a member not cleaning equipment after each use ever ever
A member named Peter wears workout gloves does not clean any machine that he uses. In addition, he goes to the bathroom and uses the urinal with his gloves on and then goes directly back to working out. He doesn't was his hands. Disgusting!
I have mentioned this mans behavior to the mgr. (Dee) Deidre numerous times and she does nothing about this man. There signs around the gym stating to clean equipment after each use. Maybe Peter is exempt from proper personal
hygiene. Another member said Peter told him that he didn't care about cleaning for the next person.
Desired outcome: I want action taken toward this man and any other member that doesn't clean the equipment. The signs are in the gym for a reason.
Incorrect debit order date ruined my credit profile.
I joined planet fitness gym in June 2022. When joining there was no option for the 28th debit order. So, I opted for the 1st of every month instead. Somehow the information was not captured correctly, as the debit order went off on the 25th. I reached out to the branch manager to rectify; he advised me to reach out to the customer service. I sent an e-mail and called the customer service team. I have proof of the communication with both the branch and customer service. I was concerned because I needed to pay a penalty fee for this error, and my credit profile was going to be affected.
End of August, the debit order date was not amended, despite all my efforts, again I needed to pay a penalty fee. End of September was the same story, I tried to reach out to the branch again, with Zero assistance on their side, as shown on the communication.
This was a painful experience for me. Monthly I needed to pay a penalty fee for the bouncing debit orders due to the incorrect date that is not getting amended. My credit record is also affected by this error. No one from planet fitness is keen to assist.
I then sent a request to customer service to rather cancel my membership, as this whole exercise is ruining my credit record, and it's not worth it. I have spoken to a number of Planet Fitness personnel, and all the calls are recorded. None, could assist.
In October 2022, after 3 months of bouncing Debit orders, I reached out to my bank to cancel these debit orders, as Planet Fitness is unable to modify my date, also not responding to my membership cancellation.
My bank has now stopped these debit orders. Without any other assistance from Planet Fitness, I have now received a sms notifying that I have being handed over to their lawyers.
I request assistance for the below:
- Close my account (or cancel my membership) on their side and clear my name
- Clear my bill, I do not owe planet fitness. I stopped going to the Gym in September, when I requested my account to be cancelled, as my issue was not getting resolved.

