service / employment
One of the only factors towards me trying to be a manager at sonic in lake city FL. Is because my 4 month old son had s heart defect and requires extensive surgery that comes with expensive after care. Upon my being hired I explained that my full time job was a carpenter 40 hrs a week 12hr. So since was part time and I was training very hard. Note that I am an exceptional worker. Usually early. Taking extra shifts and tasks. The GM Mrs. Angela played with my schedule quite alot I usually called to double check the schedule. Until I discovered that managers only make 10hr full time. Well my 2 jobs give me 1100-1200 a week. So it was obvious from the start. So I let Angela know that I was staying just to help her out. I work like a manager but am a common employee. Rare to find. Well she began bring her family in to work. Her daughter Felisha was manager in under 90 days. Her niece is a minor working there, her best friends she lives with is an unqualified assistant manager then you have her son who just turned 18 and had an issue that complicates his ability to work there. Then there's her husband who as well as the rest have a different last name to stay off the radar. Who got robbed along with his wife Mrs Angela . He is very unstable, verbally, physically and mentally abusive openly. He also asks customers to keep the tips. The other managers informed me of her trying to let me go because I got hired to be the manager her daughter didn't want to. Once that changed I offered to put my two weeks in. She was Andy explaing that both assistant managers were needing to be replaced. So I stayed to help as a make shift manager. Got 30-35 hrs a week. So both jobs total 70-75hr a week. A ride a bike every day 7 days a week to commute. I don't just miss work or show up late, as little I made it was still monumental for my son. I got fired by her through someone else with her standing in front of me. Because I was a no call no show. The entire shift knows I don't do things like that, I started a new schedule recently from Wed. - Sunday 5-close. I checked the schedule Sunday and it was the same. Come Tuesday I was no call no show. Every single appointment for my son if made clear with both jobs. So I couldn't have known my schedule because I don't come in on my day off. I haven't even had a written up. I was done very wrongly and I just want my job back. My son depends on my ability to produce revenue.
service, food quality
I waited over 10 minutes to even place my order, while others who arrived after me were served first. I waited an additional 15 minutes to get the food. The hot dog was a mess, the burger was cold, the cheese wasn't even melted in it. The fries were cold and covered in way too much salt. I was not pleased at all. Everytime I attempt to order food here, it is always a sloppy mess.
waited nearly an hour for ice cream before leaving, with no ice cream
My name is Jan Milbradt. I am a 65 year old grandmother who is very unhappy with the service (or should I say no service) I received from the El Dorado, KS sonic.
On May 13, 2018 at 9:08 pm I pushed the button to order a sonic blast at 9:25 they finally answered. When asked what took so long they said they were extremely short handed. I ordered and they said it wold take awhile for me to get my order. I asked how long and they said 5-10 minutes. I said ok and waited...and waited and waited. Finally I left at 9:48 and never did get my ice cream.
The same thing happened last night when my husband ordered ice cream, except that it only took about 20 minutes before he received his. 20 minutes is still to long to wait for 1 item.
chicken sandwich and service.
I came through the drive in commerce ga between 7-8 pm on may 13th. Which was Mother's Day. I ordered a #9 Crispy with only ketchup. Get home and it's got everything on it. Ok. No big deal. I drive back up there and let them know so I can get it fixed. I let the lady know it was supposed to be only ketchup on it. I waited and once she handed a new one I got in my car to check it. I was shocked to find that I had a handful of ketchup. I wasn't even sure there was a sandwich there. If I had wanted that much ketchup I literally could have ask for a bottle. It was ridiculous. I once again took it back, let her know I was not pleased and I wanted it made fresh and completely plain at this point. I know it wasn't her fault as she wasn't the one making it. But something needs to be done. If this is just kids trying to be a smart you know what it's not ok. I work in food everyday. I'm really not happy about this and I want to be contacted to see what can be done. I hate to be one to complain and normally I wouldn't. But I do feel like this was intentional and someone was trying to be smart.
