dreadful customer service/rude staff
On the 24th of September 2017, I shopped as usual at Glenquarie Center-Woolworth. On the Fresh Produce section, as I approached the counter, this staff by the name of Malik, kept me waiting for about 5 minutes while putting ice on the seafoods, not acknowledging me as courtesy nor saying anything with such a grumpy face. After he finished, he stood in front of me saying in rude tone, "YES?". From my side, I didn't say any word, already annoyed for being ignored, I pointed to the prawns by saying 1 kilo. He responded rudely again by saying, "I cant see from here" with a lifeless look. After finishing the wrapping, he asked again, "Anything else" with such a rude tone and almost threw the wrapped produce on the bench.
It was a disappointment that after shopping from this shop since they open, I was badly given a very poor customer service. I will never put a foot in if I spot that staff again in the store. I am expecting a prompt response from the company although I have discussed this incident on the phone with the Store Manager.
By the way, may I request for a new replacement of my key
holder Rewards Card as the previous one was broken.
stuff had very bad attitude
24/09/2017
Around 7pm
Store address:745-763 Raglan Parade, Warrnambool VIC 3280
item:My friend ask for two chicken brest first then I ask for four chicken brest.
We been to Woolworth for shopping some groceries.
And we went to the fresh meat product area to buy chicken brest, but the worker show her bad attitude to us, we did nothing wrong, and that area doesn't have any other customer there, so means she's not busy at all!
I wandering it's because we are Asian, so she use that attitude and the [censor] face to us?
It's very unacceptable.
minced chicken
A very loyal customer of Woolworths, I am very disappointed in the chicken produce you are selling. Last night, I stopped in at my local Woolworths on Epping road in marsfield and picked up a few ingredients to make a healthy dinner, after an intense gym workout. I bought a few bits of fresh produce and 2x 500g Woolworths chicken mince. They weren't on sale, and read the 18th September as an expiry date. Being the 13th I grabbed two and headed home to meal prep. I opened the chicken and the smell was absolutely horrendous. I let it sit for a few minutes, thinking it may have just needed to air a bit. After that I went back into the kitchen and by this point the smell was just about through the house, almost making me sick! I was devastated that I wasn't able to cook and meal prep for the remaining part of the week and really upset as this is the third time this has happened. If it wasn't after 8pm, I would have gone up and made your manager sniff that chicken! Instead I defrosted some frozen stuff in my freezer and cooked something else and ended up in bed quite late. I am not normally one to whinge, but this is quite literally the third time the chicken has been off when the date is still in tact! What is going on? Is the chicken not stored correctly? Im getting sick of coming home and hoping for the best where the chicken is concerned. I would like a refund for the chicken I bought- all of it. That's 6x chicken mince packs over the last two weeks. I would appreciate if someone got in touch to let me know what is going on with your chicken! Thank you.
services
Today 3rd Sep 2017 at 5.20pm, I went to Woolworths Macarthur square with my sister for our groceries. I was so upset with their customer service. I went to the check out serving by a male staff, his name is Joshua. He even did not say hello and gave us a smile. My sister spent $46.53 and I spent $39.63, I asked him " can we have some sticker, please? " He gave me 5 stickers! Then I showed him our 2 receipts, he took them, used his finger nail to scratch the receipt, it showed we can have 7 stickers, he did not give me anymore sticker but thrown me back our receipts and said "that's it, you go". He was so rude! It was hurting my feeling as I think he doesn't want to serve Asian customers.
We came for shopping, paid to Woolworths and we was very polite to him.
Is this the way Woolworths serving their customers? So rude! I better go to Coles or aldi. Better customers services and better deal. At least, their staff never rude to us!
24 pack coke
On Sat 26th Aug 2017 l purchased a pack of coke cans from the Ararat Woolworths. On arriving home l went to put these in the fridge only to find that 5 out of the 24 cans had been damaged and that a staff member had clearly stuck the box back together (they would of had to have known that all 5 cans had been damaged to the point that they were unuseable). I would have returned these but we do not live in town so it meant a drive back to town to replace them. My biggest issue is that lm am disappointed that some one would do this to any customer and l find it deceitful. I am a regular shopper at Woolworths and a rewards participant.
