Wells Fargo do not work for this company!

I was a phone banker at wells fargo and first off, they pretty much lie to you during the interview. They try to say it is all about customer service but all the job is, is referring products and services that 90% of the time the person does not need. And they are very aggressive about it but during the 6 weeks of training you pretty much don't learn anything about the products so you are just pulling info out of your ### and if you ask for more information about anything you just get brushed off.

They have schedule "bids" where you are supposed to get to bid on a schedule before it is offered to the new hires (new training classes with 10-20 people every two weeks- should have been a huge warning sign) but the only schedules they offer the people already working there are the bottom of the barrel with the new hires having the most coveted spots.

People were getting fired around me left and right for believing information that my supervisor gave them. More than one person called in to find out if they had enough points to call in (our attendance was based on a jacked up points system) and she would tell them they had plenty only to call them later that day and say they were fired because of attendance.

We have our calls recorded and are graded on them. There was a discrepancy in our Virtual Library which is pretty much the phone bankers bible which resulted in a call of mine receiving a zero which is really bad, obviously. About 5 team leads, managers and even our centers QA expert agreed that it was mis-scored but my supervisor could not even comprehend what we were saying at all. She finally agreed to file a dispute. They next day I had to go to a meeting with my supervisor and her manager about the call and I explained what all we had discussed and said that we had filed a dispute and my supervisor looked at me like I was an idiot and said that we did not that I should have received the zero. Then two days later I walk in and get a hug and a congrats from that same supervisor because my dispute was found in my favor. The dispute that was never filed.

I finally got completely fed up and put in my two weeks and was told that I should probably leave. Knowing that if our supervisor tells us to leave in this situation they still have to pay the two weeks (she does this with everyone who quits- which is a lot of people) I try to verify that I would get paid and she said that was impossible but that I should still probably go. I had a training class for the job i had secured as a replacement in exactly two weeks and could not go without that money and had told her that upfront. I told her that if she wouldn't pay me I was staying. She was really mad. She told me that I shouldn't have put in my two weeks and I should have just left when I wanted. I explained that I was following company policy. She then tried to say I should go so I could start my job earlier and I explained for the 3rd time it didn't start for two weeks. She just got all huffy and left (early as usual) for the day soon after. I found in our handbook the policy regarding the pay situation and emailed it too her and left.

For the next 3 days i was trying to get ahold of my hr consultant only to be told that he was on leave. So I finally got ahold of his supervisor who was incredibly rude and put out that I was even talking to her. The next day I get a message on my phone that she talked to my supervisor and her manager and that my supervisor had begged me to stay and that both of them had been trying to call me everyday multiple times a day. And that I had abandoned my job and I would not be getting paid. And that I shouldn't call her back.

I did try to call her back repeatedly because I had phone records proving that no one tried to call me at all. (I did receive one call after the hr lady talked to them- full of fake concern about my well being and stating that they had been trying to get ahold of me- thru telepathy I guess).

Finally the only person in the company that seemed genuine at all, the hr consultant from the lubbock phone bank called and actually listened and within the day called me back telling me I was right and I would be getting paid. She said she had to go higher than usual because she kept getting the run around. She was amazing and I can't thank her enough.

This company is shady. I would not even recommend banking with them.

Hmmm, it seems like each of you had a bad experience, and it's understandable to be upset, but both complaints seem very irrational. You can't blame an entire company for decisions made by a select few people. In an organization with hundreds of thousands of employees (I am an employee fyi), there are so many different sectors and decisions makers on that sectors level. Your complaint should be directed towards that management sector, if you were trying to make a more rational argument. For example, I am am employee who is extremely happy and fulfilled with my job. The company and benefits are excellent. I will be brutally honest...and mean no offense, but what do you expect from a call center job really? I mean in reality, they are stressful, the demands at WF are no different than any other call center. Attendance is a high priority, AHT, call recording, shift bids, this is all standard. You just seem like you didn't like the call center environment. My advice, find a different field and stay off the phone. I personally couldn't do Call Center CS. (and yes, any call center job is going to require you to push products and services, but guess what, those products and services are what drive revenue for the company and allows them to employ you...think about it) As for you getting paid for 2 weeks and not working it...unless you have accrued PTO then you shouldn't be paid if you don't work? Why would you expect to be? And yes management will sometimes offer you the opportunity not to return on your notice, but I have never known them to force you not to, and if you want to be paid, then just stay, sure your sup may be grumpy about it, so what, it's 10 days, deal with it and you're gone. I apologize again but a lot of the details you added it seem to be just that, "add-ins" to make you're position sound better, but it highly unlikely a lot of the things you said about lies, and forcing you out, and etc by HR, that any of it is true. HR professionals are highly educated, highly paid positions, and usually are very impartial, meaning they do not typically "take sides" with management simply because they're management. Since most HR Consultants are higher in the hierarchy than most supv/managers, and higher paid. In short, they don't answer to your manager, who has no influence over their standing in the company. But in any instance, good luck with your future endeavors. Best of luck.

As for the 2nd complainant, you are completely misdirecting your complaint. WF did nothing wrong, you should be upset with your disability/insurance carrier, Metlife. They made the mistake, you just want WF to pay you for MetLife's mistakes, sorry that's not the way it works ;(

I totally agree! I work there and fing hate it... and this is why?

I was on leave from 11-13 till 12-27 (once extended) all per my doctor. However I did not receive my direct deposit for the last 2 weeks of leave. Keep in mind you only receive 65% of pay on leave, so missing a week off 2 separate checks hurts. One thing led to another and my direct deposit account received 4 overdraft fees... ($140) should have been $210 but due to funky processing I saved two! thank goodness :) With that said all 4 overdrafts were on bills, (car insurance, doctor bills... etc) not frivolous ###.

Now as to why I did not get paid... Metlife did not receive documentation from my doctor in a timely fashion (in actuality it was received 5 days prior to them canceling the claim) I also had communication with metlife during the time who assured me everything was fine. I contacted my financial institution who happens to be my work... Wells Fargo has a policy if any overdraft fees occur as the result of an irregular direct deposit. (which obviously happened) they will reverse the fees as a bank error.

NOW why Im really pissed...

After speaking to my Manager--who informed me that no they could not do anything for me and that I needed to call the phone bank and act as a customer & my HR manager told me to call employee assistance counseling...wtf? I preceded to check all my options by calling our HR department who informed me (and I quote) "Since its my personal doctor its my personal problem!" Are you serious? I then spoke to the executive office and was hung up on. Now keep in mind I still do not have my check and I am out $140.00 (UPDATE amount is now up to 600.00 ) for something I could have not controlled. grrrrr (had I had the money when I was supposed to it wouldnt have made it up to 600.00 either. PS I havent had an overdraft in over 10 years!

I am so disappointed in not only my financial institution but the company I work for, the company I personally have made up to $200, 000 for and they cannot reverse $140.00. Now tell me how you can work and make money for a company that obviously does not care about their customers or their employees? I do not want to represent a company that in all honesty doesn't care about their customers.

Wells Fargo never again!

I bought some Lazy Boy furniture because it came with an 18 month SAC financed through Wells Fargo. I made payments enough to pay it off in the 18 months. Unfortunately I also used a portion of the "credit line" for other purchases. I made payments enough to pay off the furniture but Wells Fargo applies your payments however they want. I even made a large payment over $1000 which was supposed to be applied against the Lazy Boy account. They applied it to the credit card instead. Then they hit me for the finance charges on the furniture. So the SAC program with them is a bogus scam. Don't Fall For It! Their website allows you to make a payment but you cannot direct it towards what they call a "sub" account. And you can't check your account balance or see how your payments were applied. There also isn't a place on your statement to show that you can direct any over-payment to one account versus the other. I'll never do business with them again. Think maybe I will go to CitiFinancial.

We applied for a Consumer Credit Loan with Wells Fargo through a local Mattress Giant outlet. We took it out only because of the "No Interest" promo if regular monthly payments were made and the loan was paid off within a specified amount of time. Everything was fine for the first ten months, the in October on 2009 they changed their account number system from a 9-digit number to a 16-digit number. We received one last statement in October of 2009, and now it has hit the fan. First we received a call on a Saturday when the November payment was 6 days late, basically demanding a payment in excess of two months minimum payment to "bring the account current". But we had already accrued a $39.00 late fee. This was supposedly waived as a courtesy by the phone rep, but I have nothing in hand to indicate this is the case. We have still not received a current statement since Oct. 10th of 2009. The phone representatives are inconsiderate and surly, and their pat line is "the statements were mailed out" and they have no reports of any statements being returned to them. I have received every other piece of mail I expect: mortgage statements, car payment notices, utility bills, other credit cards, all with NO PROBLEMS except for Wells Fargo. The account was opened in my wife's name, but she is now ill and takes medication that has her going to sleep at 4 in the afternoon, so I have been trying to deal with Wells Fargo. First she had to authorize me with them to discuss anything, which I understood, but when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told only the account holder could ask for a supervisor. I woke my wife in the evening here on the East coast to call them before they closed, as they're not open on the weekends. When she got a supervisor on the line and tried to authorize me to speak to them, he told her that he could only talk to the account holder and that if she put anybody else on the line, he would disconnect the call. We tried to have a three sided discussion while my wife was woozy from the medication she takes, and this "supervisor" would only say the problem was at our end and Wells Fargo did everything they are supposed to do, ie: mailed the statements. When we asked for copies of the missing statements, we were told we had to write a letter to the Billing Department. Couldn't even call them and ask for them. Their web site is a joke, only allows you to make a payment. So info as to due dates, minimum amount due, balance owing, nothing! You are totally at the mercy of the paper statements, which are still not coming. I am going to my local State Attorney General's office and the BBB on Monday to lodge formal complaints. Hopefully it will do some good. In the meantime I intend to tell everybody I talk to everywhere I go, grocery store, gas station, work, Walmart, everywhere, how terrible it is to do business with this insult of a "consumer" finance company. BEWARE and DO NOT GET INVOLVED with WELLS FARGO.