full service
First of all, I ordered a vanilla Fanta and the girl obviously had no clue how to ring it up... she told me I had to mix my vanilla Fanta with something, after 5 tries we finally got that right. I ordered a supersonic burrito which they put bacon in and was the worst wrap job I've ever seen, also terribly greasy. My new burrito was better wrapped but instead of having scrambled eggs, I had one huge fried egg that fell out of the bottom. Manager wasn't professional at all, wearing way too short of shorts and hardly communicated at all. She didn't even apologize for the mistake. Before saying I have no idea what goes on in the kitchen or what it takes to work at sonic... I worked at sonic for 5 years and we were an extremely busy sonic that made it to the sonic games every year. There's no excuse for the poor service or food I received today. I will never be back. I'd drive 45 minutes out of my way to Rossville's Sonic before coming back here again. This is for the sonic at 3508 Dayton Blvd Chattanooga, TN 37415 and it was on May 13, 2018 at 11:18 am.
food
My boyfriend ordered a girlled chicken sandwhich, after eating most of it looked he realized it was goozing blood. The manager at the Sonic in San Saba TX said it's precooked, so I guess that means cooked twice (hopefully they recook the chicken before giving it to us) and there is STILL blood in it. Really? I've had food posioning from them before that's why I don't eat there.
customer service
On May 10, 2018 at 3:05pm, I pulled into the Sonic Drive-In 6206 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio, and parked in the first stall. There were 4 other cars on my side of the restaurant, and 2 vehicles in the outer parking area on the other side of the restaurant. There were two women sitting at a table outside. I made my choice and pushed the call button to make my order. I pressed the button 4 or 5 times in the course of 10 minutes. No one acknowledged my presence. I backed out and pulled into the drive-in order section of the restaurant. There was one vehicle which had ordered and was at the pick up window. There was no line, and I was in front of the speaker for ordering. I waited another 10 minutes waiting for acknowledgement, even honking my horn, trying to get someone's attention. While I waited, no less than 5 cars pulled up in line behind me. All of them left without ordering. After 10 minutes was up, I pulled up to the pick up window. The person at the window asked me, "did you order the red slushy?" I said I did not and wanted to speak to the manager. I got out of my car and waited. A woman came to the window. I asked if she was the manager. She said she was. I explained to her about the 20 minute wait, and she told me they were a little short handed so orders would take a little longer. I noticed two other employees in the restaurant, besides the manager. I reiterated that it was not a little longer, that it was a 20 minute wait. I also told her that it would have taken 10 seconds to say, "Welcome to Sonics; we're a little short handed, but we'll be with you as soon as possible to take your order." Se apologized and said, "well, I can take your order now if you like." I ordered a hot dog, small onion ring, and small diet coke. As I waited, I could see the manager as she called out, "I need an American hotdog." After a short while, she also called out, " I still need a small fries." Since I was the only customer, I assumed that was for my order. I told her I ordered a small onion ring. "She asked if that was in addition to the small fries. I explained that I didn't order fries. Because the hot dog was on sale, my bill came to $2.93, which I paid. I took the food, asked for catsup, received a small bowl with catsup in it, returned to my car, and left.
Frankly, I find it difficult to believe that there is anything that could be going on inside a drive-thru restaurant that would justify ignoring customers for 20 minutes. Then to top it off, to get the order wrong. The most elementary manager training would emphasize keeping the customer informed.
food and drinks
5/11/2018. I went to the Sonic on 80 and beltine. it was around 9:30pm. I live in Garland, TX 75043.
It took about 3 minutes for them to get to me. (which was not a big deal because I know it is a Friday). when my food arrived my daughters fries were cold. I asked for ketchup, salt, and pepper. I didn't receive those things. she took my receipt, so I don't have a client number to use. she brought fresh fries but forgot the ketchup, so I pressed the button again and had to wait about 2 more minutes. As I was waiting on them to answer I decided to see what my strawberry ice cream shake tasted like. it was nothing but ice cream. now mind you the lady brought the wrong drinks to begin with but she had to take the fries back anyways so it wasn't a big deal.