This all happened in 3 days, with a small hurricane in between. My son and I have been bringing our boxing gloves and mitts to the Planet Fitness at
Darwin Square in Port Saint Lucie for the last almost 2 yrs twice a week. Nobody said a word. We walked by every manager and counter personnel multiple times without any interference. They actually supported it. On November 9th after our workout my son was approached by a female member who became interested in this form of exercise. Out of the kindness in his heart he went and got the equipment to work with her in the private area at the back of the club. I was on a treadmill minding my own business. I was approached by counter personnel who lied to me and told me someone saw my son bring in the equipment. He claims this someone saw this on a camera. He told me who had no equipment and was not spied on by some remote camera that this equipment was not allowed. Blamed it on safety? While other members bring in other sorts of personnel equipment for their workout. I was upset at the sudden change in policy. Made worse by someone who I think is a member? Telling me that management thinks I am skirting PF rules by providing personal training at a cost? He told me to open a boxing gym. This is not close to correct. We help others for the joy of exercise. There are members training members constantly. I don't know and don't care. I don't like being accused of doing something I'm not while other seem to be supported. I was insulted and wanted to speak to a manager. Of course, no one would help me. The next day was hurricane Nicole and the gym was closed. That day I wrote a letter (attached) and handed it to the counter personnel on Friday, Nov,11,2022. I completed my workout and still no explanation from anyone in charge. On my way out the door I saw Abbie, an asst manager I believe. She was walking in. I thought talking to her would be like talking to a manager. I was dead wrong. Not only did she not handle the conversation like a manager. She accused me of being some sort of whistle blower on other people personal training. This only made it worse. This is a manager? I made it perfectly clear with conviction that I was not the bad guy here. I am the victim. She obviously lied and made it seem like I threatened or intimidated her. I had my son and another member across the driveway. Curb to curb. I'm sure they will vouch that I didn't even raise my voice above my normal loud Italian upbringing. Later that day I received a phone call from the manager finally. His name is Kevin. He was investigating this instance. Investigating? Are you serious. His outcome later in the day was that PF was cutting ties with me as customer because as he said, (I raised my voice to Abbie). His reason for terminating my membership after over 2yrs of trouble-free daily usage of that gym. I want an apology from both Kevin and Abbie. I don't really care about any membership to PF in the future. I have the worst taste in my mouth put there by 2 of your managers mentioned above. Something really stinks there. For sure it's the lack of professionalism exhibited by Kevin an Abbie who behave like children. Abbie has offended me as a gentleman. Disrespected my mother, grandmothers and wife and daughter with her lying accusation. You can't find another woman on earth with a bad word about me. I'm insulted by your management team at this PF and reflects on the entire corporation. I'm defending myself against 2 false accusations. All I wanted was a gym to go to and stay healthy and have a good time. I expect to hear back. All PF management can't be acting like children. I was a manager. When your manager of a large corporation. You're a manager of that corporation 24/7 365. No matter which customer approaches you. Or where you're approached. I know! This stink! Cleanliness and lighting
I patron the PF located in Norfolk Va, on North Military Hwy. The staff is young and has no business professionalism. When a complaint is made they always respond it nothing they can do or the manager is not here. The paper dispersers always empty and when you report it all you get is ok and they never take care of the problem. Equipment always laying around and no one ever walks around spraying the equipment or replacing the cleaning supplies. The lighting is absolutely terrible; it always dim. I requested a blown light bulb be replaced over a month and all I get is we don’t know who takes off the lights. Such a safety hazard and it’s a matter of time before a customer a mishap suit. Let’s not take about the women’s locker room. The staff needs training bad; the owner should be more invested in the health wellness of the gym and just not financially.
Have my membership reinstated without blemish in planet fitness records.
I was working out at Planet Fitness in Mid Town Los Angeles on November 1, 2022 around 11 a.m. PST when there was this dog walking through the gym about ten feet behind some guy with his collar leash dragging behind it. I went to complain about the dog along with another member and the manager told us the dog owner told her that he was a Service Dog and she could not ask him to prove it by law. So I went to take a picture of the dog and the manager followed me and as I raised my phone up she threatened me with cancellation of my membership if I did not delete the picture. I asked why and she told me I was taking a picture of another member and I told her I was taking a picture of the dog in the gym not his owner. She told me I was violating the dog owner's space by taking a picture of the dog, which by the way I never took. I never got closer than eight feet of the dog's owner so how could I be violating his space when people stand within a foot or two of each other all the time in the gym. People take pictures of other members in the gym all the time and they do not get their memberships cancelled. There are signs on the walls telling people not to have personal bags on the gym floor, but, many members have many personal bags on the gym floor with the staff's knowledge, but they do not get their memberships cancelled. I did not read in the membership agreement I signed that I could not raise my phone in an attempt to take a picture of a dog not another member or I would get my membership cancelled. Plus, my cancellation was one sided, the manger decided because I raised my phone my membership should be cancelled and I do not get to say anything in my defense. There is no evidence I even took a picture. She dictatorially and authoritatively decided my four years as a paying member was over because she thought I took a picture of another member without proof.
30 min. Express workout room
I have called, several times to corperate about this on going problem...The sign states this room is reserved for this activity " only!"...The mgt. Has resigned themselves from enforcing this rule...I have learned from a confrontation with several members just using the machines, when requested to kindly let us continue, they got unruly and we immediately ask staff to clarify that this room is only for this activity, the staff informed us that mgt. Told him to overlook this! i have spoken to mgt. Several times on the phone and was threatened to have my membership canceled !
thru the pandemic i have maintained my membership while many-many others canceled due to panic !..And this is my reward!...I have requested to talk to the district manager about this situation and got no response..This incident occurred on 10-27-2022...But has been on going since we joined on 12-2014...A response would be immensely appreciated...Patrick mann

