debit card charges
Hi am from Porterville ca and I have a very serious complaint, from planet fitness in Porterville. Back in September 2017 I was fostering a 15yr old girl she wanted to join the gym so i got her a membership using my debit well Fargo card. This girl left our home in bad terms in February 2018, so I canceled the membership in March, which I paid the cancellation fee I sign the paperwork for the cancellation. Just today I was looking at my bank account and notice that planet Fitness had charged my for services that I didn't sign for. I called them regarding that charge it just happened that the same girl goes back to the gym, and they just used my card for her. Now my complaint is how can they let this go through without my my consent they said that they asked her if it was on the same card she said yes and they did it. I am very disappointed and angry with the fact that how could they just let a minor ok the charge if it was not even the same name on the card or asked for an ID nor signature, after the account had been closed since March 2018 and all they can say is sorry for the inconvenience that they but my money back in 8 to 10 day, I think that is very poor professionalism of them and I don't get nothing in return for the inconvenience I would like if you can please look into to it and can figure out what happened, if perhaps they need to be trained they can't be doing that to people I trusted them with my card and come to figure they keep the card information that does not sound right I am so upset about the situation.
Can you please get back with me as to how to have them clear my card information and get my money back quick.

I have been dealing with a female manager of the Augusta maine planet fitness for a while. Her comments about me to others have caused me to leave. I have contacted the local attorney general's office and notified them of the destination i have been dealing with i have plenty of evidence o have pictures and voice clips of this manager comments negative and sexual. She has even moved on to commenting on my posts of my diets on Facebook and its causing me tp finally omce again stay up till midnight and think about this.
unauthorized charges
My husband is member and hasn't been to a facility in over a year. The yearly fee was sent to my bank account without notice on 6/1/18. This caused an overdraft fee of $30. I called the facility that charged my account and was informed that they do not send out notice of additional charges, but they are posted in the facilities as a reminder. I was also advised to have the yearly fee in the account within 24 hours so that I would get a refund for the $30 NSF I was charged. Funds were never taken out of my bank account after this conversation. On 6/7/18 my Credit Card was charged $51.63 without my authorization or notification from Planet Fitness. This is a UDAAP Violation and against the FDCPA. I called the facility on 6/12/18 after noticing the unauthorized charge on my Credit Card. I spoke with the Store Assistant Manager who told me she wasn't sure why they don't notify their members of the charges before they send them out and that they shouldn't have gone through the Credit Card 6 days later if we made the funds available for the yearly fee. I am now waiting for a call by the District Manager or whomever is above the lady I spoke with on 6/12/18. I have filed a complaint with Planet Fitness as well.
cancellation of contract when I don't have a job
I have a membership with Planet fitness and I have spoken to a few unhelpful call centre agents. I currently am unemployed and I am looking for work, and due to me not working I am unable to pay for my membership. I have asked the call centre if they cannot put a hold on my account so that the amount outstanding does not keep increasing and then I am left with a bill of thousands that I am unable to pay back but they say there is nothing they can do. I am currently under debt review and trying to pay what I can but I am not getting any help from Planet Fitness. I don't see how there is nothing they can do to assist me. I am just asking for assistance so that I can pay this up or cancel the membership and I will pay what I owe as it stands.
I find it ridiculous that they cannot assist and they don't really care when you speak to them. All they keep saying is I am sorry there is nothing we can do, I find this impossible, I feel that they just don't actually care.
gyms located holiday, fl & spring hill, fl
I signed up in March for black card membership, says access to all gym locations + facilities.
The last 2 weeks I've went to The Holiday gym & the Spring Hill gym. They scan my card have me sign name& home gym. After work out I ask to use the tanning or Red light they scan my card again no issue, have me go to schedule screen & scan my card on it says sorry can't find member ID. They tell me they can't let me use the facilities I need to go to Tampa & get a new card.
Now they know that I have black card membership when they scan my card it pulls up my picture & they see my bill is paid, so this new appointment thing won't go thru & both gyms tell me that they can't let me use any of the facilities.
I'd understand if I owed money or if the card didn't go thru when i come in but, it does, & they see my membership is for use of all facilities & locations.
If the issue was something I did y'all would be doing your part to get me to be responsible for my part in the contract. For them to not let me use anything cause this new system can't find me, after they just scan my card & clearly see my bill is paid to use the facilities & they still won't let me. I'm supposed to go out of my way to go get a new card, the card works fine. The Holiday staff was acting like I did something wrong even after they seen there was no money owed & they called Tampa. They should have some classes in customer services. Listen I don't want to cancel, I'm not gonna go out of my way to get access to what us offered by my membership when it's their new system that has issues. If I can't have full access to what I'm supposed to have then I'm not gonna pay & I'm not gonna pay to buy out the contract, they can let me out on charge. This is y'all breaking the deal not me. Thanks for your time sorry I really hate to complain this don't make sense. I will be contacting holiday gym about the staff they need trading on how to act.

