Petro Canada customer service

Jane and shoreham, Ontario Canada. On Monday December 28 2015; went to use debit machine. Very cold day so I had tried to use back exit. Pushed door to open twice. Before going in, I thought I had seen someone come through that exit. i hear the cashier mumble "use your brain". I respond excuse me? He looked at the other customers and rolled his guts sticking his tongue out at me like I was stupid. How do you go disrespecting customer that way. We are the reason your [censored] have jobs.

Petro Canada car wash

Petro Canada, 13919 - 23rd Ave SW, Edmonton, Alberta T6R 3E7. I was at this gas station this morning fueling up and bought two additional Superworks as I usually stock up when I'm on my last one which was the case today. I used my last superworks this morning only to notice that the carwash caused damage to my vehicle. I went back this afternoon to get a refund on the two additional superworks purchased for 25.98 as I will never use this carwash again, only to be told that they are not refundable. These are unused car washes that I will never use again that I now have to eat the cost, as well as the cost of the damage to my vehicle. This speaks volumes of the customer service provided by Petro Canada. Very dissapointed with what I experienced today. I will never fuel up at a Petro Canada again. Sincerely, One Less Customer

Car Wash Incident on Feb 13, 2016
On Sat, Feb 13, 2016 at around 6.10 pm, I went for car wash at Petro Canada gas station at 620 Thomson Rd S, Milton.
In the mid of the car wash, the car wash system stopped and I did not notice it that the machine had stopped as I could not see outside of my SUV since it was covered with soap and liquid chemical. At that time, no staff from Petro Canada came to help and attend to us. The car behind my car hit the back of my SUV. Damages to be assessed. I then realized that washing system was not working.
I came down (in the washing area) to check my SUV and discovered that my SUV was fully covered with soap and chemical liquid and the whole car was total frozen including windshield, all windows, car body and wheels etc.
I drove my car out from wash area and started to scrap ice from windshield and car windows.
I told a staff who stand outside the car wash that he should come to our assistance and attend to us. His attitude was negative and said that he had no time to always look at the car wash machine. He said that I should know myself and drive my SUV out from wash area. He assumed that I (or the customers) always encounter such situation and know exactly what to do.
I asked for a re-wash since my SUV was totally frozen and covered with chemical liquid. After removing all the ice, I drove in for a re-wash. After the re-wash, my car still cover with ice but better than the 1st wash.
I inspected my car and discovered that my car license plate badly bent and license plate cover broken. I approached the same man who I spoke to outside the car wash. He later claimed that his name is DUSHAN and he is the Manager of the gas station. I asked him for compensation of my car license plate and cover. He told me that he will check the camera. I told him to go ahead and check. After some 10 to 15 minutes, he said he found nothing.
He refused to compensate me and asked me to call the telephone number behind my car wash card. When I went home and called the Petro Canada Customer Service Center, the staff told me that the gas station had to follow proper procedure by filing an incident report before they can commence any investigations. By the way, till now I am still not sure if there are any damages to the back of my SUV. I need to send my car to workshop for assessment after the Family Day (holiday).
I have to come the gas station again to file the incident report today. I am upset and highly disappointed that the gas station Manager DUSHAN failed to follow Standard Operating Procedures by conducting an investigation and filing an incident report. He also inconvenient the customer and I have to come to gas station again to file incident report.
I found the gas station Manager DUSHAN highly unprofessional, does not process the right attitude and does not know how to manage situation and customer.
DUSHAN is unresponsive, blaming customer and not working towards to resolve the issue. He play politics by asking me to call Petro Canada Customer Service Centre instead of filing an incident report which is a standard procedure. He did not keep to his promise. Initially he told me he will give me a car wash coupon for re-wash but later he refused to give it to me. He gave it me finally as I was not happy and reminded him that he broken his promise. DUSHAN’s attitude in putting profit ahead of custom needs in highly unacceptable. He also has poor communication and has no patient in connecting with customer. In general, DUSHAN’s process negative attitude in resolving the issue and his behavior towards customer is highly unacceptable. The cost for replacement for license plate and cover is highly negligible to the gas station but the situation was highly badly managed by the manager DUSHAN.
I could have spent time to have a wonderfully Valentine dinner with my wife tonight but instead I have to come to the gas station to file incident report. It spoiled my Valentine Day and Family Day.

