faulty rerigerator
I had purchased a whirlpool icemagic f26 elite refrigator 2years back. Last year the gas leaked out so it took the company a week to get back the fridge in running condition. Now the fridge was off for a week as we were out on a vacation. When we came back & switched on the fridge it was not cooling. An engineer came & said that again the gas needs refilling. Next day the person came & cut some pipe & said that the compressor is gone. How r we suppose to work in this heat? They say they will get it done by tomorrow but don't know.
This is our second fridge as the first one became faulty and was replaced within 6 months of its installation. This shows the poor performance of the company product and its service. Customers get unnecessary trouble because of faulty items. I need a replacement of the refrigerator
cabrio washer
I purchased a washer and when it was delivered the delivery man advised I had 72 hours to report any scrachs and dents. As I just moved in I wanted to change out the taps as they were old to prevnet possible damage to my new Washing machine.
When we tried to use the machine it did not work. We tried to call the manufacuture but they were closed. On monday we tried to call Leons and left a message. They did not call back on Tuesday I called again and explained the situation. They advise the manufacture would call me.
Wednesday they did but did not have the serical number so it took until thursday to book a technition which was not able to come out until the following tuesday.
The technician came out told us the mother board was shot and it might be in our best interest to contact Leons.
I did call and go the run around. They pointed the fingure at Whirlpool, did not call me back I had to keep contacting them. Now it is Friday they still claim that they need Whirlpool to fix the never used machine however they sold me it I never got to use it and I bought their platium service/extension warrenty which they explained does not give me anything until Whirlpools warrently runs out.
I could understand if I have used the machine or I did something wrong but I guess they are more worried about making the sale then servicing their clients.
Buyer beware
I bought whirlpool HE top load laundry machine on Sept. 13 from lions. Since we got that we noticed after any wash white stains remain on the dresses especially with black suits and so on. We called lions and inform them about issue. They asked us to call Whirlpool directly.
They sent us one of their technicians . He went through every things and re setup it's computer and mentioned the machine is fine.
But problem left unsolved. We call again and sent the other one. He gave some advise how we load the machine and change our detergent to HE. We did all he asked and no point. Finally I called Whirlpool and I asked them is there anyway to change the machine or
refund that.? And they keep telling me We are going to send another technician to look at your laundry and they say there is no option for customer if they faced with the product that somehow doesn't operate properly. The HE products have many issues that Whirlpool has to aware more than customers so far. They don't want to accept this fact and do something for poor customers those
they wasted their money because of misleading by seller in Lions or other retailers. Now We have machine that after any wash we have to wash again with hands to get rid off white stains. We can not complaint anywhere and there is no way to get rid of this nasty laundry. I will do my best to stay away from all the brands supported from this company. I am not rich to buy Whirlpool products.

I'd like to share my experience with Whirlpool and to encourage anyone going to purchase any appliance from any company to do some research on the brand, the model, the warranty and where they get the parts from. I purchased, in January, a brand new mix match set front load washer dryer from a local dealer. The dryer is a Maytag and the Washer a Whirlpool. Three weeks from purchasing the washer had a leak coming from the door. The service person came fixed and left, no issue. Then in March the start button on the front panel broke on the washer. The service person came took a look had to order a part, took a week and a half to come in, so we were unable to use the washer during that time. Then the next issue which is the biggest issue with this washer happened. In the beginning of May we noticed the cloths were really wet at the end of the cycle. Called the dealer, they sent out a tech, he said we were either putting too many or too little cloths in for it to work or that we didn't distribute the cloths well enough. He left. We did as he said but it still was too wet. Called again they came then they said we were using the wrong soap and it was clogging a switch to make the washer go on high spin. So they told us to run the washer with vinegar a few times and it should clear up the problem and to buy the special soap. So we did as told... nope didn't work. So called again, they came said we needed a new part because of the soap we were using before was the wrong soap and it wrecked the part. So we waited another week and a half. Got the part put it in, worked once while the tech was here. Then tried to do a load, nope didn't go on high spin again. Call the dealer he said it would probably need a new electronic board, but Whirlpool didn't want to send one out until we tried everything so he suggested I call the Whirlpool Customer Service line. I did and they said they wanted to send out a second opinion. Another service company comes; this guy was really special he said it didn't work because there was a penny that fell in the drum? So he took the penny out and left. Yeah no it didn't work, so he came back and said we needed a new electronic board... funny I thought I heard that from someone before? This now going on three weeks. They said it would take anywhere from 2 or more weeks for the board. By this time I'm not happy and called the Whirlpool Customer service. Talked to a lady she said she would put a rush on the part and that it would be there in 3 day's as apparently