Self-serve pump and Attendant
At the Georgetown south mountainview location. Went to the self service pump chose to pay for 25 gas when asked if I wanted a car wash I stated no, thankyou. The pump is faulty tried to charge me 181.00 at first I pressed cancel redid the 25.00 option and the pump would only allow me to pump 6.93 the I went into the ask for help and was told it was my fault the self serve pump stoel my money and gave me a car wash when I specifically indicated no thank you. I asked for the actual amount of gas requested and for them to take back the car wash that I didn't order and the Attendant stated no it was my fault. When requesting to speak to a manager they refused to help or refund me any of my money.
Desired outcome: Would like a refund of the 18.07 for the unwanted carwash, training for unprofessional and rude Attendants
exchanging propane tanks for barbecue at JANE AND WILSON LOCATION
went to service station to leave empty tank went to the cashier and was given a key to open lock where tanks were located. I was told to choose any one I wanted. One week later we installed the full tank to the barbecue but no gas was coming out. We brought the tank back to petro where we purchased it and explained the tank was not working. The manager was very rude to me told me that I should have checked it right away there is nothing he can do. We went to another propane outlet on keele st check the tank and told us it was not a full tank but it still should be working. Now we are really upset not only did we get a tank half full but a tank that does not work. We went back to the jane and wilson petro and told the manager again he would not help us. We are not looking for a free tank of propane but we want what we payed for. The reason we did not check the tank because we did not do barbece until today. My husband is 78 and I and 71 we did not need this aggravation. We have been using petro for 20 I never had this happen to us.I think the company has lost all it respect with me. We are very upset they way they handled the problem.
Desired outcome: I hope that someone will check this out because if mine was 1/2 empty there will be more going on there.
Car Wash
The car wash in Dixie & Steeles Gas station Brampton, Ontario does not use proper concentration of wax and soap. On top to hide it they are using red, blue led light focusing on where the soaps comes out and on the car. This is absolute cheating to customers going there to wash the car.
Mask exemption/rude attendant
On March 29, 2021 evening I was at the Petro Canada which I frequent for my gas. The man who was working (sorry I cannot remember his name) he is Indian man shorter with glasses petro ball cap). I am mask exempt because I have breathing and lung issues due to blood clots and I have gone in there a few times without a mask. No one has said anything to me...

Gas pump declining my card because I dont know what fuwee manewee means. Lazy [censored] employee refuses to help me at the side service window and I cant go inside because I didn't have a mask and I have 300, 000 petro points and because of the direct problems occurring because of not getting the gas then first thing in the morning like I always do, I was three hours late for work... Fewee manewee..
Desired outcome: WANT TO BE PAID OUT ON MY 300,000 POINTS AND SWITCH TO CHEVRON
Washroom availability
Regarding the service station at Queens plate and RexDale Boulevard The washroom there has been out of service for months
Personally I don't think the washroom is out of service they just don't want to keep it clean and probably Covid has something to do with it
There are many other Petro Canada stations where the washroom is open and very clean and tidy
At this time when washrooms are closed at most fast food restaurants it is particularly important that service station washrooms are available
If someone would please follow up on this issue with the operator of the station and I will be watching for a resolution
Desired outcome: Washroom opened for patrons
gas pump at two Brandon, MB Service Stations
Twice now, I have paid at the pump and the display which was prompting me to insert my card, put in my PIN, choose the type of gas, etc, was all in French. Fine, if there is an English version appearing first, as well.
This is Western Canada and I do not appreciate having French being forced into Western Canada. Fine, we have to put French on many things to accommodate, but this is Western Canada, not Quebec.
If this continues, I will buy my gas elsewhere, where they give you English.
Desired outcome: An either English only instruction or it is in both languages. I wish there was a German version also, but this will never happen.
Yah trying to use my card and the pump kept cancelling my transaction calling me a fu-ie manu-ie. then the putrid lazy jerk inside would not help me at the side service window. he said I had to go inside to use the debit reader. but I could not go inside because I didn't have a covid mask, so I had to leave without gas thinking I could make it to the chevron on my way but typical vancouver traffic stuck in a traffic jamb on the highway for an hour and a half and running out of gas I had to leave the highway and enter a new living hell wich made a 45 minute drive take three hours all because I didn't know what fu-ie manu-ie meant... my petrocard is now at 290, 000 points and I want to cash it out and switch to chevron so fu-
Poor diesel quality. Truck's in shop after filling at petro can.
My Name is Dale Muscutt in Aldergrove BC [protected] On Feb 27th. I put $50. worth of diesel into my 2000 Ford F350. This was at the corner of Clearbrook and Joyce in Abbottsford BC. Got less than 500 metres down the road. Truck died immediately. Towed to garage. After two days mechanic asked me where I last fueled up. I told him. Went back to same pump and got a sample. I also went across the street to the Chevron and got a sample to compare. Night and day difference. Mechanic told me that the Petro Can fuel was the problem. I have investigated on line other vehicle owners have had problems as well. I have pics of the two samples I took on those days. This is going to cost me several thousand dollars. Really ticked off that this could happen with Petro Can. The photo below show Petro Can sample on left and Chevron sample on right. I have the receipts of intial fill and samples as well. Thaks
Desired outcome: Response and some compensation please
is it not obvious some clown managed to put regular gas into their underground deisel tank, at least thats what it looks like
Customer complaint
Hello., March 8th 2021, I pulled up to one the spots to fill up my car. The gas dispencer read $43. and change. I lifted the nozel and selected which gas I wanted. Squeezed the handle... Nothing.. still showing $43. I replaced the nozel three times. It went inside the store to tell the clerk who was on his cell phone checking whatever, told him that I...

