I had an eye exam on 11/26/08. I had had pnuemonia for 5 weeks and did not get back for my follow-up. About 2 weeks ago, I went into get some contacts and the sales rep said I would have to pay for a complete exam again because I didn't come bavk for the follow-up. She stated they had a new eye DR. and the one I had had left. I feel I paid for that eye exam and that is my contact prescription. She was not very professional. I did get upset and she did not help things at all with her know-it-all attitude. Thank You for any help you can give me.

I just find that it is my responsability to worn any one that I can about the manager at the Mobile, AL Sams Club. This woman knows nothing about optical. She's the manager of this store and has been for a little over a year. She does not have a clue about what she is doing. Everytime I go in there people are complaining about her. She is RUDE and she has NO...

I went to Sam's Club and my bill was higher than I expected. I asked why and the cashier said the extra charge was for your card upgrade. I did not request a card upgrade. They TRIED to charge me for a membership card upgrade without asking or telling me. I had the cashier remove the extra charge. I have been a member at Sam 's Club for over 10 years but I will not renew my card because of this kind of unethical behavior.

2004 I took out a sams membership and it's credit card. I used it for a major purchase and then paid it off. Never used it again. A year later, after relocating to another state, the sams membership auto renewed, and charged that renewal to my card ( unknown to me) ...Some months later, I discovered that hey had reported me to the credit bureaus as delinquent and a charge off -- I did get the charges removed, and discontinued membership, but 4 and 5 years later, it is still haunting my credit record. they are unscrupulous crooks and liars. I will never do business with GE Money Bank, or Sams clubs again as a result of this.

Yeah they will fix it if they have the incorrect address...no need to freak out about it though since you moved and never notified your credit card company. Or file a dispute with the FCRA.
well u no i had the same thing happen to me i called sams cust service and theyfixed it for me i moved and never updated my address my fault forgot i had it noticed it called them it was off my credit report 30 days later so i would call them and not yell just talk to them and tell them what happen .

Went to buy food at Sams club with my card with them and I had just paid them two thousand dollars on the card a month ago and had a balance of three hundred dollars left. I paid in cash because they would not take the banks check. We have very good credit and never been late on a payment. They would not let me put more on my card . I was treated like dirt...

at least (2) gas pumps at Sams club in Tampa Fla the auto shut off did not work, gas on ground & shoes. no apparent safety measures around pump to contain spill. No attendant in office at gas island, he was working in nearby car wash. I finally found him and notified him of the problem but he didn't appear as though he was going to do anything in the near future. Tried to get on Sams Club web site to complete the survey the have on cash register recepit but that didn't work. When my membership expires I think I will use the money to replace my "gasoline soaked shoes".

The same happened to me in Michigan and I called the police. They did not send the fire department even though there was about 3 gallon of gas puddled aroubd my car. The police wouldnt even file a report so I could take my complaint further. Where do I go from here? The fumes made me sick!
Definitely a safety hazard when the pump continues to pump after the tank is full. No excuses here folks. Either the pump attendant is aware of the problem and chooses to ignore it (ignorant of the fact that he is about to be barbecued one of these days) or he may already have informed his supervisor and has not gotten any response. I would call the Fire Dept. instead and have THEM knock on their management door. Until then, No Smoking Please !
No customer service
My wife and I have been loyal customers of Sam's Club spending $22, 987.23 in their stores since 1997. We began charging purchases to the Sam's Credit Card when that became available in the Spring of 2003, and since then have always paid our monthly balance in full and on time. In November 2008 my wife and I took a 2 week vacation to Hawaii, and while we were gone received a $144. bill for charges at Sam's Club. We returned on December 7 and I paid the bill in full on December 7.
Shortly thereafter I received a statement for a $25 late fee on the $144. purchase which equals 17.4% interest. When I called the credit company that works behind the scenes for Sam's Club they refused to talk to me since my wife's name was on the card, although everything we have is jointly owned. I then went to the local store to get their help and they said my problem was with GMAC, not Sam's, and they couldn't help me. All I know is when I pay for the goods at Sam's store, the blue card says Sam's Club so as far as I'm concerned, Sam's owns the responsibility to resolve any credit issues.
I promptly explained to the Sam's associate that I would spend another $23, 000 over the coming years, but not at Sam's, at COSTCO (where I can earn a rebate by the way). As such I have canceled all of my memberships with Sam's Club and have joined COSTCO. This is no loss to me, and maybe my little bit of business is a minimal loss to Sam's. But rest assured, I plan to tell everyone I know of my Sam's experience. Simply put, Sam's cannot partner with another company to provide services to its customers and not provide proper oversight. It is Sam's Club brand that is being tarnished here, not GMAC which only appears in the fine print of the statement.