I currently have a mortgage on my home with Wells Fargo. I asked about refinancing to a lower rate and they said they would. After paying them for an appraisal and their fees, they have done nothing but find lame excuses to delay and deny refinancing a loan I already have with them. Wells Fargo an un-merry christmas

I have an auto loan for this pos I bought in kentucky before I pcsed to california with the army. I have paid on time, everytime, until I initiated a voluntary repossess.
So after it's in voluntary repossess, they draft 2 extra payments through my bank's webbillpay (actually my fault, as I didnt know the payments were slotted) but the problem is, wells fargo took both payments, and wouldnt give them back. after spending all of my daytime minutes being transferred and disconnected, i'm told, "if you are going to have this voluntarily repossessed, we aren't going to refund the last payment". verbatim.
This is the week before christmas mind you, and I have $.37 in the bank because of it. I said, "ok, I take back the voluntary repossess." just because I really need that money.
Again and again I tried. finally after being told it was being handled by her manager, and he was out sick, I called a different department, and low and behold, this guy said "oh man, we gotta fix that." told me right there after 5 mins exactly what was missing from my bank's fax to them regarding the payment, and then hand carried it to refunds with me on the phone. he tried to overnight it to me, get it wired back into my account, everything he could, but it has to be a cashier's check via snail mail. I thanked him and hung up.
I have been in my barracks room eating army chow for 2 weeks because of this. cancelled christmas plans, all of it. the point is, if this guy, who isn't a manager can get the payment at least sent out in 20 minutes, why did I call every day for a week, and actually accept an ultimatum from this bank?! of course it took another week, and arguing/fax/refax/explain and another manager

I could tell you i'm furious. I won't. i'll say this;
I have filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, (the reason I tried to have it voluntarily repossessed before). so as soon as I cashed the check I drove the car to the nearest wells fargo parking lot, *coughtookoutalittlefrustrationonitcough* and then took the key inside to the vice president of that bank. it was funny, here she is the vice president of one of their branches, and she's getting put on hold, having to repeat the situation, transferred, etc. so in the end, I hope wells fargo appreciates the depreciation I enjoyed in the parking lot. enjoy your new kia!

Wells Fargo is the only institution that is more criminal than the government. They don't
give a Rat's ### about customer needs, complaints, even our money. They are flat out
incompetent, read everything off of script on phone. They even loss are lock box in a very
small banking center. Never modify loans, they are the cheating-est Moher ###ers on the
planet.

I highly recommend you take your money out of that bank and free yourself from the anxiety that so many americans have bought into thinking that they need banks in order to conduct themselves in society. Just ask yourself .. Do you wake up in the morning and wonder if ALL your money is still there.? Tell you what I do... I leave $100 in the bank and take the rest with me. the more you have in the bank the more you are going to lose sleep over... Let me know what happens.

DIRECT DEPOSIT NOT BEING POSTED SAME DAY. It's Friday 11:30pm and noticed my Direct Deposit is still pending. I called Wells Fargo Bank and the rep tells me "my Direct Deposit will NOT be cleared until the next morning, Saturday, at 8:00am." WFB used to clear/post direct deposits by 9 or 10am and ATM deposits at 7 or 8pm the day it's received. I see they're having their customers pay for their million dollar lawsuit for holding withdraws and posting them from highest to lowest before posting deposits.

I am a disgusted Wells Fargo customer as well. My husband and I looked at our ledger this morning via the on-line banking and were not especially shocked to learn that this corrupt, greedy, evil banking system moved several of our transacations that were previously posted back into the pending category. We know that they did this because we have an electronic check payment coming through our account. By moving many of the posted transactions back into pending, they can go ahead and pay the electronic check first and then pay all 10 of the pending transactions in overdraft, creating a $35.00 fee for each debit charge resulting in $350.00 gain for their coffers. My husband and I are moving our direct deposits and closing our checking account with WF because they are "legally" stealing from us and quite frankly, we can't afford to do business with them anymore. They have successfully stolen about $5000.00 from us over a 3 year period. Why did we stay with them? Well, for a long time we thought it was our fault and we did our best to try to understand how the on-line ledger worked (an impossible feat as it is inaccurate and misleading.) After a while, we became supicious and realized it's not us, it's them - they are literally stealing from us. Banking with Wells Fargo has really hurt us financially. We only make enough money to pay our bills and the overdraft fees that we are frequenty charged have forced us to take out three payday loans and use the Wells Fargo Direct Depost Advance option; further indebting us and making us more likely to fall prey to their immoral transaction and credit reordering. I encourage anyone and everyone banking with WF to move your accounts ASAP. Even if you have enough money to not be a WF victim, wouldn't you have a problem banking with an institution that steals from customer's who can least affort it? I appeal to anyone who cares about corporate greed when I say that WF is an evil instituion. Don't do business with an organization that will put its greed over the lives of its customers. WF needs to go away because of immoral practices. Help make this happen by ceasing your realtionship with them like my husband and I are going to do immediately.

I am a Wells Fargo employee and have been for over eight years. I hate Wells Fargo. They chew people up and spit them out. They push the almighty sales to see how much they can get out of people and when they can't get anymore they turn their backs. I only work for the company because I need the insurance. The people that work at the customer contact level are bullied by superiors, pushed to choose keeping your job and working extra time (but we don't want to pay overtime wink wink) because as they put it each and everyone of us low lifes is easily replaceable. If you get close to make a goal they raise it to make sure they don't have to paythe people who actually work, a bonus, mean while most customer service level employees earn little enough they qualify for government subsidies. Why? So the geniuses up above can pay themselves millions and give themselves even more millions in stock options. I am not talking about an isolated area. i have worked in different regions and for different managers and it is a wide spread greed. Anyone above who you see in the branch is earning a minimum of 5 times as the person who actually is helping yo. Thats a conservative number for the low level non-customer service people and it gets worse. The sad thing is they threaten and push and want more so they can give themselves raises meanwhile they will raise the goals for the people who are putting in all they have because if they don't meet their goals they don't get a raise (no such thing as cost of living), no bonuses even if you have closed 2 million in loans in the last month and they can keep you on probation and fire you at any time on a whim. They keep wanting more, don't have any solutions on how to get it, have a list of what they want every day and how much time to be spent on it which literally adds up to 10+ hours. This schedule does not include actually helping customers, there is no time scheduled for customer service unless you can sell them something in the process.

Sub: Formal Demand to Close Accounts, Effective Immediately ( hidden )

To whom it may concern,

I XXXXXXX, am herby demanding that my accounts be closed, effective immediately . The reason that I am taking this action is because of the unacceptable policies that are being utilized at my expense, and I am literally fed up with your " Greedy " Business Practices " . In my banking experiences - over the past thirty years, dealing with many other financial institutions, I have never encountered the amount of problems with overdraft fees that are constantly reoccurring with my checking account . The practice of your credit /debit posting practices are " Shady " at best . An example of this, is posting debits on a holiday ( A Non Banking Business Day ) and not posting the credits that were pending also, until the next day, another example is the shuffling of transactions from the order in which they occur to maximize overdraft fees, another example is the way your computers post account data ( not accurate at any given time ) designed to confuse the customer, with your continual overdraft trap, designed to gouge your customers . I find this practice to be horrendous and despicable . A bank is supposed to be working in my best interest, and not lurking in the shadows of deception, waiting to pilfer the customer at their earliest convenience, it is a matter of ethics and scruples, really ...

Wells Fargo should be ashamed, and should be nominated to the "' Hall of Shame " . I have a question for Wells Fargo ? " If the money isn't in the account, Then why aren't the transactions denied ?" It seems that your computers are programmed to build revenue - In Wells Fargo's favor, at the customer's expense, by dragging it's heels to notify customers of their overdraft status until days later, believing that they had a positive balance in their account ( according to your current computer account information data ), that they rely on - continuing to make minor purchases and being fleeced with overdraft charges . " Is there a human-being monitoring these computers ? " that is a scary thought . Don't rely on your online banking service, which is totally useless in my opinion . I have never had problems with other banks, because they were predictable and consistent . Banking with Wells Fargo is much like going to a casino with the customer service of an all night - Taco Bell Drive thru . In closing, I know that Wells Fargo does not care, about me, the customer and that is ok too . If my small business ever takes off, rest assured - that my money will certainly not be deposited with Wells Fargo Bank ... I am not the only disgruntled customer of Wells Fargo Bank, here are some other customer complaints from the many disgruntled customers ( too many to list ) whom have left your institution ... It appears that Wells Fargo is more interested in making a " Quick Buck ', than establishing long term relationships with it's customers . I also wish upon Wells Fargo - that the fleas of a thousand camels, infest their arm pits ! " Wells Fargo Bank " one of the carbuncles on the butt of mankind ...

I can deal with "policy", but keep in mind, the word policy coming from the mouth of the so called "customer service" agent is really just another way of the company telling you, "Hey, we really DON'T care, and F*** you."

I am currently a wells fargo employee looking for another job. wells fargo not only screws its customers but its employees also. i am required to get one sale a day or i have to stay on a weeknight to call people. now i could of sworn i did not apply for a telemarketing job, or did i? honestly, wells fargo (hells fargo) only cares about getting sales no matter the cost. they told me to make the customer wait if i have to in order to sell them a product. i pride myself on my good customer service and refuse to keep a customer, who is probably on their lunch break, waiting too long. i am looking for another job because wells fargo is a very shallow company who doesn't give a ### about anybody. i want an employer that i can agree with on their values. everybody reading this, please change banks! i know how this system that people call a "bank" works. they don't care about you, they just want your money! they will screw you over any way they can, trust me, before you find out for yourself. there are better banks out there. wells fargo can kiss my ###!

