be careful with petro canada mobile phone service
We heard about Petro Canada Mobile has a 'Unlimited Text Message Plan'. So we went to the gas station, and bought a SIM card and $25 top-up card.
We activated the SIM, and charged it with top-up card. We pretty sure we chose the 'Unlimited Text Plan'. We thought we are ok for use.
But after three days, we found we can't send any text messages or even phone call. I checked the balance, it showed '0'.
We called customer service, was told "we didn't register with any plan, so after we ran out of balance with 'Pay as you go'; our balance is '0'.
Even if the customer service lady knew we only sent the text messages, she won't (or can't) do anything about it. We end up spending $35 for two days use.
I am surprised Petro Canada didn't notify us which plan we are, and there is no notification when our balance is running low.
damage to dodge ram truck from car wash
July 23, 2016, we attended the Petro-Canada Gas Station, 900 Jamieson Pkwy, Cambridge, Ontario
owned by Jeff Mailette who currently owns roughly 13 franchises. We redeemed our Petro Points for a car wash. After the car wash, we noticed scratches to the rear driver panel that was installed December 2015. We immediately brought to the attention of the staff at Petro Canada who was very understanding and acted professionally. They witnessed the damage that we alleged happened through the car wash. We were told to return the next day and speak with the manager, which we did. Chantelle acknowledged the damage and stated she would have to speak to Jeff at this time we thought he was the manager but he turned out to be the owner. Chantelle told us to return the next day, which we did. After speaking to Jeff they concluded that the damage caused was consistent with the way the brushes move during the car wash. Chantelle stated that Jeff would be calling us in a day or so, which he did. Jeff stated if the damage was $100.00 he no problem with that but if it was more he would have to witness it. After that conversation, he called a few days later and with no advance notice that he was in the area and that he wanted to look at the damage. I(Barbara) went out to talk to him, he admitted the truck was in good shape. After speaking to him for a few minutes my other half John who is Black and that is when everything changed. He now stated the damage was caused by a cloth. The way he was talking to John, John felt insulted and went back in the house to de-escalate the situation. Jeff Maillette left and said he would discuss with his colleagues and said he would get back to us. He called us back and stated that he would not accept any liability but he would have to do it his way. We could not come to terms as to how the damages would be paid for, therefore a small claims court was filed. A Settlement Conference was scheduled for Jan. 10, 2017. Jeff Mailette stated the car wash was touch-less. The Deputy Judge advised both parties to make amendments to both the statement of claim and the statement of defence. During the settlement conference, the Deputy Judge made an order that the statement of claim and the statement of defence had to be amended filed and served within 20 days.
Jeff Maillette violated the order that, gave me the default judgment. Jeff served his amended statement of defence went down to the courthouse and perjured himself by stating that he served me in person when in fact he left the amended statement of defence on my doorstep. This is improper service. In fact, it is against the Rules of Civil Procedure and The Courts of Justice Act. I went down to the courthouse and advised the courts I was not properly served, that Jeff Mailette altered his statement of defence, entering new statements of defence, part of the documents were handwritten, he removed a large copy of photographic evidence that depicted the damage to the truck and replaced with a much smaller picture of photographic evidence where the damage was not noticeably visible.
A second settlement conference was set for May 18, 2017, during this settlement conference Jeff Mailette stated he offered a settlement but he failed to tell the judge that he did not put it in writing. The Judge stated that the offer of settlement has to be put in writing and ordered both parties to make an offer of settlement.
The falsifying of documents is totally unacceptable according to the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Courts of Justice Act. Due to Jeff Maillette's unethical behaviour of committing fraud and perjury and now entering into evidence a video of the car wash showing that it was not touch-less car wash and that he was lying at the pretrial and there does not allow that the rules of civil procedure do not allow and the Courts of Justice Act would not allow evidence from the pretrial to be entered as evidence at the trial.
It is my opinion that Jeff Maillette is a racist and a bigot, once he saw that my other half was black and his opinion of the facts around the damage to my truck changed.
I tried everything to reach an amicable and equitable settlement. I even tried to appeal to Jeff's common sense by letting him know that when he had his grand opening to launch his new franchise that I was second place winner and loyal customer ever since that day, I spent $3500.00 - $4000.00 in gas, food etc., at his gas station a year. I even suggested that I would remove the cost of the car rental which was $258.00 if he would just meet me half way. He stated no.
Minutes before the court was to start I made the same offer to Jeff to settle the case, it was if he knew he was going to win.
I do not believe there is another legitimate business owner that would not have seen the common sense of settling the matter out of court and keeping a loyal customer. I believe there was another reason, and I believe that reason was that my other half was black and that Jeff Maillette is a racist.
The only sad part of this whole ordeal is the staff that works at the gas station. I will miss the weekly conversations I had with them.