I have worked in the fast food industry before I would never send back food. never know what they may do to it. I understand they are busy trust me I get it. I have been there before so trust me when I say that I know how it is, but I was really looking forward to that meal and it was a complete waste. the manager did refund me my money back, but he never offered to remake my food. it was getting late and I had my daughter so I couldn't stop anywhere else.
charged twice on my credit card
On 4/26/18 went through sonic drive through in Parker colorado (Lincoln and Jordan location). The cashier ran my credit card and said it was denied but I asked him to run it again and he said oh, that time it worked. I called the supervisor as I was concerned my credit card was charged double but he said if I showed him my credit card he would work with me. Well, that did not happen. When I returned to show the supervisor my statement he proceeded to argue with me and then show me his proof that I couldn't have possibly been charged twice. He then said I should just contact my credit card company. Why did he not tell me that in the first place! It was not only a waste of my time but really unprofessional to sit there and argue with me about it. Pretty upset about it. I did contact my credit card company and will be refunded that money but HORRIBLE customer service and do not intend to ever go into that sonic again!
manchester expressway; columbus ga
My husband and I went to sonic today on May 10th at about 10:20 PM. My husband started to order our food from the booth. The lady who was taking our order stop taking it in the middle of him placing the order. When he told her ma'am I wasn't finished. She said VERY RUDELY "sir there's more than 1 person taking orders what do you need?" So we decided to leave and take our money to Krystal's. Best decision ever! Sonic has VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. And no one should get treated like that especially from any business where you're spending your hard earned money. It's not fair!
found a very large hard top off the shaker machine in my husband shake
On 4/25/2018 me and my husband stopped at the local drive in located in Amarillo TX, and we place our order and it took them at least 22 Minutes to make 2 shakes which was a very long time to prep a shake. I have tried to reach out to the headquarters in OKC, only to be told there is nothing that could be done even though my husband has been very ill since this incident and not only that 3 of their male employees proceeded to come after me trying to get my drinks that had the evidence in the cup they actually left the store and blocked me from getting in my car. I will never eat at that place ever again I'm afraid next time they may really kill me since they tried it once they will try it again. The on duty manager admitted to placing the item in my husband cup so what other proof do they need I have everything on video as well as pictures even when they chased followed me out the store with my receipt in hand.
customer service-intercom system
Park Ave location, Paducah, KY. stall#9 pushed red button, finally someone asks if I need more time and it was still saying someone will be with me in a few moments and no one ever did come to speaker. After I said no one ask for order yet, she laughed and said go ahead, so I ordered. Then screen went back to push red button to activate, so I pushed it again to ask if they did in fact get my order, and the rude girl on the other end said she didn't hear it. It is by the road and I did speak very loud and I only saw one person delivering all the orders and it was a busy place, they need to hire more help if they are that covered up, I only had a small window for lunch and wasted it at your restaurant. the day was Tuesday May 8 at 12:00, I realize that is a busy time, which means they should have enough employees there to cover all areas. I really hope someone reads this and lets that location know what a terrible job they are doing, I don't normally complain, but this is a problem that should not exist. Hire more people and make sure all speakers are working properly. This was not the first time I've encountered speaker problems, I've had to completely change stalls before because the speaker didn't work at all. and that has happened at several locations in Paducah, KY
customer service drive thru
Went to the drive thru I was the only one there and they didn't have money cars to the pull up menu o waited 10mins one day before somebody actually took my order o figure maybe something happen. The next time I came it was 20 minutes. A car was back in at the menu which had a couple of
Employees with their uniform on sitting there I don't know if
They were on break or what but me and the car behind me were having an conversation about the wait which I know the employees heard us talking *I use to work at a fast food drive thru I know how the ear piece works * I prefer sonic over the other fast food international drive location but every time I go there it takes forever at least acknowledge the customers let them know it will be a minute. Instead they just have you sitting there smh I'll just go to another fast food place
food
So I went to the Sonics located at 1091 Broad Street in Sumter SC on May 6, 2018 at 9:55 pm. I ordered a 24 pc Buffalo Boneless Wings and a $2.99 Double Cheeseburger w/ Med Tots and a Lg Hi -C. I was parked for about 15 mins. When I got home with my food, I was very dissatisfied. The boneless wings were drenched in so much buffalo sauce that we couldn't even enjoy them. The tater tots box was filled half fries at the bottom and tater tots on top. We were very dissatisfied with our food.