I would like to bring to your attention a situation that happened at my last visit to your gym. My husband Charles currently has a membership and he also has the buddy plan as well. I came to the gym without Charles on this particular date . Since the weather has broken he prefers to train for his marathon outdoors. When I came to the gym my card was scanned and I proceeded to walk to the treadmills. I was called back and asked who I was and I answered Desiree Walker. The young lady went on to say that the name came up as Charles Walker and I replied that's my husband and what was the problem. She went onto say that I cannot workout unless I purchase a separate membership. I advised her that I thought he had the plan that can have another person come as well. She explained that I would have to come with him. I apologized, as I was never stopped before and told this. I am not complaining about your rules, however I am bothered by the lack of good customer service. The employee clearly saw I was dressed to workout with car keys in hand. I thought she would have let me know the rules for the next time I visit . She chose not to do this . Rather she embarrassed me and pretty much barred me from the gym, even though we have 20 dollars drafted out of our account every month. I think her conduct lacked empathy and it was quite unacceptable. I have not returned to the gym and more than likely may be canceling membership. As an Allstate regional employee I am very familiar with how customer service can impact your business and brand. Hopefully this can be used as a training opportunity. Thanks for your time.

To whom in may concern,
I got a call from saya recoveries to say I have been handed over by yourselves for r463
The contract start date was 2014/10/04.
It clearly states it is for 24 months which should end 2016/10/03.
When I signed the contract, the consultant did not say that if the contract does not start at the beginning of the month, it will end at the end of the month.
They have not done this is writing, and they do not gave my signature whereby I accept this.
I cancelled this account on thursday the 1st sept 2016.
I even had a disagreement with the consultant as he wanted to charge me for the full month of october stating that's when the contract ends.
He said he would log the compliant and I have ever heard back from planet fitness then 1st september 2016.
Now today 4th june 2018, 1.5 years later I get a call from saya recoveries to say I have been handed over by planet fitness.
I will happily pay for 3 days (r41.77) as per the legal signed contract attached.
Planet fitness cannot provide me with the following:
• proof that the consultant advised me of the extension date of 1st nov 2016 when cancelling the contract
• my signature whereby I agreed for the extension of 1st nov 2016
• proof that planet fitness has been calling my cell phone asking for the money since october 2016

Today, I noticed that Planet Fitness withdrew $42.90 from my bank account for annual renewal.
I had neither authorized this annual renewal, nor was I notified of this unauthorized withdrawal of annual fee. When I authorized one year's membership fee on June 1, 2017, I asked the question about future annual renewal, and I was categorically told that future annual renewal would be optional implying that the renewal would not be automatic. Was it a deliberate dissemination of misinformation?
• Accordingly, I am requesting that the amount of $ 42.90 be credited back to my bank account; also, notify me of the action you have taken.
• Furthermore, I am terminating the authorization of Planet Fitness monthly membership fee withdrawals unless I renew my membership.
Effective on the date through which monthly payment has been made, I am terminating my membership wit Planet Fitness. It is my decision to continue membership or not. Once the unauthorized withdrawal of annual fee has been credited, I may reconsider rejoining Planet Fitness.
My advice to Planet Fitness CEO is, "honesty and uprightness ar the hallmark of successful business".