Every Thursday my paycheck from HEB (grocery chain in Texas) is deposited to my account electronically. It usually takes 2-3 business days to clear my funds. In the meantime, the money is still displayed as part of my "available balance" although that is not the case. Now here is the most deviating thing that this evil bank does. They will accept a direct deposit, pend it for 2 days and then on the 3rd business day they will clear several debits and change the date of the debits so that they are BEFORE the check is cleared and then charge me $33.00 in overdraft fees for each item. This has been an ongoing problem with this bank and I do not recommend this bank to anyone!

Personal experience with Wells Fargo, the bxstard bank. It all starts with one key element: purchases are immediately subtracted from an account while transfers and deposits take longer. I have 58 cents in my checking account so I transfer (online) $4.00 and walk to Cub Foods to get a pack of cigarettes. Big mistake. Next day I check my balance - everything looks fine - @ this point NO overdraft fees are shown. I transfer another $4.00 into the account later that evening for more cigarettes - go and buy them. This cycle continues until about 4 days goes by - and holy shxt. $99 dollars worth of overdraft fees - 3x$33. Show up on my history for the last few days. In one day, my balance dropped from like $2.00 to -$101.69. And of course, now it shows every charge, the day it occurred, just because that money did not transfer the first day. In taking their sweet time to post these fees, Wells Fargo cost be $66 not to mention the $33 that I was charged because of their initial delay. I've contacted people and tried to get these fees waived but the bank says it is not their fault. Fxck Wells Fargo. Save your money and don't bank there.

I work at a well known print shop in SF, ca. (Home of Wells Fargo world HQ) We produce a lot of their employee reading material. And as I am forced to read it during the proofing process, let me just say it's pretty cold hearted stuff. I have had an account with them since I was 15 and am switching ASAP.. They're just too big to care I guess. Go with a bank that actually wants you to be happy and fortuitous, not broke and charged up the ###.

Actually, my account was balanced. However, there is NO reason that any CASH deposit should take more than one day to post to an account, and no more than two days for a check to post. They held my money for more than two days, and did not post the deposits, nor my withdrawls, allowing for them to use my money and make interest on it for themselves, and then conveniently cleared it all at once as to make everything bounce. Their policy is to clear largest transactions to smallest. So if you right one $100 check, and have $101 in your account (just an example) but also have multiple transactions of less than $2, they will cash the check and bounce everything else. That is truly not consumer-friendly.

Let's say you purchase a $2.00 burger and $11.00 of gas which you had funds for! Well that night a check goes through for $200.00 and it is NSF, you get charged 3 different $33.00 dollar charges because they make it look as if the check went through first, which it didn't. I asked them why this happens and they said that is their policy. The policy to take advantage and gouge their customers. I believe that there are more customers that they have screwed over with this policy. CLASS ACTION!

Wells Fargo does suck... The other day I asked for 200.00 from an ATM. Turns out I only had 189.00 in the account at that time. However the ATM gave me 200.00. On reviewing my transaction history later I discovered that since the ATM gave me more money than was in the account, I was charged a 33.00 overdraft fee! Imagine that! The ATM gives me extra money and then the bank charges me for their ATM's mistake! Wells Fargo sucks. I was unsuccessful at getting the charge reversed. I was told that I should not have asked for 200.00 if there was only 189.00 in my account and that I could have had my check register with me! Of course everyone carries a paper check register with them when going out on the town in this electronic age! If you cant trust the bank to know how much money is in your account what good are they anyway ?

Wells Fargo needs to be investigated by the banking commission for stealing from their customers(overdraft fees). I just found out that they have 425 billion dollars in assets. They obtained this feat by stealing from customers. My auto loan payment posted 1 week early causing my account to be overdrawn. Because the overdraft fees were so excessive it took the auto loan company 2 weeks to get approval to pay the fees. Which were $644. This included the 2 $10 wire fees Wells Fargo charged me. I did not make the wires or requested them but I was charged. That amount was 18 overdraft fees @ $33 each and 6 continuing overdraft fees @ $5 ea. Did not negotiate with the auto loan company to reverse some of those fees. After that my account became a target items posting before my direct deposits. All in all over a 43 day period Wells Fargo was paid $1, 474 in overdraft fees.

Sorry to interrupt the usual trashing that one normally only gets from a Wells Fargo Customer Service representative, but if you want to see what lies in store for you if you open, or already have a Wells account, then go check out some sites such as e-pinions.com, rateitall.com, or complaints.com. Most of the ratings have nothing at all to do with balancing a checkbook and everything to do with Wells' fee structure and downright atrocious customer service. You get the straight scoop on Wells without all of the useful "can't balance a checkbook" name-calling normally seen here by Wells-apologists. Also, make sure that you scroll down through the 5 years of posts on this site also, there are lots of warnings that have nothing to do with balancing a checkbook. As I've said in numerous other posts, my recommendation is to find a small hometown bank or credit union. We've had issues pop up now and then with them over the past 15 years, but nothing compared to the nightmare you're in for with Wells, and getting them resolved is sooooo much easier and painless when compared to Wells Fargo.

It seems like FDIC thinks that I cannot operate a check book. I have had a checking account for years and have never had as many problems or issues as I have had this past year - the year I've been with Wells Fargo. So, maybe I didn't have enough money in my account to cover the check, but they should have communicated the eleven day waiting period with me. Had I known that, I would have taken the check and cashed it elsewhere.

One of my main complaints is lack of communication on their part. Another complaint is that even when I deposit cash, its still marked as pending for one day. Also, you get different stories from every individual you talk to - no consistancy at all. When we called to ask about our "pending" check, one gentleman told us there were no funds in our insurance provider's bank account.

So, when I close my account out at Wells Fargo, what do I need to do? How do I ensure the situation that happened to Fleeced doesn't get me as well? I've paid plenty to that financial institute and I'm tired of it! (I told my husband that the execs got nice Christmas bonuses on us

I HATE WELLS FARGO WITH A PASSION! I am so sick of WF, I am a student that works very hard for every penny earned and due to bad economy, am supporting both my husband and I. Needless to say, we live paycheck to paycheck. That's when WF cashes in... I am convinced they have a system that alerts them when your account is low on funds, and THEN is when they decide to take out all their goddamned fees, including their monthly, bill pay, direct deposit, phone call bill?!, and they have the nerve to call it a f***ing "opportunity checking" account... yeah, OPPORTUNITY FOR WELLS FARGO TO ROB YOU! They never seem to want their made-up outrageous fees when there is plenty of money in the acct. They process whatever transaction fits to their convenience in whatever order they please so it ends up f***ing you! Every month I struggle with them and have to end up making 10 calls BEGGING them to reverse THEIR mistakes (or their very disguised ripp-offs). I am through with them. My account is closed.

these companies will not help anyone with there mortgage and hides that your mortgage can ajust without you understanding it. they say one thing and the paper work says another . who reads or understands every page of the legal wording ? in fact they purposely divert your attention to other items thus confussing the party whom is going to receive the loan. they will not help, its time for a class action suit to bring them to the table.i am researching rightnow how to sue them on my own to stop these criminals from robbing the people blind.

Wells Fargo fraudulent charges

After reading the consumer rebuttals, I have a clearer understanding of how the banks work. I am hundreds of dollars overdrawn in my account, due to what everyone else is saying. I had a lot of money in my account and was just a-spending it away and not keeping good enough track of what I was doing. I KNEW that banks put through the largest item first and then the smaller ones. I KNEW that I should keep a checkbook register instead of relying on the Online Banking. SO THEREFORE, I can only blame myself for my situation.

If I had managed my money better, then NO MATTER HOW MANY TRANSACTIONS I MADE, OR WHAT ORDER THEY WERE PUT THROUGH, I WOULD NOT HAVE RECEIVED ANY NSF CHARGES! If banks put the largest transactions through first to make sure that car payments, loans, mortgages, etc. clear before Taco Bell, gas and entertainment charges, then GOOD! I didn't realize that until reading some of the responses to consumer issues. I'd rather my RENT go through than my lunch at Taco Bell...I'd rather have 5 or 6 OD/NSF fees than to have my mortgage not paid.

All the banks I know do the same things: largest items are put through first, then smaller ones. Deposits, UNLESS THEY ARE CASH, are held for AT LEAST one business day. They will tell you that if you want your deposit credited immediately, DEPOSIT CASH! I'd rather spend $20 in check cashing fees than $35 in OD/NSF fees! Transactions DON'T CLEAR in the order you make them...but in the order the BANK RECEIVES THEM!

Yes, I've had a transaction disappear for a day and cause me fees, which I still don't understand, but either way, it all comes down to OUR OWN spending habits! Keep a checkbook register! Do not rely on Online Banking for your balance! Keep all receipts! Balance your checkbook (all bank statements include a sheet for you to balance your account on...USE IT!). Instead of using your card for 20 transactions, keep some cash on you! (Though I hate to do that, too, because hell, what if I'm robbed?! Then I'm screwed!).

If you have $100 in your account, and you write a check for $101, it's your own fault if you get an NSF fee, because YOU didn't have enough money in there when you wrote the check! Banks are there to make money too, and yes, sometimes they are really unfair but that will happen anywhere! If you don't like how banks do it, get a PREPAID DEBIT CARD! Greendot! Advance America! You pay a bit more money but you don't deal with banks anymore! Go to a cash system! It's a ### but it works for some people (not me!). Otherwise, don't give the banks a reason to get fees from you.

I purchased a vehicle in late 2005 and used Wells Fargo as my finance company. I added the vehicle on to our existing insurance policy with Allstate and maintained that until switching agents (still with Allstate). We then changed to a family agent who placed us with TOPA/RMIS. We have never had any lapse in policy or terminations of any policy. However, shortly after we purchased the vehicle, Wells fargo has sent us letters indicating the placement of Collateral Insurance on the vehicle for failure to provide proof of insurance. OK, we thought this must be a mistake and someone's something didn't talk to the next person's somebody. We called Wells Fargo and submitted via fax the Insurance declaration page. Upon receiving our next 2 statements, we noticed the Collateral Protection charge is still factored in to the amount (nearly $2000!).

