on pot side, and on the boiled noodles.
apparel
I buy my black work pants at meijer because they usually fit pretty well and they are cute and usually on sale, but because they are poorly made, they rip, fray, and get holes easily, but since they are usually cheaper, I just buy more. Today, I went to Meijer to buy more, and they were on a rack that said "$10 or less." I picked out two pairs as well as a pair of leggings that were also on sale for $15. When I was ringing up my items at the self checkout, the pants that were supposed to be $10 or less rang up as $26 each. I told the young man working the area that they were on a rack for $10 or less and he said he couldn't change it and he had to call for assistance. I was already annoyed that they rang up as $26, and it was only made worse by having to wait on that. An older lady came over and tod me that they were in fact $26, and when I pointed out that the whole rack of these pants said "$10 or less, " she informed me that the whole area was marked incorrectly. Not only was it highly annoying and unprofessional, but it was also false advertising, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. From now on I'll be buying my work clothes from Target because these pants are too cheaply made to pay $26 and be lied to.
knorr rice side
To Whom It May Concern,
On March 13, during my shopping experience at Meijer, I noticed a large special display in the end aisle that had Knorr Selects rice packages. The sign above was clearly marked 10 for 10. After double checking, I placed two in my cart.
As I checked my receipt after arriving home, I noticed that I was charged $1.89 each bringing the total to $3.78. I was mildly perturbed, as I had purchased them under the understanding they were on sale.
I shop almost exclusively at Meijer, and have always found your customer service above reproach...until today. I took my receipt to the customer service desk, and mentioned to the person my belief that I was overcharged. She informed me that even though the sign said 10 for $10, $1 each, the packages were indeed $1.89. She indicated that she knew what display I was referring to, and had seen the sign...she did not recognize the misleading nature of the display, even though I pointed out it clearly was marked $10 for $10, and refused to acknowledge Meijer's false advertising.
I am disappointed. Shopping at the Three Rivers & Coldwater Meijer stores have always been pleasant. Sigh.
I would appreciate it if you would honor the $1 cost & refund me $1.78. It's the principle.
Thank you for taking the time,
Michelle Brokaw

Alright, I recently applied to the new meijer store opening in sault Sainte marie, MI. Only to find that the job I was looking into (starbucks supervisor) had already been given to one of my Facebook friends jillian smart. I messaged her asking about the news and was trying to see if she'd put in a good word for me bcs I'm applying. She then told me I HAVE NO OPENINGS! This store isn't scheduled to open for a couple more months. I figured meijer is an equal opportunity workplace and I was shook by this girl who is pretty much telling me she's not giving me a job before she even goes to orientation? My complaint/question would be does this girl know what she's talking about and can she refuse me before even reviewing my application! I think the new starbucks supervisor will be causing many unforseen issues with the new store and I hate to see such a nice space get wasted with disrespectful and immature staff.
id scanning for the purchase of buying alcohol.
I understand that underage drinking is a problem. However, data collection is also a problem in our society. If I am buying a bottle of wine, the clerk can look at my drivers license to determine if I am of age. (I am 65). But to have to scan my license into your system is invasive and unnecessary. How do I know what you are doing with thus info? I will not purchase alcohol at Meijers anymore and will convince my considerably large network of friends to boycott your stores as well.
Meijer is all over the board with their id policy for alchol purchases. I am 50 years old and in the past 3 weeks I have made 3 alchol purchases on 3 different occasions. Twice I do not get asked for id just my birthday to enter. And then today, of course when its absolutely pouring down rain and I left my id in ky car the lady insists she must see my id. Come on really? I'm f'ing 50 years old. I fortunately do not look my age but you certainly should be able to discern that I am well over 21 years of age.
weekly ad
Pretty put off that in big bold at bottom of this week's ad (3/12/17), it reads lenten special then has pics of shrimp, fish, crab legs, along with three thieves wine! Really? Kind of a ad 'subtle' slap in the face. Someone was really not thinking when they did that. I mean come on. I get the whole lenten specials with fish, and I don't complain that catholics drink, but very poor choice of 3 thieves if you are catholic there were 3 crucifixtions on that hill - 2 thieves and jesus. I'm really put off by this
pharmacy
First of all, I am not making a complaint out of anger, but because something absolutely has to change at the Meijer Pharmacy in Richmond Kentucky. I am completely baffled by all of the constant mistakes and lack of concern at this pharmacy. And when I say constant I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I may have had one trip with no problems. The employees obviously do not communicate at all, do not know what to do, or just do not care. The latest experience was when filling my uncle's medication. We dropped off around 10 prescriptions and were informed they had them all and that they would be ready in an hour. We picked them up a little later and 3 were missing. 2 of which were heart medications that can't be missed. The excuse was, "We did not know which ones to fill."
My God...well so did you just guess which 7 you WERE going to fill? OK I've typed way too much already. So in summary, I've never seen such steadily horrible service like with this pharmacy. They've put my 85 yo grandmother and my uncle in danger with their goof ups. They are completely incompetent and as of today there's 4 of us going to Rite Aid right down the road.
groceries
I just purchased $17 worth of items. Oranges, bandaids cookies pears etc. got all of my items home. Started unpacking them and found that one of my packages of bandaids was opened and only had4 in the box. It is s 30 pack of bandaids. It was but one get one 50% off so I'm only out a dollar. Big deal right.
Then I grab my package of no bake cookies from the deli department and lo n behold there is another open package with 2 cookies missing out of 9. What the hell is going on. Straight in the garbage went the cookies.
It is not worth my time to drive 10 miles then spend the time going to service desk and try to explain the dilemma for $4.50.
I am pretty sure I'm done shopping at my local meijer store after this. Kroger is closer anyway.
Thought you'd like to know.
Thx
Brian Cunningham
discrimination and violation of my rights.
Was at the Meijer store in Danville Il. on Sunday March 5 at about 4 pm. I tried to purchase alcohol with my ID. My ID is from the Illinois State Police as it has a background check on it. The anti gun cashier and manager I talked to claim its a valid id (and is required in this store for bullet purchase) but would not accept it because it did not have the following words on it (State of Illinois). They told me any ID with my Picture, address, age, and it has to state "State of Illinois" is valid. They need to be informed of Illinois Liquor Control Act found in 235 ILCS 5/6-16: as it states "Adequate written evidence of age and identity of the person is a document issued by a federal, state, county, or municipal government, or subdivision or agency thereof" I am sure the State Police is a agency of the state. I have been using my ID at this store for over a year without ever a problem until Sunday. If this is a new policy of Meijer to be anti gun, please let me know as I can take my business to other stores who don't have any issues with my ID. Thank you
patches from pharmacy
I came in on sunday to get 2 prescriptions filled at the meijer in taylor. The man that took the prescriptions was very rude and told me the patches wouldnt be in until tuesday. I came in tuesday/yesterday and they still werent there, they said they would transfer me to southgate where they could give me half of my prescription. They didnt transfer the prescription at all so i came back in and asked for my paper prescription back so i could take it to the southgate location myself.
After dropping it off at southgate she said she would give me 2 patches and the rest would be in today, so i went today and they still werent there.
I dont have the time or gas to be going back and forth, its ridiculous. I shop constantly at meijer but ill definitely never get a prescription there again.