parts only come from the US now. (I guess we don't know how to make parts here in Canada?!) I call the repair place three days later to see if the part is in they said no, so I call Whirlpool back. Apparently the person I talked to didn't put a rush on the part and I would need to wait at least another week. So by this time I'm mad, I ask to speak to a supervisor. I did and he assured me the part would be in by the end of the week. Then I get a call back a few days later saying they are unable to get the part so they will send me out a new machine because I've had so many issues with this one. They were going to call my dealer that I purchased the machine with and see if he had one in stock... if not I would have to wait another two weeks. So I wait two day's. Haven't heard from anyone so I call the dealer, he say's, "Oh Whirlpool is going to let him know but it would be two weeks. So I wait, on the 13th day from the phone call from Whirlpool, I call the dealer, he says he's not taking care of it but Whirlpool is... he said he would find out and call me back. He did and said that Whirlpool was sending it out and it should be here in a couple days. Not even 30 minutes from talking to my dealer, the other Repair Company calls and says my parts are in for my machine?! I'm like What? They are sending me out a machine because they couldn't get the parts... they say oh, we weren't told that. So I said apparently I'm getting a new machine in a couple days so No I don't want the parts. Then I get a call from a delivery company the next day and schedule delivery of my Brand New Replacement Washer for the next day. I'm feeling optimistic so I take the day off as they don't deliver after hours. They show up on time and I'm pretty excited. (Yes! I can wash my cloths!) They take the machine out of the crate and there is a huge crack along the top of the washer! The ask me if I still want it? Are you kidding me? A scratch I can handle but a Crack?! So no I said I don't want it as it must have been dropped at one time and who knows the issue with any other parts. They take it back and leave. I call Whirlpool. Now I'm extremely unhappy. 5 weeks no washer! I talk to a customer service person and ask to speak to a supervisor immediately. After waiting for 5 minutes I get one. I explain the situation. He says we will have to order another one and send it out but it could take two more weeks! I said no... I want you to call the dealer where I purchased the machine from. I want him to bring me another machine. I don’t care the make or model or if it does anything special I could care less if it hangs my cloths for me and says have a nice day when it’s done! I just want a washer that works. He said they can't do that as they can only replace the same make and model as what I purchased, but he would call the dealer and see if he had any in stock and if he did they would get him to bring me one. Well I get a call back about 15 minutes later... he doesn't carry that model anymore... 9well of course not...he probably is having issues with other ones he sold so he'll cut his losses and not sell it!) So I tried to explain to the supervisor that for the amount of money they wasted having people come back and forth checking on this machine, sending a new one that is broken, sending it back and sending another one. They could have easily had the dealer just bring me another washer... I don't care if it’s the same make or model. I don't care what color it is, hell I don't even care if its front load anymore. I just want to wash my cloths. He said they can't do that and I have to wait. But for my inconvenience I could get an additional 6 month warranty on the new machine! Are you kidding me? I said fine, I just want a washer! But the kicker is if I want the 6 months extended warranty I have to call them when I get the machine! I said why do I have to call you? You make the machine! You deliver it! Just give me the warranty. He said he didn't know the make and model numbers on the new machine!? Oh my God!
So now I wait... he said he would try to get me a new machine by the end of next week. This will be almost 7 weeks, no washer with 5 people in my house. This is the best they can do.
This is my first experience with purchasing a Whirlpool/Maytag and it will be the last!
Quite frankly I will do my best to stay away from all the brands supported from this company.
Purchased new sidebyside fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher from Ikea - Whirlpool products Aug 22/09.
Installed them Sept 02/09. Dishwasher quit Oct. 13th - called 1800 whirlpool Oct 15th. They sent a local repair shop in to look at it Oct 16th. The repair shop called the following day to tell us they can't even order the console as a replacement part - as they aren't yet available. They expect it would be at least 2 months before they MIGHT be able to order it. Called Whirlpool district rep who said he would elevate it to corporate level and call back within a couple of days. That was over 2 wks ago.
As above - I seriously advise people to find out exactly what kind of service/warranty you are getting. At most places - as soon as the appliance leaves the door - you're on your own. I can only cringe at the thought of what if this was our fridge/stove or washer/dryer? I still think our dishwasher is a necessary appliance with 6 people in our family. Aside from that - I worked damn hard for the money I paid for an appliance that doesn't work !
When I worked at a auto dealer - if we ran into a situation like that, we would pull the part out of a new vehicle and eat the cost or bill it back to the auto maker warranty. I just want what I paid for.
Whirlpool Canada is truly an unorganized mess throughout Canada. MANY MANY customer have broken machines waiting for parts for months. Whirlpool Canada does NOT CARE about it's servicers or customers as this Bulltoot has been going on every since they closed most of their parts departments in canada throughout Canada. THEIR COMPANY POLICY IS to replace the appliance if parts are not availabe with 30 days. THAT IS POLICY! The (Toronto head Office ) does not pay attention to policy.