Then the collection calls began.

I called back to Wells Fargo and after fighting with a collection rep just to get to speak with someone regarding the insurance portion, I was finally transferred to a manager (or so I thought!) who explained that they had no record of receiving my proof of insurance. Did it just vanish into thin air? Did someone just not do their job? OK, mistakes can happen. we faxed it over again figuring this 'manager' guy should settle this once and for all. 2 months go by, 4 months go by, and still nothing taken off our bill, all the while, the collectors are steadily calling and getting more in our faces and threating us with their veil little threats, as if it were their PERSONAL automobiles!

2 months after switching to our new insurance, we receive another Collateral Protection placement letter for nearly $2000! We went through the process of calling again, this time being directed to call Balboa Insurance directly. OK, now we're getting somewhere, not. After Submitting our OLD insurance and the NEW insurance to Balboa, it seems at one point they mysteriously don't have a record of receiving it.

the next time they saw the notes in the computer where we submitted it but nothing was processed and that they would look into it. Several months had expired with nothing being deducted from our statements and now it is showing an outstanding balance just over $4500. You can imagine the flavor of the collection calls now. It was really getting nasty when we changed to our Family's private Insurance agent who placed us with TOPA. Of course we received another letter shortly after for Collateral Protection placement (can you guess how much?!)

I promptly called again, and was directed to Collections. I hung up and called Balboa directly again. This time I spoke to a representative who was only interested in receiving the proof of the current insurance coverage and would not listen or look into my claims regarding the other to CP placements. THIS TIME, THEY FINALLY showed a deduction for this 3rd CP placement amount.

I called again to resolve the previous issues, and was directed to have my Agent call. He did while I was sitting in his office. It has been almost 4 months since and things have not been resolved at all. We have followed every guideline we can and still nothing from them. Not only is their insurance outrageously high, but the internal mechanisms of communication between these 2 companies is nonexistent.

Additionally, I have previously purchased a used truck in 1997 wherein Wells Fargo was the finance company, and the same thing happened. It took them forever to get the records updated (both with Balboa, and then with Wells) to reflect the private coverage. It then took almost 2 months for the reduction to show up on my statement.

We have recently purchased a new family vehicle and again, in no more than 2 months, we received a CP letter for this vehicle. We called Balboa and got the run-around. We then had our Agent call Balboa and 2 bills later the deduction appeared. We also received a confirmation letter from Balboa rescinding the Collateral Protection on this vehicle (for now!)

In my opinion, Wells Fargo Auto Finance could be a good company to work with if they maintained their policies from a management perspective, dealing with issues of oversight fairly and not as if everyone is a criminal (guilty until you prove yourself innocent. multiple times!). They should have better communication with their partner companies. but then again, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE GUYS WHO

PURCHASE A LITTLE CAR FROM A LITTLE DEALERSHIP. They only care about their monopolistic gains and it is just a paycheck to their representative. No wonder American jobs are getting shipped overseas at record pace! Because we just don't care enough to do our jobs properly. I can truthfully understand if I were trying to rip them off and just say 'screw them', but I am an average working class stiff, who has his financial ups and downs (who doesn't these days) but I am definately not trying to NOT pay for something I purchased.

This whole company needs to be INVESTIGATED and a little CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT immediately!

RE: WELLS FARGO'S NSF FEE POLICY

This is in reference to the Bank Manager, "who listens to their customers" and who states, "It is [the customers] fault...for the NSF fees." I am a small business owner of two businesses, one a construction company and the other a boutique.

I have a Merchant Account with a credit card processing company (not Wells Fargo) of which my customers may run their credit card - for merchandise in my boutique. Again, I am a small business owner. I am not making millions of dollars, in this economy, but just getting by day to day like everyone else - to pay my bills.

I recently had a customer - and this has happened to me a few times - tell their credit card company that they did not use their card in my establishment. So, without warning the credit card company removes the disputed $616.00 from my Wells Fargo bank account. I then received - and this always happens on the day they remove the funds - a notice from the credit card company, informing of their removal of funds from my bank account. See, the credit card company will remove funds, then have me prove my case. In their letters they request the actual invoice, the shipping address, the billing address, and their signature. All, of which I submit.

Due to this recent removal of $616.00 - it created over $280.00 in NSF fees..now I am out $896.00. Due to my proving my case it will now take 7 to 10 business days for the credit card company to deposit back into my account the $616.00. Now, the $280.00 in NSF fees from Wells fargo, well, that may not happen. The incident like this before...cost me $760.00 in NSF fees from Wells Fargo. This "Bank Manager" who posted on this forum, was not my fault.

One of my business offers online shopping. I deal with those incredible people who will purchase and will attempt to say they never received their product, or those who state they never made the purchase. I get slammed for the amount they are disputing. However, I win my cases showing proof of every delivery, or sale.

This is my first problem with Wells Fargo. They only reimbursed me on the previous situations for half of the NSF fees. They state, that "they can only refund all the NSF fees, if it is a bank error". Of the $760.00 in NSF fees they took from me a few months ago, Wells Fargo only credited me half. Due to this recent situation I am trying to get my NSF fees back from Wells Fargo and have yet, to get anywhere with them.

This is my second problem with Wells Fargo. When my account is in the negative during these situations, Wells Fargo continues to allow transactions of which transpired previous to my knowledge of the removal of credit card funds - to come through thus, Wells Fargo making a profit of $35.00 a transaction.

I say, that Wells Fargo needs to quit ripping their hard working customers off!

B.S. We had 6 small transaction "Pending" On a Thursday..The next Tuesday, they pushed a transaction that was just posted that Tuesday ahead of the 6 others, just so they could charge 33 for each. That is stealing! We would have only been $3 short on the larger posted transaction on Tuesday, and it would have gone through anyways. If you think there is anything right about that, then you deserve to have money stolen from you.

Wells Fargo problem with home mortgage

Me and my wife had decided to refinance with Wells Fargo in the Corpus Christi area. This was a few months ago when interest rates were low and we were going to refinance for around 5%. We submitted all out paperwork and we were told that paperwork was taken care of and that we would have to wait around 80 days or so, due to them processing a large volume of loans. I then recieved a call from a Wells Fargo representative that stated that the individual who was working on our loan was terminated and she never submitted our loan and would have a new interest rate at 6.75% I was very upset and asked if they could uphold original percentage, and I was told that I would have to wait untill rate dropped that low again. I informed her that Wells Fargo had a moral obligation to uphold original agreement, and lady stated that they would agree to original agreement only if loans were to drop that low again. I then called Wells Fargo's direct line for quality control to file complaint, but was given several different number and spoke to supervisors who stated that they could not help me. I made the mistake of trying to refinance with Wells Fargo and I am going to pull all my money out of the bank and go with someone else.

We recently had a home on the market. Due to economic conditions we were behind on payments to Wells Fargo. In April 2009 we had an offer and contacted the customer service people at Wells Fargo for an estimate of the payoff to make sure enough would come out of the sale to take out Wells Fargo. We were told the payoff was $187, 000.00. I contacted the preforeclosure people (who had been bugging me ) to inform them. I asked them the approximate payoff and was told $187, 000.00. The house was in bad shape and being sold "AS IS". The appraisal came up short and the deal died. In May 2009 we had a cash offer and I again contacted Wells for a new balance which was $188, 00.00 good through May. At settlement with the cash on the table we were presented with the official payoff of $204, 000.00. This resulted in our having to come up with $5, 000.00 to sell the house. We contacted Wells and talked with a Ken and Ashley (who was very nasty) and got no relief. The young couple buying the house had moved to our area from Alaska to be near Johns Hopkins for care for their baby who has a rare disease.They did not have the time to go though the B S that Wells requires for a short sale. Through some additional effort by all involved in the sale our net loss is about $2300.00. I can tell you that as a 66 year old cancer patient on Social Security I am not worried about my credit rating ( I don't expect to buy a casket on a credit card ). I f I had not met this young couple and realized the urgency of their needs I would have let the proprty go to foreclosure which probably would have stuck Wells Fargo with a $30, 000.00 to $40, 000.00 loss on the deal. It would serve them right for all the grief they caused but alas the big guys win again. It will take about a year and a half for me to pay off the $2300.00 if I'm around that long. Spread the word on this every chance you get .I will in my small way.

Wells Fargo mortgage predatory practices

Wachovia Mortgage / Bank (Now owned by Wells Fargo Bank) rips off people two ways. First by introducing their own made-up index (COSI). Secondly, by adding an unreasonable margin. This combination results in rates higher than any index (sometimes 4-7% higher than Prime). As a matter of the fact, this practice results in an interest rate higher than most Equity Line of Credit. And even after Wells Fargo Bank has purchased Wachovia, they are not willing to address this issue. The impact of high interest and neg. am. could be devastating. And it could result in missing payments and possible foreclosure. Wells Fargo Bank needs to do something about this by providing a fixed interest rate and lowering the adjusted principle due to negative amortization.

I've also suffered from the secretive way Wachovia makes up its COSI rate. It is now about 3.5% above prime rate. They refuse to give any meaningful breakdown of how they calculate the rate. Is there any kind of class action which can be taken?

Wells Fargo fees

I recently received a letter from Wells Fargo Financial stating that they forgot to charge me a convenience fee in July and August and it would be on my January bill. That is ridiculous and almost six months ago - why now? because of the economy? b.s. If it is true, which I do not believe it is, they should just take the hit for it and not come after the consumers - if they do it to me they are doing it to hundreds of other people - guess how much money they are making off of that one letter alone.

Wait until they cancel your card and say "If you want to be a customer we will send you a nice card with the picture of your choice or you favorite sports team on the card as well as a brand new introductory post bail out percentage rate of...35%. So sign up. We love your perfect credit rating and are only offering these rates to the "special". (This really happened and it will happen more...this is what the banks did with our tax bailout and our leaders are hiring those same people and GIVING THEM MORE...no wonder people bury their money and sell their perscription drugs. Who can get ahead?...lmao...the confirmation security code for me to type in is. 33DEA...no REALLY it is...lmao...ok the "selling perscription drugs is a metaphor ok...I "heard peeps do and this is just MY OPINION?" I have to continue the joke because of the code. I like to write things to peop[le, to vent...I read it, then delete it. It's therapy. Try it sometimes...it works!

