Hello, my name is siavash amouzadeh, on december 24, 2016 my girlfriend and I walked in to the shoppers drug mart - eglinton square store number: 827 to purchase makeup for her. We were greeted and helped by one of the cosmeticians who was very helpful and helped my girlfriend ewa with all her questions and concerns. Unfortunately the foundation she wanted was not in stock. However, that is not the concern. The main reason for this complaint is due to the fact that while we were about to leave our contact with the cosmetician that was helping us another employee name sherid came from nowhere and stated we had to purchase an item as the cosmetician that was helping us had "missed her break" and also if a cosmetician does a full face makeup it is mandatory to purchase an item. Number 1, she did not get a full facial number 2, she was not told this, number 3, her approach and tone was very rude and unprofessional. This upset both my girlfriend and I to the point that I may never shop at another shoppers drug mart and inform as many people as we know about the incident.
russel stovers chocolates / staff response
We recently purchased a box of Russel Stover's cherry chocolates from Shoppers Drug Mart at the Kendalwood plaza in Whitby, Ontario. When I got home and opened the box I noticed that the a row of the chocolates had been damaged and the liquid had leaked on to the paper covering. The liquid was dry and solid so this would have happened at an earlier date in the products life. Since it was only a $5.99 purchase we thought we would keep it and just eat the rest. After sampling the chocolates we realized they were old and the liquid had begun to crystallize. When I took it to the store for a refund (didn't want a replacement since they would have all been from the same lot) I was met with hesitation about a refund. First I was told that it was only some melted chocolate and it wouldn't harm me and then when I told the clerk to open it and look at the damage she told me she wouldn't give me a refund because we had eaten a couple of the chocolates. A manager was called in (this all happened with a long linkup of customers behind me) and there was still balking at providing a refund. It wasn't until began to get angry at the fact that unless I had tried the product I wouldn't know that it was stale and unacceptable. After that, and only because there was a long linkup they finally gave me my money back. My wife and I have been long time customers of Shoppers but this incident has made me rethink my loyalty to your operation. I will be visiting another pharmacy from this point on.

wedgy for the bed, not returnable
Date: December 16, 2016: On Dec. 1st, 2016 I bought my Husband a bed Wedgy for our bed, as he was coming out of the hospital and he figured he would need one, as he could not lay down straight. My friend and I went to Shoppers Drug Mart
and I purchased one for $89.99, but I got a Seniors discount of $18.00, which total I paid $80.63. Before I took it up to the front to pay, I specifically asked the Manager if I can bring this back, if he could not use it. She said, and I quote "yes." She never mentioned that I could not take the celophane off or anything. My friend will attest to this also. We both made sure that I could bring it back. Brought it home and took it out of the celaphane and put it on the bed, as my Husband was coming home that afternoon. He took one look at it and said "no". He now has to lay down straight. Took it back and I was told I could not return it, as it had the celophane off of it. I explained it to the Health Manager and Store Manager. No way could I return this, even after explaining to them that the policy of the removed celophane was never told to me. I am out now $80.00 and I am mad. I am going to write this to our local newspaper and have it say Buyer be aware. I am a senior and this has cost me a lot, as I do not get very much pension.
701 sheppard avenue east pharmacist
Hi,
Today at approximately 12:15 p.m. I walked into shopper drug mart at 701 Sheppard avenue east to ask whether I was at the right place for my doctor appointment. The pharmacist there was absolutely disgusting towards my inquiry. He proceeded to scold me for "not knowing where to go", and continued making awful remarks. He then concluded with telling me my doctor has moved (which, she has not!) and would not stop giving me awful looks as I searched the directory.
This pharmacist is a 50 ish year old male, Caucasian, somewhat chubby with a full head of grey hair.
I observed how he treated other individuals. Mind you, this is a PHARMACY where the ill come for their medication. This behaviour was absolutely alienating and offensive, let alone rude and unprofessional.
I would like an update on what will be done about this station. I have reported this individual to my doctor and the LifeLabs staff at 701 Sheppard avenue so they can let their patients know to purchase their medicine elsewhere.