I wasn't able to purchase a visa prepaid card at 3:35 am but was told come back after 7 am . Without a reason. Not like it mattered. But I guess losing a customer plus a purchase to your store means nothing. But I wonder if Visa themselves would say about u guys turning customers away from there product. If I were them I'd take the product off shelves and Sue them cause I'm sure there contract doesn't say push people away who are interested in buying my products. I'm so pissed cause I needed that for an emergency .so Petro Canada SUCKS
credit card fraud.
I am from USA. I have a Visa card for 15 yrs. Never an issue. I made 1 purchase at petro-Canada and no others. My card would not work at the pump. I entered the store handed the clerk my card. The very next day I received a fraud alert from visa. From Canada and attempt to purchase Spirit Airlines tickets. Now my card is suspended due to fraud. I am contacting the local police to make them aware of this issue.

This cashier has NO customer services skills, he did not even greed me because I was on a Bike he assume I am a thief .
I am shocked to see a big company have in there front counter people like this to deal with customers .

all petro canada's in kelowna bc
I have found that there are several petro Canada's in Kelowna BC to be very disorganized and disrespectful to the guests and employees. There are two that are really bad one is on hwy 33 and they are very rude and when you ask for help they do it with a manner that makes you not want to come back. The store has very limited selection for anything you want in a convienece store.
The other one is hwy 97 at leathhead road, it's really disgusting in the bathrooms and sometimes the store is so messy you don't want to go in. The pumps seem to never work with your cards and when you do ask for help there are a few guys that won't help. I have seen it twice now where one employee yelled at another employee for learning. The is one employee that has a really bad smell and I will not go to his till.it seems like the manager doesn't really know he is the manager he seems more as a employee as you can tell he takes sides with some of them.
At all the Petro Canada's in Kelowna BC it seems like a revolving door of employees. Then you have employees that you can see work really hard and others that do nothing but stand there.
If I was the owner I would have a meeting with all managers and make it known what there job is and then have the managers clean up there store and employees.
As well as the outsides of the stores with drug dealings needles on grounds and garbage on the ground.
So the basic things to change would management
Staff
Cleanliness
Politeness to guests as well as each other
Helpfulness
Have two on at graveyard for safety
Washrooms and store cleanliness
attendant service
Hi,
I very often visit Petro Canada Location in Pickering and the address is 1695 Bayly Street, Pickering, Ontario. but my recent visit on 9th June 2017 at 4PM was a nightmare. I pumped gas and selected the print option for the receipt.
The receipt got stuck outside & i was left standing outside waiting for someone to attend. I ended up going inside where the attendant printed the receipt and gave it to me. At the other stations usually if this happens, the attendant pages from inside or comes outside to fix it. The gas attendant's name, as i recall, was Bev. The washroom especially was a mess. There was a heap of used tissues in the bin, which was disgusting. The pictures are being attached for your reference. No tissue rolls were available.
It's experiences like these that never want a customer to visit again.
Cleanliness getting up to standard :)
car wash
Have been a client of the 90 day car wash card for 3 years, this ONE time, the rotating brush over the top and down the rear windows, bent my wiper blade and arm (rear window one) went into store and showed the blue fingers of the brush still stuck in blade and the damage to person at counter and was given a pile of paperwork for ME to do.
I Need a blade, so I am left to buy it and wait till eternity perhaps if you will do anything. All she had to do was give me a blade, or at least, help me file a report and hope I get an answer before life is over.
I repaired my bent arm and bought a blade elsewhere. I strongly doubt you will reimburse me. My prejudice is apparent, but experience with big companies who fluff off the help, this is what they do best. Make it too bothersome to file.
So, If Petro Canada is too poor to replace my blade, I have paid for it.
After this 90 day one expires, will be looking for someone else to buy fuel and car washes from.
ANGRY (obviously?)