Wells Fargo fradulent activity

I have two credit card accounts with Wells Fargo that had fairly high ceilings -- $8, 000 and $3, 000 with a 16.5% interest rate. I kept the balance at zero because I only wanted to use the card for emergencies. However, two different Wells Fargo affiliate offices contacted me and suggested that I transfer other high credit card balances and interest rates to the Wells Fargo card because in the long term I would save money. I did just that -- I transfered credit card balances to my Wells Fargo cards. Now one card is maxed-out at $8, 000 and the other card has a balance of $2, 500. In less then two months after I transferred my credit card balances to Wells Fargo, I received letters from Wells Fargo stating that the interest rate increased to 21% for both cards. No wonder banking in this country is a fiasco -- greedy bankers and unethical practices. I have no alternative except to concentrate on paying off these two accounts and closing them as fast as I can. I will never do any banking with Wells Fargo again. I have lost all respect for that corporation.

Carefully check your agreement with Wells Fargo, including all the addendums they may have sent you over the time youve been their customer. Federal law states that they must notify you of changes to your agreement at least 30 days in advance of the change, and that you have 30 days after the notification to refuse the change.

When you refuse a change to the terms of your account, you are technically closing your account. You still have the right to make periodic payments on the account and you do not owe the full balance immediately, so long as you aren't over the limit or late on any payment. You also cannot use the card again for any reason, because the bank will interpret that as you reopening your account and you will have then agreed to their change.

None of this may matter, though. Most banks that issue credit cards made changes to the accounts several years ago and tied the interest rates to certain indices, where when the prime rate changes, your rate changes with it. Most card issuers also reserved the right several years ago to change the spread (difference between your rate and their chosen index) when they perceive you as an increased credit risk, or if you miss payments or go over-limit.

My advice to you is carefully read your card agreements including all the amendments they have sent you over the years. If you find that they have raised your rate legally, you would certainly want to pay down your most expensive balances first. You may also want to contact them to ask for a reduction in your rate. Most companies will reduce the rate in order to keep payments coming, rather than risk being cut off.

Wells Fargo fraud and lies

If you have an account or thinking about opening one with this bank. Get your money out. There is no room in this country for a business like this to exist. They unscrupulous, unethical, unprofessional, unaccountable in their business practices. This behavior is unacceptable.

Like many others I, too, have had problems with fabricated overdraft fees. transactions being done twice. Accounting entries and practices are wrong and improper (If not illegal). Trying to deal with Wells Fargo on these matters is a joke. I had an instance where I saw a transaction that was posted online removed. I call the 800 # They say its there. I ask for them to contact the online dept. to have a three way conversation and they say they don, t have the capabilities to do that. Nor would they look into it. You will never get 2 people together at wells fargo if you have an issue. It would mean accountability on there part.

Trying to decipher their policies regarding deposits, holds, accounting methods is as difficult (if not more than) as trying to understand the unintelligible double speak they use to explain it. When cornered they won't talk to you.

Wells Fargo will finally have their day in court, as there is a class lawsuit pending against them. I have read the papers that were filed and while I do agree with them I still have other issues I want addressed and am seeking counsel to help with this.

LOL perfect! ... i have traveled around the world and met all kinds of people that don't park themselves in a corporate cubical and stare at the wall of it and then just justify the fact that they are really chicken ### to do anything but pay and obey..oh yeah you have your little ducks in a row and your little "nest egg" and you can remain a narcissistic American that does nothing for the larger world. oh i know your type and how you think and your myopic view of things is all their is. NO one will ever write a book about your adventures becasue you don't have any..your safe secure in your decorated gilded cage.. you buy the big lie the financial propaganda sold you. repeat the same rhetoric and yes mindlessly...and then indulge yourself in the cultural narcissism they packaged up for you...I bet you abandoned all your dreams to be safe, talked yourself out of them stuffed them away under mounds of BS justifications...Your a good citizen/slave and ultimately clueless...and your denial of the financial criminality that causes world wide suffering can be rendered irrelevant as long as you make sure you never examine it..lie to yourself and bury it...this way you can go on guilt free indulging in the American narcissist dream...to sum up a Drone

Most banks do this most banks do that...they change the rules so that they can manipulate things behind the scenes..your another banking shill and part of the systemic problem of legalized sanctioned thievery...your a drone to the system that is perpetual designed to skim off profits for "investors" the banking Industry is a MAFIA that exploits the weakest people and is by that definitions despicable...corporate cubical zombies dedicated to supporting the system that indoctrinated you into servitude...abandoned ethics and humanity to profit off the suffering of others..and here you are justifying and excusing it all becasue its been written in the "policy" Obey the authority even when the authority commits acts of fraud as long as they have a title or certificate...Wells Fargo as far as i am concerned is a criminal organization as most mega banks today...I will never do business again with them...go peddle your corporate propaganda elsewhere...we are all sick of it!

Well Fargo, the Bank of Lies
Are you in the process of a loan modification with Wells Fargo? I'd like to share my story and I'll bet many are being treated the same by Wells Fargo(WF).

My partner and I are disabled and living on a fixed income. We had a large investment account that was managed(mismanaged) by WF. We paid our mortgage on time for many years but due to the economic downturn, our stocks dwindled. Realizing this we turned to Wells Fargo to begin the modification process. We submitted all papaerwork asked of us in a timely manner but whenever we asked the status of our modification we were told that paperwork was not complete, they had not received the requested paperwork or that we would have to wait 90 days to receive a response. The outcome was always that our case was rejected After eighteen months of this we hired and attorney. Within two weeks of that we received a loan modification amout to pay. We were to pass a three month trial period in which our payments must be received by WF before the first of the month. We were told that after the second month, we would receive papers finalizing our modification. Three months passed and we were told to keep making payments until told otherwise. Two more months passed, WF requiring updated expense reports, bank statements and an updated hardship letter. We complied with all requests in a timely manner(all communication between us and WF went through our attorney) but were rejected because we didn't file the documennts requested in a timely manner and had too much unsecured debt. Our lawyer kept accurate details of contact with WF so the first reasom to reject us was not valid. The second was also not valid since at WF "suggestion" we declared bankruptcy. We had been told that in order to qualify for a HAMP program, we needed to get rid of our unsecured debt somehow. That seemed like bakruptcy was our only option. When we approach our attorney, we had completed the bankruptcy and all debts were discharged.
We were told by WF that the reduced modification amount we had during our trial period was no longer valid but they had their own modification program. Basically a bait and swich in that our monthly payment was only $150 lower than the original payment and did not include escrow where the original modification did and was much lower. Also they were so kind to tack on all kinds of late fees and fines to the original loan amount. Of course, any payments that we had made during the trial period were not deducted from those amounts. Our attorney suggested that we stop making payments to WF and force mediation. Our mediation date is scheduled for June 24, 2011. I don't have any great expectations given WF history of deceipt. I believe that we will ultimately have to take WF to court to get this resolved.

I would like to urge all others not to just leave your home. Get an attorney and fight. If enough of us little guys fight back we will win. We must win. Remember David and Goliath? Ask your mortgage company to produce the note saying that they own the mortgage. I'll bet they can't since most mortgages are sold and resold.

I also urge that if you're having a difficult time paying your mortgage, under water with your mortgage, stop paying. Send these leaches of society, the banks, a message.

Lastly, I urge anyone that is disabled for any reason and is in the modification process to consider that WF is discriminating agianst them by delaying things in order to wear them down and thus have to do nothing. WF has a long record of discrimination on the books. I believe that WF is certainly capable of discriminating in this case. If you believe as I do, please contact me at shoelessjoe655@aol.com

The people you write a letter to are their legal department. Tell them how much of a pain in the ### you will be (with specifics, i.e., write your journalist friend or post on Web pages and about the complaint you will file with the attorney general - which is very easy to do online).

I was also a customer!
I was taken in by the little wagon and horses! so California!
But when i had an overdraft problem i canceled the card and gave them a check to cover the cost then they did some automatic transfer and the amount went overdraft due to THEM! then a fee for that on top of another overdraft fee!
but sins they kept piling fee on top of fee i could never catch up and had to feed myself and pay bills instead! after going round and round with there drones called customer service representatives i got more and more angry at there denial and art of ripping off people!
I told there drone on the phone this is exactly why i want to be out of there bank and never do business with them again!
I had told them to cancel all accounts and they just kept telling me they would not and kept taking on fees! and i was to keep paying fee on top of fee! they lie and they cheat and they are trying to steel money right out of your pocket!
Why do they think this will endear them to anybody?
Or is it that there corrupted culture is so ingrained in them that they cant see what they have become!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WELLS FARGO ON ANY LEVEL!
YO WILL REGRET IT!

Happened to me too (excessive OD fees and ridiculous WF excuses why they personally cant assist you) ~ the first couple times I just dealt with it ~ then the last time I took the info down to the Branch, explained how the charges were incorrectly hitting my account which is causing the O/D's ...the Branch Manager said she didnt have the authority to change anything ~ even tho all I was asking is the extra O/D fee's to be removed and how I could prove with receipts ect and even the shops deposit records that WF was posting the charges incorrectly. When the branch wouldnt do anything about it ~ I scanned all the info and sent to the customer service contact given to me to contact. This is what I got back

Overdraft and Return Check fees are posted to your account on the business day after the actual overdraft occurs.
In reviewing your overdraft fees, I found that although you made your Check Card purchase at xxxx for $8.25 and $5.75 on 10/16/2009, xxxx did not present this transaction to Wells Fargo for payment until 10/19/2009.

