My husband took our car there to get the tires changed. They told him it should be ready within 2.5 hours (@3:30 pm). My husband didn't have a ride, so he waited there. Car want ready at 3:30, 4:30, 5:30. I called @6 angrily and the employee told me it will be ready by 7:30. But he told my husband later that it will be ready by the end of the day (their...

I returned a defective product on September 10th, 2020 and received a refund card with the monies owing as the balance. I went to use it yesterday as part of another purchase and was told that the card had expired and I am out $ 45.19. Given that i was not verbally informed that the card would expire and given that the stores have experienced disrupted service due to the Covid 19 outbreak, is there any way i can get my money refunded. I have spent considerable money at the waterdown store both in terms of goods and automotive service, I really don't think a refund card should have any expirey date as it is the customers money and not the corporations. My refund card number is [protected] and my email address is semi.[protected]@cogeco.ca
I am hoping we can resolve amicably.
Desired outcome: returned of monies owed
Human rights violation
Was refused service at the Slave Lake location due to not wearing a mask, despite having a valid exemption. This a clear violation of my basic human rights as a Canadian, and I will possibly be filing an official human rights complaint with a lawyer. Manger who was extremely rude was Shirley Ozmund. Will not be back unless this is rectified. Extremely pathetic, and the opposite of accommodating.

My husband brought his Chevrolet Uplander 2007 to your garage on Roland Therrien in Longueuil for some repairs to his van. Once the repairs done, my husband left the garage and only got a few meters away before the car would not move forward anymore. He took it back in to the garage for an other inspection. He waited 4 days and had to call for news... He left messages and the person would not call back. He decided to go directly to the garage for some answers. The mechanic told him that the transmission died and that because of the state of the under carriage he could not repair it.
Now it seems unfair for us to have loaded $1400 on our Triangle Credit card for the first repairs when they very well knew that the undercarriage was finished. No one told him his transmission was dying or informed him of the rot under the car. The van only worked for 2 minutes coming out of the garage.
We know that Canadian Tire is a solid and respectful company and we are constant customers but this seems very unfair.
Please get back to us if you need more information, we will gladly cooperate.
Yours truly,

No mask, no entry, no exception

No Mask, No Entry, No Exception!
So in order to enter this store, you will be denied oxygen and must re breath your own CO2. People have gotten the jab to supposedly protect them from an alleged virus which has NEVER been isolated and purified and its COMPLETE genetic sequence obtained and you STILL have to wear a mask to enter this store. WAKE UP!

Certified 3-1 self propelled lawn mower.
Purchased a Certified 22"3-in-1 self-propelled lawn mower. After only 3 months of normal use and absolutely no abuse, the green paint on the deck is peeling off. Not flaking off, but large 6x6 inch pieces. I called Canadian Tire, who told me I had to call a place called Mecanair. That was a joke to say the least, I was disconnected many times, arbitrarily sent to a full email box. I finally got through and was told paint is not covered. I informed them it's not small chips, it's large chunks, and there is rust under the paint on the metal deck. Furthermore, I told them I would send them a picture, but they wanted nothing to do with it. To them it was plain and simple,"paint is not covered". For a lawn mower that is very new, this is unacceptable and poor customer retention policy.
Unlawful detention, discrimination, violation of privacy rights
On October 13 2021 at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon I was discriminated against, harassed and illegally detained by a cashier at The Canadian Tire located at 3079 Boulevard des Sources in Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec. An employee wearing a name tag that read "FAWAZ" physically prevented me from leaving the store by blocking the exit with his body and...

