PetroCanada Bonus Points.
This is the third time I am contacting Petro Canada on this matter.
I received a promotional offer on January 13_2023 of getting 2023 points if I purchased a minimum of 25L of gas by February 13, 2023. A purchase of 27L of gas was made of February 1, 2023 but noted that no bonus points were awarded so I contacted Petro Canada via web chat on Feb 17, 2023 and was advised that bonus points will be awarded by Feb 27, 2023.
I checked my points balance again on March 1, 2023 and again found no change in my points balance, so on I sent a second detailed communication to Petro Canada’s Customer Service on March 8, 2023 and received an automated response that someone would contact me “as soon as possible”. It is now March17, 2023 and no response has been received.
This is the first time I have actually checked to see if these bonus points are being awarded, and now find that they are not.
Desired outcome: For Petro Canada to award the 2023 bonus points as offered in the January 2023 promotional offer.
Gas pumps don't print receipts

On each visit, the pump would not print a receipt. There was a sign today saying it was broken. When I went in, I had to wait to get a receipt. The fellow ahead of me said in a loud voice he never buys gas at this station because the printers never work. I will not go there again. Based on the heritage of the operators the printers probably work but they don’t put paper in them and hope most people won’t come in to wait for a receipt. They are cheap and it shows. I hate gas stations that are operated in slovenly fashion, and this one fits.
Where do I buy gas in Lincoln, NE? Always at Costco. It is clean and tidy. There is an attendant for help. The printers always work and in the rare instance I didn’t get a receipt they come and fix it on the spot. AND it is always cheaper. I hope you can influence them to improve.

Petro points cards no longer issued!!!
I lost my Petro Points card at the Thorncliffe East York gas station today February 16/2023. Card # [protected]
l called the 1 800 number to report a lost card and have a new card issued. l was told they no longer issue replacement cards, l have to download an App on my Android phone, that slows down my phone! What if l lose my cell phone? What hoops do l have to jump threw to get gas? l then asked how do l use the App when l want to get gas, the explanation I was given was not clear and sounded very complicated, l am fairly Tech savvy but l did not understand it. l asked what people do if they don't have a phone.? That explanation was even vaguer. l didn't to waste my time and the reps time to explain it again.
(l checked online again and they said they do issue replacement cards and call the same 800 # l called!)
That made me even more frustrated! When l fill up for gas l gave to insert my Petro Points card, then insert a gas savings card (if l have ONE) then insert my debt card for payment. l don't use a RBC VISA Card to get the 3c discount, it is a waste of time in Accounting and NOT WORTH it. Why all the steps? Other gas Companies you insert one card and get our gas.
That's definitely more efficient and time saving.

My husband purchased the Player’s Choice Mega Pack, on December 14, 2022 at 15:40 PM, at 7-ELEVEN, 10303 99th Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 2X8, Tel. #: [protected]. On December 20, 2022, he gifted me the pouch.
On December 24, 2022, at approximately 3:00 pm, my husband and I stopped at 7-ELEVEN, 10303 99th Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, to cash in the winning Western Million ticket. Dakota was at the cash register; she saw that the ticket had 3 FREE POUCH identical symbols so she returned the ticket to me. She informed me that it was a winning ticket (I knew because the ticket had 3 identical FREE POUCH symbols; furthermore, I had scanned the ticket at the Lotto Spot scanner before I went to the till). She returned the ticket to me; she said that they did not have any Player’s Choice Mega Pack in stock at that time - she did not know if they would get more soon. She said that most of the WCLC retailers in Fort Saskatchewan ran out of these pouches before Christmas.
On December 26, 2022, my husband and I stopped at Petro-Canada service station, Highway 18 50 Street, Clyde, Alberta, en route to visit family in Callington. My husband did not make any purchase as he did not find what he was looking for.
I went in the convenience store, between 10:20 and 10:30 am, to cash in a winning Western Million ticket that came from a $20.00 WLC Player’s Choice Mega Pack. The winning ticket displayed 3 identical Free Pouch symbols which entitled me to another $20.00 WLC Player’s Choice Mega Pack. The lady behind the counter validated the ticket; the machine made a winning sound and clearly showed the word “winner” on the screen. She informed me that the ticket was not a winner. I was stunned because I knew it was a winning ticket. I argued with her that the machine made the sound of a winning ticket and that I had clearly seen the word “winner” on the screen; furthermore, the ticket showed 3 identical FREE POUCH symbols which made it a definite winner. She insisted that it was not a winning ticket. I did not know that once the retailer scanned the ticket and showed the result of a winner on the screen facing the customer, it has been validated/“cashed in” through the WCLC system. Having now understood the process, I realize that the only recourse that would have been available to me on December 26, 2022, would have been to call the RCMP and ask them to send a patrol officer to help me deal with the owner who was behind the cash register. Very clever tactic on the part of the owner. Three or four customers came in as I was arguing with the owner. I don’t know if anyone of them heard the winning sound or saw the display of the word winner on the screen. I asked the owner to give me my ticket back and I left.
On January 4, 2023, at 14:01:16, I gassed up my vehicle at Co-op Gas-Bar, 9284 Southfort Drive, Fort Saskatchewan, T8L 0C5, TEL. #; [protected]. I paid at the pump and went in the store at 14:05, to cash in my winning ticket. I went to the Lotto Spot scanner The screen showed “ticket appears to have been previously validated”. I was unsure as to what it meant but I became suspicious that the owner at the Petro-Canada convenience store in Clyde had cashed in my winning. I went to the cash register counter and asked the store clerk (dark hair/beard; wearing dark framed eyeglasses) to explain to me what I had just seen on the Lotto Spot scanner. He scanned my ticket at 14:06:53 and told me it had been validated as per the printed Lotto Spot slip. I explained to him that I did not understand what it meant; “was I to assume that it had been cashed in?” He said “yes”. I told him what happened at the Petro-Canada convenience store in Clyde. I asked for the Lotto Spot slip that he had printed.
On January 5, 2023, I phoned WCLC (Stettler) at [protected]; I spoke to customer service. I explained what had happened at the Clyde Petro-Canada convenience store. I also confirmed that I was there on December 26, 2022, between 10:20 and 10:30 am. She asked for the address of the convenience store which is Highway 18 50 Street Clyde AB T0G 0P0; the ticket number which is [protected]-852610; control number which is 96 6 6. She confirmed that the ticket was validated at the Clyde Petro-Canada convenience store, on December 26, 2022, at 10:26 am.

