Menards Mask mandate- Rude employees

The Mask man date at Menards is ridiculous. There are no scientific studies that say masks even work. Our state does not have a mandate for masks. I am 70 years old, fully vaccinated, and was berated at Menards in Lafayette, IN, because I was not wearing a mask. 3 or 4 employees standing together (you would think they have other work to do), with one person doing the berating. I believe it was all an intimidation tactic. I explained I was fully vaccinated. She said she didn't care. I had to wear a mask. I told her that was ridiculous. She didn't care. I said you are doing a great disservice to your store. I won't shop there again. We will go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Menards is the only store where I have received such rude and unprofessional treatment. Other stores give you the option of masks or no masks. Menards is the only store with mask police. What is the purpose of getting a vaccine if you are FORCED to wear a mask. God help this country!

Desired outcome: Stop the mask mandate.

Menards Masks--You're TOO RIGID!

You are being far too rigid on the mask enforcement. My gosh, the numbers are down, folks! Take a chill pill. I went in, yes, I had my mask with me, but didn't put it on right away. Immediately, I assume a supervisor was there barking at me to put on my mask. I think I rolled my eyes, yes, petulant, but she immediately reached for her radio, and wouldn't you know it, the BIGGEST, brutish employee you've got there in Baxter appeared.

So, intimidation now? That's what you're resorting to? I wish I had never stepped into your store. I spent over $2, 000 there that day only because I would have had to drive two hours out of my way for a different store (would I have been intimidated there, too, into wearing a mask?). So, I shouldn't have spent that money. Should have left. You didn't deserve my money for your martinet behavior.

Ease up! Stop bending your damned knee to the horrible Governor.

Menards Rude Manager

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I have been using this Menards since they opened. Looks like I will be heading back to Lowes and Home Depot. The manager (Oliva) has a very poor attitude. How she is in customer service doesn't sit well with me. On at least 4 occasions where I had to deal with her was very stressful and unpleasant. She seemed in a rush, never made eye contact, and never really acknowledged me. Now the way she speaks to the employees is extremely disrespectful. The way she watches the cashiers and especially the older cashiers is very creepy. Not sure how she got this job but I will never step foot in that store again.

I know this is the biggest waste of my time. This complaint is for me only.
this will be ignored mush like myself when I deal with Olivia.

Desired outcome: replace her.

Menards The mask policy..

You may want to be aware that there are Businesses...such as Lowe's home store that are giving Customers the FREEDOM to wear or NOT wear a CHINA mask. By you forcing a mask on anyone...that is clearly Medical Discrimination. At the end of the day ...once you disrespect and lose a customer...THAT IS YOUR LOSS. I will not return to your store. You don't support my freedom...I will not support your business. I will support those businesses who actually supported me through out this craziness.

Menards 6 by 6 ft deck rail kit number on box 171-7380

I called Menards at store no. 3135 at 3408 HWY. 61 North Muscatine, Iowa 52761 to get help in purchasing materials for a deck, A man named John F. at the Muscatine Iowa Menards, did the workup and I went out and purchased all the items amongst these was 6 of the 6 foot deck rail kits with number on the box being 171-7360 which showed the picture on the box with the rails and the aluminum spindles. I also purchased brackets and everything else he said I needed coming to over $500 dollars on Mon. April 26th 2021. I had also purchased over $500 worth of deck boards and other lumber needed a couple of days prior to this I believe that was April 23rd.. Wed. 28th came and when the person putting my deck together and I saw that there was No spindles in the box. I called out and spoke to John telling him they weren't in there he said that they were on my ticket I got the ticket and read it to him it showed the 6 kits I purchased. He then looked at his end at the kit box and found I needed to purchase them separately at $1.79 each. I told him those kits are totally Deceiving as the picture on the box shows them and that he works there and he even thought so. He agreed and offered me 35 cents off of a total of 63 spindles that I would need. This led to extra expenses that I had not expected but I didn't have much choice as I had a paid worker waiting at my house for them. I felt that it would have been fair had they just gave the spindles to me and to make an effort for this to never happen to anyone again by not showing the spindles in the picture on the kit. A kit should not show things in the picture that is not in the box again this is very deceiving. I had No other option at the time but to purchase them therefore spending another $95 dollars even with the 35 cents off of each one. I would feel whole if that money was refunded to me. All total within over 5 trips to get things needed I spent around $1, 100.

