Roach infested apartment
I moved to Chesapeake Glen Apartments on 10/2 and have had a roach problem from day one. I went to the office to drop off my move-in checklist and told the office staff about the roaches and she immediately got defensive as if they were her roaches. I can bypass ignorance but waking up to roaches in my bed is not tolerable. I plan to start figuring out how to relocate. I will say that they have sent an exterminator weekly with no results. It's actually getting worse.

I am calling from New Beginnings Inc. Baltimore MD, we provide services for individuals with disabilities. We rent at 2401 Battersea for one of our clients > We have filed a complaint with the maintenance Dept. for several things and the time it takes them to come fix is aweful. We are now waiting to get our clothes dryer repaired. We filed the issue more than once and now we have been waiting for over 3 months to get our clothes dryer fixed. Bad move in
I moved in on October 14 and I was immediately greeted by roaches. My stove was broken and my cabinet was broken as well. I submit a report to the rental office and someone came out but the stove was still broken for 4 days following. I did not receive a new stove until October 18,2023. I never moved in somewhere that had so many problems on the first day.

Hello I am a resident at Montpelier on 11/20/23 at 3:40 pm apartments 11688 apt 2c I called the rental office about my heat one of the employees said that I was getting smart with her which i was not I asked her to see if the ticket was done because I was not home to see if the heat was taking care of before they closed she got smart with me on the phone cursing to her co worker in the back round and told me she was going to hang up on me she told me that because I put a ticket in today that the ticket wouldn’t get done today and it is about the heat which is an emergency and should have been taken care of she was very rude and disrespectful to me and do not need to be dealing with the public acting like that she is a bad face for your company.

I moved into the Forestbrook apartments in West Columbia SC. in June of 2023
I wasn't given a mailbox key at the time of move-in. Rather I was told by the district manager "The previous tenants did not return the key to the mailbox, and I would receive a new key by the next day, once the maintenance person arrived to work, because he has the extra key" That never happened.
Here it is September and I still after numerous requests haven't received a key to the mailbox.
As a result of this, I've gotten calls from utilities concerning pending shut-off notices and now a notice to vacate the apartment for withholding rent.
This is a violation of a federal law

My name is Brian Gowran and I live at 3136 Wallford Dr. to days ago my girlfriend got in an argument with one of the guys that ride around with the golf cart. He gets off the golf cart comes over and start arguing with my girlfriend. He goes back to the office and lies about what really happened. They are trying to say my girlfriend lives with me when she only comes on the weekends and the rental lady said I have to pay $250 to put her on the lease. Karen Armstrong is the property manager at Lake Vista Apartments in Rochester, NY 14612 Karen Armstrong is a RACIST and everyone from the prior staff/current not to mention the residents know this as well. Management discrimination
Morgan Property of Elmwood Village Landlord exemplifies discriminatory acts through words and deed towards Section 8 tenants . He yells, disregards and hang up on numerous tenants.The amount of discrimination we have received and being unlawfully sued according to HUD Federal Regulations Section 8 contract has made this landlord a thief who goes to city counsel meetings to win favor and cover the act of his greed. While he is adding many additions to the outside property and the insides are falling apart. He acts as if he has this powerful immunity and there are over 200 complaints about this property with similar issues so how can the tenants be lying? He is A slum lord and a thief who needs to be exposed.
We need to address these issues with the city council and bring it to their attention what and who he covers to be.