I am having 90 days petro pass, the machine stopped in between then I called for help.
Firstly The guy was very rude on the phone, then made me wait so long inside the car wash.
Then he came and told me to go back to the long queue to complete my car wash, he said our machine is not working properly then I said please run the machine I am already in the car wash, he said “ I told you you need to go back in the long line and start again, them I asked is there any other way because I waited already so long to get to my turn and then it stopped in between, I have to go somewhere urgent but I can wait few minutes, but going back to long line will take around 30-40 mins which I already spent.
He said do you want to wash or not in very very very inappropriate manner, then I said excuse me you can’t talk to me like that, he said [censored] off I will talk like that do what you can, I had to go from there because he was very angry and threatening me.
I am very big customer and I have corporate account with petro canada too, I have spent $236 on car wash pass to clean my car not get abused by you. I want this guy to be punished and want apology for saying a good customer [censored]k off on face for your machine fault.
Desired outcome: Action on particular staff member and apology to me.
Petro canada app for android phones
I was at a Petro Canada car wash and tried to use the Petro Canada app to get a wash from my car wash Season Pass [edited] but the app would not start. The initial screen came up and the spinning wheel but the app did not start. I backed out of the car wash and tried to start the app again unsuccessfully. I rebooted my phone and tried again with no success. I wasted 45 minutes of my time rebooting and restarting the application with no success. I am very unhappy and frustrated. I have been purchasing Season Passes for 12 years and now I am so upset that I am seriously considering switching to another car wash

I just returned from getting a wash usuing a new Wash and Go Card, it was to get me 5 plus one washes. The clerk said I didn't register soon enough and I only get 5 WTH? I buy them as gifts and for my self, not anymore until you make changes, if you offer 6 for the price of 5 washes, then don't make your customers jump through hoops to get that 6th wash.

I stopped into to Petrol Canada to get $20 in gas. They put $150 hold for $20 on my account and it has now been 4 days. This is exorbitant amount to hold to guarantee $20. I will be writing Canada and USA representatives asking if legislation can be brought to curb this predatory seizure of large amount of funds. if you get gas twice, they hold $300 for about a week. There goes the family budget. It is shameful that I will have to bring large amounts of cash to keep this from happening in the future and I will be able to budget our trips again.
Desired outcome: Hold a reasonable amount. $150 for gas is not reasonable. Let the customer know you will be holding the funds for a week or release the funds in 24 hours which would be reasonable.

The car wash at 2535 ouellette ave., windsor, ontario
This car wash has not been giving a satisfactory wash on multiple visits in October and November of 2022. I have noticed many nozzles are clogged - not spraying my vehicle with the pre-soak solution. Also the foaming nozzles do not have uniform coverage / pattern on my vehicle. On a few visits, the oscillating side wash jets were not moving.
I have spoken to the manager, informed her of the problem. Sounds like the car wash technician has looked at it, but is not fixing the problems. She offered me a free car wash, but the problem is the car wash is not being repaired.
It's basic maintenance, disassemble the nozzles, flush out the debris, re-assemble and test for proper spray patterns.
Desired outcome: Shut down the car wash to make all the necessary repairs. This car wash used to deliver a beautiful car wash, not any more.