I have always been a loyal customer of Sams Business Credit Card system and paying my fuel card off each month. This past weekend I went to Sams Club in Wichita Falls, TX to discover someone in another state started using my credit card with their name and phone number. I reported all this to the police. Someone charged my credit card over $1200.00 dollars even after receiving another card from membership. My account number was compromised with someone with phone number [protected]. My charges were $1241.28 on one bill in front of membership. Since they are slow to interecede with a very small crime prevention management team except their video cameras, I am letting the public know how slow and corrupt they can get. They told me I would have to wait ten days...I have also written the BBB because I am tired of being a victim to scam artists, arsonists, and thieves. The city police are slow to help and often helping themself..The FBI does not handle anything under $50, 000...
Dear [censor],
You only spent an average of $1, 915.60 a year through out the course of your membership to the date of this posting. Sam's Club is partnered with GEMB (GE Money Bank), not GMAC. GMAC is automobile financing. I spend more money in the course of a month at Sam's Club than you do in the course of 12 years. Please ensure that you do cancel your membership if you haven't already, as there will be one less [censor] in line in front of me. No one cares about your interpretation of who is at fault. Legally, your issue is with GEMB, and not Sam's Club. These people are doing their jobs, and crying like a baby won't help you resolve the issue. Have your wife call, (as legally she has to be the one to do it), and take care of the problem. I'm sure that if you were to rationally explain the issue as opposed to spouting off like you definitely did, there would have been no need for an escalation.
Sincerely,
Anyone who has ever worked in customer service.
You did what will have the most impact! Businesses die one customer at a time. Did you know Sam's Club just went bankrupt and closed all doors in Canada? Last day was Sunday March 15th, 2009. We only used it for the Photo Center (my wife prints a ton of digital pictures!) We were always shocked at the emptiness of the place, but every time we go to Costco, lineups a mile long!
Whatever they were going, they did not impress too many customers. One thing these companies do that pisses a customer off is "outsourcing!" The outsourcing companies have no direct stake in the customers satisfaction! Especially a Credit Service company. They have undercut the competition so much to win the bid, they need to overcharge and under-serve to make a profit! Go figure...
So, keep telling everyone about your experience and dissatisfaction. You'll bring them down eventually.

I called Sam's Club about my table top cracking. It was the heavy slate -mable table. They told me to get in touch with JRA Furniture which I did. They told me they would replace my table. then they went out of business. No wonder when they lye to their customers like this. To pay over $700.00 for a piece of furniture that was kept under a porch and not even in the sun or rain is crazy. Didn't even last a year. Sam's said there wasn't anything they could do.

I have been a member of Sams Club for over 3 years and a die-hard shopper of both Sams Club and Walmart Stores. This morning, I went to my local Sams Club Warehouse and was told to leave because I was not a 'business member.' Apparently they have this policy of only business members shopping before 10 am.
I have gone into this warehouse many times before 10 am and no one has ever mentioned this to me before, much less kicked me out. The greeter told me to talk to the manager and pointed to a lady who was walking away from the front door to the check out's (She was a manager of some sort) She heard me mention (as I said it loud enough) that this was not very customer or member friendly to deny a paying member the opportunity to shop!
She continued to walk away as if she didn't care that there was a customer service issue at hand. It should make no difference what type of member (business or personal) that you may happen to be, any store(membership or otherwise) should not turn away business.
It is bad enough that we have to endure their long lines at the checkouts because they don't want to hire more people to checkout members. We usually have to wait an average of 15 mins. to get checked out and they thank us by kicking us out because we go into their store early? What's wrong with this picture?
I am cancelling my membership and will not be shopping at Sam's or Walmart Stores ever again and I will be encouraging everyone I know to do the same. Walmart & Sams may be the largest retailer in the world but they have the worst customer (no) service in the industry!