(more blah blah blah on how its not THEIR FAULT etc ... but note I never said it was or wasnt their fault I was asking that 2 of the 3 O/D charges be removed because I could prove with receipts that their was funds in the account at the time of the charge...but Nooooooo they'd rather lose a customer than lose their precious extra fee's and predatory income they sooooo rely on ...all Ive found are bad reports on Wells Fargo ~ so never again with me and Im telling everyone I know how they treated me...the letter continued)

At your request, I have closed your Custom Management Checking account effective today.
We realize that in today's environment, customer service often becomes the deciding factor when a customer chooses a financial institution. Wells Fargo is truly committed to coming through for its customers. ( Yah right~~!) Our goal is to continue to meet and exceed your service expectations. (If that was so a simple ~ removal of excess fee's wouldve been the answer!)
We are sorry that we failed to meet your expectations but hope you will allow us the chance to serve you again in the future. (Again ~ Never again! EVER!)

Wells Fargo customer service

There phone line is awful! You can not get a person on the phone no matter what you do! My husband and I have been trying to get through for days and we have just been disconnected over and over and over again! What kind of customer service is that? Awful! I still have yet to get through! Who is going to answer my question!?

Wow, I'm here because I have lost my home. EMC kept raising my payments until I could no longer make them. Now they are threatening to take me to court after their business practices were deemed ILLEGAL by the FTC. Anyone know what to do to get these treasonous monsters off my back? Hope they're enjoying our money from the bailout. We should have just let them collapse, thanks to the U.S. Government for turning your back on the American people.

It's so obvious when you, an EMC employee, posts here. Don't you have some distressed homeowners paperwork to shuffle around and lose again?

For your information, this board is for sharing info. and experiences about people and companies like you. EMC is a sub-prime lender. By definition that means they are a bottom feeder of their world. They took advantage of risky borrowers, like many unregulated lenders, when there was absolutely no regulation on loans that should have never been submitted, let alone approved. EMC was able to get borrowers approved who should have never been approved. More importantly, the issues now are that they are not servicing any modifications, even though they received a monumental bail-out (from borrowers tax dollars) which Chase has still not paid back. There’s also the issue of hedging bets and whether EMC bet against their own loans, which it seems they did. Can you answer that question? If EMC is so standup then why did they bet against their customers as has been documented?

While you sit in your little cubicle monkey cage, cherishing your new call service center temp. job, try to take a minute to ponder what you stand for and who you really are in our economy. Someday you’ll probably need help from a creditor or lender. I would suggest doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.

What if everyone just paid their mortgage? What if people were not stupid and agree to interest only loans or ARM loans? What if people didn't lie about their income so they could get into a house they can't afford? So you all think you get to decide what you should pay after you signed your contracts? You all think because your property lost value you don't think you should pay back the amount you actually borrowed? What the hell would any of you do if you loaned someone 50k but 2 years later they said b.s. I'm only paying you 2k back because I got a divorce or my husband doesn't have a job? Get out of the house if you can't afford it! It's not the banks fault, or obamas, or wall street! Who f'ing forced you to sign that loan and buy that house? Quit typing sob stories on the Internet and find a f'ing job!

Everything is 100% correct. I think they are scam artists. I have been trying to get my loan modified for the past ten months. All they do is take your money, keep telling you to send the SAME documents over and over, because they cant find them. How can so many people be having the same problem. There must be some kind of recourse we can take to file a civil action suit against this company. They paid out 28 million dollars in 2008 and said they were going to play fair. It seems they are back to the old ways at EMC, taking advantage of people that just want to stay in their homes!

WOW. All the comments made on this site are 100% dead on. I have been a home owner for 11 years and worked in the mortgage industry as a loan officer for 2 years. I have never seen such poor performance, bad customer service, third world phone access and unorganized business processes. For over 1 year, my wife and I have been trying to obtain a loan modification. We have faxed over documents (same documents) 5 times and have gained no ground. We have made our payments on time and we are up to date on everything, we never get a solid answer. It is left up to us to call or send an email via "secured web site" to find out the current status on the loan mod, only to find out something has expired and they need more documents faxed to them. My advice, keep track of all your conversations and emails, track them because they are doing something shady and the right officials have yet to catch on. This has class action lawsuit written all over it. Just need a person that is experiencing the same issues and is an attorney or has connections to get the process started.

I am having the same problem with my loan modification application. I have been repeatedly sending in the same documents for 6 months now and they still are requesting the same information. Their customer service reps are very rude. If anyone is interested in bringing this to the attention of the Attorney General please let's get together now to stop these crooks.

Wells Fargo unfair business practices

Was notified by Mortgage company that our house was no longer considered in a flood zone & flood insurance was optional. Received multiple notifications from Mortgage company after this that we had insufficient flood insurance coverage & they were attaching an insurance coverage with payments to be applied to our mortgage. Made multiple calls to Mortgage company over 2 month time period. 6 weeks after company assured me that they would not attach flood insurance to our mortgage found that they did. It took additional phone calls to Mortgage company to try to resolve. Still unsure if issue is unresolved. Supposedly they are investigating issue. Have concerns regarding sloppy business practices of this company. In addition this mortgage company receives a kick back from insurance company for any policies they assign to customers. Question if this is ethical and is the company guilty of fraud.

My story is the same, but the difference is that I have been given a new modified loan through the loan modification dept after a year and a half of rudeness, harrassment, and lies, not to mention constant repeating the same story over and over to customer service reps from every state in the union...

The Modification Dept namely the person that supposedly worked personally on my modification STEPHANIE ID # OZ8 said that I didn't send in some important paperwork. She then (without notifying me) canceled the contract that was already signed with the new agreement, the amount of payments behind put at the end of the loan, new % rate, and lower payment that was due Dec. 1, 09. The reason was for not sending in a faxed copy of my divorce papers and a $331.62 payment for costs. Stephanie said that the $331.62 was waved because I told her that I just couldn't afford it at the time. This was in November.. I did send in the divorce papers within minutes of speaking to her. I have proof of the fax and tried to tell customer service that I had sent in the fax of divorce papers and that the $331.62 was waved by phone with Stephanie. I have since sent in a money order for that amount and have sent in the proof of the date that I sent in the divorce papers. It's a good thing that I kept excellent records through all of this !

I was notified after the fact of all of the above that now my home was in foreclosure for not submitting the copy of my divorce...and paying the $331.62 to complete the entire process. I was sent a letter from a attorneys office and talked with the person handling my case. She said that they would be putting the home up for sale in 8 days!

I called H.O.P.E. and had a agent by the name of Ruby go on a three way call to help me get through to someone that could clear all of this up. Remember...Wells Fargo has all of the documents (they found the copy of my divorce papers that I sent and told me to send in the $331.62 to get things back on track...

Loooong story short it is now Dec 3rd and I don't know if I have it straightened out or not//////I was on the phone today for over 5 hours and I still don't have a yes or no answer from anyone there!

I have the money for my first payment that was due on Dec.1 with the contract, but I can't get a answer if I still have it or not...

FOX NEWS and a CLASS ACT LAWSUIT IS IN ORDER for all of us that are being put through this needless harassment and unnecessary emotional trauma. GIVE US THE NUMBERS TO THE PEOPLE THAT ARE HANDLING OUR CASES ! THEN GIVE US THEIR SUPERVISORS NUMBERS...We are all out here losing our homes one after another...Going through the same treatment from your company...andyou are just using the customer service workers as a wall to protect your sorry ###...

I am in the same situation with Wells Fargo. It's odd that I read this because they are doing the same thing to me, but I was told to submit my information to the Loss Mitagation department. Come to find out I haven't had my mortgage for a year, therefore we don't qualify for any assistance. Why didn't the determine this before they started the process. This has been going on for atleast 4 months now. I haven't received any notification that I didn't qualify for the modification, but when I contacted the customer service they told me that I didn't qualify. It took them four months to determine I didn't qualify for a loan modification. Your kidding me right. I was laid off after trying to go back to work after having my son, and shortly after my husband was laid off. I do not qualify for unemployment because I was a contractor in the Oil and Gas business. I contacted Wells Fargo again today because I was told I would possibly qualify for the 3 step refinance program, and then once again today was told I didn't qualify for that either. The customer service representative that I spoke with today was very rude. Basically told me that I had only had my loan for 5 months, therefore I could never afford my loan in the first place. I was very frustrated and irate that this would come from her mouth. Who was she to judge me... I have been getting the run around on this home assistance program for the last three months. I do show we are in the loan modification progress on the internet home assist website, but why am I being told differently when I call customer service. If I was unable to afford my loan why would wells fargo approve me to purchase a home in the first place. I was told today that I would have to bring my monthly payments up to date before I could apply for the 3 step program.. In my opinion, home assist means helping those in need in tough times. I do not feel that this is Wells Fargo's goal at this point..

THAT DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN TO COVER THE HALF OF THESE LYING THEIVES PROBLEMS!

I called MONTHS ahead of problems I forsaw concerning money and my payments on the house... I can't even begin to desribe the shabby, unprofessional treatment we've suffered at these clowns hands.

They are hands down the biggest liers and untrained people I've ever encountered in the business world.

Their reps will say ANYTHING what so ever to make you think they are helping you when in fact they are just jerking you around with no intention what so ever of actually doing anything to assist you.

I personally believe this is done to make it appear to the goverment agencies that they ATTEMPTED to help you... this then covers their ### for taking the bailout money they were SUPPOSED to use to help distressed homowners with but instead used to buy other assets to build their own business worth!

We made literally DOZENS of calls to them and got nothing but one run around after another:

Told the previously submitted documents had been lost no less than 10 times.

Were connected to the wrong departments over 3 dozen times when calling.

We even had one little jerk submitt a Loan application against us when we were only trying to contact Loss Mitigation to try to work something out?!
(Please note, due to being transfered to the wrong people SO many times before I asked the little jerk no less than 3 TIMES, POINT BLANK, "ARE YOU WITH LOSS MITIGATION?" AND WAS TOLD 3 TIMES POINT BLANK, "YES, YOU ARE IN HE RIGHT DEPATMENT".
He then proceeded to make me give him all our financial info yet AGAIN, for at least the 10th time, taking over an hour to give it to him,
THEN he tells me "Sorry, they have declined your loan application."