I am complaining about the lindt chocolate bar
I'm Marianne Mendoza from Ryde NSW.
My daughter bought Lindt Creation Creme Brulee on 27 May 2017 at Woolworths Top Ryde Shopping Centre as my presents for my birthday. Unfortunately, the bar has best before date as 30 April 2017. This is very disappointing. Why would you put passed date on the shelf? It was fortunate I looked at best before date before consuming the chocolate bar.
If you could get your staff to check the consume date before putting them in the shelves as this might cause a severe sickness to the consumer.
Please advise how you want this bar to be return and get my daughter's refund.

the great packaging scam!! a 750 gram pack had only 250-300 grams inside macro muesli with coconut, almond, maple syrup
WE shopped at Woolworths, Smithfield, Qld where we bought this Macro Muesli product about a week ago (May 23-25) Only opening it today, May 31.
The packet stood in the cupboard beside a package of 750 gram Pure Harvest Organic Muesli and suddenly the difference between the two became obvious. Macro had about one third less product. Cereal makers had notoriously put their products in oversized boxes to appear 'huge', but I thought that stupid 'con' had been addressed
long ago. IT appears you guys are still doing it. This is not some other company's product, it is your product brand and what goes in the box is your responsibility. There are checks in the assembly line for mistakes like this so I must presume there is a good chance it was intentional.
Please reply.

marvel discs
I have been collecting the marvel superhero discs for my autistic son and thought it was great as he got right into them. But I have to say that I am very disappointed with the way it has been ran. For something that is targeted for children it has been make soooo hard to collected all of them. I have been on sites trying to swap the spares I have for the ones my son needs and everyone is looking for the same numbers. If your not going to make it easy for kids to collect them all then you shouldn't of ran it at all.
Woolworths have damaged there reputation, by letting there customers down. These disc are a nightmare. people selling these disc for absurd prices.
These were for kids, but there being used for profit.
oysters-smoked select brand
Bought 6/4/17 Woolworths own brand smoked oysters x 2, since eating 1 pack I have been coughing continuously and got asthma, the only thing I had to eat was the oysters so I turned over and read these come from catchment are FAO 61, reading into this I goggled the catchment area and these come from japan with a warning to stay away from eating anything in these catchments as they are from Fukushima which is radioactive, if I knew prior to buying them the side affects I would get I would not have bought them its not worth the chances of getting asthma brought on by eating these, i'm very disappointed in this brand
50g pouch of winfield red has holes in the side of the pouch
i purchased a 50g pouch of Winfield red tobacco on the 9/2/2017 form my local woolworths store only to get home and find there was holes in the side of the pouch . on opening it, I found the tobacco inside was stale and dry and I have lost half of this tobacco to my pocket as I hadn't realised there was a hole in the side of my pouch . a replacement would be muchly appreciated as I cant afford to replace this .
woolworths spinach and ricotta agnolotti
To whom it may concern
I bought the above product, Woolworths brand, Spinach and Ricotta Agnolotti on the 25th of January at my local Woolworths store in Willagee, Western Australia.
I made a meal using this product on the 29th of January and I was both shocked and revolted to find a piece of bone in my meal.
As I have been a vegetarian for over two years it is impossible this bone came from anywhere else, other than your product.
My desired resolution to this complaint, well, to be compensated for this experience, I would like a Woolworths giftcard, as apparently I have already earned store credits worth $500 aligned to my email address [protected]@optusnet.com.au.
yours faithfully,
Tracey Donovan
unavailability of products
I am at Nambucca heads and shop at woolies pretty much exclusively however I am now getting really frustrated as items I used to be able to get at the store are no longer carried and I have to either drive to Coffs Harbour or if friend/relation is going there to get items for me. These items are caffitaly Gloria Jean coffee capsules, Brazilian/niguarguan, Taylors aioli mayo ( which due to severe allergy is one of the few I can eat) macadamia milk, McCormick's potato scallop mix and the list just grows. I understand if a certain kind of product is slower to move it is replaced or dropped from stock list, but come on it is seriously getting ridiculous, and before it is mentioned macksville doesn't carry items either. So it is a trip to Coffs Harbour a good half hour + or attempt to get at local IGA.
simply heat slow cooked beef ribs
Yesterday I bought this product from your store in walkerville, sa. The pack weighed 0.528kg and was priced at $8.97.