On December 12th I had an employee named Teresa at tge Orillia Ontario Canada location blatently tell me that there was to many packages to look through and to come back tomorrow when me packages said i could pick up that day. Very disappointed that the employee told me to pretty much go away and come back tomorrow. She was extremely rude about it and i do not believe she should be working in a place where she deals with so many customers on a daily basis
security guard accused me of stealing
It happened on Dec.10 2016 Saturday at around 7 pm at Shoppers Drugmart St. Vital Mall. I bought a bottle of soda and when I exited the store the alarm came off and the guard came to me and asked me if I could empty my pockets.
After I did and there was nothing, the guy asked me if I took some cosmetics.
I said no and then he called the manager.The manager said that maybe it was my FOB, so the guard took my FOB and held it between the alarm and nothing happens.I walked right through the alarm and it did not set off. They said that I am clear and I could leave.They should have apologized to me before I left but they did not! I felt very embarrassed and harassed with what the Guard did! The Worst Customer Service Ever!

Somehow on monday dec 5 my family doctor without my knowledge was able to pull a prescription that was not under his penship it was a treatment plan by another specialist.
I have been trying to get an answer as to how this has managed to occur but my first attempt resulted in being hung up and my second attempt the pharmacist did a phony i got to look at the original script and i have yet to receive a call back.
This action is illegal as i have not consulted with my family doctor over this manner and its not his script. I figure i will file my complaint here for others to see as your store atyonge and sheppard does not want to deal with me on the telephone

SDM at 2945 Jacklin Rd the pharmacy is falling apart orders laying all over the place staff quiting just not professional any longer. It's amazing you guys at head office are allowing employees to go through this type of work environment. In all my previous 23 yrs in the drug store business I have never seen a company not step in and fix this. That is why other store are taking your rx customers away.
being falsely accused of theft
I am writing this letter because as of today I have been banned from the Shoppers Drug Mart in Sault Ste. Marie on Second line. I have been falsly accused of theft. I go here to pick up my prescriptions for anxiety and walk around to wait for them. I do not steal nor have I ever been accused of it. I was humiliated and when my boyfriend went in to talk to the manager because I was in tears and sick to my stomach by this humiliation, he was apparently on a conference call. I don't know if this is because of my racial background as a native American or what. But if I stole then why were the cops not called and why could I not see the video surveillance. Was there any proof I stole and a shortage? Why was I just told this now? I told the manager it could not possibly be me. I am filing this complaint to make sure something is done as this is false defamation of character. I will also be telling everyone I know about this and will be writing the paper and getting a lawyer is this is not corrected. I am in complete shock and this has only added to my anxiety.

I'm a big fan of Shoppers Drug Mart I always wait till I hit my Max in points in purchase large item things when they have the bonus cash your points days. But I've noticed that when they have these days and they say spend $95, 000 get $40 back in points but big item purchases is actually $30 more then if you were to purchase it on a regular day. As I realized when I took a picture of the Canon camera that I was interested in purchasing was on for $330 on the cash your points event. This week the exact same camera is listed for $300.00 in the flyer. It's not really a savings when the price goes up just because it's cash your points day. You're not really getting the extra. I've noticed this with other items to price always seems to go up on those days when you cash points stating that you get all these extra points back on your points card. Hmm seems like a little bit of false advertising there. So anyone out there waiting for these special days to cash your points in you may just well cash them in when your ready without all the extra lineups and trying to hit the stores at opening hours to make sure you can get your item. Also the hard drive so I bought last year turned out to be 30 to $40 more than purchasing it at Staples Just saying!
incompetent pharmacist service
Today which is dec 1st at 8|30 am I rushed to my Shoppers at Rockwood Mall in Mississauga. My daughter was having problems breathing. She needed a puffer.
My daughter only needs a puffer when she has a cold and my last blue puffer was expired. The person I dealt with was Mikita. I spent half my day tracking the doctor who did not open until 10 am...I was late for work and dropped off my daughter to school hoping that they would call me when it was in.
No one called. The doctors office had failed to send the fax back promptly as they did not realise the urgency. However Shoppers was told as I ask them for anything else that could help her breath temporarily. The person I dealt with was Mikita.
When I got the doctor on the phone he could not believe that the drug store did not give you one. I spoke to several other mothers who said the same thing happened to them and their drug store allowed them one in view of the situation.
I am afraid that if I continue with this drug store that I am putting our health in danger. I hope no other mother has to go through what I went through today.
clear care contact solution
2 weeks ago i purchased the new clear care contact solution from your aurora branch at golf links and yonge st. This new product was on sale and i thought i would give it a try. For some reason after wearing my contacts. my vision became very foggy. At the store i was told i could not exchange for the regular solution because i didnt have the bill. I showed the transaction on my mastercard website ...and the manager still refused to help me. I will no longer be shopping at this location until get a credit for $17 dollars. Let ne know if you can help me out. If not I will be contacting mastercard and will soon be refusing to pay them. I left the defective product at your store.