MAYTAG, INGLIS, KITCHEN AID, JENNAIR is owned by WHIRPOOL. ALL ARE THE SAME SERVICE!
BEWARE, THEY TALK THE TALK BUT DON'T WALK THE WALK WHEN THINGS GO WRONG.
After purchasing washer found the power button to be defective after only 2 weeks. Technician who came to the house said it is a common problem with this machine. I have waited for 3 weeks for new motherboard to arrive from the States. Customer service, ( not much service only waiting) at Whirlpool has told me they need a full skid of items to ship to Canada. As this part is not large I suggested alternative measures which were refused. The manager said i should just wait to see what happens and would not give me the number of anyone above her. If this is the way that whirlpool deals with the problems of their machines when they are brand new than I have no confidence in the washer lasting very long.
Impatiently waiting
Ian
We purchased the Whirlpool Washer/Dryer Deut in June of 2006 via Trail Appliances and have had nothing but problems from day one with them…in fact the washer did not even work when we first brought it home and was replaced with a new one. I feel the same way when it comes to the customer service part of having the technician also…I am once again waiting for a part to come in and now on week 8. When I call Whirlpool to ask how much long? Each time I get a different story and the run around, where is this part coming from? Are they walking it over….I would also like to add I would strongly research the service part of ANY product you perchance and question the extended warranty that you purchase.

We also have a annual maintenance contract. Till now the machine has not been picked up after repeated calls to whirlpool call center.

ill treatment from dealer
I have purchased whirlpool 340 dlx enox from AARCON ELECTRONIKS at lajpat nagar, new delhi ( Phone : 011 [protected]/3820 ) on 04/04/08 at 17.15 hrs.
The dealer had delivered the good which was not in immaculate condition, ( lots of dirt inside ) after keeping me waiting 4 long hours ( PROMISED TO DELIVER IN 1 hr), sent just a single person to deliver it at my place knowing the fact that I live in the first floor, myself & my wife had to give our hands which could have been harmful to both of us ( weight was 80 kgs ). It took 40 long & painful minutes to pull it thru. They even did not provide me the promised gift which they told while selling the unit & charged extra 1.5% for credit card payment which they did not disclose either while selling, & top of it charged Rs.150/- for home delivery which I was not aware of.
The overall behaviour was absolutely disgusting, starting from the sales girl to the then casheer ( who I presume was the proprietor of the shop ).
Only thing that led me to buy from them was the unique ENOX shade which was available only to them at that time & I wanted to buy that on that very day.
I honestly believe that CUSTOMER is GOD, & the way I & my spouse had been treated certainly raise a BIG question mark on the existence of GOD in Customer & eventually dents the brand value of Whirlpool for being associated with such a poor quality dealer.
The service manager who is supposed to come the very next day i.e. 5th had enjoyed NO SHOW on the given day.
Thanx for the eye opener.
I strongly recommend to take exemplerary action on this, so that no other customer would meet the same fate like us.
freezer door continuously shrinking
Dear Sir,
I have purchade a whirlpool refrigerator Ice Magic 220 Litre double door from Kanpur in Aug 2003. From day one the freezer panel started shrinking. I reported the matter to dealer and he replied that initially it shrinks a bit and after that it will stop. But the shrinking did not stop and now complete door is tilting. Presently I am posted to Lucknow and thus not able to contact the dealer.
How can I get my refrigerator repaired now and whom should I approach.
water leakage in the fridge
bad company to work for!
I see many complaints about Whirlpool's products, and it comes as no surprise. Someone I know is in a supervisory position at the dryer division. The division employs "bait and switch" tactics. For training period, they tell almost nothing about the nitty gritty and allow candidates to believe they will receive a pay increase for a major increase in responsibility. No one tells them until they hire in that: 1. Most hourly employees make more than they do, and 2. They pay almost double for benefits as hourly employees, meaning, to go into supervision, where they work 60+ hours and suffer nightmare after crisis continually, they actually take a significant pay CUT.
Upper management make decisions based on theory without trying to see if it is actually doable outside of their cozy offices. For their "performance reviews" of their direct subordinates, back stabbing is actually encouraged if it makes another department look worse than theirs so that managers and directors get their nice fat bonuses at the end of the year.
Hourly employees can do no wrong. After they are permanent hires, they can show up late day after day, have accident upon accident, and can almost never be fired except for the most egregious offenses.
So, those of you with business degrees or related looking for supervisory experience, stay away from Whirlpool Corp. They pay almost nothing, expect you to work insane hours, stab colleagues in the back, and babysit hundreds of adult children with their petty squabbling and slothful attitudes.