This recently happened to me as well and I am not happy. I am a single mother who budgeted exactly what I needed to get groceries and get to work.
My membership contract ended February 2018. The annual renewal fee was charged Friday, June 1st, 2018.
When I called my home fitness site (Owings Mills Maryland-Reisterstown Rd.), the rep told me that no manager was available to assist and only they had the authority to reverse charges. It was a normal business day... and I called at 9AM. I just spoke with the manager, today is Tuesday. She begrudgingly cancelled my membership moving forward and proceeded to give me hassle about requesting reversal on the $39 charge. I did not authorize this charge. Planet Fitness needs to refund me immediately.

Hey my name is Rachelle White I visit planet fitness tonight like I normally do at 9:30pm on 05/26/18 with 2 guest and I checked in the guy behind the desk he said his name was KJ once he scan my card me and my two guest was walking away to go work when he said hold on wait a minute what's going on here are these yours guests I said yes well your only allowed one and they need Id I said well he has been here with me before in they never id him he got mad so me and one of guest walk away to go exercise while one was still talking to him so after about 5 mins of talking to him she came to me and said KJ said your bill is due in 6 days am like first of all for one that's my business she shouldn't be talking my guest when my bill due I didn't like that and I just look on you guys website in it say black card members can bring unlimited guests but as of right now am thinking about cancel my membership because of the way I was treated tonight all the other Co workers there I never had a problem with he is the first in he rub me the wrong way tonight
ridiculous regulations
I have been working out here for over 1 year and Tonight May 24, 2018. Around 9:15pm-9:45pm I was approached twice by the facility personnels. The first one was a woman while I was jumping rope. She said that I can not jump rope. I asked her why? She answered that "you can not bring outside equipment in here". I asked her "Do you have rope for me?". She's then quite. After that about 5 minutes, 2 more staffs approached and said that I can not work out in the circuit area and told me to work out near the stair way. I told them No because that's where people go up and down the stair and others be walking back and forth. They went on saying that their manager said that I can not move the equipment but I did not move the equipment at all. I didn't even touch the equipment. I told them to roll back the facility's camera. It was so ridiculous how the event occurred to me personally. It is so pathetic.

We have locations about 15-20 miles of our area. What's the sense of paying to attend a gym when I have to drive almost 20 miles to get there?

I have been requested to Pay R1530 towards my cancelation fee in order to process my cancelation request. I have done so and sent through my proof of payment and called in to the contact centre yet nobody can confirm for me on email the following: is my contract now cancelled ? is my debit order now stopped ? How is this possible that you cannot action on this immediately but you require the cancelation fee immediately. I don't regret my decision to cancel.

I have been a member of planet fitness for 4 years. I am middle age female and work full
Time. I frequent the gym after work which would be 4-6 pm. This location is now surrounded by newly built housing for a local state university. The parking for fitness center is now consumed by college kids and there is no supervision to keep the students out. Even though the signs say for members only. It is so frustrating and the kids are rude when you speak to them regarding them
Parking there. I enjoy going to the gym but these kids make it a challenge on a daily basis weather you can find s parking spot. I have addressed this with the employees and it has fallen on deaf ears. Very frustrating and hope you can help