Good afternoon,
This is the second complaint regarding the poor quality of service in the Postal Services department of the Oromocto New Brunswick Store today at 1605hrs. My husband and I use Postal Services frequently for shipping and receiving of products and have had to deal with one particular member of your staff who absolutely refuses to retrieve packages the same day when we have missed the post man at our home and she always snipes and recites policy about waiting until after 1300hrs the following day. The other two members of staff will provide us with packages the same day. I understand there is a line up as we too had waited 15mins at that point and it is Christmas but I also do know that all undelivered packages are returned to Shoppers at 1400hrs. A staff member's inability to manage their time is not my problem and I am extremely frustrated with this particular member of staff who conveniently has a worn out name tag making it difficult to get her name and her lack of customer service skills. Across Canada I have never had any problem receiving packages the same day after I missed the home delivery and again the other two staff members at the Oromocto location give us the packages same day. Enough is enough. Please address this matter and use resources such as people with disabilities who could do the task of check in and placing on shelves, if staffing is an issue. Oromocto (OTEC) has superb highly functioning disabled people who can do this task and their wages are subsidized by the Canadian Government. Not to mention it would be good PR for Shoppers for participating in the community.

Whitby (910 Dundas St W) location. I was inquiring if the store carried a product. The lady on the phone advise they did not carry the product, when I asked if it could be ordered or if it was just this store that doesn't carry it, she just said "I don't know, you can call around." So I asked if she could find out if it can be ordered and she said "I guess I can make calls." Took my phone number and hung up on me in the middle of me trying to give my name. I felt it very rude, and I am sitting here wondering if she is going to call me back. My intent wasn't even for her to call other stores, I was simply wondering if her store could order it. Yet her lack of customer service lead her to believe otherwise.

Hi I'm writing to complain about the Pharmacy Owner Jerry Ip. I asked him about this vitamin D tablet. All he did was checkhart to see if the pills that I am currently taking would have any effects to it. He was rude when I asked him more questions and he didn't provide me with any detailed information about how to take these supplements. Well what happened is Itook the prescribed dosage 3 times per day... and it nearly killed me. I had to go to the hospital because I fainted at work and had a stroke. They said I had an overdose. Because the blood from my heart to my brain wasn't flowing as much. Last night I went to buy milk at shoppers drug mart and I am surprised to see the milk self empty
No milk? And this is happy since last six months
They are not maintaining the inventory
I am buying lot of milk all year round since 2014
And I do not have any problem. I can get any type of milk at any time and last six month it's frequently happening
Is it management change? Are they save money by maintaining lower inventory