Petro Canada not checking id's for credit usage allowing fraudulent charges on a stolen card

Some [censored] stole my account information and ran multiple charges at Petro Canada in Quebec. Apparently its completely normal for someone to run the same card for 4 separate transactions in a row... Up your identity theft awareness to the staff!. If It wasn't for my banks security team he/she would have gotten all my money. As far as I'm concerned Petro Canada is just as guilty as the identity thief

Petro Canada worst retailer and poorest customer relations

I drove in for car wash in the passage I was hit with something and when I came to inspect my car wash I found that the back trunk door was still dirty and found that the middle part of side tire was broken and the air was coming very fast. I went inside and told the manager she was too rude and went outside and checked the tire. she asked me fill the incident report where i was insisted to fill the license number she said it is mandatory for claim. She said she will talk to BOSS in afternoon I received the call from Petro-Canada Manager that “ BOSS IS SAYING THAT IT CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE and YOU CAN COMPLAINT ANYWHERE”.
I logged in Complaint with Customer Services of Petro Canada they had same answer as like all other complaints " THE SITE IS INDEPENDENTLY OPERATED BY RETAILER". If this type of answer they have to give to all customers than why Petro Canada have Customer relations department instead of paying to employee they can put the sign at the gas station this will save their cost also.
The RETAILER of the Gas Station was so arrogant, rude that he never even bothered to reach me despite i have called his gas station and left message for him many time. This is the type of courteous behaviour you expect from the Petro Canada.
I have put complaint with BBB also to them also Customer Services department replied "THE SITE IS INDEPENDENTLY OPERATED BY RETAILER". I have send mail to directors and other officials also that it is matter of principles not money. At least they should take some action on Retailer for this rude and arrogant behaviour but there was no revert.

I pump gas into my car and even off to the dollar. The price reads $xx.00 when I stop pumping gas. By the time I hang up the hose, price creeps up by a penny. When I halt or release the dispensing lever, it is on even dollar. I never touch the lever again.
With years of gas attendant experience, I KNOW this is THEFT.

Petro Canada Unlawful gas charges

There îs a scam going on in Aurora, ON which I encountered at two Petro Canada stations located on Yonge street where after filling my tank with Regular Gasoline I ended up being charged for Premium Gasoline. When I asked the attendant what is going on, he just started to become rude and told me that I filled up my car with Premium and asked me to pay. I have told him to call the cops but he wouldn't. In the end I have paid and placed a complaint with Petro Canada but no response. These are thieves who apparently can get away with it and there is nothing you can do about it. Be aware at least when you fill up at Petro Canada. For me, never again. I will avoid their gas stations like the plague.

This just happened to me at 15440 Yonge Street Petro Canada in Aurora! A FB post cautioned me to take a better look at my gas receipts, and when I noticed the cost to fill my tank was higher than usual, I looked at the receipt to see I was charged for Superclean premium grade over regular (which I know for a fact that I selected!). The difference is $10! The employee said that nobody else had complained about that pump and insisted that I had selected the wrong grade. (The two buttons for the grade couldn't be any further apart!) He refused to put an 'out of order' sign on the pump and said I had to call the 1-800 number for Petro, which I did and filed a report. I was told to dispute the charge with my credit card and that they are going to open an investigation. Such a scam! If this has been going on since 2015, can you imagine the money this scam is making?! The employee seemed to conveniently forget English, the longer I was there questioning him and the Manager of the store didn't seem at all concerned when I contacted him later by phone. CONSUMERS BEWARE!

i work at the petro canada and if you are not from thier province, they have to ask for your passport or birth certificate( for instants you gave them id from Alberta, they have to ask for your passport if you went to a BC gas station. i know that because i have been told. but that is no excuse for the rude behavior and no reason to file a complaint for him to ask for your passport. its just rules we dont enforce them we follow them. and if you gave him a BC id then he is at fault.