Was told by the [censor] at this tire store of Sam's that I could not order the Pirelli Scorpion Verde all Season Radials except by ordering them on-line. I did so and never heard back that the tires were in. I called a tire dept employee and he told me that no confirmation of my order ever received.

Thank God This was a trial run- I got tires elsewhere.
In store #8213, Columbus, GA, I received a bad service. In the Snack shop, there used to be three to four people. Today they had two. I ordered a hotdog combo with drink. They didn't have my drink so the lady at the counter said wait a minute, while the line got longer and longer. Fifteen minutes later, I went to Customer Service and ask for a Manager and I returned my food. 10 minutes later no manager, no refund. I left disappointed. You are a billion dollar operation. What kind of Store this is? You sell items that you don't have and you intend to aggravate people.. Bert Herras, [protected], Columbus, GA.

Hamburger has "odd" taste even though box stated it was 100% Angus beef. I had grease all over my cooktop which I do not have when frying sirloin burgers. I threw away the remaining and will never purchase it again.
ordering the wednesday pre thanksgiving sale, there was NO way to order, get the correct pricing when ordering or to get an email or phone number from the website. I order about 20K or items yearly and this is bad!
Jason Tillo must be an employee of Sam's Club or Walmart. It shows due to his lack of constructive feedback and greater strength of simply criticizing others. Please keep in mind that a good majority of employees at both Sam's Club and Walmart have no more than a high school diploma and work for minimum wage for a good portion of their lives. They do not have the educational expertise to deal with customer service and act appropriately.
There is no customer services for c-store customers management need to get survey from c-store customer if they call every one and ask about employee in the Sam's club they even not trained right they do not know what they doing and make so many mistakes and waste customers time.we never get out right time from Sam's club. only one thing keep everyone in the Sam's is cigarettes prices. if Sam's have a competitors than people stop go to sam's club.i am not wright my personal experience this is for most every other customers.
My only complaint Is : People doesn't know how to say please and thank you any more that's one thing I made a habbit to do! On rare occassions I forget ! It's mainly employees and employers and some times Members! Come on people how hard Is it to say Please and thank you!
I have no complaint a bout any thing! Just an easy way to save you more money! I have noticed That Home depot and Menards contract there maintenance In! They get by a lot cheaper! For an example If you have four Maintenance men like Club 8180 does! Three full timers and one part timmer! Between all of them I figure make around 45 dollars an hour! That doesn't count the benefits that you pay them! Just think them cut backs that you could make at all SamsClubs and Walmarts ! Eliminate the Maintenance departments. Hire In a cleaning team. Just think of all that vacation time you would be cutting out! And Insurance benefits for all full time maintenance! Sit down and do your math! I am going to be honest I work at Sams club 8180! But I think all walmarts and Sams Clubs should do this!
None of this crap is an excuse to be rude to a customer. All you dip-### complaining about how you work there and get treated bad and therefore have to right to be a dick, boo-fraken-hoo... you should have stayed in school then you wouldn't have ended up with a crappy job.
wow - you people are nuts. I don't think I should have to show my card to get in the door during non premium hours because it is stupid. I agree with the original poster and I will not continue shopping at sams. I was screamed at and acosted by some old fart greeter to show my card. It was insane.
awful place
The reps for the collectors are in Jamacia and you can not understand a word they say. They have called my home at least 2 times a day after being told several times of our circumstances. Sams Club and Walmart outsource their credit card to GE Money who outsources to Alliance One. THis is why so many Americans do not have jobs-so BOYCOTT SAMS CLUB AND WALMARTS. This has become a real hight mare for me and if I can, I want every one to stop shopping at the above referenced stores. And do not use a GE MONEY BANK card for anything.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
