Payed at the pump with my debit card. Then an extra forty dollars was taken from my account. The store said it would ROLL off. But if I go inside from now on, that wont happen. I thought the pay at the pump feature was for our convince? I've been a patron of this station since 1998. Signed... Madder than hell!
Shell will give the official answer that it's simply a bookkeeping and batching issue and completely goes away in a few days so don't be concerned. Truth is they have your money, and the money of 50 million other customers, "for a few days". You have, against your will and without your prior knowlege, loaned interest free your hard earned dollars. I'm sure they APPRECIATE all these small contributions. It just adds up!
bad service
I stopped by at this location during the weekend, Saturday 19th 2011 around noon. I'm disabled and I asked for help with my gas.
I was refused and rudely ignored by the attendant. She "huffed", walked away and refused to listen to me. I asked if I could pay in advance
so I wouldn't have to go inside the store. She told me that I wasn't welcome here and that I should go somewhere else.

my wife tried to purchase gas did not get the gas but was charged 20.00 she was told it would go back on her card it was not. We have contacted the manager on several different occasions but still nothing i want something to be done about this.

Do not go to this gas station, I have been there on three different occasions that I have caught the attendant giving me the wrong change. On the 16 december around 12.10am I stopped to buy two packs of marborol lights through the customer window outside, there is a call button, I pressed the button for service and could actually see the employee working inside, she looked at me then continued to ignore the fact that I was waiting on her service, after ringing the button 4 more times she finally came to the front she had made me wait almost 5 mins at the window, she got there and slammed a bleach bottle on the counter as if I was interrupting her work, I asked for two packs of marborol lights and she rang me up for three packs, at this time I told her I only asked for two, She argued with me and said I asked for 3packs, I said no I did not and I told her just give me two packs, she yelled at me and said no you didn’t.
I am very much upset and asked for her name she refused to give this to me, so just to let you know she was working the overnight shift from midnight until when ever on the morning of the 16 december. I have been a long time customer at this store over 20 years and I am very much upset at the way she treated me this evening. If this is the type employees you want running your store? I will not shop there anymore because of her.
I don't know how Shells run their business or if they hire people right off the streets but their customer service SUCKS BIG TIME! So are the managements who run the place don't know how to treat customers!

My daughter traveled from Denver Co. to hutto Tx. while driving throughft. worth she had stopped for gas at everman shell station. after she filled up, she started having a slight problems with her car stalling out periodically, this went on for about a month or so, her visit was short live and decided to move back to Denver Co. She had traveled the same route and made a stop at the same shell station, after filling up and was on the expressway she started having problems with her auto, stalling frequently. she finally made her way to a meinke auto repair station several miles away, they had put it on a dionostic and determined that she had recieved bad gas from this shell station. the mechinics there had told her that they have heard about that particular station having problems with the gas. I had to spend $112.95 to repair the problem.( they had to siphon most of the gas out of the vehicle and refill with clean gas and replaced the gas filter.) This was a bad experence for all involved, My daughter was in a area where it seemed that even the police officers would not get involved, I feel that I should be compinsated for the money paid out since it was not my daughtes fault Please contact me if possible [protected] Ila Brown

horrible customer service
I have been a smart canucks reader for a long time now but this is the first time I decided to join.
This morning ( Jan 2011) I pumped gas and paid for it with my credit card at Shell Canada on 1010 Jarry Ouest, corner L'acadie. The receipt did not come out of the pump so I went inside, said hi to the male cahier and told him in English I need a receipt for my pump purchase. He said in French, straight out I do not understand. He said do you speak French. I am perfectly bilingual but since he attitude was so crappy I said no. He said I do not understand. I said I need the paper receipt for the pump, he was angry now and said I do not understand and did not even try. What you think I am doing in the store after I pumped gas right in front of the window, I wondered. I felt as if I was on candid camera. I could not believe it, he was so rude. I saw someone in the back room and said it again loudly. The person in the back room came out and tried to smooth things over but in the meantime the cashier who refused to speak English was screaming and I mean screaming at me. I could not believe it! I said what is your name (In English) then he said I will not tell you my name (in French) and there it was, he understood everything I said!
He just refused to speak English. I can not believe Shell Canada would hire someone unilingual in an area which is known to have many immigrants who don't know the language. Or any Shell station for that matter. Also, I get better service in English in the little French towns in Quebec.
I was shaking when I walked out because I could not believe it. I am appalled and will NEVER ever go back to that gas station, even if they sell gas at 5 cents a litre!