Petro Canada customer service

My name is Paul McNee and I have a complaint to make. On October 11, 2014. I went to the Petro-Canada Station at 1175 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario, N6G 2B9. I got out of my car and my 13 year old daughter also got out of the car. She proceeded to fill my gas tank up to the exact amount of $15.05. I then went into the Petro Canada Station and paid the amount $15.05. We then left the station and drove to are Seasonal Trailer, were we were enjoying the day as well as I was closing it down, winterizing it for winter. While at the trailer a Police office showed up at my front door. My wife answered and he told her that someone blond lady driving my car had filled up $25.00 and taken off with out paying. My wife gave him the cell phone number we could be reached at and he called and left a message. I called him and got of hold of him and he told me what he had told my wife about someone not paying the $25.00 at Petro Canada. I told him I had the recite for the $15.05 of gas that I had paid for. He told me to proceed to the Petro Canada Station and show them the recite. I had to drive back into London from my Season Trailer and showed the clerk my recite. She said she would call the police office and tell him I had it. My complaint is I had to used my own gas to drive into show my recite. The camera should have also shown me beside my daughter filling up the gas as well as going into pay it. I have been a loyal Petro Canada user for many years and just moved to the area of the 1175 Wonderland North Petro Canada. I have no attention of using that station again as well as I deserve a formal apology and I'm not sure about even using Petro Canada again.
From Paul McNee a very unhappy customer.

Why not wait until you returned to London...and then go to the gas station. What was the hurry? They weren't going to arrest you...otherwise they would have returned to your trailer.

Complain about Fakhry (Manager)
Address: 2500 Sheppard avenue E, North York, ON M2J1X1
Employee: Ali Haider
I am working on Petro Canada from Jan 2013. I didn't remember the exact dates. For the proof you can check the camera recording and ask from other employees. ( Jhon and Vijay)

1. Fakhry call me in the morning and said $5 short in your shift and when he recheck my shift he said sorry about this its ok.

2. He call me and said your shift report is missing and on the same time i call on the gas station and GSA told
me that your shift report is in the envelop its not missing.

3. He said you didn't changed the garbage bag and when i told that you can check in the camera recording because
i changed the garbage bag, he said i have no time to check and this is your last warning.

4. Fakhry call me in the morning and said $16 short in your shift and when he recheck he said sorry this is not your
shift. This is another guy shift.

5. He said $50 petro Canada card is missing why ? I told him I don't know about this. Employee name VIJAY basically he activated that card and when i closed my shift Jhon came and he placed that card near the till. ( you can confirm this from Jhon)

7. One day when I came on shift there was another guy, I told him that this is my shift but he said fakhry told me

Petro Canada inept, fraudulent company - beware

BEWARE of this company. Inept employees, a supervisor (Mike or Mark?) who is a complete tool, and what we think is fraud being done on their part.

Our story is very long, but the cliff notes are as follows.

- we ordered the $60 personalized card that waives fees and has your name on it. Says it will come in a few business days. A lie. Took close to a few weeks to get it even though you are PAYING for quick delivery. They lie about delivery times, even though you pay for quick delivery.

- shortly after getting the card it was used in a fraudulent transaction a province away. It was used in a convenience store. If I am not mistaken you have to have a PIN code to use a credit card. How did someone get our PIN code AND the card number, expiry, CVV2, name on the card...it wasn't because of us. PIVOT blamed us, accused US of fraud, and 3 months later we still have not had the charges reversed because they lie to us and say they have not got the e-mail form to request the reversal of charges, even though it has been sent several times. Mike is a liar. we are not even bothering trying to reverse the charges because they are idiots.

- we bought two $100 load vouchers and they will not load. Customer service (LOL) now says we have to e-mail photocopies of the vouchers, the receipt, and it could take up to a week to get it resolved. Even though it is THEIR fault. I have pre-auth payments on that card and if I get late charges because of PIVOT's screw up, they will not reimburse me.

We are looking for another alternative to get away from the incompetent bozo's staffing ths company, the useless supervisor, and the borderline fraud this company is involved in.

Petro Canada poor customer service, calling customer stupid

Terrible customer service, calling consumer stupid: I filled my gas up and went inside the convenience store to buy a lotto Max and was ready to pay. I provided the cashier who does not even greet me, with my lotto max numbers and petro cards, after swiping them he says this is a useless card, out of curiosity I asked why the fuel savings card does not work, because I have already enrolled for the fuel savings card to be linked to my petro points. After I asked the question another attendant turns around and says in a very rude tone, "it's as simple as it says on the billboard, if you buy lottery you get the savings, if you don't buy, you don't get anything, anyone can read that." I told her I understood and that I am just curious why it's not working because I purchased my lottery, I should be eligible for my savings, then in a very rude tone she says, "well it's not working, so you don't know what you are talking about, fine if you want to save money here i can give you as many empty fuel savings cards if you want, not that you can save anyways, even a regular kid will know that these are empty. She then throws a card at me, I told her that this is terrible customer service, I was only looking for answers. This attendant then turns around and shrugged saying "oh well."