There are no collections reps in Jamaica with that credit card...Alliance One is an actual collection agency though...so they may hav reps there. So if your credit card was charged off due to non payment, then the agency bought your debt from the credit company, and are now trying to get the money that you now owe them...
terrible quality product
After buying the 11X11 Pavillon from Sams. I assembled it and was happy. One month later it began to fall apart. Sams told me if I brought it in they would give me a refund. Problem is, an 11'x11' wooden pavillon is not able to be moved once it is assembled.
Sams sold an inferior product for nearly a thousand dollars and knowingly sold this item though complaints were pouring in over the failure of the item to live up to expectations. I strongly recommend to be very careful when buying from Sam's Club. I learned the hard way that they will not work with you once you leave the store. Very unhappy with Sams and stuck with a broken pavillon on my patio.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Dear [censor],
They offered you a full refund. Disassemble the pavilion and bring it back. Just because you are lazy doesn't mean they should take a loss.
Sincerely,
Anyone who has ever worked in customer service.
P.S. Enjoy your pavilion, [censor].
I'm curious if anyone has had any problem working there at Sam's Club. I worked at the Sam's Club in Bloomington and put in my two weeks notice when another job came in for me. There didn't seem to be any issues as my evaluations were always 'exceeds expectations'.
My last week I slipped on the ice and got a concussion. I called out and explained the situation and faxed over the doctors not from the emergency room. I asked if there was anything else needed since I was going to use the sick time I had accrued from being there for nearly a year.
I called back after I had officially left since I was no longer able to access their website to see what my last paycheck would be. I called in and was quickly told that my sick pay would not be used and I had summarily lost it.
After calling corporate office they told me to contact the Market Manager Mike Brugger to straighten this out. Surprisingly the Walmart Corporate office was shocked at this. The Bloomington Personnel person Bonnie suddenly tried to claim that I had never faxed in my documentation even though I had the confirmation both verbally and in writing.
Now Delana at Bruggers office told me they were going to fix everything and yesterday, the check that was owned me (for even the days I was there physically working) is nonexistent.
As I saw a manager at the Bloomington make changes on the computer to employees schedules which I thought was very illegal, it makes me wonder if there applying their magic to mine too.
If other people who've worked there have had a similar experience let me know.
Thanks,
William Johnson
32&wide-screen lcd tv/dvd combo
I bought LCD 32" HDTV/DVD Combo for $999 08/06, plus paid for three-yr extended warranty. Almost three yrs. exactly the off/on sensor went out, then the picture went out. So what I have left is a 32" wide-screen RADIO! All I have is sound. Boy am I pissed. After more than half-dozen calls and the royal run-around the TV service they referred me to says the reokacement panel for my TV model is NO LONGER MADE! Inoticed Sam's no longer carrys that brand either. They know it is a substandard piece of electronic schlock! I'm still waiting since 9/15 for them to locate a part that is no longer made. NEVER SHOP AT WAL_MART or SAM'S EVER! My membership is up in October and I will no longer spend a dime with either business. Target is a better business anyway, at least they sell products made in the USA. And I will be returning to Costco FOR GOOD!
Well if you bought the Service Plan and they cant find the part to repair it, they will replace the entire TV for you so you will be in great shape! B een there done that, it was a great experience actually! I bought a Projection TV they couldnt fix it and end up doing a "buy out" by replacing it and ended up with a Plasma Flat Screen much better than my original Projo! I was happy!. Not sure what Target you shop at, but Target has NO selection in electronics, and the TVs they carry are ALL from China, same with Costco. Great selection but if you think any electronics anymore are from USA I have some land in FL to sell ya! Just kidding, but it is true about most ALL electronics are from China, Korea, Hong Kong. Most USA products are assembled in USA but manufacturerd off shore.