I am currently sitting in the Vernon, BC store waiting for an oil change for which I had an appointment. The appointment was for 1:30 pm and it is currently 3:30 pm and my vehicle still sits where I parked it on arrival. Nobody seems to care! Others are waiting here as well under the same circumstances. This is absolutely unacceptable and to think I will have to pay for this terrible service. I will spread the word about this and never recommend this place to anyone!
Desired outcome: Discount for lousy service and wasting of my time.
Map book return
I tried to return a map book and the manager would not accept the product. She told me it was nonreturnable. I said why was I not advised at time of sale. She said there was a notice hanging on the map book display. I took photo of display and there is no information of this kind at the Vernon store or the Westside store. I also was given her managers contact and he has not answered my email. I have documentation of my experience and believe these two people are avoiding representing a big problem with Canadian Tire and how it handles its returns. I took the map book back to the store in plenty of time within the return policy stated on the back of the receipt. I want to be refunded and believe these people do not deserve their positions as employees of Canadian tire if they cannot assist correctly in the return policy of Canadian Tire as stated on the back of my receipt. My name is Mark Edward Christofferson, my residence is at 9520 Winchester Road, Vernon, BC V1H 2E2, My email is [protected]@hotmail.com
Desired outcome: An apology from both managers, a gift card respecting my running around and cost of fuel, full refund,
Defective yardworks mower model yw163cm3e purchase at canadian tire 200 - store michel fréchette inc in joliette
Purchase on 2020-05-18 it work well and i was very satisfied. However on 2021-08-15 i could not get it started so i return it to the store where i bought that is for repair. Apparently the cause is a defective battery and / or charger. I made attenpe to get my mower back . I made several calls to know when it will be repaired. I can get no answer.
It seems that the issue is the defective part is back-order. To top it all the part number has change numberr according to briggs and stratton.
Desired outcome: GET THE MOWER REPAIR A.S.A.P. OR GET A REFUND.

On August 27, 2021 I took my Dodge Caravan into Duncan CT auto service for diagnostics as it had been running rough and had had an occasional backfire over the course of a couple weeks. After diagnostics, I was told that the van required new plugs and wires to resolve the above problem and I was given an estimate of OVER $500 (with an oil change). That...

Received your sept 16-22nd flyer and on the front page, your math is off again. This isn't the first time that I've notified you of your miss calculations. You have your black and decker listed for $179.99 with a big 55% off and you have it listed for $79.99? Same with the deep fryer on the front page. I don't understand why math is so hard and that there isn't anyone checking these numbers. You lose confidence in your consumers. I would appreciate a reply this time as I haven't heard from anyone on my last complaint, again, losing confidence in you as a corporation.
Desired outcome: Reply to me this time indicating you’ve received my complaint.
Service
Had an inspection done on car and after e gone has a high pitch whine to it. When I complained they said it's not their fault and I can pay to have it diagnosed! Will never go to Canadian Tire again.
Master chef BBQ
This product is garbage! From day one we put it together and the warming rack locks backwards and falls out! The centre propane element lights but due to continuously getting airlock we have to use the barbeque lighter to light the other two sides I know it is cheap but come on. Anyway we have emailed the company and complained only to get hit with more questions, I just emailed them that it's in the trash where it belongs. Due to our last review on the ridiculous outcome of our vehicle strut installation quote that got doubled and head office would not honer it. We still tried to support Canadian tire, not again! will not be shopping for anything at Canadian tire
thought you should know.
Desired outcome: Nothing
Tires
I wanted to buy tires for my truck, they were on sale but no one in nova scotia had them, I found them in toronto canadian tire, but the store here said they cant transfer them from there to here, which pissed me off now ill take my bussiness some where else from now on this happen today sept.7/2021 the tires were on sale for 531.00 for four tires 275/60r20
Core charges on brake calliper returns.
Purchased a set of brake callipers for a 2015 ram 2500 truck. Was charged 141.67 each for a core charge. Was told to bring back the old callipers back to be refunded the money and that was it. This store is 3 hours from my house and a 45 minute detour off my regular route home. I work oilfield and I only get home once every couple months with the job I have. That being said I drove 45 mins out of my way to bring the callipers back only to be told I needed the box to send them back. No where on the receipt or any of the paper work is this mentioned nor was I told anything about bringing back the box . so now we m lugging two oily crappy callipers around with me and I'm going out almost 300 dollars because of a piece of cardboard. I bet a single Canadian tire store recieves a couple thousand boxes a week it shouldn't be too hard to box it up and send it back.
Desired outcome: I want my core charge back and I want to get rid of these callipers and I want Canadian tire to start listing their policies in their paper work

CDN Tires - Auto Repair Dept. 2129 St Clair Ave W. Please get a second opinion! They tried to say I needed something, and when I asked a friend, he introduced me to his mechanic who was free to speak, and he told me what the mechanic suggested was not needed. Disgusting return policy. Tried to return a defective Singer M3100 sewing machine that the Singer people told me to return. I bought a single line trimmer about a year ago, a yardworks trimmer.
The spool cover wore out
I have tried everything to get a new one
They have informed me that they have no replacement part for my trimmer, so I have to throw it into the garbage because it can't be used without the spool cover
I think in view of this situation, they should provide me with a new one
Desired outcome: I want either a new part or a new trimmerI am prepared to pay for the new part