I had went to the gala on Saturday with my daughter in law and made a purchase close to $100.00 and had a amazing time. Towards the end we received a package which contained some mascara and other stuff that was mentioned by one of the girls that worked there. Next day I opened up the gift bag and found nothing in it except for tissue paper, so I called the store and was advised they will get back to me. So that evening I went to pick up my medication and some other stuff and I found 2 teddy bears that were on sale for $3.99. So I asked the sales agent if that was the correct price and she verified by saying no. the manager that was working there hurt herself and couldn't finish the job. so i questioned her about the code of conduct and she called her manager Darrin and was advised they will not sell for $3.99 and they were for $24.99 and I said I would buy it for that price and another sales agent came by and picked up both of the teddy bears and took them to the back store room. I also picked up some coke and Pepsi for .99 and when I went to pay was told the coke is on for 2.99 and Pepsi and 7-up for was .99. I was upset and said i will not buy the coke and will get everything else. So on Monday Nov 7 went back to get vitamins and flu shot for my daughter in law as we all got them the day before. The manager approached me in the isle and said that his employees feel that i was difficult with them and at the Gala i was very pushy and pudding in. which was not the truth at all. I was so embarrassed as other customers walking by and listening. I am a very generous person and spend a lot of money at this drug store. I was go there and the girls give me make up tips and other help, but i was in tears by the time I got to my car. I even asked the manager to check his video s to see if i was abusing anyone or pushing. I was really having a good time. I dont even know how to describe in words how this manager made me feel. I asked him to confront me with his employees and he said he did not want to put them in danger as if I am a criminal. I have worked hard all my life and so did my husband. we had no hand downs from anyone and raised our 3 boys with pride. Darrin the manager has no manager skills and to pull me to aside in a shopping Isle and telling me that I have issues with his employees. I have been shopping here since it opened and never had a issue with any of the employees. Darren as I was leaving said it is my decision if I wanted to come back to shop. He gave me the impression that he does not want me or my family there. I am so disappointed and felt so small and disgraced. I felt like my mind was numb and could not believe what happened to me. I am not looking for anything, but no one should be treated the way I was treated.

while I were shopping today at 11:10 am, a staff member (I have her name) came to me after I put me phone in my bag and said to me Did you put something in your bad ? . whaaaaat ! I said it was my phone . she made me feel soooo bad and I said to her you already have camera everywhere why should you ask people like that ? she said I have to ask before you go .
I am pretty sure there are many ways to protect your store but no asking people ( your clients ) did you take something or not .
To feel like I was suspected, It is miserable .
I used to go to shoppers day after another to buy all my cosmetics products and all my daughter's sweets, Now I will never go there again, I had a very bad experience .
I have never seen any situation like this in any store in Canada .

cosmetics department - promotional items
I have been purchasing my cosmetics and beauty products from Shoppers for many years because it's convenient, in my neighbourhood and not overpriced. I spend upwards of $1000 per year on beauty products alone - for myself and as gifts. My individual purchases average approximately $150 - $200 per visit and mainly consists of Elizabeth Arden Products. Every Shopper's Drug Mart normally offers a free promotional product whenever I make a purchase . However, EVERY TIME I make a purchase at the Shopper's Drug Mart on Brookdale Avenue in Cornwall, Ontario, I am NEVER offered anything. I've started to ask recently if there are any promotional items. Sometimes I get a direct "no, we don't have any promotions on at the moment." The last two times I asked, I was told "well, let me take a look ... ". On Thursday, November 3, when I inquired, the person serving me said that yes, there was a promotion starting on Saturday, November 5 and she would give me the gift (I had just purchased $280.00 worth of beauty products). Sure enough she gave me a cute little cosmetic bag with some items inside. When I got home and looked at it, it had 4 Prevage items in the bag, but the lipstick and the perfume that were supposed to be in there were missing. This is the second time that I've received "promotional items" that have been obviously picked through by the staff. Did she think I wouldn't notice? This is very unprofessional to say the least and though I've given this particular store more chances than I should have - I'm done now. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I live very close to Montreal and Ottawa where there always seems to be a very generous promotion gift policy. You've lost a very good customer.

I bought 1 pack of condom and when I opened I realised that one pack is little tear so I did' t use and came back to store and want exchange with other brand.. First there was no mod and the time was just 6 pm. The cashier were start argueing me its open you will call manefechurer direct and another one join him and start argueing me.. I told them I just want to exchang and every store will do to care his customer but argueinggggg.. I said ok can I talk to manager than they said she was here while ago and she said to us dont return.. You will come monday and talk to her means our bosss.. I left my name and number and condom pack with receipt and told them when she will be free ask her to call me.. And buy another brand condom and left I am sure this would be my last shopping with shopper drug mart.. Lost custumer for life.
Atleast oprations hours someone who knows how to talk good way with customers and if the managers were there while ago why she she did't talk to me or employe lied to me etc. Hopefully you guys will take this complaint seriously..