Beware of the Sams Club Discovercard issued by GE Moneybank. I have no complaint of Sam's Club except that they associate with such a corrupt organization like GE Moneybank. I was set with a low ($6, 800) credit limit when I opened my account. I knew I would need more than that during a monthly billing cycle. So, I made advance payments from my Wells Fargo bank debit card at the club store to ensure that I did not go over my available credit. Now, GE says that those payments from my bank account are not available for 20 days, and the account is locked until they clear. So, I have prepaid GE $5, 000 of my money and cannot use it because they claim they are waiting the payment to clear. The money was debited from my account the day I paid them, yet they claim they do not get the money for 20 days. Who has the money for those 19 days. So, not only can I not use the prepaid credit, I cannot use any of the $6, 800 credit limit. What kind of third world financial system are they using that would take 20 days to get a electronic payment from one bank to another. When you call, you are talking to people in Asia that say you can fax a copy of your bank statement or have the clerk at sam’s Club call them. What a joke, neither of those got the issue resolved. They say something different each time you call. They just want the use of your money for 3 weeks.
Got my new (Renewal) cards from Sam's Discover, and had to call them to activate. No big deal right, Wrong. The automated activation system takes your information and then at the end puts you on hold for a live person. I was on hard five minutes, thinking something was wrong. No, a nice lady comes on and asks about the weather, then goes into her selling speach. I interrupted her to tell her, you mean Sam's Discover put me on hold for 5 MINUTES to sell me something, you have to be kidding me.
No complaints about Sam's Club, but the website for Sam's Club Discover is terrible. I have to call customer service nearly every month to get into my account to post a payment. Changes to user names and passwords are effective for that time, but the next month we start all over again and I'm on the phone with them for 20-30 minutes to resolve the access issue. Far and away the worst credit card site I deal with.
I have never had a problem with the website. Maybe operator error?
I have the same problem with Sam's Discover card. They prevent me from checking my account on line.
I cannot log onto the Sams Discover Card web site about 9 times out of 10. They have problems with their web. It is the only credit hard that i own that continually has t his problem. Also if I pay my bill before the 6th, it goes on lasts months bill and then they charge a late fee for that month!

