Employee lacking customer service skills
Took my daughter to fill up her gas using credit. I was having a problem at the pump, so tried to use the pump next too ours too verify of it was my card or the pump. It said See cashier AFTER it told me Approved, which was weird. I went inside prepared to show ID for my credit card. When I entered, she was starting over the shelf, loudly talking crap about me because I couldn't get the pump to work. She didn't realize yet that I had walked in. Perturbed by this, I was offended. I asked her, can you fill up pump #6, and attempted to hand my card. She says "I need an amount", all rudely. I said, well I normally use credit at the pump, and there's no problem but today it said See cashier. I was thinking she was stopping my pumps because it would say Approved, then say See Cashier, like she stopped the transaction. Instead of explaining the situation to me kindly, or asking if I needed assistance, she laughed at me, talked smack, did not help me, then add I left to my own car, which was not at the pump, she ran outside yelling at me, but I ignored her because I don't do the whole yelling in public thing. Did she chase me outside because I said a simple "well... That's lame" as I walked out the door? This lady worked at 2pm on July 9, 2022 at Shell location 3060 S Hacienda Blvd, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745 I hope she didn't put some block on my cards.
Desired outcome: Please, just be aware of how this employee is behaving and improve this.

Thievery at the Gas Pump
Filled tank. Price on receipt $1 more per gallon than listed on marque and on pump. Phone number for station rings and rings and rings. No one picks up. Went to Shell website to file a complaint. The phone number listed on the official Shell website is not valid [protected]). Their chat feature provides worthless menu options and no way to speak to a person. Googled Shell’s corporate office. The number for Shell corporate office [protected]) is disconnected and no longer in service. Total [censored]. Very unhappy about this. Almost as if Shell has institutionalized grift and like they condone if not downright promote thievery at the pump at their stations. Sure not making it easy to let them know a problem exists. [censored] them, really. [censored] them.
Desired outcome: Full refund. Not only the amount over charged but the full amount for having to deal with their nonsense.
To be expected...Shell provides only a pro forma response. If they actually had read the complaint above, they would see what they suggest has already been attempted without success. This is a system meant to fail the customer by design. Shows how much Shell actually values their customers. Lousy company ethic. As long as there is another choice to get gas, my advice would be trust someone, anyone, other than Shell. Why don't you actually resolve the problem they send the customer down a rabbit hole. Really, the Customer Support is deficient. Get disconnected. Get people that don't speak English. Get people that don't want to help. Get people who can't be bothered to help. Get people who transfer you to the wrong department only for the wrong department to transfer you back from where you were transferred from to begin. This is institutionalized failure to discourage any meaningful customer contact. To be polite, ˈfək U!
Mechanic service
Friday June 17 my car began to leak antifreeze . I stopped by one gas station after work which was closed but the manager offered to take a look after I explained the situation . He informed me the car is leaking antifreeze at an alarming rate and I should drive home ( 2 miles ) and park it . I remembered there was a shell mechanic by my house so I took the chance and drive it there but they were closed . I returned the following morning and asked for the car to be looked at , the manage mike told me to leave it as there are cars before me and he will give me a call but there would be a $45 diagnostic fee . Later that day he called and stated the radiator , upper and lower hose and thermostat needed to be replaced but he did not have access to the parts so I would have to order my own parts . Now I’m out of a car for a week because that’s the delivery time . I went in to pay the diagnostic fee and to see how much the labor would be for the job . He told me and my mother “ 270 “ we agreed and left . The following week the parts I purchased all new came and were dropped off. June 29 is when the car began to get work done . He informed me it would be ready around 10/11 . At that time it’s not done he states to come around 3//4 . At that time he states it’s ready at 5 . I go in and mike the manger slides me a receipt for 600+ dollars . Confused I asked what that is for , he states “ the job took longer than expected “ I told him I’m not paying that because I spoke to him multiple times over the phone and not once did he mention that . As a mechanic shop who is supposedly experienced they should know how many hours of labor a job like that takes . being he already gave me a set price it was unethical to spring and extra 300$ on me . As a a manger he was very aggressive ! Speaking over me and yelling as if I was in the wrong in front of plenty of customers . He then made a statement for me to not try and act like a lawyer after I was EXPLAINING that he told me a set price for the job. After 10 mins of this a corker informed me that he was in the wrong and he’s going to charge me 270 in attempt to diffuse the situation. mike then entered the conversation re escalating the situation after I explained I do not want to speak to him I am speaking to the coworker . He yelled “ WELL IM THE MANAGER “ . Mike then added “ I’m going to charge you 270 but I’m going to charge you 30$ for antifreeze “ I paid the 325 because of tax , took the key and left . Today July first I notice a oil leak in my driveway . Frustrated I refused to go back to the SHELL station and went to a BP mechanic who looked at the car and informed me it’s hit from the gas pan it’s leaking from somewhere inside the car . I stated I just the requested items and asked if that could be the issue . He popped the hood and told me the hose is not a new and I should take it back because somewhere in the job something was done wrong which is causing a leak . I called the mechanic at shell and informed him and he suggested to bring it back after stating it wasn’t leaking when it left . I informed him I will bring it after work he agreed and I reached the shell around 4:45 being the closed at 5 I wanted to hurry . I entered the shop I seen mike ( who I wanted to avoid ) I asked him for the mechanic he said nothing nor acknowledged me . I walked into the station and the mechanic told me to figure it out with mike . I went back reluctantly and told him the car is leaking oil . He stated “ we didn’t touch the oil . I informed him the mechanic I bring it to stated it’s not from the oil pan it’s in the radius of where was worked on . He then get loud and states “ well your car was leaking a lot of stuff “ which was a BLATANT lie . He said bring it back another day . I said I cannot drive the car if it’s leaking oil he said well that’s not his problem the mechanic can’t work on it . I then brung to his attention the mechanic telling me the hose was not a new hose he said all the parts were put on . I asked him to give me the old parts he said they’re gone . I said well he needs to look at the car . I’m here before you close there’s and issue You caused so it needs to be addressed . He said” we’ll go tell the mechanic “ I walk back to the station and begin talking to the mechanic and mike begins yelling from across the station “ I TOLD HER TO COME BACK ANOTHER DAY BUT SHE SAID IT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT NOW SO SHE MUST BE THE MANGER “ patronizing me . I told mike I’ll just get the cops involved because this is ridiculous. I sat in the car and the mechanic walks up to me with a brand NEW told me the one I bought doesn’t have a part that it required . He gave me the part which leads me to believe that is one of the parts I purchased but he never put it on but still charged me for the labor of putting them all on . Simply a disgusting representation of a brand such as SHELL and I will not let up until this situation is addressed. I will be bringing the car elsewhere to be fixed and keeping track of all receipts and expenses