I'll be sure to contact corporate about my experience as well. I don't need the name of the manager of this store, it's easy to get. But I'm sure David Bidwell would appreciate how you guys are conducting his business down there on North River Drive.
In the beginning (mid October 2019) I asked the manager for a courtesy to erase the late charge because the system did not recognize me changing my banking information on the website/app. The manager says "yeah, sure" ... I never was credited. I still kept the membership although I should have cancelled before the 60 days just because of that.
Now, a year later, I've asked to not renew membership and am being ignored. Someone needs to retrain the staff at this store. Also, the unavailable customer service links, young lady hanging up on members requesting to speak with management, and a website that only provides FAQ'S is extremely sketchy and questionable. It seems like blatant predatory practices.

I first joined PF in 2021, Lake Wales location. As an individual who cares about renewable energy, I try to do my part by barrowing a spray bottle and a rag for wiping down machines during my workout, instead using paper towels as I've done at other location. At approx. 6:04pm 11/2/2022 the (GM Axel) instructed the staff was told to take the bottle away. I approached the GM and explained the reason why I opted to using a spray bottle and rag which I have been doing at every visit, he did not want to hear it. I then told him I would terminate my membership and he was just so happy to oblige; for the record I did not but will be using that location again. I strongly believe it was retaliation for previous incident that occurred which led me to speak up when a Veteran in a wheelchair was attempting to use the restroom while he closed it off for cleaning/drying.
Desired outcome: GM needs better management coaching in understanding the fundamentals of customer service on how caring customers/members can contribute to the company overall.
Charges on my account
Please note that I signed a contract many years ago (approximately 7 years ago) for a maximum visit only contract.
Since then I have been randomly charged on and off by Planet Fitness using different amounts and days for deductions. There is always a different reference number as well as the description is changed
On requesting a contract I was forwarded a contract that I did not sign.
I was extremely annoyed with Planet Fitness when I was not permitted to complete my full amount of visits according to my original contract and under no circumstances would have signed any contract with Planet Fitness, I had in fact signed a contract with Virgin Active in 2017.
I believe that there is someone in the accounts department who is actively involved in this fraud.
At the moment they have forced a debit order that I cannot return.
This needs urgent attention from someone.

Hello I went to the gym to sign me and my stepson up for a membership and was told I that I could not because he is my stepson. He has been in my life since he has been 1 and I support him he lives with me so to be told I have no rights to sign him up to the gym because I’m not his mother is so judgmental and wrong. Worst manager on earth!
The Manager has taken it upon herself. To hold fast to the company policy. Only If I was Latino. Then I could do no wrong! But If you are anything but. Or a drug dealer. You are followed! Treated with anything but basic respect! The place has gone to the dogs! If you care at all she should be replaced! Or more people than I will file a discrimination legal action ASAP! It's so sad to find so many people here now that are forced to do her dirty work of sticking it to the people that she does not care for!

Gym cleanliness
I have been a member at the Planet Fitness in Meriden, CT for a few years now and when I started the gym was so clean. There was always someone dusting, vacuuming or cleaning every time I went in, no matter what time of day or night. The gym is so dirty now. The tanning rooms haven't been vacuumed in a very long time and the bathroom plumbing is a mess. The toilet is always leaking and the faucets are loose and in disrepair. There is also garbage in the parking lot. It appears there is little to no care to the outside. With flu season fast approaching and Covid still being a concern I am worried the gym has become a germ factory.
Desired outcome: I enjoy the gym and the people working are very pleasant. I would just like to see more care to the cleanliness.
Membership and treat disrespectfully
On Friday October 21st. my friends and I were working out as we have done for 3 months. We work out as two couples. When we were leaving Jesus at the 67th and 186th location of Miami Lakes stops our friend and accused him of training us. When he discussed with him that he doesn't train us but assist with weights the guy at you location was extremely rude and called our friend a different name which our friend in turn said you have mistaken me with someone else because I don't train, I am a cyclist not a trainer. Jesus kept on accusing him and threatened to cancel all of our memberships. This has been not only a bad situation but a very uncomfortable one as well. I cannot believe they would first treat people in that manner and then also accuse us of something that he is not doing. This has been the worst experience I had to face in a gym that you are supposed to feel good and have no judgement.