I about had a seizure from the anger he caused me after realizing what he had just done.

These people are the most poorly trained and least skilled Customer Service Reps I have EVER DEALT WITH.
I'm fairly certain they are being told something along the lines of " Take the call, the more volume we generate and show, the better defense we have to show we are trying to help people. Of course DON'T actually do ANYTHING that actually helps anyone in trouble!"

IT'S UTTER ###, plain and simple.

We are giving them ONE LAST SHOT to negotiate in good faith on this loan modification request and if they screw it up or jerk us around in any way this last time that's that, we are filing Bankruptcy and letting a freaking Judge set them straight !

I'm sick of dealing with their dishonesty, dirty dealings, and total lack of knowledge about what it is they are supposed to be doing here by the fact they took Goverment bailout money, which was in fact given to them to AID distressed homeowners, not jerk them around!

Wells Fargo will not modify arm mortgage

Have called and written several times about wanting to convert my arm mortgage to a fixed rate mortgage with a lower interest rate as am now at 8.75% interest on the first mortgage and 11.9% interest on the second mortgage, and ASC will not do anything about it, they just tell me to go to foreclosure, sorry. No wonder there are so many foreclosures! The banks are forcing them, and then they turn around and get $350 billion from the government because of "foreclosure" problems! So Congress is financing the banks so they can do foreclosures! As usual the individual taxpayer is left without anyone to represent him in government. there are still 20% of all mortgage that will go into foreclosure, soon the whole country will be poor and the banks will be rich! What can we do to get someone to go to bat for us against the banks?

Wells Fargo rude customer service/harrassment

Wells Fargo Auto Finance calls at least 6-8 times per day. I already know that my payment is late. However, New Year's Eve was the ultimate in nastiness and rudness on their behalf. A man called and I tried to explain that there was truly a family emergency and I could provide him with proof of this. He wanted nothing to hear of this. All he did was rip me from one end to the other telling me that instead of going out to party for new years I should stay home and save my money and pay them. He told me if I did not make the payment that night that he personally would come and repossess "Their property." Needless to say I was devastated. This is totally uncalled for and to me constitues harrassment. He refused to give me his full name when I asked him for it so that I could report his ridiculous behavior on the phone. He told me, "you don't have anything to complain about." I am tired of this rudeness. I will be glad when I no longer have to deal with them. I still have not made the payment but hope to make a payment soon. The other part that I left out is that he told me to borrow the money from my parents. When I said that my parents were deceased, he accused me of lying. WAY OUT OF LINE! I am not looking for a freebie but I think in lieu of this behavior, they ought to credit my account with at least a months payment if not the remainder of the loan.

Wells Fargo awful company

Wells Fargo is a well entrenched corporate evil that feeds on the wrecked lives of it's victims.

After the turn of events post 9/11 my family endured a down sizing of our life stile as i was laid-off from work and we ended up filing for Bankruptcy. In the rearrangement of finances i did keep the house as we had sold our old home and downsized to a home we could afford on my new - reduced wages. The payments were well within reach in our budget.

Soon Wells Fargo was contacting us implying that we were late on our payments.

I had the receipts for the checks sent in, no problem. After the 3rd time sending them in (by now we are into the second month, delinquency fees accruing and being tacked on) I contacted our VA representative. The rep tried to work this out with Wells Fargo to no avail. Later the first VA rep was rotated out and off the case, (i don't know why, we were fully compliant). The second VA rep wanted nothing to do with this case. He made that more than clear in his communications to us. All the while we were still making our payments in full as assigned by the monthly bill. It was an excessive amount based only on the erroneous notion that we were delinquent in our payments. This served to bleed what little savings we had to nothing very quickly.

Months went by, with constant communications in trying to make arrangements to bring the account current. Each time a deal was struck Wells Fargo would clam they never received required paperwork, or something was not in order. Finally things got so far out of hand we decided to sell the property, cut our losses and run screaming the opposite direction from Wells Fargo. We contacted an investment buyer who had cash in hand at a full price offer. Wells Fargo Sabotaged the deal no less than three times by loosing paperwork, missing deadlines and claiming ignorance to details.

This went on, back and forth for over a year. The proverbial straw that broke the camels back was the contemptuous deceit the company pulled on December 24th of 2004. A get well plan had been extended to bring the loan current. A loan modification with a lump sum payment from us, was to make it all better. It had to be a money order, in full at their office back East by opening time three days from this date. We made it. Certified letter, received on time, in full. We were notified Dec 24th by phone that the company would not be accepting the amount remitted as payment in initiation of this plan as with review they felt i could afford to pay more on the payments than this plan accounted for. Further requests to re-initialize the loan modification were flat denied. The lump sum amount remitted was to be applied to the remaining delinquent amount and we were still in arrears.

We stopped throwing good money after bad and settled on the fact that we had been taken to the cleaners by corporate America. The house went to foreclosure and we departed used and abused. They had no intent of ever allowing this loan to come current. That was obvious in there actions. Good news is they lost there ### at auction. The place sold for MUCH less than they had it appraised at for the purposes of the loan, and MUCH less than the full price offer our investment buyer offered them. I'm sure they wrote the loss off at tax time and shared the burden of the actual loss with the American Tax Payer via reimbursement from the VA.

My best advise with reference to Wells Fargo -- RUN -- Don't look back lest you'll be turned into a piller of salt.

This isn't necessarily a tale of a company ripping a consumer off, but it is a tale of apathy and disloyalty. I'm simply offering the following as advice to you should you find yourself contemplating a choice between Wells Fargo or another company for handling of your mortgage. Long winded, not very exciting story follows: When my ex-husband and I got married, we purchased a little 55k house in the City of Pittsburgh. His job was to make sure the bills were paid every month, and mine was to make sure the mortgage was paid. Which I did religiously, never missing a payment, nor was a payment ever late.

Somewhere along the line, my ex-husband developed an aversion to working, and I thus filed for divorce. While waiting for the final divorce papers, my mother and I began to receive many threatening calls from companies after my ex-husband. Multiple court summons were being sent to the house in his name. Speaking with one company (who had my mother crying, by the way, with threats to her since my ex-husband wouldn't talk to them) the representative told me they are ‘coming after the house'. I told him that such is not going to happen, because as part of the divorce, the house is going to become mine, not my ex-husbands. He said I had better ‘hurry up' because they had filed against him (my ex-husband) in county court. I knew the threats of court were real, as I had seen the many summons notices sent to the house in his name.

I finally got my final divorce papers, and immediately called Wells Fargo, who had been my mortgage company for the six years that I owned the house. You see, I couldn't remove my ex-husband from the mortgage until I received the final papers. I told Wells Fargo that I wanted to remortgage in my name only, explaining the divorce. Initially all seemed well, but then the Wells Fargo representative told me that it ‘couldn't be done'. And that he was sorry, but they cannot help me because of my ‘bad credit'. Now my credit was not the best, but it certainly wasn't bad! He wished me luck before he disconnected the call.

I then logged online and viewed a copy of my credit report. I was shocked to see my irresponsible ex-husband's handiwork – among a few other things was a joint retail account had been ‘charged off as bad debt', and there was a $10, 000 loan that I had cosigned on for him that he hadn't made a payment on in over a year.

I called Wells Fargo back and argued that I was unaware of these blemishes on my credit, and that I would take care of them . . but how can they deny me when I never missed a payment to them in six years? The representative agreed that I had never even had a late payment in all that time and that my payment record with them was flawless. The representative said he hoped everything worked out for me before he disconnected the call.

I scrambled and was eventually forced to sign an 11.5% mortgage with a company called HomEq. Once again, I'm not saying Wells Fargo did anything wrong – companies don't have to be faithful and understanding. I'm just presenting my story for you to keep in mind should you have a choice between them and another mortgage company down the road.

Was on and ARM mortgage. Knew is was going to mature in Sept or Oct. Started working early ( I thought) to get a fixed 30 yr. loan. At first in Feb. 08 I was told I was upside down like everyone else in the valley here and could not be helped. I waited.

At the end of May a friend and I went to see the mortgage manager at a local Wells Fargo branch. I told him I had 2 full payments and by the next payday I would have the 3rd. I told him my concern was that being in and ARM that was going to mature I needed to try and qualify for some government. I told him I did not know what was available. He told us that there was some programs but that I needed to be behind in my payments. I asked what he would advise me to do. He said with no hesitation, 'STOP MAKING YOUR PAYMENTS' and apply for a program. He gave me the number to call.

After the June payment was late I called them and was told they could not help me that the payment had to be 30 days late. I waited till after July 1st and was told I had to be 60 days late. I was then told 90 days and by the time it got to that they filed a default against me. Now I was really in a mess. In the meantime I am putting money back to make monthly payments.

During this process they gave me a fax number to send my financial information into them. After 3 different fax numbers that did not work I asked them if there was any one there that knew a working fax number. All I got was try this number. I faxed the information and also got the Ft Mill address and sent the information certified/return receipt requested. I did not really know how or what information to send so I was eventually denied. I was told I could reapply and I have.

This time I understand the paperwork a little better. I sent them property listings for other homes in the immediate area. I sent it in to the Hope4Homeowners program. I sent in a work up sheet with a basic estimate using a guess as to the current value of my home. I know the loan could not be for more than 90% which includes property taxes and etc. I have found out that it has gone to a negotiator as of Nov. 10. I sent in another hardship letter that went in on Nov 17th. I have not talked with them since doing this but I also went to file for widow's benefits with Social Security.

I simply need a loan modification from them. They have acted as though they are completely adverse to doing this. They would be willing to lose money, do a short sale, sign over my deed to them, anything else other than give me a modification that I can do that would keep me in my home. All I want is to stay in this home. I am so upside down. My loan is currently around $197000 and a best guess at the current value based on other homes in this area is $80000.

