Absolutely Pathetic Costomer Service at Cell C
Reason for visit - I want to port my vodam sim to a cell c prepaid e-sim
Day 1- I go there, ask for it. The salesman looks around if anyone else can do this, then says, can't do it today, please come tomorrow. Okay, I understand maybe there is some technical issues.
Day 2 I go there, ask for the swap, they say give me your passport, assuming that I will not have a id because I m Indian, although I have it. Then I give my id, noone then knows how to port to a e-sim. They send someone to ask from anyone else in another store. The lady comes, eating something, says oh I forgot to ask. Goes and comes back later, they then fight among themselves about who is going to do the work as apparently they are planning on what to eat. Then one of them comes and asks, it's going to be 50 rand is that fine, a way of asking me to leave.
I agree and then he ports the sim, despite having the other staff members shouting laughing loudly among themselves.
He returns my id, I ask him what is the procedure now, he says if you don't owe money to vodacom, they will port the sim.
After 2 weeks of nothing happening.
I go to the store and ask, they say vodacom denied the port. I say try again, he says if you try again, then you will loose your sim. I said okay try atleast, he says you will have to get a R50 voucher again, I said okay and he replies "it's a lot of money you are wasting". In short, he didn't want to work but rather join the chat with others. He then calls the costumer service centre who try to explain something to the agent, but he doesn't listen to them. He tells me at last, you have to get a normal cell c sim use it for some time and then convert to e sim.
I can't describe the attitude of the staff in words.
P. s after leaving the store, I go to telkom store to do the same thing. 2 days later, I hsve my activated telkom e-sim in my phone
Desired outcome: Response from cell c, about the action taken and cell c should upload a clear process of porting to an e-sim