Dec. 29, I stopped to fill car with supreme gas ($3. 59 gal).
While waiting in car, the gas overflowed and I was alerted by another driver there.
I immediately got out of car and stopped the fill up.

Shell gas station in Elgin, TX has faulty gas pumps.
Betsy - I suggest calling the owner of the gas station and reporting the problem. This is serious and reporting it up the chain may well help save lives and further damage to property. wierd scenario
So I go to this one gas bar all the time on the way to pick up my sibling from work. I go there tonite and get some gas just to hold me over til I can fill up. I go in to pay and I wanted to use to different bank cards, and the guy at the counter says no, I cant do that. So he hums and ha;s and then asks me to move aside so that he can serve other people. So I do. Then he says well do you have cash on you, and I say no I only have what I have on these cards, and hes like well I cant use two different cards. So then I say ok, Ill be back with some money. So I went to pic up my sib, then return with her debit card to pay it off and then the guy is like well can you pay 10, because someone else used your pump and ended up getting billed your gas as well, just didnt make a hell of a lot of sense, now he says I have to come back and pay what I want in gas, and an additional 7 dollars.

About 7:00 a.m. on 11/22/10, I went to the Shell Gas Station located at 5314 S. Harlem Ave in Summit, the sales rep was engaged in a loud personal conversation with another employee while assisting me with my purchase. In the midst of the transaction, I noticed that she tossed my credit card on the counter oppose to placing it in my hand that was held out to retrieve my card. I expressed to the employee that she tossed my card on the counter and I would appreciate if she handed it to me as I did with her when I originally gave it to her, she began speaking in a vulgar tone and stated" I'm not picking nothing up if you want you get it", so I explained to her that her tone and behavior was not customer service friendly along with rude. I in turn began to walk away and she yelled "your ignorant", in front of the entire store. I went to my car to get a pen and pad, walked back into the store and aske for her name, she stated that it was "Christine", asked her for her last name she stated" I'm not giving you my last name", I asked the name of the manager she refused, so then I turned to her co-worker and asked for the manager's name she stated it was Matthew but says she didn't know his last name. I asked Christine the exact address of the facility and she yells "any information you want its on the door and yells out lady I have customers behind you". In essence her behavior, attitude, was both belittling, unsettling, and unacceptable. Especially after I noticed the customer(s) after me didn't receive the same treatment to which I had experienced. Their money/credit cards was placed in their hands-unlike mine. Her mannerism with customers that proceeded me was more than welcoming, to which I realized instantly that her behavior was based on racial discrimination. Her treatment towards me was not acceptable towards a paying customer in that establishment but totally disrespectful to any human being. Since that time I have contacted the facility trying to reach out to the manager to inform him of the chain of events that took place on this morning but an employee states he was not in the office, therefore this is first of many steps that I will be taking in regards to making a formal, written complaint in regards of the incident that transpired on today.

