I recieved the product on 14 August 2023. I was happy with it on first viewing but started conversation with seller as there were no instructions. Sellers responses were unusual and i worked it out for myself. 15th Aug 23 backlight feature could not be found. asked seller how do i access this 30 Aug 23 seller replies that the watch is not as advertised. 31 Aug 23 contact customer service who say will escalate. 2/09/23 chat again to online chat. 3/09/23 recieve email requesting more evidence.- responded. 4/09/23 Rejected-lack of proof. Contact chat online and have 24hr window to question decision-I did. 5/09/23 Get Cust Serv response stating that they see im chatting with seller and to continue as seller appears willing to solve issue (sellers resolution is if i want what my watch was advertised as having i can pay more money) i reply to this response but continue conversation with seller. 08/09/23 Seller offers full refund upon return of watch. i ask who pays postage. seller replies he will.
RECAP seller admits product not as advertised. online chat contacted withing buyers protection of 15 days. AliExpress encourages discussion with seller. 8th Sept seller offers refund. Seller offers to pay postage.
I am admitted to hospital 9th sept 2023. 20/09/23 contact seller to ask how we organise the postage. no response. contact twice more seller still doesnt respond and has not responded since 20th September 2023. Reply to cust serv email that seller has ceased communication get no response. I contact online chat on 23/09/23 i am told that it is now outside buyers protect (remember i first contact Ali on 31/08/23 inside 15 business days but i am advised by Ali to continue with chat with seller to get issue resolved)after 3 attempts to get someone to escalate i get an email from customer service. 25/09/23 suggesting i continue negotiating with the seller who has not replied for 5 days and that i pay for postage track goods and if seller does not pay for postage i am to contact Ali and they will issue a coupon! i reply but get no response. i get another email same day different case number advising buyers protect has lapsed and to continue negotiating with seller - who wont respond
29/09/23 get email with another case number asking for photo video evidence, which i gave on the 02/sept23 and again on 03/09/23, i make a video and supply document of timeline with screen dumps of sellers admitting goods not as advertised, sellers refund offer sellers postage offer, screen dumps of emails and chat conversations, screen dump of product listing and the listed features also highlight no response since 20/09/23 and that seller has now pulled his ad from Ali Express. 30/09/23 get response after looking at video and my document they conclude have not provided conclusive proof and advise i contact seller.
i reply that if they had read my documentation they will have seen seller admits goods not as advertised seller offering full refund and seller offering to pay postage. they will also see that seller has not responded for 10 days and has pulled his ad. I ask how much proof do they require? This is a farce.
I am getting nowhere with this despite a Seller admitting product not as described. seller offering refund and offering to pay postage. They have a video showing that the function buttons when pressed do not access a backlight. They claim outside buyers protection yet they were first notified within buyers protection. The seller dragged it out past buyers protect and i went along with it on Ali Express advice. They are ignoring the facts and are fobbing me off
Desired outcome: AliExpress to arrange a full refund as I cannot contact the seller and this was first brought to Ali's attention within the buyers protection time period They advised negotiating with seller.