Menards e-commerce

Menards refused to do interstore transfers of products. If your local store is out of stock they force you to purchase online.

When you purchase online, Menards charges you a processing fee, proportional to your purchase total and number of items, plus shipping charges.

The items I was planning on purchasing totaled $311, plus $12.80 processing fee, plus $34.20 shipping charge, and of course sales tax.
Why anyone purchase from the company is astonishing when every other home improvement store offers free online purchasing, free in store pickup or free shipping (over a certain $ amount).

Desired outcome: Free interstore transfers of products, eliminate fee based online purchases.

Menards Maytag Top Loading Washer

On Nov. 30 2020 I purchased a Maytag washer for 1010. 00 for my business, no one at Menards told me that there was "Mandatory" action required in Feb. 2020, on March 29th it stopped working with an "F2E2" problem, April 5 the service man came out and and knew right what it was, ordered the parts and said it would take four months to get the parts, we are now into our season at the lake and I had to go out and buy another washer to take it's place. Needless to say I'm disappointed with Menards for not telling me about the recall and I had no idea Maytag is now made by Whirlpool which is not a plus. I would like to send this washer back to Whirlpool. I seldom spend that much money on a washer and certainly not a Whirlpool. That's what I want to do, is it possible? Let me know... Thank You...

I went to Menards in Sidney, Ohio today and shopped throughout the store without a mask. I saw several employees with mask that were pulled down past their mouths and sitting under their chin. Menards Customer service

I was in your illustrious store on monday 4/19/2021 to return some items. The woman at the "service" desk was "greeting" another customer when I entered. The gentleman was wearing a mask and had a child in his hand headed for a cart. The child was maybe 3 or 4 and going to ride in the cart. He was stopped by said employee and was absolutely lambasted for his child not wearing a mask. Now we know children are not carriers of the dreaded virus. But for a customer to be treated in such a manner was absolutely uncalled for. I won't even get into the impossibilities of a public area being cross contaminated. Your employee needs to be trained in customer service and general appropriate behavior in response to this situation. And as a company you need to review this policy which is medically ridiculous and should be considered fauci-ism and not scientifically sound. Thank you.

Menards Customer service

I will not shop at Menards any longer because of the Nazzi-like enforcement of "proper" mask wearing. While wearing a mask in the Louisville store, I was not allowed to order building materials unless my mask was snuggly pulled up to the order taker's satisfaction. I informed the on-duty manager of the situation, and she replied that I can go shop next door (at Lowes). So I did, and will continue to from now on.
At Lowes, a mask is not required, and they are perfectly willing to accept my money.

Menards Delivery and customer service

I had placed a order on 3-20-21 for around 1700.00 dollars.2 different order # due to shingles being what i guess had to be ordered.put on delivery date i would like to have stuff brought around 4-9-21, due to im only off on thursdays, fridays, and saturdays, and put that in comment box when i placed ordered.never got any contact from them till 4-9-21.when my things was not brought.emailed customer service and person said he contacted me the day i bought which is not true at all..then he told me all my yhings are there and i could have it brought on tuesday which i asked him about thurs, fri, or sat, and he said thurs would be fine.well yesterday came and went and no email no call nothing.i contacted them again this morning and lady said my what she said was my water heater had to be ordered and it was there so i could come pick up everything in a emailed.i replied that i payed 130.00 for delivery.and that her computer was wrong because my receipt says the shingles had to be ordered not the water heater and i have not got any response from them

Drove an hour to this store to purchase needed items, hauling a trailer. While shopping an asst. mgr. (Zach) demanded I wear a mask. I left my products where they sat and took my [censored] to Lowes and spent my 500 bucks there. I will never set foot in one of your stores again. Menards Employees

1. Boy in paneling dept used the F word at me.
2.Cashier at last register refused to check me out even after showing her my letter from the VA
3. Mngr said not his problem
4. Boy who said F word to me took my paneling cart while I was looking for the wainscoting and then sneered at us.
I'd rather eat a bug than to ever give you my business [protected]@

