When arriving we asked for a table. The manager Ben Cadmen then told the seating person to take us to a booth. We were able to get the waitress to give us a table.
We noticed that NONE of the waitress' on duty were not smiling at all and also were not chatting with each other(like normal). We were soon to notice why.
The manager stood by the order screen near the kitchen window berating the cooking staff loudly and generally handed out verbal instructions on a continuing basis to the waiting staff. It was like no one knew what they were doing except him! This action continued throughout the complete time we were having our dinner. "the corn" "the stuffing" etc etc. do this do that! I am sure that it was very embarrassing for ALL the waitress/cooking staff there. The food was good and timely delivered, though not as hot as we would have liked. The waitress and her trainee were very efficient and mindful to our wants and needs. The ONLY negative thing was the TOTAL UNPROFESSIONAL IGNORANT SELF CENTERED actions of Ben Cadmen. If I was his superior, he would be GONE immediately. Maybe the staff could smile, try to enjoy a tough work environment with some comraderie, and represent Bob Evans as we have seen on our other visits. I surely hope we do not see this manager again. If we do, we will not be seated. I have personal leadership experience but this guy seems to not have a clue about how to treat subordinates.

I have been there twice in two weeks. The first time there was a dog hair in my coffee off of the waitresses clothes I assume. The second I ordered the $9 cranberry pecan salad and it took 30 minutes to get it and when I did it was more the size of a side salad with very little toppings. I have heard the kitchen workers arguing and it seems no one knows their job. I love Bobs and hate to complain but management deserves to know how their restaurants are being run. I placed a $25 to go order today online 2 country fried steak dinners & chicken tender dinner and was given a pick up time of 10:13am... I arrived 5 minutes early and called to see if my order was ready that's when the lady told me they were "out" of country fried steaks and can give me sirloins in place at no extra charge so I agreed that was fine and I had to wait 15 more minutes so they could cook the steaks which was still ok she explained to me their truck was late which happens I understand but the food was not good... the macaroni and cheese was not cooked all the way the noodles were still a bit hard... and Luke warm ...the steaks were the super small and just not good...the rolls were hard and to top it off they didn't have any Togo cutlery I'm so disappointed I've never had any trouble from them but just disappointed. I do want to say thank you to the cook for making mashed potatoes early for us but you should NEVER run out of product when there's another restaurant 15 minutes away in Washington Court House to borrow from!
quality and quantity of food
My husband and I have been going to Bob Evans for over 30 years! Since this company has changed hands a year or so ago the quality and quantity of the food now has gotten worse! We have given you guys the benefit of the doubt and continued to give you a chance! We have gotten some pretty bad food since you changed hands though! I got a steak a couple of weeks ago that was the size of a silver dollar and was highly priced, and I'm not sure if it was steak, I got sick from it! Today I got potato soup that came to me as a cup of potatoes cubed with some cheese sauce on them and a few bacon bits, no scallions! That is not soup! The half of pot roast sandwich hand no carrots, potatoes or onions on it and the meat was very little! The big breakfast my husband got had the eggs thrown on the plate halfway off and he got fries with it that you could count on one hand and were cold! We have given you guys the benefit of the doubt but I had to let you know today how bad your food has gone down hill!

I am a super fan of this product! Except for the last time I purchased them! When first opening the bag I noticed an unusual chemical odor and the potatoes were discolored, not their usual white color. I went ahead and continued to cook them. As they began to cook, the chemical smell grew stronger! Even though we were Leary about the terrible smell & different look, we tasted them & immediately spit them out! The taste & smell overwhelmed us. So afraid to try again! I love this product but I got a real scare.

The waitress was rude and gave us poor service. Did not bring us our food out right away. It wasn't hot at all. My husbands pancakes had a mushroom in it. My eggs were fried not runny like I asked for. The hash browns were not cooked all the way. The pig kid breakfast was ordered and did not look anything like the picture at all. We will not be going back to this location.
too cold 🥶 in restaurant
My two children and I went to Bob Evans for the second time at this location, and I asked them to turn the air down, and their reply was "the kitchen employees would be very uncomfortable if she were to do that!" Whenever I was younger I too worked in the kitchen of a restaurant. Call me (old fashion, ) but I always thought that the customer came first. The manager was sarcastically polite to the point she started to be downright hateful. Needless to say "I will never go back there!" In addition, I seen two other people with coats on, and my two children had jackets on as I did also. This was in northern Indiana, and well into September! I asked her what the thermostat was set on and she told me "70 degrees." If she had only compromised and turned it up 3 degrees; then I may have returned and somewhat enjoyed my food. The manager was very cross with me after I complained about being so 🥶. She told me that "corporate wouldn't let her turn the temperature up past 70. Well, if that was the case I would have just turned the air conditioner off until the temperature rose a comfortable level for customers. I am very disappointed 😔.

I ordered take out which should have been pretty easy. It was very clear that this Bob Evan's needs a lot of training. The girl who answered the phone had no idea what she was doing. She couldn't take a simple salad order. I told her to just forget it. I picked up the rest of my order. I was talking to the Manager about it.She was very interested and unprofessional.