Not to mention the awful sexual harassment that goes on there everyday! I am very surprised that there has not been a major lawsuit by now. But, most women there shrug it off as "it's just the work environment here. No one is really serious."
irresponsible customer service
Hello,
I'm Sunil from Hyderabad and I own "WHIRLPOOL ICE MAGIC R21" brought in the year 2004 and is still under warranty. This product encountered some problem and is not working properly now - it is completely shutdown since 21st March, 2008. As it is a holiday weekend that time, I called Whirlpool customer service desk in Hyderabad (routed to New Delhi) on 24th March, 2008. The refence number which was given to me in connection to my compliant is "HD0308007798". At the time of logging complaint, I explained how critical this refrigerator for me and urged them to immediate attention. And from that point onwards, I'm calling them daily - morning and evening - to check the status. But, still, I didn't see technician visiting my home to check the problem and fix it.
Everytime I call - I'm getting an answer as technician will be today/early tomorrow morning. Days are running but there are no signs of technician coming to look into this problem.
All of sudden - on 29th March, 2008, when I called to enquire they said my complaint has been closed because I do not own any Whirlpool product - this is a shock to me - no one approached me and they simply closed the call giving non-sense reason.
I didn't expect this sort of irresponsible behavior towards customer's.
I'm running out of options - is there any way I can do to whirlpool people to wake-up from sleep and make them work for pity customers like me.
Thanks,
Sunil

pathetic after sales service!
We had purchased a Whirlpool washing machine a year ago. The machine stopped working about 10 days ago. The first call for service was placed on Sat Mar 15th 2008. We were promised that a technician would come by Sat evening to check on this. Hence, we postponed all plans and waited for this elusive technician to check on the machine... No one turned up and the call center did not answer calls after 5:30 p.m. I called the call center on Mon 17th March and after a lot of haggling got the technician to come in the evening. This technician without opening any part of the machine concluded that the heating element was spoil and needed replacement. There were another slew of calls and haggling to get the next technician to come and replace this. He finally showed up on the evening of 19th and concluded that not only the heating element but some other part also needed replacement. There was no response from anyone from the service center. It was always I who had to call and check the status of the complaint. Not even a courtesy call to say when this will be fixed. Finally, after a lot of threats, warnings, swearing etc- the new technician has done his job today 25th Mar 2008. The excuse was that there is only one engineer in all of the Bangalore City who is trained to attend to these kind of problems.. How much more pathetic can a co. get. More than anything- what appalls me the most is that the service center has "zero customer focus", absolutely no awareness of customer problems! At the end of the whole episode, there was not even a word of remorse or repentance... Is whirlpool going to repay all the money spent on laundry bills or compensate me for the time taken off from work... Obviously the answer is NO!
In a world where the most important differentiator between products is the service how can a co. like Whirlpool afford to be ignorant to customer after sales issues... I for sure will NEVER EVER BUY or Recommend a whirlpool product to anyone... !
Even I have slimier experience with them.
price gouging!
Use any other authorized repair service but this one (owned by Sears Robuck)! A very rude A&E representative quoted me by phone $65 for a service call for my leaking Whirlpool washer, which included diagnosing the problem and telling me what was wrong. Parts and labor for repair would be additional. After reading other reviews I guess I was lucky, and the service person actually showed up on time. He told me the detergent container was clogged, that I could clean it myself, and then tried to charge me $118! After a few minutes of haggling and unintelligible explanations, he offered to take $95, then finally agreed to take the $65 I had been quoted. He said people often "misunderstand" what the $65 includes. Baloney. He had clearly been instructed to try to charge a higher amount, and authorized in advance to take the amount that had been quoted over the phone. Sears should stop its subsidiary IMMEDIATELY from engaging in this predatory, miselading and unfair practice. Whirlpool offers a choice of several authorized repair services. I urge you to choose a local dealer instead of this national chain.

Whirlpool washer door won't open. After the first repair appointment A & E tech makes it so it won't close either. Second appointment: the washer door will not open or close and now the dryer, that never had a problem, does not work. Third appointment: We ask for a Senior Tech to be assigned. We wait between 8-12. They never call me. I call at 11:30 AM and 1:25 PM and I am told he is on repair appointments and I am assured I am his next appointment. At 4:00 PM I am told the tech has NOT been on repair calls but in a meeting since this morning.
A & E no showed me today after I sat in the house ALL DAY waiting for them. This is the worst mess I have seen. DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL!
I called for warranty service on our washing machine and ended up with A&E Service. They took a look at our washing machine and said the transmission was out. The part was covered under warranty but the labor was not. They wanted just under $400 for the repair! I told them to get lost and I would get someone local to fix it for less. In the end it was the washers pump that was broken not the transmission. Cost $125 to fix. Call anyone but A&E Factory Service!