car wash
On February 20, 2017 I went to the Petro Canada on Torbram and Williams Parkway in Brampton, Ontario for a car wash. It was approximately 7:40 p.m. I entered the gas station booth to purchase my car wash ticket. I then proceeded to drive to the entrance of the car wash where I scanned my ticket and put my car into neutral. My hands at this point were not on the steering wheel. My car began moving into the car wash and the car wash started to run. I then felt a thump. I could see that my front driver side tire had jumped out of the rail. I immediately started to honk my horn. I honked numerous times. No attendant came to check. I had to get out of my car and proceed to the gas station booth to let the attendant know what had just occurred. As I got out of my car, I saw that the front driver side tire has jumped out of the rail and the rear driver side tire was still in the rail. The attendant said "I will come and check." When he entered the car wash, a female attendant appeared out of nowhere and started to verbally abuse and demean me by yelling "What did you do ?" I asked her to "stop yelling at me." She said "this never happens." The male attendant tried to get the tire back into the rail but to no avail. I said "I will call CAA and get a tow truck. The female then said to me "you need to call a tow truck." I told her that I was calling CAA. Both attendants left at this point. There were three cars waiting to get into the car wash. Nothing was said to the other customers. They just sat and waited. They finally got fed up and left. The attendants did not change the car wash sign to closed or put out pylons to block the entrance. The sign on the ticket scanner was however changed but customers would not be able to see the closed message on the ticket scanner. The tow truck driver arrived and said "this happens all the time, but I have never seen the front tire jump out of the rail while the rear tire is still inside the rail. My concern is there is no attendant in the car wash to turn the car wash off if there is an issue and also if there is a mechanical issue that caused this to happen that has not been reported.
Could you please respond to this complaint as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Susan
faulty gas
I had contacted you or tried to on Jan. 16th. Only received a call Feb. 7th. My husband gased up in Swift Current on Dec. 6th. He uses diesel. The receipt says diesel but- his truck died outside of Swift Current. He was towed to the Chrysler dealership and after all the delays, the dealership said there was gas in the diesel as per the fuel filter etc. The person I talked to at costumer service said there is nothing Petro can do as supposedly they said their dip tests were accurate. So how did gas get in the diesel. The costumer service rep refused to see the work order that was done on my husband's truck the proves all of the above. Why did you refuse to see the evidence? I need a response as soon as possible as for what and when you will fix this problem and compensate for the cost. Contact me - Laurel Hall

noise & dangerous employee
I live on River Rd in Ottawa Ontario Canada
A few yrs ago a motorcycle club moved into the house across the street
Every Fri and Sat night there is a fuelling truck that parks on the road in front of their clubhouse with its four ways on and the truck is left running sometimes from midnight to 3 or 4 am and some nights even longer
I've seen the driver go into the clubhouse and come out in the wee hrs of the morning and get in the fuel truck and then leave
I've witnessed the truck almost being runned into by passing motorists
We live in a quiet country area and the driver doesn't seem to have any regards to the safety of the passing motorist or the people that live in this area while he's inside the clubhouse drinking
I've done a little investigation to get more information for my complaint but was only able to get the first name of the driver
His name is Dave
I'm hoping something will be done about this
It's very frightening to see this biker drink all night while his tuck is running parked on the road and then to watch him get in this loaded fuel truck
Unfortunately if something cannot be done
I will have to notify the media
Thank you
service
Your gas attendant/customer service rep, Geraldine at your Weston Road & Langstaff location is speaking Filipino behind the counter to customers while on the job and lying to staff/customers about the products and equipment. I speak English and personally don't speak nor understand Filipino. I don't like being lied to about the air hose functioning properly when I come there to pump up my tires. We conduct business in this country in English. Please correct this problem at your next Board of Directors meeting. Thank you.

payment by prepaid visa
I went into the Petro in Hamilton (Main st. east of Catharine st). I wanted to purchase a $100.00 gas card as a gift. I have a pre paid visa card & wanted to use that to purchase the gas card. I was there at 2:00 p.m.
I was told by the cashier that he couldn't accept that form of payment. He said that he would call his manager to check. The manager told him absolutley we do not accept pre paid visa cards.
So, I travelled to another Petro, asked for the same thing and was told, of course you can buy the gas card with a pre paid visa.
I would like to know if all Petro stations accept the pre paid visa or is it up to the manager of the station?
I wasn't very happy about the first station as it cost me more time and money to find another Petro
not opening on time
I live in the town of Beeton in Ontario and my only option for gas here is Petrol Canada. On multiple occasions I have sat waiting for the gas station to open at 5am. I have waited up to 10min for someone to show up causing me to be late for work since I have to go down to the city and getting dangerously close to being stranded on the hwy 400 trying to get to the next open gas station which is an Esso at King Rd. I have heard of other complaints from people in this small town re the customer service since new owners took over. I trust that you will take action on this matter. Thank you