1. When I opened the cardboard pack I discovered that there were only two ribs. I had expected from the size of the box that there would be enough meat to feed me, my 5yo and my 3yo when accompanied with vegetables. This was not the case. I gave the kids a reasonably-sized portion each and there were only a couple of bites left for me.
2. The pack contained a huge layer of fat. Our plates and the serving platter in the dishwasher are covered in fatty globules and my mouth felt coated in a layer of lard after I ate.
All in all, I would have been better off spending the money on gravy beef and using my own slow cooker to feed my family. Very disappointing.
woolworth mobile
Woolworth mobile is the worst & rudest customer service team that I have ever dealt with. If Woolworths can't provide efficient service why do you foray into new line of business? I signed up for Woolworth's Mobile after confirming to customer care call center that my $59 plan includes calls to overseas countries specifically UK, Germany & India. Now they say I can only call Mobile numbers to one country and land lines in other? Is that some joke? Moreover the customer service is so rude that they don't even listen and ask for ransom of binding contract amount. I feel that's unfair to customer and unfair as telecom operator.
plumpton store sup/manager
Dear Woolworths, im a regular shopper at Woolworths Plumpton nsw, on the 29th 12 2016 I bought a Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream 50 g, I thought I was half price, when I was checking out and told the 40 g s on sale not the 50 g, but ur staff told me I could put it on rain check which I did on that day. and today I went back to Plumpton, the lady in a white shirt told me I didn't have the recipe, pls note the rain check lady told me only need to bring the check and the product she didn't tell me the evidence of proof. The lady said its MY PROBLEM and she said the rain check doesn't work that way. Look im the loyal customer and told different stories for 1 thing and being told its MY problem!? for several times, is she capible for her position as a supervisor /manager? I want a answer pls
potato topped chicken pie
I just paid $12 for a half full tray of overpriced manufactured mashed potato sitting on a layer of transparent gravy. Despite the products name we could not find a trace of chicken...yes there were a few peas and frozen style cubed carrots in there. We couldn't see any onion or celery...and mashed potato was far from 'creamy'. Im a big advocate for prepackage meals but this Woolworths is a massive fail. We are unlikely to try the rest og the range as a result. Coles are smashing Woolies in this area.
I agree, I have recently bought this product as well and was very disappointed, as there was not much filling and all potato topping.
Not sure if they have changed this receipe, because I have previously bought this and the filling was quite generous.
We just tried the Woolworths Potato Topped Chicken Pie. There was zero chicken pieces! Plenty of vegetables and potato. The tasty was extremely average. The meal was overpriced. I will not be recommending or trying anything else in this range. Very disappointing.
overcharge, small but not the first.
During our weekly shopping trip today, my wife purchased a Select Chocolate Chip Banana Loaf 550G (bar code 9193006335941450002255) which was marked down (supposedly) from $4.50 to $2.25. The docket (Store 2340 POS 002 Trans [protected]:10 23/12/16) shows the full price of $4.50 NOT the "Reduced Price" of $2.25.
This is not the first time we have had issues such as this, and as we are pensioners we need to keep a sharp eye on what we spend.
I have attached photo's of the item and the sticker indicating its reduced price status. I have also included photo's of the appropriate sections of the docket (the whole docket is too ling for a photo).
no christmas carols
I am submitting a complaint regarding not playing Christmas Carols this festive season. I would like to know why the powers that be have decided this year not to continue with the Australian tradition of playing Christmas Carols. We are a Multicultural Country and celebrate a diverse range of traditions. Not Just religious traditions either. You don't have to be religious to celebrate Christmas as your company fully knows and makes the most of one of the busiest times of the year. If truth be known most people from all ethnicities respect each others cultures. Please don't try and use the excuse that some one might be offended as I can tell you that I am OFFENDED that Woolworths have not respected the Australian Cultural Tradition of simple Christmas Carols.