Menards Rebate receipt

I have spent thousands in past few months at Menards, received a rebate of $205.23 on 04/11/21 shopped at Menards in Rice Lake WI. spent $119.51 asked cashier on how to use remaining balance of $85.72 showed on cash register receipt. Amber the cashier said to just present the cash register receipt. On 04/13/21 I shopped again at Menards in Rice Lake WI. I had about $800.00 in merchandise on my cart proceeded to check out and upon paying presented my cash register receipt showing a balance of $85.72 on rebate cashier called over Manager showed my cash register receipt with rebate balance. Manager said I needed the original MCC rebate card, could not expect just receipt, I told Manager I was told by employee Amber all I needed was register receipt, manager said she was wrong, I said who am I to believe, He told him, I told him that don't help me now is there anything he can do now to make it right to use my rebate balance, manager said I would have to have my MCC card and use it at another time, I was very upset at this time, and stated what good is this cash register receipt, Manager said sorry can't help you, I told him if that is the case I would leave all merchandise here, and would do my shopping at Home Depot from now on, Manager made some rude comment about down the street, I was pissed! I drove home 25 miles called Menards Corporate Office [protected] explained my complaint they said to write a written complaint which I am. I also called Rice Lake [protected] spoke to General Manager John told him my complaint of his employees, said he would speak to them? John also told me to go online to Menards Rebates International.com get my rebate info maybe get a balance rebate issued. I found my info needed to be showed my rebate balance, but not how to get issued. I called back Rice Lake spoke to John again General Manager told him my find on info, anything he could do to make this right, also asked if he could compensate me for my troubles over this ordeal, John said sorry store cant do anything, it is out of his hands? So I stated to John that tells me about Menards! SO I decided to drive to Menards in St. Croix Falls WI. on same day 04/13/21 I load up my cart with some supplies as other Menards about $800.00 in merchandise go to checkout, and before ringing up items I mention to cashier who was Kelly about my cash register receipt for rebate she calls over head cashier, forget his name? I explained to him about my cash register receipt remaining balance, show him, told him I spoke to corporate. He proceeded to cash register punched in some numbers and up comes my remaining balance on rebate $85.72 AMAZING how 1 person can resolve an issue just like that, he did not question about my Original MCC card or anything just went right to cash register and did his magic WOW! I was delighted I thanked him and Kelly for an amazing job! I did not even mention what an ordeal I had at Menards in Rice Lake WI. So my biggest beef is why Menard in rice lake could not take care of my issue there in store without causing me all the turmoil time wasted gas mileage! Does Menard stores have different policies in handling situations in my mind what happened to me was uncalled for! Any customer! It is a matter of training and attitude< my statement is that general manager john is no better than employees< john needs better trains!

Desired outcome: I do wish to be compensated for this uncalled for issue!!

Menards Delivery and packaging of concrete block

I stopped at the Manitowoc WI. location on April 6 and ordered concrete blocks to be delivered today 4/10 between 7am-12pm. I asked if it would be later morning or earlier. The assistant pulled out the clipboard and it only had one delivery written down for 7am so he said it should be early.
I cancelled work and was up at 7am waiting. At 11:43am I received a call and the young man stated that they would be on their way with my delivery.
I said I was told it would be earlier and between 7-12pm, to which the caller said "yeah, and it's 11:43" I said "Correct, and you're not here yet".
They arrived about 11:56 and set the pallet in my driveway at 12:02pm.
The blocks were stacked uneven and off center and the driver stated that he was sorry for the packaging, that they had all new hires working on these and that he's been having issues with all the deliveries.
He stated if any were damaged to just call the store and they would replace those because of how they were palletized and how they had trouble offloading and transporting due to this. The driver was very polite and I thank him and shook his hand.
When I went to cut the plastic wrap away the entire left side of blocks collapsed and tumbled onto my house which nearly went through the basement window. This caused some minor scarring and chipping but nothing significant. once unstacked I also noticed that 1 of the 4 corner blocks (1796121) was missing, I only received 3 but an extra (1796110).
My biggest complaint is that I took off work an entire morning to get my delivery at the very last minute of the contract. My whole morning was wasted and I paid a $90+ delivery charge.

Desired outcome: I believe at the very least I should be reimbursed for the delivery charge.