I disagree; I also called for service and was told that there would be a $65.00 fee to provide a repair estimate. Parts and labor was clearly explained as on top of that charge. If your dishwasher now works I would say that $118.00 is a value and since the price of doing business is so costly now, you should have appreciated. People, who do not understand cost, drive down quality of products and services, probably the reason you needed service in the first place. You get what you pay for, I suggest calling again and listen to what the operator actually quotes you, seemed clear to me. Sometimes you hear what you want to hear, and you should probably listen a little longer. You also could have avoided this service call by reading the owner’s manual as well, you would have paid nothing.
3 month old water heater goes out
Bought a 40 gallon whirlpool water heater at Lowes. Three months later it won't stay lit. Whirlpool says replace the gas valve and they would reinverse me for the part. 1st year on warranty is parts and labor. Read all the complaints and class action lawsuits pending against whirlpool. Went to Lowes in Greely Colorado and and explained the problem and they wanted to take care of me, they replaced the water heater with one of their installers. Thanks Mike, the store manager, you guys are great.
We bought two(2) BFG1h4040t3nov whirlpood water heaters from Loews. One of the two is having issue with Pilot light going out. We can also smell gas. We called the service warranty of Lowes. It took them close to a week to send someone to look at it. The lowes warrenty contractor was tried to sell us other services but we refused and just wanted our water heater running again. he said he also smell gas and somehow switched started the pilot light. The water came hot for a day. And now the water is comming cold again. It seems the pilot is off again. We are LOYAL LOWES CUSTOMERS and they sell our family DEFECTIVE JUNK PRODUCTS LIKE THIS. Our old GE water heater never had a problem for close to 20 years and while LOWES WHIRLPOOL are breaking down in two years.

potential safety hazard to whirlpool microwave
My husband purchased the house which included the Whirlpool Microwave Hood, model # MH8150XMQ - 0. Recently the door has formed cracks that go all the way through the other side, and cracks are also on the plastic grill above the door. I contacted Whirlpool Customer Service, and after explaining the situation to the representative "Jane", I was told "The warranty is expired. There's nothing I can do for you. You can purchase parts, or buy a new one." I am a concerned consumer as there have been recalls on a very similar model to this one because of fire hazards. If there is serious cracking on the outside of this product, I am concerned about the cracking on the inside and what safety hazards this poses. I am passing all this info to other stores who sell Whirlpool microwaves so this problem can be addressed before someone seriously gets harmed. I have also contacted the Whirlpool corporate headquarters via e-mail to address this problem. I have yet to hear from them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The beat goes on with Whirlpool OTR microwaves. We bought a new house with model # MH1170XSS-1 and after 2.5 years it started burning. Had I not been standing right there, we could have had a serious fire. The power transformer was charred, the unit was a total loss, and Whirlpool safety "was sorry" and offered us a 15% discount on a new unit. Peanuts compared to the service call charge and the cost of the unit itself. Stay away from Whirlpool mircowaves.
How is it bad customer service when a company honors the warranty?
When something is out of warranty - you expect a brand new one?
You agreed to the terms of the warranty when you bought the appliance
If you don't like that the warranty ended - you should have bought an extended warranty or tried to find an appliance with a lifetime unlimited warranty. Good luck finding one of those...
I too purchased a Whirlpool over the cooktop microwave in June 2006. Right at Christmas 20067 it stopped working. After a long and frustrating ordeal with service Whirlpool finally found all the parts and practically re-built the microwave. I asked for 3 months more warranty which they gave me. Sure enough, after that expired in April 2008, it has quit again. Actually sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I wrote Whirlpool and the only thing they offered me was 10%! off another new one. Bad customer service! I love this microwave but I went out and bought an LG. Of all the appliances I've had over the years, GE is still the best. Never use whirlpool again and I always thought their products were so good. I have a washer and dryer but will not replace them with the same because of my problems with this microwave. Whirlpool lost me as a customer!