I would like to know why Woolworths have decided not to play Christmas Carols this year. I am not a religious person but to celebrate Christmas as most people do. As Australians we are told that we are a multicultural country and celebrate a lot of different traditions and cultures. There fore why is the Aussie tradition of Christmas Carols not included in Woolworths stores. Woolworths make the most of one of the busiest times of the year as there sales show. I am one of many people that are OFFENDED that one of our traditions had been axed in case it offended someone.
woolworths insurance
Further to the below email I sent another on 22/12/2016 and have not received a response:
Good morning
Further to my below email, I have been in contact with my bank and your company multiple times to rectify this issue to no avail
The amount has been taken off my credit card and cannot be cancelled by my bank so I am left without this money over Christmas
I now have to wait for a refund from you which could takes weeks including the Public Holidays
I am left with pretty much nothing for Christmas
I am requesting someone from your organisation to call me back regarding this complaint
I have always been a loyal customer of Woolworths and now I can’t even do my shopping there for Christmas lunch
Email sent on 20/12/2016 to '[protected]@woolworthsinsurance.com.au'
I have just checked my credit card to find that an amount of $1, 128.49 has been deducted from my credit card from Woolworths Insurance
I did not authorise this payment so I have called your customer service number and the lady I spoke to advised me that my home insurance premium automatically renewed unless I advise otherwise
I obviously was not aware this was happening however can appreciate it is in the “fine” print.
The complaint I am making is not receiving anything prior e.g. a renewal policy via email or letter advising what the new premium was or any correspondence at all.
I haven’t received anything via email or post to give me the information or to even request monthly deductions rather than paying a one off payment. I was given no choice or was not informed and have heard nothing from Woolworths since I originally set up my insurance
Now I have to wait 5-7 business days over Christmas to receive my money back that I only noticed had been deducted because I was trying to work how much money I had left for Christmas food over this busy time
I am extremely upset by what has happened and disappointed in not receiving some sort of correspondence about my renewal of policy to remind me to address this
I am left without any credit on my card for food and Christmas presents and have to wait weeks for this to be refunded at no fault of my own
I have a 2 year old son and elderly parents I am supposed to look after during this time with no money
I would appreciate a response to this ASAP with some sort of explanation and compensation
incorrect balance of opal card tap on
This is Tony Chang.
At 19/12/2016 5:06p.m., I recharged Opal card at Woolworths located at Town Hall.
I am sure that I asked to tap on 20 dollars and it had been automatically spent from my bank account.
However, I just realised today that only 10 dollars was tapped on. I had plan today and just realized that this happened so my whole day has been ruined.
Evidences (tap on receipt and Bank transaction history) are included.
I am so disappointed on Woolworths’ customer service. I am expecting appropriate action from Woolworths.
Cheers.

This afternoon, I sent to Woolworths a lengthy message in two parts. Part one consisted of a complaint regarding a Woolworth Pepperoni pizza that my wife and I considered so vile that we threw it in the rubbish bin, vowing to file a complaint about it.
Part two was about your scam of selling pork chops with a large amount of fat attached. Yesterday, I bought two pork chops. Both had an extremely think slab of fat attached. As I have made no less that three verbal, in person complaints about this, with no action taken, I decided to persevere with some action myself. My two pork chops on the tray had a price tag of $9.16. I spoke to the meat section manager about this rip off waste. As I do not eat fat, I fail to see any reason as to why I should be forced to pay for the fat that would be completely removed prior to cooking. The manager informed me that the public preferred a slab of fat up to three quarters of an inch thick on their chops. I informed him that I do not eat it, do not want it and do not like having to pay for it as it will be discarded to the rubbish bin prior to cooking the chops, I also informed him that the public have the right of choice...fat or no fat. The original price of the chops was $9.16. After removing the fat (amazingly) the price dropped down to $7.97...a saving of $1.16 for me. YOU NEED TO GIVE THE CUSTOMERS THE CHOICE OF FAT OR NO FAT. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORCE PEOPLE TO BUY SOMETHING THAT THEY DO NOT WANT.
Both of the above complaints were sent to Woolworths via your MESSENGER SITE ON FACEBOOK.
