I too was told to go to www.att.com/rewardcenter for my dsl rebate after I agreed to their over the phone offer. I have tried over time repeatedly to access what appears to be a non-existent site. I even received a flyer in the mail instructing me to do this so I tried again repeatedly to no avail. *sigh*
I tried to get into the att.net/rewardcenter and was directed to a page to check off what program did you receive and then a page to enter my phone number, which I did. A slogin came up that said sorry, cannot identify the number, try again and again and again, etc. etc. What a rip off! I was told I would receive a $100.00 Visa debit card as my reward, AND CAN'T FIND A WAY TO LET THEM KNOW! Please call me at [protected] and let me know what to do!
I was given a web cite to access my reward, it did not work, and now I am no longer eligible for the reward because the time limit is expired. And I had to wait a month to apply for the reward. I have had a cable line on top of the ground (three months) since changing to DSL, and I am so disappointed in ATT ! I think the reward is a ponsi scheme. Also, the first moden which was installed was a "used" modem and I was without service for several days, had to have a repair man out to fix the problem. What has happened to ATT?
It seems like every1 here has the same exact experience with me - I had to go through hell to get them give me my rebate. The key is DOCUMENT EVERYTHING you talk to them about - getting the reps' names, date, time you talked to them, what they said, etc. Then when you send your rebate form in, make a copy AND make SURE to send it where they have to sign for it - yeah you spend a lil' money BUT this saved me. They sent me a card claiming they didn't receive my form so I called and said that they are lying because I can see on the US Postal website specifying who signed for it and it was within the accepted date. Thus, they finally issue me the instant credit on my account. But trust me, I didn't get it until 6 months from the date they promised to give me the rebate by. Also, I had received a letter in the mail yesterday from an attorney, talking about settling issue w/ Att's rebate - specifying for those customers who were promised a rebate but never received it. This just comes to show, ATT NEVER had intended to give customers their rebates from the start. It's all a scam from this corporation to get people to buy their service yet not carry through.
BILLING ISSUES THEY CAN'T EVER FIX. service coverage not what advertised. Overpriced!