Petro Canada - My car was damaged in your car wash
I did go to a car wash on Wednesday October 19 at Petro Canada in Oshawa Ontario Canada (Taunton and Harmony). The the right side brush pulled of the arial unit that was attached to my car. The arial was wrapped around the brush and kept banging the entire right side of my car. A number of damage hols on my two doors and the two bumpers. This is a significant damage and will cost a lot to repair. The staff at the station told me they are not responsible and I should go to my insurance for repair. This is not right .. I used this car wash for a number of years with no issue but sometimes was not lined up that day and the damaged was big. Petro Canada need to have an answer to my issue and compensation is needed.

On August 26, 2022, My husband, myself and my 2 grandchildren went to the Petro-Canada at 301 Thickson RD in Whitby.
My husband gassed up our Van at that location, because our intention was to wash our Van at that location. Also my grandchildren love going through the Carwash. I went in to pay because I wanted to buy some lottery tickets.
While trying to pay, I let them know that I also I wanted a car wash. In that moment the employee proceeded to try to upsell me a package of 10 car washes, in which I made it clear I only wanted the one. She continued to insist that I purchase 10. I firmly but politely decline. Even as I was putting my credit card in the machine she continued to pressure me into buying the package.
Following the transaction she informed me that their carwash wasn't in operation that day because of some problem and that I would have to redeem my carwash coupon at a different location. Why would she not inform me of this sooner and what was more insulting is the fact that she contunued to upsell packages knowing the carwash wasn't working.
I was very upset, I tried to get a refund for the carwash, she then informed that all sales were final. I was so insistent that the manager finally came in and said that the entire transaction would have to be refunded including lottery tickets and all. I just didn't trust them and left that location, what a scam.
I had both of my grandchildren in the Van and didn't want to drive around looking for another Petro-Canada not to mention the price of gas.

I visited the Petro Canada in RDP on Maurice Duplessis.
Employees were rude and did not care about service especially this one employee. There were two. One was really rude and told me to go [censored] myself. Short blonde/brunnette white. I think her name was Alice since her badge wasn't visible.
The gas pump wasn't working I rang the buzzer . they told me to move to another pump.
I went to the other pump they are like I need to bring my car. Showed them and told them since they were looking at me that I was just filling my red to go tank.
I rang again from the other pump they didn't answer the call.
I went in and I asked them the problem. they are like I need to move my car. I said I have a refillable small red tank. Sh answered how am I [censored]ing suppose to know. not an acceptable
I then told them this is the biggest joke
she told me to go [censored] myself.
After I filled my tank the white girl actually got on the microphone and antagonized me.

Car wash card
I bought a bunch of petro Canada car wash years ago. they didn't have any expiry date indicated on it. After a couple of years, I tried using it, but now petro Canada wouldn't even accept it. during the first call, they said they would give me points instead since they don't use the cards now, its been 2 months and after 5 calls they still haven't resolved this issue. On my 5th call today August 22, 2022 they said that they couldn't find any information regarding the cards, but on the first call they found the information regarding the cards.
to Petro canada, do not just take people's money. if you sell them a card without expiry date no matter if its 10 years from now it should be still valid. If I had a $100 bill 10 years ago I can still use it now.

Washroom
I pumped gas at 1571 Lawrence Ave. West on Sunday the 21st of August at about 23:11hrs and ask the attendant to allow me to use the washroom after I completed pumping gas and pre-paying. The attendant refused to allow me to use the washroom and even after explaining to him that I am a senior and been on the highway for over 45mins. He told me he was authorized to not let customers use the washroom at the night. My response was the station is still open at night and besides, there is no signage informing customers to this effect. He then shut the access window on me. I had to go next door to the gas station and pleaded with a convenience store clerk to let me use their washroom even though I did not buy anything there.
If these are laws or rules put in place by Petro Canada, at least customers should be informed by using signage at the station and not by word of mouth or discretion.
Desired outcome: As long as gas stations are open, customers should be allowed to use washrooms regardless of the time of day. Washrooms are a place of convenience.

this morning trying to get gas i didint see the sign the attendant was just watching me didnt say a thing to me told him i didint see the sign ive got credit at the time was not working the attendant was so rude he locked the door and told me to go somewhere else. I asked for his name and refused to give it me. Poor customer service he should not be working with the Public. Why dont they have name tags ? I will not be using Petro Canada anymore