On May 5th we were trying to fill up our rental truck on the way too the airport we stopped at the shell at 1733 Parkway in Sevierville. My husband put our bank card in at the pump, it wasn't working so my husband went inside the clerk told him no issues with pump so we moved truck up and tried a different pump well this pay at the pump didn't work either...

bad fuel
I am writing this letter on behalf of my 99 year old Mother.
She fueled up her 2016 Equinox vehicle in Prince Albert Saskatchewan on May 24 2022 at 10:16:12. Drove home to Shellbrook Saskatchewan where she lives, parked the car. Drove down Town the next day and when she was pulling back into her yard the vehicle seemed to hesitate for a second... the engine then shut down on its own and failed to restart. Called CAA to have the vehicle towed to Shellbrook Chev Olds in Shellbrook, on May. 27 2022. The mechanic at the garage said it was bad gas from last fuel up.. They had to remove the tank and drain it. They found and excessive amount of water in the gas...We have the sample they took from the gas tank, as well as all the receipts for the fill up at Shell Canada and the service invoice they had to perform on the vehicle.
In error of Shell Canadas Fuel I believe this senior should be compensated for the cost of the full amount of the fuel put in Prince Albert Sk. and for the cost of repairing the vehicle.

Fraudulent charge on credit card for fuel purchase
I purchased five gallons ($20) of gasoline via Pay-at-the-Pump on 4/20/22 from the Shell station located at 2722 Roane State Hwy, Harriman, TN. My credit card has been fraudulently charged $200. I noticed the error while reviewing my most recent credit card statement. I did not purchase $200 of fuel. My vehicle could not possibly hold that much fuel.

I did not get a Receipt but my credit card was charged $60.07. I only purchased 2 chocolate milks on 5/11 between 8-9 am. I know it is a long shot to recover my funds but you need to know an employee is stealing. If they are stealing from customers they are stealing from you. Please call me to discuss.