- Attendant raising their voice to answer a consumer and criticizing them; calling a consumer stupid
- Throwing things at a consumer

All in all, there was no respect and courtesy to start off when I entered the store to pay for my gas.

I purchased air time for my telephone, specifically stating I wanted Virgin Mobility. The personnel gave me air time for Petro Canda Mobility. I discovered the error later and went back to get a correction to the error and they refused to give me a refund or correct by giving me a Virgin Mobile card with the same value on it. Basically, they defrauded me out of 42.00 dollars.

Petro Canada carwash damage followed by avoidance

In late January, Carwash door fell on my truck. At time, they were real nice. Attendant said they had been having problems with Car Wash. Manager said I would get a call from Insurance company with 48 hours. After 3 months of me bugging them they finally informed their insurance company. They told their insurance company to deny as the car wash was working fine and I caused the incident...
Funny part is that I was spending over $500 per month for fuel and car wash. Damage is likely under $1, 000.

I don't know whether you settled this yet, but the easiest thing to do is contact your own insurance company and inform them of the situation. If they are a half decent insurer, they will contact the liable party (Gas Station) and they will probably be able to convince them to make things right. Hopefully you have some evidence to backup your claim. (Camera phone picture of the door resting on your vehicle when it malfunctioned would be a slam dunk.) Just my two cents. The next thing you can do is file a claim in small claims court. You don't have to have a lawyer for that, and if they fail to show up, you will win by default. Just my two cents...

Petro Canada ripping off

I am adding my words to that llist (13 pages!) of complaints concerning that PETRO COMPANY. This past March, I finally dropped them on account of their outrageous treatment after having been a customer for 30 YEARS. I had been naive enough not to double check in the rate of oil per gallon. After reading some complaints following a series of unacceptable behaviors, like dodging all my written questions and, finally answering me a hypocritical letter full of what I called in my answer to them (jargon, baloney, and ###)such as: "When we can 'help' a customer, we do!", I finally took action. I reviewed 9 invoices of deliveries from [protected] and realized that all those were charged ALMOST $100 MORE THAN ANY OTHER COMPANIES' CHARGE - I calculated their cheating at $4.00 a gallon (not at $3.80 which most other's charge) and found out that they ripped me off about $900 dollars plus, of course, the tax that I had paid on those whole sums. That comes close to a$1000 AND I DID NOT CHECK YEARS BEFORE 2011. If they do that to hundreds of customers, they are loading their pockets.

There had been other "telltale signs" that I had closed my eyes on namely one, five years ago. If one of their "employees" who was supposed to clean my boiler ( in that case I believe, again too late, that that youngish man was one on the upper rungs of the ladder) comes up from your basement with a WET INDEX FINGER POINTED AT YOU AND A HALF-SMILE ON HIS FACE, ( a smirk-like smile, as was the case, telling you), "YOUR BOILER HAS A LEAK.".

DON"T DO LIKE ME - DON"T PANIC AS I DID BUT GET A SECOND OPINION.; SOMETIMES, WE DON"T SEE THE SIGNS RIGHT AWAY BUT THEY COME BACK TO OUR MIND LATER . Of course, in that case, I have no proof, but, as Lionel on the Channel 11 News says: "THINK AS YOU SEE FIT..."

By the way, there are so many no-nos in that contract that they can do anything they want...Also, that contract is over $300 more than any companies'.

Moreover, while digging into my files I found another letter I wrote to them in 2004! I was already hinting at looking for another company at the time. However, I kept tolerating, figuring that "the devil you know may be better than the one you dont'." I WAS WRONG; SHOULD HAVE DUMPED THEM TEN YEARS AGO! Of course, I'm a senior, a female without what I call a 'bodyguard" - (read a husband or a male figure) and that makes a difference!

They did refund me first $100, then, another $200, to quiet me down after my screaming and my printed, registered letters as proof, maybe afraid that I would follow up further? a pittance, considering how much they must have silently ripped me off. As I wrote to them: "You don't 'help' your customers, YOU ABUSE THEM!

Well, better late than never: GOOD RIDDANCE, PETRO!

My friend Lisa placed a correction on my letter dated April 20 which was not totally exact - concerning line 8. It is supposed to read: "I realized that all those were charged ALMOST one dollar more per gallon than other companies: UP TO $4.75 ( not always).

