I have worked and paid into my short term disability for 29 years. After an unforseen injury and before surgery, I filed a disability claim with Sedgewick. My physician and I have filed all documents asked for from Sedgwick. After approval for my claim, I received 3 biweekly benefit payments. 1 in July, 2 in August. I am supposed to receive my next benefit on Sept.14, for period 8/26 to 9/7. Check approved and issued by Sedgwick on 9/8. Bank processed and released on 9/14. I am not receiving a biweekly payment on 9/14. I contacted Sedgwick on 9/12 at 8:28 a.m. to find out why I will not be receiving my payment. I was told by Sedgwick that my biweekly payment schedule was off. Sedgwick could not explaine to me after talking with Examiner why my payment schedule is off. I was told the next payment will be released on 9/21, after bank processes payment I should receive check in my account on 9/28. I informed Sedgwick I could not go almost a whole month with no payment, I told Sedgwick I have put in a return to work date of 9/23 and I have license plates due this week on my car and need medication and gas to return to work. At this moment I feel like she treated me as a charity case and informed me if I did not have money I could apply for charity through a fund called ACNT and insisted I write the phone number down. I did not write the number down I ended the call.
Desired outcome: Please pay my disability benefit.