I have been a member with shell credit card for 34 years, You sent be a e-mail on April 2 stating balance due 174.44 payment due date April 26. Went to get gas on April 14 and my card wad declined. Fleet card was sold to our business under the pretence of 6c a litre discount.
After spending 7 DAYS TRYING TO CONTACT Fleet CARD. I was left infuriated due to wasting time and money trying to resolve an issue I didn’t create.
Each staff member said something g different and there is no PROOF on an invoice of discounted fuel.
Without proof how do I know the promised 6c is applied?
I have attempted contact for 7 days via emails and phone calls only to be left straight at the start.
I have paid the invoice and want to be free of this awful experience however I am at a loss for time, and duress due to the misleading information used to make a sale.
If I can’t see the 6c discount, how do I know it’s applied?

On 4/2/22 @1:50am i was getting gas and after that I decided to get a car wash and when I was approaching the entrance a worker said “wait is there a cone there“ and my bf went to check and said no so he said okay go ahead so we proceeded to get a car wash and after that I went straight home and I literally live 1 minute away and I was gonna dry my windows once I got home but it was dark and I was tired so I went inside to sleep and In the morning I see some sort of paint on my car and it won’t come off even if I scrape it ! defective fueling equipment in Chesapeake Virginia

Last night (4-21-22 9:11pm) I was fueling my F250 diesel. The only diesel pump at this large station (4720 Taylor Road Chesapeake VA 23321) was dispensing fuel extremely slowly, so much so that I got back into my truck after standing at the nozzle for 3-4 minutes.
(I have a video that shows how exceptionally and materially defective this pump is for your consideration.)
I would occasionally glance at the pump to see if it had stopped pumping. I was bothered that the pump was so slow and taking so long to complete the refueling. At one point, a customer came waving her arms in a frantic display telling me that fuel was spilling on the ground from the nozzle. I looked and saw that it was and immediately exited the vehicle and stopped the fueling process. I estimate several gallons had spilled onto the ground and was running out of the tank down the side of my newish F250 Lariat.
I took several photographs of the ground with all the fuel. A stream of fuel about 50' long was obvious in the pictures from several angles.
I went inside the convenience store and asked for management to complain and ask for a partial refund of the $70.70 in fuel costs.
Management told me it was my fault and provided a name "Margi" as owning the business but would not provide any contact info.
Today, I went back to the station and spoke to the owner Margi. She lied that fuel stains from years of spills at this pump were not present, although I have fueled at this pump more than a few times over the years and always been disgusted how foul that pump area is.
I looked for the city business license to obtain official information to register a claim. The city license was located about 8' off the ground behind the counter at a distance of about 12'. I asked for the help to bring the license to me to see and photograph but they would not do this. I asked to be allowed behind the counter to photograph the license but was not allowed to do so. I stated the license must be conspicuously displayed for the public to obtain information to register concerns to the authorities. Margi said that was not correct.
Margi said World fuel owns the fuel and infrastructure and contacting Shell would result in Shell contacting World Fuel and they would decide what to do.
I generally have a positive brand cognition towards Shell, but this incident is a definite blemish & causes me to rethink my fueling options.
I have reached out to the city of Chesapeake about concealing the city business license issue.
Please enforce some measure with this ownership. A pump that runs so slow will likely not shut off when the tank is full, resulting in this safety, health, and environmental hazard.
This station ownership bold-faced lied to my me several times and may be neglecting maintenance with this pump to prevent this problem - best case.
Worst case, misadjusting the pump dispensing system to deliberately cause overfueling.

I purchased gas today, 3/26/22 at your Shell station, 800Ranhco Santa Fe Rd, San Marcos, CA. Your Signs outside on the road said Unleader gas $5.89 cash price, $5.99 credit card. I paid $60 cash for unleader and used my Ralph's Rewards points to save more money. I had 80 points off of the gas price. When I got to the pump, the price I was being charged was $5.29/gal. Simple Math: $.80 from $5.89 is not $5.29. I am a senior citizen living on social security and have to watch my expenses very carefully and am also trying to save where I can.
I hope you will make sure your stations' prices are correct. 20 cents per gal. is a needed savings to a senior citizen on limited income.