I had the bulb on the underside of my whirlpool microwave blow out and when it did it blew something on the circuit board and the whole unit has no power. It is a poor design because there is nothing between the bulb and the circuit board. A small cheap fuse would have saved a 250.00 unit. I called customer service and got the same polite "sorry not our problem" your warranty is over the year mark. I say it is a fundamental design flaw and theyshould take responsibilty for the problem. In addition, if you stick your face way under the unit you can read a warning that changing a bulb without the power off will blow the circuit board. How many normal people would A: get under the unit and read that B: have any thought at all that changing a bulb would ruin an entire unit. My bulb blew on its own and it wiped out the circuit board, really stupid design. want anyone that had a similar experience to email me at Nicolerenn@bellsouth.com thank you Ron Long
We bought a microwave hood ($680) from whirlpool in 2004. Everything was just peachy until January 2008, when the microwave started arcing inside, emitting smell of burning plastic - and it quit. We called whirlpool "customer experience" and got scheduled for in-home service ($65) with A&E. Tech showed up on Feb.29, 2008. Took the oven apart and stated that there is damage to the chassis due to electrical arcing. The chassis is the one part that renders the whole thing unrepairable. He said he would contact the whirlpool, and in 3 days they were to contact us. We waited 3 days - nothing. After about 10 days I called the "customer experience" and after some time on the phone was told that the responsible department was e-mailed and they were to contact us in 24 to 48 hours. Two weeks have passed - nothing. Today I called whirlpool "customer experience" again, and after some time wasted on the phone was told by the operator that "there is nothing that whirlpool can do about it, because although warranty still covers the magnetron, which is OK, it doesn't cover the chassis any longer. Since the warranty expired, there is nothing the whirlpool can do."
Beware of whirlpool, beware of the customer experience. From our experience it is VERY BAD. They offer cheaply made chinese products at high prices, and when the appliance fails, it is NOT THEIR PROBLEM.
Beware of whirlpool bad customer service. They are polite to your face, but since you can't see them, they put you on hold and I bet they laugh their ### off enjoying your loss.
DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES. If you do so, you'll be sorry.
poor quality product!
I bought a front loading washing machine from Whirlpool in 2004. Since then it never worked fine and the service engineer visited us for more than 20 times. The machine has never given a feeling of owning a good quality and problem free product. I would never recommend anyone to buy it ever. I will also take my complaint to consumer forum to get some relief.
My whirlpool washing machine (model - Combimatid) do not work due to the defective IC. I do not get service from the Company's Service Centers. They demand Rs. 3000 for the replacement of the board. Please let me know that replacement is the only solution?
Dear Sir,
We have purchased two - three year back the washing machine Model White Magic Fully Automatic now we are facing the after sales services problem in this area. We have logged the complaint with the Kangra dealer on dated 28 September 2008 but till date they could not provide the solution because they have not the technicaly qualified staff, only they send the boy who just open the machine and re-assemble. One time the boy told us the Belt of the machine is required for the smooth working of the machine and that is not in our stock, however we arranged the same belt from Chandigarh for the replacement and at the time of replacement the boy told for another parts and could not rectify the problem. Ultimately we compel to decide for the replacement of this machine with other company Machine, so before we finalise this decision we take one chance to logge our complaint with customer care and telephonic contacted on Sunday dated 09.11.2008 7 PM and the attended person assured to attend the complaint 10.11.2008 after 2PM, but till date 11.11.2008 no person has attended the complaint. Today dated 11.11.2008 again I contacted and talked with Mr. Amit and he also assured The Sr. Service Engineer will attend the complaint on tomorrow dated 12.11.2008, but sorry to inform till time no person has been deputed for the rectification of the machine and again today call to customer care and talked with Mr. Divesh and he also assured to attend the complaint on or before 2PM tomorow dated 13.11.2008. Till one hope is there, so we are once again requesting to attend the complaint and rectify the problem and put the machine in working condition. Please treat it as most urgent.
Thanks with Regards

I have bought fp65 model washing machine in the year 2005
till now there was not any problem but now the water was not draining out, then I called the service man but he says that there was a leakage in the drum so I have to replace the part for
Rs 3000 I want to know why there was a leakage in the drum because i am using the machine cleaning powder every month and pure water for the machine. This is the life of your machine. the service man says it might be because of water and overload
I want to know is the correct solution for this. Send me the reply soon as possible.

bad quality of product!
This company called a & e factory repair, which is hired by lowe's to repair appliances they sell, is totally inept, and unable to service the smallest of appliances. I purchased a whirlpool chest freezer in june 2007 from lowe's. The freezer quit working in january 2008. Lowe's informed a & e factory repair, they sent a technician to repair the freezer. He came to my house, looked at the freezer and said he needed to order parts. Another week later parts arrived and a time later the technician returns, replaces the parts and informs me that the freezer is unrepairable and would have to be replaced. This visit cost whirlpool $351.03. I purchased the freezer new from lowe's for $230.00. How does whirlpool stay in business? I called lowe's customer care line. They informed me that the technician had not entered the repair information and I would have to wait for that to happen, or call a& e repair myself. Another week goes by and still the technician has not entered the repair information. I called a & e repair and talked to three customer service rep's, a supervisor and the manager, all they could tell me is that they would have to send another technician out to verify the first technicians finding's and then report the freezer as not repairable. He would have to report the information to them from my house. So here we go again? To this date I have lost all the meat that was in the freezer, all the time to wait on technicians, and time on the telephone, all for a chest freezer from lowe's. I would not buy any appliances from lowe's or have any dealings with a &r factory repair. What waste of time.
hasn't worked since I bought it 10 weeks ago!