July´s rent was paid thur the telephone number listed called to make a payment gave my address and name asked what was my blance too pay for the month of July,2023 paided what was stated by the person taking the call on July 3,2023. On August 2,2023 I call the same number to pay my rent blance and was given a drifference amount with a late charge added for the month of July, 2023. We just want all of this to be taken care of
My wife and I have been dealing with several issues ever since we moved here on 11/22/2022.
- We have constantly been charged for pet fees even though we have written documentation that our cats are considered assistance animals. We also have a letter from the regional manager that says they are approved as assistance animals. According to the lease, assistance animals are not pets. However, we are charged pet fees every month which is violation of the lease. We should be reimbursed for all the pet fees we were forced to pay for the prior months as well.
- Our HVAC system is not working and we have put in several work orders and emailed the office that it was not working. Maintenance came in and put the thermometer next to the vent to show it was working. The problem was it was not circulating through the apartment. One day it got to 89 degees in our apartment and we have cats. We had no choice but to buy our own AC unit because we literally could not breathe in our own apartment. According to the lease, we should be having a working central air unit to properly ventilate the apartment. We contacted JCP&L and found out we were being charged more because the unit wasn't working and it was pulling more power.
- We have bee paying our rent on time using the company portal but it is not being processed until after the grace period and then saying we are late on our payments. Then we are being charged late fees which is completely ridiculous. We even got an overdraft charge because the complex tried to take out double the amount and then were charged a late fee.
These issues continue to become a problem especially because the what we owe does not ever match the amount we agreed to in the lease. We have gotten several different balances with fees tacked on but no explanation of why they are there.
Desired outcome: and go back to paying the balance we agreed to when we signed the lease with no late fees or pet fees and being reimbursed for the AC unit.
Even though Kim tried to help us, the office at Mount Arlington Gardens in NJ has refused to help us and will not even try to after lodging this complaint. They tried to have their attorney. silence us. They do not care about my wife's disabilities at all which has made things even worse living here. They continue to overcharge us and refuse to reimburse us for bogus charges. We are met with rude, snarky comments from their office. We want to be reimbursed and have all our issues fixed. I do not believe that is too much to ask.
Mt Arlington Gardens resolved all our issues. My wife and I are very grateful for how much the Mt. Arlington Leasing office did for us and how they helped fix and correct all our concerns. Thank you for working with us to resolve all our issues.

Maintenance and leasing office
This is our second apartment with morgan properties. In 2020 we lived in Gwynn Oaks Landing Apartments. The only complaints from there is that our air and heat went out and the problems were never fixed. We would always get messages from Maintenance saying the job was finished but that was never the case. We also had a mouse problem that Orkin could never get under control.
Unfortunately, we decided to move to Cedar Gardens and Towers in April of 2023. One of the main reasons for moving here was to get an in-unit washer and dryer and get a den. Upon moving in we noticed water sitting in the washer machine and letting off a mildew smell. The dryer also does not dry, which maintenance came to look at and did not fix. Even though maintenance knows there is a dog in the apartment sometimes they will not come in because they hear my 10lb dog bark. When no one is home, she is always caged, which I told them, but they still refuse to come in. Another small issue was the move in process. Taylyn has good reviews online but it's a lie once you sign the lease. Before moving in she said that the apartment would be ready on a certain date so that I could see the place before actually moving in, it was never ready. Upon moving in I noticed window screens taped together, nails in the floor, bugs in the window seals and a dirty balcony with socks (I am guessing) hanging from the balcony. Taylyn also never gave me a mailbox key and Shakida just got it for me today 7/17/23 (Shakida and Shay are very helpful ladies that do their jobs). Our air conditioning is also out. Since we moved in the air would not go any lower than 73 and that was at night but recently the air stopped working all together, meaning the apartment is always around 85 degrees or higher. Living at Cedar Gardens you are charged an extra $80 a month for amenities when we don't get to use them. Since living here, I cannot use the pool because of weird hours, and I have not been given a fob to the gym. They told me I would have to come to the office whenever I wanted to go to the gym. Parking is terrible, you pay $20 a month for a parking spot and you still have to pray that your does not get hit because there are always kids in the parking lot throwing balls instead of playing in the field THAT RIGHT NEXT TO US or you have to worry about your neighbors parking their cars in front of your car causing you to be late to work.
P. S since there is no sidewalk, kids are constantly in the street while cars are SPEEDING past.
Desired outcome: I just want the things that were promised to me to get me to move in. I would like my washer and dryer fixed and to have AC that actually works and doesn't cost my BGE to be so high from running all day.

Living conditions/general experience
I am 14 days into my stay at Northampton Apartment Homes located in Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
To date I have complained by e-mail, phone and in person about the following:
1. Refrigerator - has "Cobra Kai must die etched in it."
2. Bathroom caulking looks terrible
3. Paint job in general is terrible (no sanding, just paint over existing lumps and bumps)
4. Cleaning - terrible
5. Shower door in master bathroom (can only open if you are a man
6. Scribble in black and white on the kitchen cabinet
7. Blinds in kitchen are basically hanging on for dear life (can't close them or they will fall off -wide open since my move in)
8. Paint on the counters (hence the reason for item 4)
9. Bathroom floor sticker is peeling/lifting
10. 2nd bedroom door - layer of paint is missing.
11. Stove was a disaster (that is the only thing that was replaced).
12. Master bathroom shower is cracking and the tracks are disgusting
13. The hallway bathroom is missing a hanging rack for wash cloths and towels as well as one if the knobs is missing a piece
I am finding issues daily, so I am sure I am missing something.
My move in was not seamless I was delayed by the rental office to move in at 3pm, after requesting to get my keys at 9:30 am (now I see what the delay was for). Sent me a goose chase to use that dumb WIPS payment. Basically, I reached my daily limit amd was declined (with cash).
At this point, I refuse to unpack, as I just want to recoup my monies and yake it else where. This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable, as I know no one in the leasing office would dare to agree to leave in these conditions, however, they put me in here.