I am waiting to hear from them. I called last Wed. and I will call then again this Wed. or Thurs. So far they have not set a sale date. I want all sale dates stopped. I want a modification and if they are not happy then put it on a probation type staus. Just give me a chance. My current payment is $1585 or something a month. I need a modification if based soley on me down to $650.00 a month. If I rent one or two bedrooms out then maybe to $950.00 a month. I just need it to go down and be given a chance. It has to be a 30 yeart fixed rate loan though. Wells Fargo has been most uncooperative and you always get a different person. I just want a chance.

This has been a very difficult year for many people. My wife died of cancer almost 5 months ago and I was the primary care giver for 5 months before that and unable to work. My job is in the financial services sector and on straight commission and needless to say even when I could work, there has been very little business. I had money in savings, but through medical expenses and no work, it has been depleted rapidly.

I have contacted Wells Fargo Home Mortgage several times about either reducing the rate on the mortgage and principal balance based on a conservative 30% drop in home values (based on my direct conversation with a county tax assessor and may be more than that with an epidemic of foreclosures in this area). They had no programs available for assistance and finally referred me to HUD and Hope for Homeowners. I ended up with another number that went to their collections department. They said any adjustments made would adversely affect my credit and any reduced rate of payment, the interest lost would be added back to principal.

In essence, they were offering nothing and destroying my credit rating. I have not fallen behind on my mortgage yet but on the edge. I didn't want to go into default and completely wreck my credit rating and had thought about not making a payment for 90 days, but reading through some of the other entries, Wells Fargo either doesn't get what is going on in the market or they want to be owner of the largest number of homes in the US. They indicated that there was a magical date on their calender of December 16th that they were introducing a streamlining program that might help-haven't been able to get any more information on that. People in their refinance department also have no information about assistance to struggling home owners trying to meet their obligations but find themselves in dire circumstances.

I really should have known better than to go with Wells Fargo. Before I did this large mortgage with them, my son went in to one of their branches locally to get change for a $100 bill before we went to the local farmer's market. They would not give him change for a $100 bill because he didn't have an account with them-great PR and winning business. He wasn't cashing a check. Total inflexibility and confusion on their part has lead to frustration and not knowing what to do next.

I have been trying to negotiate a mortgage issued by Wells Fargo on a brand new modular home which was left unfinished and with major defects. Every government agency I contacted, DEC, EPA, Board of Health, Governor, Senators, Reps.Building Code enforcement, have all agreed that, Yes, there is a major problem, however we are not regulatory and therefore can not enforce the rules. You should contact an attorney, which I did, only to be told you have a good case, however as soon as the builder hears lawsuit he will liquidate his assets and you will get nothing. I have had to spend thousands to make the home livable, I am a senior, still working as a nurse to survive and have tried to get Wells Fargo to take some responsibility for having appraised this house and issuing the mortgage which is at a high interest rate and high monthly payments. Wells Fargo offers a loan to bring my loan current at 5% interest over 3 years. I am behind by one month, plus all the late charges and added interest. All I originally asked for was one months deferment, in order to catch up. Now I am in default with credit cards and behind on others. At this point 'walking away from this whole deal sounds like an option' Wells Fargo has not been helpful, take no responsibility for granting the loan in the first place, although it was their appraiser, who accepted the word of corrupt public employees that a CO would be issued on this house. I really don't know what to do and hope someone in Cyber space might have a suggestion.

Up until February 2009, I was current and making payments on time to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. February 2009, a family emergency set me back 1/2 of payment. Wells Fargo. I was referred to loss mitigation department who closed the case without speaking with me. The reason was the person called me twice and I did not return the call. No notification was since prior to closing the case.

Since they did not help me, I had to borrow the other 1/2 payment with an interest rate of 24% because my credit rating dropped due to the 1/2 payment and them reporting me late to the credit bureau. I was told that no late charges would be assessed and late charges were assessed. I sent them a payment of $4198.96 and was told that the money would not be deposited until a decision was made concerning the late payment in February 2009. The payment was cashed and a late payment is still on my account. Lack of integrity and lack of honesty and lack of helping a customer when the customer is trying to rectify the problem.

It must be duly noted that Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is not trying to help customers and please do not believe them. Only God can be trusted. People cannot be trusted. I took this time because I did not want the CEO of Wells Fargo to "hang himself" or commit suicide because of not knowing what his/her employees are doing. They are harassing people, hanging up the telephone, and yes acting like crooks and jerks. Why get offended when you are given the truth.

My request is for a reversal of the late fees because I was told that since I called and made payment arrangements there would be no late fees. The payment arrangement was negated March 9, 2009 because I only had March 2009 payment and not the other 1/2 payment. This was not my doing but the doing of an employee who made the payment arrangement with me. She was probably fired because she was really trying to help me resolve my situation. My second request is for Wells Fargo to contact all three credit bureaus and remove any negative information from my file. I have been in constant contact with them notifying them monthly of my situation and trying to resolve it without their help. I am requesting that the $111.96 is removed immediately, late charge assessed when the family emergency.actually occurred.

Just recently I received a notice from Wells Fargo, stating that my interest rate was increasing. This increase was based on my other credit issues with OTHER companies. I have always paid my Wells Fargo credit card on time and have never missed a payment. My new interest rate brought me up to 25.65%. Needless to say I immediately called the company and canceled my card. My husband and I are full time college students and were recently laid off from our jobs. It's hard enough to even feed the family, let alone keep up on the bills. Why would a company try to screw you over more when your already being screwed in this damn economy?
NOT TO MENTION WHAT DID THE ### DO WITH THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN GOVERNMENT BAILOUT? Not help their’ customers that's for sure.

Wells Fargo is a wretched company. I have been trying for the last six months to get a modification. The WELLS FARGO agents lie outright. They tell you whatever crap and the next agent disowns the previous agents statement.

I will never bank with WELLS FARGO again. I am sure other banks will come out of this mess and then Wells fargo will realize how important customers are.

They gulped 25 billion of our taxpayer money without a belch and refuse to help customers.

Wells Fargo wrongful reposession

I too, among the thousands of people that have also lost money and/or their car, homes, etc. by banking with Wells Fargo feel that some legal action needs to be taken against them.

The question is, "How do you sue a bank?" I'm afraid that answer is only going to be answered by someone with pockets that are far deeper than mine.

If that doesn't give you any idea of how frustrated I am with Wells Fargo, I'll inform you of the entire 2 year history.

I had a checking and savings account with them for years, no problems. Everything was fine before financing an auto loan through them, then things changed. The first 6 months I had no problems, basically because I had it setup to automatically withdraw from my check account with them. Then I switched to a Credit Union and it only went downhill from there.

First, like most of you in my shoes, I received the statements regarding not carrying insurance. And like most of you I sent them proof as soon as possible that I indeed have valid insurance. 7 months later that issue finally resolved, but the balance on my bill for 7 months of "not" having insurance didn't go away, ever.

I accessed my auto loan account via the Wells Fargo website, to my "surprize" they had that wrong too. When I clicked on a payment it opens into a window that is suppossed to show exactly how much of that one payment went towards principal or interest. I'm not sure if a Wells Fargo employee paid themself from my car payments, but when I clicked on a $1, 000 payment, for example, $150 went towards principal and $300 towards interests. My questions is, where is the other $550 going?

I then sat down and went all the way through my account, payment by payment, adding up the missing ammount from each payment and the late fees from not paying the insurance they were so kindly to tack onto my bill, along with the insurance itself and that was the "past due" ammount. Which at that time was over $3000.

Any "bank" thats has an account past due by $3000, IS going to repossess THEIR automobile. They don't care if your at work or on vacation. My fiance' happened to be drving my car that day to work when Wells Fargo called her saying that if she didn't tell her where she had the car, they were going to sue her for the outstanding balance.

Unsure of what to do, she let them come to her work and take the car. Every payment was on time and made in full if not more than what they wanted. I just sent them a $1, 000 payment 2 days before they took it. Before I had time to log onto my account via Wellsfargo.com, then cancelled it. I couldn't log onto it, they showed no account with my account number.

I too have been yelled and screamed at when "trying" to just understand why they say I owe what I owe, and gave up calling them. I then went down to a local Wells Fargo branch (Houston, TX) and began informing a banker of my problems. He showed that it was repossessed and didn't have anymore information for me than that. Other than go to Arizona to the ONLY Auto Finance office in all of Wells Fargo. I don't think so.

So now I have no car and can't get a car because I now have crappy credit showing a repossession. Thanks Wells Fargo and all your minimum wage conficts you have answering your calls. :-/

I financed a car through wells fargo. I made a late payment and they repossessed my car over the late payment fee. They would not let me buy it back and sold it at an auction. They would not tell me where or when the auction was so I can try to get it back. I explained to them I need my car I have six children and one is disabled from a spinal cord injury and has doctor/therapy appointment 3 times a week. They told me I had a late payment fee that was outstanding for 81 days and hung up on me. I don't think this is legal.

I myself along with my mother in law purchased two new cars, then refinanced with WELLS FARGO WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS. They are rude, They say you have 10 days grace period, YEAH RIGHT the very next day the payment wasnt received they call ALL day long. When i call into them regarding why the payment was late they want to ask all personal questions, why are you late? what do you do with your money? I hate to call them so i say screw them, i claimed bankruptcy and now there is nothing they can do i pay them when i want, i tried to refinance with another company and i cant, WF reports everything, they are RIP OFFS! And once you have a loan with them you have to pay it back forever.

we purchased a dog with financing at a pet store with WF, the dog was 999.00, 2.5 years have gone by i have been paying 38.00 a month for 32 months now and they sent me a bill saying i owed 947.00 still? i siad are you kidding me i paid for that dog twice already then they say we will take a settlement of 830.00, i hung up and said come take teh dog, i mean really. they are the WORST. dont FINANCE WITH WELLS FARGO ANYTHING