9 Nov 07 I bought this washer. Didn't work. Called company and told to call for repair. Called repair daily for 4 weeks without a return call to set up appointment. Finally got a replacement washer. Didn't work (suspect replacement was another returned model, or floor model). Called for service. Wait 3 weeks. Repair (A&E) shows up 4 hours late, makes me take dryer off of washer, looks inside and says a part must be ordered. Says that in order for repairman to access I must take dryer off of washer again. I put dryer back onto washer. Wait 3 weeks. Call both Whirlpool and Appliance Land, explain I am not happy now taking 4 days off of work and still no washer. Told to wait and see what happens when repairman returns. Again take dryer off washer last night. Repairman arrives this morning, says washer should have been taken out of closet. This is too heavy for me (109 pound female) to lift. Call to Whirlpool and customer service rep Karen #8494 says it is acceptable for a customer to take 50 (!) days off of work, it is not Whirlpool's responsibility to make a washer that works when it comes out of the box. Since the part that was ordered was just a guess by the previous repairman (he did nothing other than come out, make me remove 88 pound dryer and then say he needed to order a part, he wasn't sure if it was the one that he was ordering but he'd "start" with that one...) I expect I will need to take off another 6 or seven days (losing 2 weeks of vacation time just to get repairs on this brand new washer) and pay movers to come pull washer out and put it back. DON"T BUT THIS PRODUCT!
exorbitant rates for spares &services
I purchased a "Whirlpool"make "White Magic-Aquashower F45" model washing machine in 2001. Last week when the machine was started for washing operation after programming, water was turned automatically; but instead of being stored to the required level for washing it was drained as it gets into the tub. Hence washing operation was abandoned. However "spin" operation when selected is done without any problem.
When the local service provider was contacted, he said the entire control board has to be replaced and it would cost me Rs.3300/-inclusive of cost of board and service charges.
I am of the opinion that either the pressure switch or solenoid valve of water inlet might have failed & the entire control board need not be replaced. This requires proper analysis by the co.

This is third time I got replacement for new refrigerator with in one month. This time sent without top handle grip. There is no quality assurance for the customer satisfaction. I never expected whirlpool sent with damaged in second quality of refrigerator to the customer.
Delivery boy will throw the refrigerator & finish there work. My brother is requested to the delivery boy to fix the refrigerator stand & they won’t fix the refrigerator stand & so, delivery said it is not matching for this model. They said we won’t take care about the stand problem & taken back old refrigerator with out quality checking. Is there any marketing gemix for the customers?
I want know how the dealers supplied wrong models stand to the customer?
Please ensure that to whom I have to blame?
1) I have to blame whirlpool?
2) I have to blame dealer?
3) Whirlpool technician?
4) Whirlpool management?
5) Whirlpool model problem?
Kindly, reply the value of response & satisfaction to the customer & please ensure the quality of service.
If, not possible take care about this issue, I will make sure to whirlpool bring them issue to consumer court.

very poor after sales services and no customer respect
I purchased a refrigerator i. e. whirlpool ref 310 l deluxe iceberg steel, model no. ina [protected] from kbm electronics, lakshmi nagar dated 20th october 2006. the refrigerator was defective in terms of cooling capacity and despite keeping it on full scale it does not cool items. we realized it very late as the fridge was bought in winters and we were unaware of the defect as not much cooling is required in winters.
But as summers started, items in this refrigerator started decaying and till date it is totally ineffective in terms of cooling. I lodged several complains to the whirlpool consumer service center (consumer service h. o., 28, n. i. t. faridabad, haryana) but every time the support engineer comes and promises that they have fixed the problem. but the problem is still there and on top of that defrost water has started leaking out of the refrigerator. the forms filled by the service engineers do not provide enough details of the problem and the fix made.
We have been chasing whirlpool consumer service for so many months and did not get any relief. sometimes we lodged complain and the engineer did not turn up for 2-3 weeks in spite of reminding the center several times. they do not have a very good complain resolution process and the engineers misguide the consumer and get away without any solution to the problem.
Finally I lodged a consumer complain in the dist court but the response from whirlpool india is shocking. they have no respect for consumer and used lawyer to twist facts and used false claims to make the case in their favour. I will fight this case to the highest authority and make them realise that they need to offer the same services to indians as what they provide in western countries.
So far I it has been 13 months and I have not used my refrigerator after paying them rs 19, 500 (500usd). I do not know how long the wait is. my recommendation is that although whirlpool is a good brand but their after sales is lowest grade. never go for whirlpool.