Staff and keytack - I get attacked in Seffner / Florida

this is an urgent case!
On 19. October 2022 around 10.00 pm.
I tried to check in 'planet fitness' Seffner near Tampa/Florida.
I had a barcode, that worked all the days before, also on Tuesday. Never had an issue with the barcode key tack. The young guy, male employee said that the key tack is not working anymore, and he took my key tack without asking.
Question: Why is my key tack not working today, it worked all the days before ?
This was my second key tack. I lost one before.
The employee said, I have to download the planet fitness app. If I don't download the app I can't use the gym anymore.
I said: "I can't download the planet fitness app, there's security reason." If you use VPN there are issues for some apps.
I tried to show the employee to show this on my phone. While I'm looking for the app in my phone another employee from the back (elder female) said: I" get no key tack anymore, if I cannot download the app, I can't use the gym."
Question: did you change the policy? Where does the contract show that I can just the gym with app?
I said to the female employee she's not very polite.
While we are talking about VPN and the app a black young costumer next to the female employee said many bad words to me" [censored] you, [censored],''
I said to him: "You are also not very polite, where do you learn all the bad words?"
I came very angry very next to me less than 10 inches and still screaming to me with bad aggressive words. I said to the aggressive guy: "stay away from we, you're too close."The female employee came over to me and now said: "I have to leave the store."
"Okay, I said." I turned my face to the door, did one step in this direction to leave the store, now I had the aggressive guy in my back. Suddenly, I get very hard hit from my backside!
I felt on the desk and felt with my head on the floor. After around 15 seconds, I just guess. I saw the ceiling. I start crawling back on my feet. Furthermore, I called the sheriff and I left the store, like the employee said to me and waited outside the building.
This is absolute not right.
The Sheriff came and I told him the story. The female employee came out and told the Sheriff that she hit me so hard that I felt on the floor!
I was again stunning! My weight is 210 pounds with clothes 220 pounds.
There's a camera over the desk. The camera is my witness. I hit nobody, I just stand all the time on the same position.
After all, another costumer came to me outside stopped with his truck next to me and said: "This male guy who hit you, left already top the backdoor out of the building."
I was asking him: "Did you see the conflict?"
He said: "Yes, he hit me hard."
This guy is another witness.
Question: If the employee hit me, Why? I was already leaving the building.
As I write this lines, I still have pain in my head. If that's tomorrow like now, I will go to the ER.

Made me leave stating I have don't have a membership even though I did sign up and money was taken from my account
I signed up for the new club opening in Smokey Point, Marysville Wa. I signed up for the black card which stated I could go to any club. I went twice last week, signed in with my app and had no problems. This morning they asked me to leave stating I did not have a membership. I tryed to talk to them but they were extremely rude and said it wasn't their problem or their job to help me.
I spoke to a woman that claimed to be in charge she said her name was "Tonya" at first she refused to give me her name. I asked for the corporate phone number and she refused. They made me leave without any help.
I am appalled I was treated like this, I am confused and angry that my bank account was charged the initiation fee but that I am being refused service.
I would like this to be fixed so that I can go to any gym as you advertise. I feel this is misrepresentation when you advertise one thing and do another. I am contacting you prior to contacting the better business bureau
Desired outcome: My membership activated immediately so that I may go to any club. The Marysville staff that was so rude reprimanded.
Customer service
I have been trying to resolve a payment issue with Planet Fitness Customer service for a month now, several proofs of payments were sent, every time they need something else, if you contact them, the feedback you get, we are waiting for this or that,
You cannot speak to a Manager or their Finance Department, they do not take customer queries,
Even reported the matter to the branch, not even the branch is successful with solving the issue, because they have to refer the query to the customer service who don't give feedback to the branches

Men's showers are filthy! And moldy
I have been going to planet fitness for years now and regularly shower post workout. The Mens showers and shower area have become more and more filthy over the last few months to the point I feel it is a health issue. The shower stalls have mold, mildew and scum everywhere. The floor under the non-slip matts are covered in mold along with the rugs in the changing stalls. I have spoken to some the the staff there in the early mornings yet not one attempt to clean. Planet fitness has a "Our Commitment to Clean" section on there web site yet the locker rooms in general are terribly filthy.
Desired outcome: Uphold your "Our Commitment to Clean" and clean the shows on a regular basis.