Read full review of Petro CanadaPetro points card
I have been a very loyal customer of Petro Canada for over 20 years and purchased our family gas exclusively through your company.
I have had a Petro-Canada Points for most of that time and I have been very pleased with the membership. This is the first time I've been so upset with your system that I am ready to walk away. Before I get to the actual reason for my issue with the Petro Points problem, I want to make you aware of the pathetic service that I have received just trying to voice my issue.
My problem arose on Feb. 25, 2021 and I have tried to resolve it ever since. I called the next day to speak to customer service and was on hold for over 2 hours then got disconnected. I know that there is a huge Covid problem and many companies are going thru the same problems, so I tried again today and waited for 45 min. A woman answered and when I told her my reason for calling, she hung up on me. I am so upset I'm thinking about posting my experience on my social media page.
I called again and waited almost an hour, then left my contact number. When I finally got the call back I spoke to a man but after a few minutes of confusion he also hung up on me. I left another message and the person who called back was helpful but he could only help with one part of the problem then had to transfer me to the department that looks after the Fuel Savings Rewards card during the transfer someone answered then hung up. I don't know if you are using off shore Indian call centers, but they don't seem to have any accountability when they just don't want to deal with something and just hang up.
I spent two days dealing with this issue which is still not totally resolved to save $5.00 between the 5 cents per litter on the fuel savings card and the 3 cents on the RBC card. I am a professional and make $90.00 per hour, and I am still shaking my head that I even bother with such disrespect of being hung up on by several employees. It's really nice when everything works as it should and you just plug in your cards and walk away with a $5.00 saving for a cup of coffee, but chasing after these points for 2 days is a serious pain. As a professional, I always believe that the Executives running the company should be made aware of the problems that customers are facing before just walking away.
Now for my actual complaint. Last week I filled up my tank using my RBC Rewards Card and my petro points card that is also linked to my CAA account & my purchased Fuel Savings card.
I filled up my car and noticed when I got home that I didn't receive my points.
I called the store and they said that I had to come into the store, which was a pain with this Virus. But when I got there, they then said that I had to call Petro Canada Points. After doing my own research, I realized what the problem was, but needed to speak to someone at your end to fix it. I think that someone is going to have to call me back.
The week before my fill up, I found an old card that was lost that had many points on it. I contact Petro Points and the lady said that she could help me with that. I explained that I would just like to add those points to my current card which had everything linked to it, i.e.
• My Card was linked to my RBC Rewards $.03 per liter & 20% more points
• Also linked to my CRA Account
• Also linked to my Fuel Savings Reward Card, $.05 per liter
• I active the points for 25 L before Mar. 16 offer for extra 1000 points
• I also update my account to earn 5000 points more points
After hours of my investigating the issue on my own I realized that she did transfer the points but she cancelled my main petro points card and put all the points onto the old lost card that wasn't linked to any of the above.
I can't believe that she made that kind of blunder at a huge inconvenience to myself, but I was actually able to finally have that changed back to my original main card. However I haven't been able to retrieve all the points and money savings that I've lost not to mention having to take the time to link all of my cards back again to my main card.
Desired outcome: I would love to speak to a competent person to resolve all of the points and as compensation for my inconvenience bonus points to keep a satisfied customer.

Charged twice for purchase
I am putting in a complaint about the Petro Canada in Tecumseh, Ontario on Tecumseh Rd and Manning.
I received a notification from my bank last night that I may have been charged twice for a purchase made.
I went into the gas station today and showed them my bank notification. The service attendant that was working at 1:45 pm on Dec 29/20 threw up his hands and said. I can't do anything about that.
You have to call your bank.
I told him no it's not the banks error. I was charged twice. He rudely said "listen there is nothing I can do for you!" I told him I was making a complaint to Petro Canada. He said "go ahead."
When I told him this is wrong and you shouldn't tell a customer to listen he said, what do you want me to do? I said I want you to check your till for overage and return my money!
He said "no no, I can't return any money."
I asked if he could give me what was purchased and we could be even. Nope wouldn't hear of it!
I warned everyone in line, which was long, to check their bank account after they paid.
I refuse to do business with this gas station in the future and although the money wasn't substantial it was the principal of the matter.
I hope I can get my money back and if left unresolved I will turn to social media to work people who use this Petro.

Desired outcome: Money back or similar
Overcharging
I have been overcharged numerous times when I have gone into the Gibsons store. When I return with my receipt I am told I have wait to talk to management. This has caused me to return numerous times and is costly for my gas and my time. I also was double charged one time and was alerted from my bank. Once again I had to get a bank slip and then back to...

On 19th Dec 2020 at around 9.20 AM, I went Petro Canada gas station address 13605 Steeles Ave W, Hornby, ON L0P 1E0. I wanted the Gas for $ 21, I paid 21 $ in cash, while I went to my car to put the gas, the attendant at the cash counter called me back and was threatened me to pay 8 dollars more ( hope he might have misunderstood with some other customer). I have paid extra 8 $ more. I just wanted to tell you that the Cash counter Attendant working at time was rude and threatening, Please check your Camera and the Cash collected at that time to find out truth. I decided not to use Petro Canada Gas Station in until you find out the truth and warn the rude cash counter attendant about such incidents in near future.