Conspiracy , fraud and discrimination against a minority senior citizen small business owner
This is a civil and criminal crime and conspiracy against a senior citizen and a minority small business owner by M & I Bank and TradeCor Desert Sky II a Commercial developer. I have all the documents to prove all of below.
1) In December 2007 M & I Bank sold us a SWAP loan to refinance our business which we did not understand. My wife and I trusted them because M & I Bank convinced us that our monthly payments would remain constant irrespective of the market interest rate.
2) Our monthly payments were never constant and M & I Bank admitted that our note was inputted incorrectly in their system.
3) After two years of complaining to M & I Bank trying to get our money back, Mr. Eric Anders of M & I bank decided to break off relations with us and gave us until May 31st 2010 to refinance or sell our business.
4) In January 2010 Mr. Perry Mann owner of TradeCor Desert Sky II suddenly comes to our location and make us an offer of $1.250M. We reject his offer. Mr. Parry Mann said that M & I Bank is willing to sell him our notes at $1.25M. We mention this to Mr. Eric Anders of M & I Bank and he had no comments.
5) Due to pressure from M & I Bank, we approached Wells Fargo for refinance. Wells Fargo started our loan process offering us an SBA 7A loan. M & I bank agreed to take $1.9M and write off the rest to compensate us for excess funds taken from us.
6) Wells Fargo requested M & I bank for the payoff statement to finalize the lending process.
7) Once M & I bank found out that our loan with Wells Fargo was going through, they sent a payoff statement to Wells Fargo for $2.4M thus stopping our refinance of the SBA 7A loan. (This loan had a limit of $2.0M)
8) Few weeks later M & I Bank sells our note to Mr. Perry Mann of TradeCor Desert Sky II for $1.25M. This proves the conspiracy and gross discrimination against us.
7) Mr. Perry Mann after successfully buying all our notes for $1.25M puts us immediately in Trustee Sale.
8) Until the last day before filing for Chapter 11 we begged him to take the same offer of $1.9M that we were giving to M & I Bank thus making him a clean profit of $700, 000, but he refused.
9) After filing for Chapter 11 Mr. Jeff Pevone a commercial real estate agent calls my son Sonny threatens him that if we do not hand over our business to Mr. Perry Mann we will face consequences.
10) Three days before the creditors meeting in the bankruptcy court I get ruthlessly assaulted by four young adults (asking me to give our station to the rightful owner) and I end up losing vision in my right eye.
11) I attend the bankruptcy court hearing with burses in a wheel chair along with my wife
12) In the bankruptcy court. We were humiliated by Mr. Perry Manns attorney when (under oath) he asked us in a derogatory manner if knew English. This is a serious violation of our civil rights and we consider this racial profiling.
13) We had our business appraised by one of the most leading appraisal company, and they appraised our business for over $3 M.
14) We now have a lender after doing their due diligence is willing to lend up to $2.3M to get us out of chapter 11.
15) Suddenly Mr. Perry Manns attorney has comes up with their own appraisal of $2.1M and is asking the bankruptcy court to hand over our business to them. Perhaps Mr. Perry Mann and his attorneys do not realize that there is no lender in this economy that will lend $2.3M for a business that is only worth 2.1M.
16) On November 16th 2010 after attending a hearing in the bankruptcy court room #702, as I stepped outside with my family and my lawyer, after the court proceedings were completed, Mr. Howard Meyers screamed at me with his finger pointing in my face that he was going to bring me down". He further threatened that he was going to take my condominium in California and make sure that I lost everything I owned personally.
All the events listed above clearly prove that this is a conspiracy against us. My family and I have suffered tremendously for last 16 months. My wife, my two sons (19 & 25) and I are all on heavy antidepressant drugs. We still get abusive and threaten phone calls from unknown numbers.
I being a senior citizen suffer from weak heart. With all this injustice against me and my family I feel my heart will not stand the undue pressure for very long.
M & I Bank and TradeCor Desert Sky II should be bought to justice and held responsible for our mental, emotional and physical setbacks.

I went to the Shell station which also has a convenience store on Friday, November 12th at approximately 3:50pm to get gas. I pulled up to the pump and I noticed after I started fueling that the pump was leaking so I turned it off. I went inside and the employee at the time said to just move to another pump. I said that he should probably check on the pump because it was leaking quite a bit and I wasn't even sure much if any gas was going in. So he did come out and he looked at the spot on the ground and said something like "how much do you want?". (I hadn't even been thinking this at the time) but I said "well, the price of what I pumped, I guess". The total was something like $1.69 and he said that there wasn't that much gas on the ground and he was annoyed. So I said I wouldn't come there any longer and that I was going to report him. He said "go ahead" so that is what I am doing. I am not going to that gas station again and I have told my friends not to go there as well. I live close by so it is a gas station that is in my neighborhood but it is off my radar as far as I am concerned.

I went to the Cloverdale Shell yesterday to see about getting a new bulb for my headlights on a 1995 Ford Taurus. I have had problems before with this station where they price things differently if a woman brings a car in for repairs, but what happened yesterday was truly egregious and above and beyond. When I asked the clerk on due who's name is Victor according to the receipt he said that the gas contained ethanol. I informed him there were no signs his responce was someone must have taken them.