I attend the Jasper Alabama Planet Fitness gym have been a member for almost a year-and-a-half and recently I had some health issues I could not go to the gym for about 5 months straight but let it be known I was still paying every month because I knew as soon as I felt better I was going to go back to the gym so on May 13th 2018 it was a Sunday I called to make sure they were open cuz like I said it had been a few months since I had attended the gym. Now you are so I go up there and on that day I just tanned and an employee by the name of Alyssa I do not know her last name approached her because she was at the desk and gave her a card to check me in and I had points to redeem I didn't even know that I could redeem points until the night before LOL so she got my t-shirt and that went okay she was a little bit rude about it but I let it go she looked to be a teenager employee so like I said I Let It Go I come in today which is May 14th 2018 and I actually want to work out and lay in the tanning bed so as soon as I got to the gym I went to the restroom to use the restroom and then I come back out and I was looking at the lotions because that's what I was looking at the day before 2 because I had actually ran out of the last lotion I had bought from y'all and the same girl Alyssa came up to me and said I need to see your ID now and I said okay and gave her my keys which have my Planet Fitness ID card on them and she checked n made sure I was a member and what not and then came back to me and said you have to check in with us from now on when you walk through them doors and I said okay I will no problem but yet again I remembered her from the day before so I was not very satisfied with her attitude towards me as a person the day before I let it go because she's a teenager and I have kids of my own so I know by the way she represented herself and came up to me like that I was not happy at all any other employee I've ever dealt with in the Jasper Alabama Planet Fitness have been absolutely wonderful I have had no problems and I'm not a person who causes problems with people but when I feel like I'm treated bad for no reason I have to say something and I apologize for that but that's just my nature and background of the kind of person I am I would just like it to be known that this young lady needs to work on her customer and communication skills that will help her in the future I have no problem as long as she from this point on treats every customer like a paying customer like they are and I will have no problem

We purchased out membership online due to the new location we will be using isn't open yet. Before purchasing we were told with the black card we can use any location and all of the amenities. We went and worked out at the other Ocala, FL location and tired to use the massage chair afterwards, but our cards were not scanning. We were then informed that the owner had told the staff not to let members of the other location use anything but the equipment in the main room (would not even give the wifi not that we needed it) and that even when our location is open we will still not be able to use any of their amenities. Very upset at how rude they were and the fact that we were assured we would be allowed to use any location with our black card membership, but now we can't?

Please let us out of this contract! We thought we were joining for a month, but when we went to cancel, I was told it would cost $60.00 to cancel. It was our understanding that we joined for a month and could cancel before May 10, 2018. The contract was not explained properly. We are seniors and can not afford this center. We just found out that my wife has a torn rotator cuff, she cannot use the equipment at your center. No one would help with the use of the equipment, when we asked someone he said he wasn't supposed to help, it wasn't his job, but he did comply briefly. Your center does not have the machines that we can use, they are all too big and complicated. We go away for the winter and did not want a year commitment. Please answer this we are so disappointed in Planet Fitness.

1. I like this place because of convenience and price, which I imagine is the only consideration for many average, infrequent gym-goers (your target market).
2. It's dumb to serve pizza and bagels. I get that you
a) don't judge people because ‘everyone's trying to be their best them' (but you are not helping them if they are trying to be healthier and lose weight or get in shape; pizza and bagels are guaranteed to hurt that effort...guaranteed- why not smoothies or froyo or fruit or quinoa or something that healthy people eat?)
b) want perpetual 10 dollars/mo,
...but it's counterproductive to your audience
3. Do these places really not have the ability to change the channel in front of the treadmills?!? Perfectly fine most days but when there is something live and local (say, an NBA playoff game for your hometown team) why in the world wouldn't that gym be able to put that on?!? Stupid, plus now you've made me hold off on my workout for 15 mins trying to 1. Find a way to contact PF to ask about this or complain 2. Write this message.

You can check my records as to when I had a membership because when I signed up I was told that there would be new gyms opening up in my area (Hope Mills, NC). I was told that at least 2 new gyms were opening up in my area within the year. After the year was up, there were no gyms in my area (which is why I cancelled). Can you PLEASE build a gym in Hope Mills, NC? We need one in a bad way!

I don't understand why they make it so damn hard to issue a refund to someone who was completely unaware of the charges that were being charged on their account, someone needs to do something about this. Its ridiculous and I'm not going to stop until they fix that. They said I have to wait 3 weeks to even see if my refund proposal is approved or denied, how in the world do they get away with stuff like that when I never authorized this.