In June of 2008, I book a vacation package through Sam’s club travel from Washington DC to Ft Myers Florida. As part of the package I purchased the travel protection. Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Fay was bearing down on the southwestern coast of Florida the day I was to arrive. The airlines cancelled the flight the day before but I was able to reschedule the flight with no problems. Next I contacted the hotel to change my travel. According to the clerk at the hotel, there were still rooms available that matched my room description and I was told yes but to contact the booking agent to change my reservation. The problem I encountered was Sam’s Club travel staff. I spent almost three hours on the phone with various staff people and most of that time I was on hold trying to change my reservation. I am convinced that placing customers on hold it a tactic and is extremely aggravating. They were able to change the reservation but not without is costing me additional cash for which I should not have been charged due to the fact the circumstances were completely out of my control due to weather. Their system did not show the same room description available even though I relayed what the hotel staff had explained to me earlier. The staff was unwilling to contact the hotel directly to inquiry whether the fees could be waived. Their attitude was “too bad” either pay the additional monies or cancelled! As a last resort, I tried to book the hotel directly but given the short notice the cost was outrageous. In the end I was forced to incur additional costs because your policies and staff were not flexible enough to accommodate unforeseen events like weather. The whole situation was unfortunate and has left a sour taste in my mouth. I will never make travel plans through them again.
Sam's Club Travel = Expedia. Will never use them again.
There really is no Sam's Club Travel apparently. We learned this recently when we were getting ready to sail on a family cruise and discovered that one of the two rooms we had booked through Sam's Club Travel had been cancelled. No notification, no explanation as to how half a reservation can simply be cancelled.
Although the problem was "resolved" literally a few hours before the cruise departed - no thanks to Carnival who flatly stated, "Call your travel agent. We are sold out and have no solution for you." - we ended up $570 out of pocket to fix someone else's mistake. We were pretty much forced to accept any offer as my husband and two sons were booked in a cabin (and paid); and myself and my daughter were going to be stuck in San Diego (we are from Florida) for a week while the rest of the family cruised. (Interesting question: Why did Expedia find a cabin, but Carnival didn't?)
We still don't know if the mistake was on Expedia's side or Carnival's side or somewhere in between the two. Our reservation wasn't made via Internet, but was made on the phone w/Expedia (aka Sam's Club Travel) agent who was also coordinating via phone with Carnival since we needed our two cabins to be close together. We paid in full while on the phone making this reservation - or so we thought.
As it was, our cabins were on opposite sides of the ship; there is no real explanation yet of how it happened that half of our reservation was successfully paid and the other half left unpaid and cancelled. And no real explanation as to why we were NEVER notified of this.
Never again. Not Sam's Club Travel. Not Expedia. Not Carnival or any sister ships. There are way too many other vacation options than to have to put up with companies who have forgotten that the customer is important and should be treated as such.
bad service
I purchased my desktop in April 2004, purchase price $589.00, $79.00 for a 3 year warranty which will run out in April. I had a lot of problems to begin with and I sent it back to Compaq twice and they fixed it. Once my my warranty ran out, I began to have lots of problems, so I called Sam's and they were great far as sending some one out to take care of my computer in fact in record time. Normally I don't purchase the extended warranty because I repair my own, but this time I did. It did take a while for them to find a company that contracted out to my area, when they did they called I told them exactly what was wrong with the computer & the computer tech knew nothing infact I told him the processor was the problem & he said i am sending a new mother board & the processor is attatched (they are not on a desk top), but attempted. they sent all the wrong parts & argued with the company they contracted with about what the tech who trouble shooted my computer said was wrong. So that warranted another call same treatment, now this is from an outside company Sam's uses. SO I filed a complaint against that company, and Sam's found another contract company for repairs. to make a long story short, my computer has had so many repairs, total new items(this is a combination of the 2 contract companies that where even sent one on Monday & one on Friday same week, they want to keep replacing I will let them, but the computer is a lemon) 3 new mother boards, 10 new CDRW Drives, 12 new hard drives, 1 new memory Chip, 8 new DVD Roms, 1 new Monitor, & 1 new 1/2 Floppy disk. All the trouble that cost me is restoring the hard drive. I talked to Sam's Club, since according to my techs(of whom I have seen so much we are on a first name bases & my dogs know them) (the contract companies pay no attention to them) I have had a total of $6, 000 from one company & $10, 000 repairs from the other company for a $600.00 computer. Not more than 3 weeks ago I had new hard drive, dvd rom, & cdrw, and I will be calling them back for more repair as soon as my Laptop comes back from HP, it just needed minor repairs warranty runs out this month, the rom's all stop working just 2 days ago & the drive freezes up every 10 minutes. all the techs tell them is the computer as a whole is a lemon, either give her the original money back or let us replace every part of the drive at once to guarentee it won't go down again, because if the mother board, processor & electrical box are the problem which it is, they destroy everything else. Now it is acting up again. I have talked to Sam's tried to reason & even argued with them give me the $600 & drop the extended warranty or give me a full new computer, but it is more fun to spend a fortune to fix this thing than replace it. I even called Compaq to see if it is a lemon, if they had repaired it one more time it would have been considered a lemon in their records, but Sam's never sells lemons that is what I was told. Plus I am going to have the opportunity to renew my warranty for the same original price, I may do that if they are that stupid to continue putting money in a computer that was out dated the day I purchased it, then go for it. I could have purchased 6 plus new desk tops plus 6 plus new laptops. I can't understand why they are not reasonable on this, because it would save money and save the cost of prices going up in their store. Indirectly I am complaining about Sam's Logic here, but fair as the Company's they use to contract their warranty business is concerned they are nothing but idiots, if they won't listen to the Technicians they contract to do the repair work, then how can they have a clue what is going on...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I work for Sam's in Wisconsin, and when a member has problems like this we always are willing to refund their money or at least give them a new computer. I would call Sam's corporate (it's on the back of your membership card) and tell them what happened. They are so concerned with keeping your business so you keep spending money there that they will always accomodate you. If you get any slack, tell them you're going to go refund your membership and shop at Costco (seriously--it works!).

From my understanding, Sam's Club has independent contract Doctors. When you pay for an eye exam, you're paying the Doctor who really has no affiliation with Sam's Club. Sam's Club just gets money out of contacts and glasses. When Doctors leave a place like that, they generally bring along all their patient files with them. The new Doctor starts fresh. I can understand why you would have to pay for another exam because it's another Doctor, but Sam's Club is usually known for customer service and I would have went to a store manager. It's kind of late now.
If it isn't already too late already, find out where the Doctor went to and try to have a follow up in his new location. You paid him. You also should have let Sam's Club know that you were sick otherwise it just sounds like you're making excuses.