My 2 minor children joined Planet Fitness Faerie Glen in Aug22.
As part of the deal, they were allowed to join immediately, but membership fees were only payable from Sept22.
On top of this, I (as parent) was extended an invitation to make use of the facilities for a week, to see if I maybe also wanted to join. I did not accept this invitation.
01Sept22 = 2 x R199 deductions of membership fee reflected in my bank account. No problem - as that was the originally agreed upon contract.
01Sept22 = Additional 2 x R167 deducted.
I contacted Moses at Planet Fitness in Faerie Glen on 02Sept22. Moses contacted me back, told me that these were pro rata amounts which were not supposed to be deducted. Moses gave me 2 x reference numbers (Pf:3151297 and Pf:3151312) and told me that Planet Fitness would be in contact with me soon to rectify and that I needed to confirm said reference numbers with them.
No one has ever called me.
I enquired on 14Sept22 again, and Moses told me that he was on it.
I enquired on 16Sept22 again, and Moses told me that they were waiting for feedback from HO.
I enquired on 22Sept22, and Moses sent me a voice message saying that he was on it.
I enquired on 03Oct22 again, when Moses simply sent me a number to phone. I replied to Moses that they were supposed to contact me (according to Moses' original communication).
I however phoned [protected] and Mbali told me that Planet Fitness Faerie Glen was told early Sept22 already that the contract loaded on their system, indicated that pro-rata amounts were payable - contrary to what we were told by Moses and Donavan when originally signing up in Aug22.
Mbali told me that it was sent back to the Sales Manager of Planet Fitness Faerie Glen.
I sent a voice message on 03Oct22 to Moses explaining the above, but is yet to receive an answer.

On 9/26/2022 at approximately. 4:20 am I slipped.and fell at Planet Fit ess located in Rocklin Ca.. The incident happened when I was going from the shower to the dressing room they provide. After I got all my shower belongings gathered and in my bag I proceeded to the dressing room across about 5-6 ft away, from the shower I was using, when I slipped and fell on
landing on my back more on the left side of my body... At this time my upper thiegh felt like someone slapped it and my right elbow was a little sore.. So I got up and got in the DR and proceeded to get dressed. Overall I felt ok besides the soreness I already mentioned.. On the way out I talked to the young black man that was working the desk at the club.. I mentioned what had happen and if there was an injury report we needed to fill out and record it in my file just in case any injury would surface in the nexted few days that I wasn't feeling at the time of the fall.. He honestly looked at me with total confusion and had no idea what to do. Then he had me leave.my name and number for someone to call and record it later that day when someone who knew what ro do in this case and could file and record it.. It has been 3 days now and no one has contacted me about the incident and I have had some discomfort in my lower region of my back and am thinking about going to the Hospital to have it looked at to see if there is any injury that could of been caused because of the fall..
I feel that Said place Planet Fitness is responsible for my slip and fall do to negligence. Said place knows that when people will be stepping out of the shower and have to take a few steps to get to their dressing room to finish and get dressed to leave the facility. The surface that people have to step on to get from the shower to the dressing room is tile and we all know how slippery tile can be when it comes in contact with any wet substance. They do not provide any kind of railing that people can hold on to to prevent a fall from happening. There is no type of grip on the floor tile either.. If they would of had either
one of these things at the time of my fall I do believe it could of been avioded. But considering what they don't provide I find negligence on their part or side when the said incident happening..

Now it's been 8 days since I fell at your facility Plant Fitness in Rocklin ,Ca and for the past 3 mornings I have been waking up with a soreness in my back above my kidneys and below my shoulder blade andU will be going to the Hospital tomorrow in the early AM.. I am just letting you know what is going on and how I'm feeling since.the.fall
I will be telling them abt the.fall at the.hospotal and.go from .there.