car wash
• On November 18, 2016, I entered the automatic car wash of Petro Canada and placed my car in neutral - as I understand is always the procedure; (in the hundreds of car washes I’ve had over the past 26 years of having my driver’s license, I’ve never experienced a problem before).
• The conveyor belt was not pulling my car forward and yet, I saw the wash had begun. I figured I needed to drive a little further into the wash, which I did and placed my car back in neutral. The rotating cloths remained in place at the side of my car for an unusual amount of time and the water jets didn`t come on.
• At the end of the wash, the conveyor belt pulled my car slightly outside of the wash so the front of my car was sticking out. I looked up to the dryer which was not turning on and during that short time, the car wash overhead door came down on to the hood of my car.
• I had to reverse since the overhead door did not lift up. It continued to shut thereby scraping down the front of my car, causing damage (scratches on the hood, and missing paint on the front bumper).
• After a few minutes of being stuck inside the car wash with the overhead door shut, the gas station attendant (Manager, Rose) opened the car wash door and I drove out and parked at the station. My car still had soap on it.
• I went in to report the incident which was documented by Rose. She aggressively said that when driver`s put their car in drive, it affects the functionality of the wash, which means, this has happened before more than once to other drivers.
• I was later instructed to send my car insurance information to an office in Montreal. I spoke with Rafael [protected]) who said that Petro Canada is not liable and won`t contribute to covering the costs to repair the damage to my vehicle caused by the car wash. He told me I would need to make a claim with my own insurance.
• Driver error is not the issue. Faulty equipment with no auto sensor on the exit door are the issues, along with the defensive and unethical attitude of the manager (Rose) and the claims reviewer (Rafael).
a employee who is ignorant, rude, miserable and many more issues

petro 524 rexdale - car wash scam - free ticket
I brought a car wash from this location and it's a piece of crap! I have requested a superworks car wash and I paid 15$ but my car wasn't washed properly. I looked at the ticket and it was " swp guest service" and not superworks that I paid for. After calling the customer service I realized that ticket is a free wash promotion ticket ! I didn't get what I paid for and I paid 15$ for a car wash ticket That's actually 0$! I won't go to any Petro Canada car wash anymore after this cheap incident.

over priced oil
In august of 2015 I signed a contract with petro oil for one year. I was told at the time that my ceiling price would be 3.14/gal but that I would get "the going rate" should the price go down. I repeated to them that if the going price came down to $1.00/gal that would be what I would pay and they agreed. since I have started deliveries my per gallon rate has been no lower than $2.79/gal despite the fact that the "going rate" has been between $1.59.9 to $189.9, as per other companies in this area. I called to complain and was given the run around but the bottom line I was told was that the "going rate" is "their going rate" not the actual market price. I'm sure many of their customer like myself will not renew next year and I for one tell everyone I can about the scam they are pulling. Hopefully this will help get the word out on what a deceptive greedy company they really are! I would like to be reinbursed for the difference between going rates and what they are charging. I calculate to this point it comes to $567.92. I still have until June for further deliveries, so that amount will increase. I also am unable to cancel without a substantial fee of $500.00. product and service
Was brand loyal up until I purchased cell phone minutes with my gas. I looked at the bill and asked what was the extra $1 for and the person behind the counter said that it was a "pin transfer fee for the cell phone minutes!" I told him I never heard such BS and no other gas station or store for that matter has such an underhanded practice. He said he is aware of this and a lot of people have been complaining. I ask for my money to be refunded and he said he can't do that. Well, Petro Canada you just lost my fleet business and I will not shed a tear when you file for bankruptcy protection because that is what will happen when you scam customers and provide rude service.

This company is just the worst I have been trying to use the pay as you go feature because topping up was not working. It couldn’t handle a simple Iphone Maps so i can drive to my hotel. It said 3G network and no internet available and I have an Iphone Xs Max. I called support and you get charge for calling their support un believable and the tech support is claiming my phone is at fault and I have to go to the nearest petro store to get a top up card or upgrade to a higher plan to access at least 4G connection. So instead of paying as you go they want me to choose a plan that should have been disclosed
in the website with each plans.
I asked if anyone else is available to help she replied no one else is available for the entire company and she is the only one. Seriously this is the level of customer service 1 person to handle all the calls. Plus the website is user interface nightmare. Of course she won’t disclose her name and claims she will escalate the ticket and asked for another number. A total waist of air I am using your sim card with the number and your asking if i have another number to be called.
Exact same thing just happened to me. What a disgusting way to run a business. This oil giant scraping even money off their clients and refusing to refund them is a blatant scam. Their smug customer service agents just add salt to the wound. Disgusting business.
I've had a terrible encounter with Petrocan Mobility which went on for over a week with hours of my time devoted to solving it. I won't relay the details of the unbelievably bad service. I honestly don't think they care a whit what people think - I can find no information on how to contact them, and the phone number is useless for providing feed back, lodging a complaint. I plan to find another cell phone provider, and also plan to stop buying their gas as soon as I use the points I have on my Petropoints card. It's interesting how it's nearly impossible to find a customer review website - all the 'review' sites seem to be taken by Petrocan.