It is pity that Whirlpool, a world known company, is offering their products in India with faulty system. I bought Double Door fridge in July, 2008 and since then no one from the company/Service center has bothered to visit to check this machine. Unfortunately it stopped cooling and i lodged the complaint under no.DL0909002665. Visiting charges of Rs.394 should not be charged/applicable as it is not customer's fault. It is company's fault for offering the faulty system. If the machine is stopped working almost after a year it means that the products are of not good quality. It means their product reliability is very poor. I will sorry to say that the customers in India are cheated by offering faulty system which starts giving problem just after one year. Please look into the matter so that others should not suffer like me. It is really a very humiliating experience by buying such a branded product from one of the leading companies in this field.
microwave malfunction!
I've taken a Whirlpool Microwave in Oct 2005. After the warranty period I had done AMC as persuaded by the company representative. Since then I had problem twice and the 1st complain took 2 months to get rectified... the service staff says "there is shortage of spares". Now again it is out of order and complain has been made, but again there is no spare parts. I really do not know how long it will take time. Microwave is a necessity in todays
terrible service!
Original Service Call: 10/13/07 (F70 error code and would not work). The Service Tech thought he was there to fix a washer and said he never had to work on a Duet dryer. He performed no diagnostics, but decided to replace one of the circuit boards to see if that would fix it. The part arrived in 6-10 days as expected, so I scheduled another service call. The same Tech came out and did not know how to open the dryer, so he pried off the front facia ring improperly and broke all of the clips. He ordered the broken part and asked if I could install it myself when it arrived in another 6-10 days. I said "sure".
Days later, I received a strange URGENT call from a different Tech who needed to know when he was at my house, because the service order did not have the right details and he did not remember being at my house. I told him it was another Tech who was at my house. That raised my concern about the part order, so I called A&E. They had no clue about what was going on with the other Tech. Even though they assured me the part was ordered, it did not arrive within 6-10 days as expected. On calling them again, A&E stated they did not see the part order and they resubmitted the order.
The part arrived some time in November, but it was the wrong color. Called A&E who again said they ordered the new part, and stated to me on the phone that it would be sent right away and the service Tech would be out to pick up the wrong part. I asked the rep to add several comments to my file about the problems I have had with their service, and she guaranteed someone would call within 24 hours to discuss. I asked her to add 5 bullet points about all of the problems I had with their service, and she stated the comments were entered in my service record. I never received a call.
When the Tech arrived a week later, he took the wrong part and ordered the correct part while in my driveway, because he said the order was on hold until he picked up the wrong part that was previously sent. Remember that the Service Rep told me the part was to be sent right away, not after the Tech picked up the wrong part. The replacement part was not sent until late December, and it was the wrong color again.
12/29: Dryer issuing F70 code and not working again. After scheduling service through the Whirlpool web site, I called A&E (Stephanie) who said a Tech would have to come out to order the part, since A&E customer service reps do not know part numbers. I told her a service call is scheduled for 1/3, so that Tech could order the part. I also complained (very nicely without yelling or being demeaning) that this was the worst service I have ever received from a company, and that I needed to discuss with a supervisor. She said one would call within 24 hours. I told her that was the same response I got last time, and that nobody ever called. She said that was because a message was not sent by the prior rep. I asked about the multiple lines of comments that should be in my record, but she said there were no comments in my record. Someone either deleted or never entered the comments they guaranteed were in my record. Stephanie said nothing; no apology, no explanation, no concern whatsoever. I called back to cancel my service appointment with A&E to try a different service company. The Service rep said a Tech would need to come out to verify the model number. I told her they obviously had the right model number, because they sent the right part, only in the wrong color. She said a supervisor would need to call me back to figure out how to handle. I told her this was the worst service I ever received from a company and that I am filing complaints with A&E and Whirlpool (I've only filed one other written complaint in my life of 45 years). I called Whirpool's parts department myself, who then called A&E to work through the issue. The Whirlpool rep stated it was resolved and that Whirlpool is sending the part directly. Why wouldn't A&E take the same 10 minutes to do what I did? Because they do not care one iota about "customer service", and they make that very obvious.
A&E ! is very really very bad attitude and customer service! I have never had anything like that. Walking in his dirty shoes on my silk antique carpet!
It is too long to explain all situation, but if you are going to use they serves, my advice to all of you, please think not two but three times, or just look up and find some other company. I will never ever use them again!
They are horrible. I am so mad I can't even get into it or my head will explode. I will never use them ever.

A repair was done and faulty part replaced on 20th March, 2014. The refrigerator seemed to work well for a day but developed problem similar to the one before repair. Calling the company ever since but none seem to care. No one has attended yet (4th April 2014).
That is the condition of Whirlpool. They have lousy products and think that if they have big stars endorsing the brand it is great but I think I will be telling their story to as many people as possible. The fridge is now 2 years old.. has had the compressor changed once and the gas has leaked out 7 times!