Petro Canada wrongful firing

I have been a dedicated, hard working person who worked for Petro Canada for almost 3 years. I recently came back from a 18 day vacation which I had given 3 month advance notice on. When I returned not even 2 minutes into my shift and the boss sits me down and says "We've made a lot of changes to the company. This also includes the staff. So unfortunately we have to let you go." 2 weeks before Christmas. Being fired without "just cause" is wrong. Especially when I have given a lot of loyalty and dedication to a company. I have never left the in the middle of the shift angry, I have never been late for a shift. Most cases I have been early. I have always done my job as told and sometimes I did extra when I wasn't too busy. I worked for a 1 cashier site and built a good customer base there. I never did like saying "my pleasure" much because it took away the uniqueness of being yourself. But I did it anyway out of respect for the policy. Occasionally I would question something I did not understand. I have never been so disgusted or disappointed in a job before. I was always pushed aside when it came to have an opportunity to advance. I was never evaluated or given a raise my whole time there. I have also had my schedule messed with so bad I could not afford bills, only to find out they have been given to another worker who was only there a year. I have worked with customers for almost 10 years so it's not like I am a spring chicken to this type of world. Has anyone ever had this happen to them while working for them? Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else. In my opinion this is NOT the right way to run a business at all.

sorry to hear about your job loss, unfortunately if they give you notice or a severance package it is perfectly legal, businesses do it all the time, just really bad timing :(

Petro Canada cellphone service

This company is the worst. I bought a cellphone and airtime of $100.
Everytime their system goes down - which is all the time - your service goes off too although you have paid in advance. If you don't use your phone nothing works. You don't know when there are system disruptions and they don't tell you when those disruptions have been resolved. Even worse, when I finally had enough of this company, I phoned them to unlock my cellphone so I could use it with another company. Well, Petro-Canada will not unlock your cellphone either! Their excuse? That their generator isn't working and hasn't been working for months now, and they don't know when the "technical issue" will be repaired. So you are also stuck with a phone that you have bought that is now also useless. And you can't do anything legally about this company since they don't have an office in Canada. You are really looped with every penny you put into this venture. I have tried Fido whose service was good and Telus whose service has been excellent. Petro Canada's cellphone company is the worst overall. They take your money and you can phone them all you want - they are located offshore and they know that consumers can't do a damn thing once money exchanges hands. Avoid them. That's the best advice anyone can give you.

First off. I am very sorry you were treated in the manner you were. Being an attendant myself for Petro Canada. I Understand that many who pull in have lives and agendas also. And deserve to be treated with respect. After all. It is out of their pockets that their hard earned money is pulled from by gas companies period. But while that is said. I do ask you to please understand that this job is not as it appears. Nor is it easy. and comes with much responsibility and headache. Particularely Full serve stations. And Nor does it pay well. Average 10$ an hour. Now in regards to the attendant thinking you had not payed. To explain his actions and attittude. If any kind of theft whether it be gas, Or merchandise occurred and the attendant had not gotten as much info as possible of the perputrator. Petro Canada would deem him responsible. And therefore the loss in gas would come out of his/her pocket. So say you filled your truck with 400$ worth of diesel and took off while the attendant was away. He would have to pay for that gas out of pocket. And in thinking that was what happened in your case. I think that is why he behaved as so. Attendants don't live high quality lives as it is. So to lose that much more. Would be devistating to an already struggling life. I hope that helps answer your question. We're all human. I'm sure you've gotten mad at someone in your past. Well a store attendant is no different than you.

Petro Canada selling more gas than car can hold

I filled up my minivan, which has a 75 L tank and has never even topped 70 L at the pump. I managed to get 77.69 L in. I asked at the station about this and they said to take it up with the head office. When I contacted them, they assured me everything was fine. Still am in the process of sorting this out (any resources would be most appreciated) but would not fill up there ever again.

The regulatory agency that controls the measurement of the pump is Measurement Canada. You may try complaining to them and hope they will send out an officer to do testing on the pump you used. The will need the gas station address and pump number you used.

Petro Canada I can't trust this company anymore

I used Petro Federal Oil for some years. I have very limited budget, so I decided not to use them after the price becomes more than $4.4. However, they didn’t give me a warning about price changes. I can’t trust this company anymore. I think you get the idea of this complaint.

Petro Canada bullying in the workplace

While paying for my gas at the Full Service Petro Canada in my area, I witnessed the owner of the gas station swearing at an employee and being threatening towards the employee. I have never been so disgusted in my life. And to top that - before I left the station I witnessed the owner spill gas all over the ground! Unbelievable!