Diamond Ridge Apts- Manager Amelia and repeated communication/safety/health concerns
Since beginning our lease at Diamond Ridge Apartments in Windsor Mill, MD, we have had consistent communication issues that led to unresolved safety and health concerns in the community. Not only were maintenance issues deleted and not addressed (December to March), but when we submitted formal letters (including from our lawyer), the manager provided excuses (on vacation) and was not able to respond to our direct concerns. Management stated that they were unhappy with their security detail and noticed the unclean property concerns, but we were given no details regarding steps taken toward resolution. We repeatedly reported broken glass in the parking lots, dog parks, playgrounds, and nails and glass around the dumpsters. We did not feel safe in this location, so we followed management's direction for getting out of our lease. Even as we continue to try to reach a resolution amicably, the management sends impersonal and clearly copy/pasted responses instead of addressing our concerns.
Desired outcome: End lease as of July 31, 2023 (see letters from residents and residents' legal council sent to corporate office and management) and waived buyout fee as a result of lack of communication and resolution.
Property manager and regional manager didn't address or even seem to care about the health or safety conditions of the rental location, even with photo evidence of trash and broken glass in hazardous shared spaces. It was more important to both managers that the buyout option was our only way to address the concerns we brought forward, since the lease and profits was a priority for both managers. This location does not care about the residents and should be inspected in detail for further negligence. I will never recommend this location to anyone and I will be passing on my lawyer's information to any residents in this location who are concerned about health and safety.
Leasing office at parkway station apartments.
The employees at the leasing office at parkway station apartments never answers the phone and isn’t in the office during normal business hours. I’ve called multiple times over the course of 2 weeks and left 3 different voice mails. I can’t get a parking pass for my vehicle or get a pool pass because no one is ever in the office and no one returns my phone calls. I’ve been dealing with this for months now but this is simply outrageous. They’ll tow my vehicle if I don’t get a parking pass but I can’t get a parking pass because no one is ever working. If my vehicle gets towed then what? Is Morgan properties going to pay the fee?
Desired outcome: I just need my issues resolved. I need my pool pass for the pool I can’t use. I need my parking pass situation resolved before my vehicle gets towed.
The issues have been resolved. After speaking to an associate with Morgan Properties, the manager for Parkway Stations Apartments reached out to me directly and helped me get everything taken care of. She also stated that despite the office schedule showing the office is open on Saturdays, it actually isn’t due to lack of staff. The office schedule simply hadn’t been updated and even today it still hasn’t been fix on the building or online. Other than that everything is now resolved. On Tuesday morning I was awakened by the sound of gunshots. That night the manager sent email explaining that police responded: no injuries to persons, just property. This happened in the cul de sac 150 yards from this building where I have lived since 2017.
Disregard for safety on basic level: lighting in breezeways and outside building should be repaired considering the number of complaints and efforts to get this done.
Lights on in breezeways may not stop a shooting, but it would show that Morgan Properties takes responsibility for basic safety of residents.
Desired outcome: Safety including well-lit breezeways and sidewalks Updates on whether or not those who shot up a section a building away from the building I live in have been apprehended.

Rodents in apartment
I scheduled Carriage Hill apartments exterminator services for 6/28 however they came on 6/14. I wrote on the work order I work in office every Wednesday. Unfortunately Wednesdays are the only day for exterminator services here.
Before I could reschedule an appointment I saw a rodent in my apartment at 3526 Carriage Hill Circle Apt 202 Randallstown Maryland 21133 on 6/23. I called Orkin pest control in Eldersburg MD for an emergency appointment on 6/24. They came set traps and poison. However it cost $334.99. I am asking to deduct the amount of the services from my July 2023 rent. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you