rude service provided
When we first began to order we told the young man Jamal that we wanted our frozen blue rasberry lemonade slushes, the way he rung up the drinks looked incorrect from past experiences at different locations. So we corrected him but he told us it was the same. When our server Molli brought our food we tasted the drinks only to find they would taste as we expected (not how we wanted). We informed her they weren't what we order, she also tried to go back and forth with telling us that we were wrong. After finally getting our correct drinks, we asked for condiments and were told we could only get one ranch with our meal of two burgers and fries, we also couldnt get salsa since we didnt have burritos without paying and her attitude didnt make it any better. Ive never spent 30¢ on any sauce from sonic ever. Also the face piercings are a distraction when trying to speak with her.
E johnson sonic to be exact ^
wait time
Used the stalls to order food, after about 30 minutes after the screen said the carhop would be on its way out, and still no food. Even pressed the order button again to ask where my food still took 15 minutes to come out and half the order was still missing. After they went back in to get the rest of our food it took another 10 minutes... THEN FORGOT STRAWS.. so guess what another 5 minutes. You guys are lucky the food is OK enough to wait that long. I expect a change in the costumer experience.
Pretty sure today's date is 5/5/2018 so this cheese is also 2 months old
jolly rancher candy slush
I ordered a medium sprite hooky rancher candy slush and a few other drinks. After ordering the other drinks I changed the size to a large slush. When I got to the window they gave me a small. I asked for the large and she went and got a large. I got my driving and took off. As I drank it I noticed a large chunk of something in the bottom. After stopping, I dumped out the slush and there was a solid inch of hardened jolly rancher pieces at the bottom. Two hours later I'm feeling cramps and acid reflux. There's was definitely something wrong with my slush. I didn't even drink a 1/4 of it. This is the sonic just south of payson, AZ btw.
*jolly
staff
My food was cold and I waited 35 minutes for my food and I was the only car that was even there. I was parked on the one marked 16. The little girl with the red hair was very rude to me. Everytime I come in I usually go into the dine in and there are people back there that don't seem to actually work there and I see everyone on their phones and goofing off. Sonic has gone downhill since they got their new system change. I don't know I will ever return to this location.
service
We ordered a master blast, waffle cone and vanilla cone and literally sat waiting for half an hour before pushing button asking for an ETA. We were told they didn't have an order placed for our stall. ( However, upon placing the order we were told the amount for our order was $10.02 ) There was a bunch of young girls laughing, joking and fooling around when we were trying to speak to them the 2nd time and so I asked to speak to the manager. They hung up on me. So I pushed the button for the 3rd time since I pulled in there and never even got a response and the screen went from saying the red button had been activated to saying push the red button when ready to order. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 11 years and consider myself a reasonable person but after being treated the way your employees just treated me I am upset. I have never in 43 years of my life submitted any kind of formal complaint until now. But I felt compelled to do so. They went beyond being unprofessional, they were down right disrespectful.
quality of ordered food
ck#246281 May 4, 2018 16:30 Total order cost 20.00. Ordered Chicken sandwich meal and lg shake. Also ordered chicken strip dinner 3 pc. Comes with 1 onion ring and tater tots, lady taking order said she was leave off tater tots for a few more rings. I did not know there was a additional charge. With that it would not have been so bad if the onion rings could have been consumed. They were HARD, cold. gravy runny like water, toast someone's after thought, more than flat. The strips were luke warm. Had I been team lead I would never send out food cold and hard, and it becomes that when under the light for extended time.
Your milk shakes are out standing, however when I want food I will go somewhere else. Within a mile of us is Wendy's, Subway, McDonalds, Whataburger Pizza Hut, 1 Italian restaurant 3 separate Mexican restaurant and oh yes 1/2 further Chinese food. The carhop Elora is outstanding.
I am so disappointed in the quality that someone allowed or did not take pride in sending out. My food is going in the trash now.
