Have changed phones and can no longer use coupons! I can bring up my account and add coupons with my email and password but they will not come up on the register.
The ONLY reason for going to DG instead of Walmart is coupons if you make it impossible to use them I will no longer shop at DG. My items this morning were over $60 but I left them there and bought the same items at Walmart. Fix it.
issue with digital coupons
I am upset I spent over $25.00 and the coupon was taken off for only $2.00. I asked the cashier if she could honor the $5.00 of $25.00 and she told me no I would lose the coupon. I asked her did it give me the $5.00 off and she said yes. I looked at the receipt and it only gave $2.00. She told me that I would loose the coupon and she could not ring it back up so I told her to void the transaction. I asked for a receipt and was told that the void was done and it takes 3 days for the money to be put back in my account. I am pissed off. I lost my $5.00 off coupon which expired today. Ididn;t get my merchandise, I have no receipt and then I have to wait 3 days for my money to be put back in my account. Can someone please call me [protected] Mrs Mitchell

Total $25.23
tran# 2841 and 2853
How did you void a transaction and look at the receipt. If she did a return to give money back you have the original receipt. And if she voided it there is no receipt. If your 5 dollar coupon is gone then it applied it. If it didn't its because you didn't have 25 dollars after discounts and all other coupons.
Total has to be $25 before tax and after all discounts are accounted for
digital coupon
My $5 digital coupon did not work and I specifically had enough money on me to get everything I needed based on my coupons. I am an almost daily customer and think that the rep who would not take the $5 off was unempathetic. This was sort of embarrassing as well holding up the line. If the digital coupon isn't working right, it shouldn't be an option. It's now still on my digital account for today and I needed it when I spent my money today. I'd like some sort compensation.

You want compensated for coupons you didn't use. It is not required for stores to honor digital coupons, there is tech support for that. Some managers will but not always corporate handles digital coupons the stores cant control or see them. Sorry just because your were embarrassed doesn't means the store needs to compensate you for something that is out of their control, that would be just handing out free money to everyone who'd coupon don't work. There maybe several reasons it didn't come off your purchase take responsibility and call tech support.
Total before tax has to be $25 or higher. You should've got a candy bar for at least 70¢.
Your subtotal before tax was under $25.
store nasty
Dollar general store 17830 main st Blountstown, fl, is so nasty, disorganized, stock is on top of each other, caint find nothing, the pricing is off, the manager not hardly there to supervise, nobody stocking, carts, boxes in floors. Here holidays and nothing is making any sense to shop. Bathroom always out of order. Employees seem to be pulled of street. HELP !
bad manager
The manager at store number #12875 in Pecos New Mexico her name is Rosella. She is very rude to my family and I and I'm sick of it. We have done absolutely nothing to warrent such attitude and I want something done about it or I'm contacting my lawyer.
Many times now when we have gone in there we get a cold shoulder or snobby attitude. But yet she will turn right around and be nice as can be to the next customer. There's also another woman that works there I don't know her name but she was very rude to my autistic son when he asked a question. If this keeps up I'm going to take it as far as I can and I'll have both their jobs as well as having the store shut down. I have plenty of money and a very powerful lawyer that would love nothing more than to file a suit against them. I could understand if we had done something to cause this attitude be we haven't. We have always been very polite and nice even when we are being treated this way. But enough is enough and we aren't taking anymore of it. Fix it or I will.
With an attitude like that, no wonder they give you the cold shoulder. Besides, don't you think the unemployment rate is bad enough without you trying to add to it. You don't need a lawyer, you need a psychologist.

You should call corporate because I don't believe they check this site.
lousy customer service services
Dollar General on Crawfordville Road in Tallahassee displays their hours prominently on the front door: 7am-10pm 7 days a week. However, when I pulled in before 9:30 this evening, an employee was standing in the doorway, turning people away one after the other. At least five vehicles, including mine, entered the parking lot and were waved away by her. Closing before your advertised closing time is false advertising. I guess they wanted to go home early on a Friday night. Their customer service is terrible, anyway. The cashiers are rarely at the register unless there is a line. When there is a line, it takes them about 5 to 10 minutes per customer. The line continues to wrap around until it is stretching into the Isles of the store, blocking those that are still trying to shop. When you get up to the front of the line, they are so busy talking to each other that they barely even acknowledge Your Existence other than to scan your items. Most of the time they don't even tell you your total. They just look at you and wait for the money. The only reason, and I mean the only reason, that I frequent this store is that it is 2 minutes from my home. But trust me, tonight took care of that reason as well. I will not be shopping at this store anymore, and I will make sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid it as well.
Did you ask why they were closing or you just assuming because you want to complain. I'm sure there was a reason and if you took a minute to ask you would have known.
over charged for purchase
I visited the DG in the morning on 9/20/2018. I purchased items that were on sale for buy one, get 2 free. I was overcharged and the store clerk keeps telling me that there is nothing she can do because her computer is not working. I don't understand how she can still check people out if her computer isn't working. I don't want to return my items, but I would like a refund for the over charge. I have been back to the store twice since the purchase, and is told the same thing. This sales promotion was advertised in our local newspaper. I have been to other DG for this same sale and they are giving the promotional sale prices. Please assist me with this problem.
Thank you
dollar general manager and employees
I work at dollar general in Pinson Tennessee, store # 18136, and there have been some reoccurring problems with the manager Melanie Black. On more than one occasion she has come to the store off hours and she is drunk or high on something, cones to work very often high, slurred speech, tells employees we can get stuff we want or food from store and we don't have to pay for it. This goes on everyday, she also has workers working and her favorite workers get to hang with her all day doing nothing as seen in the photos below. This is Melanie Black and her "friend" worker Emily Johnson, this is a everyday thing Melanie does, if its not Emily Johnson hanging with her its her asst. Manager Kriss Vaughn, key holder Ashley Hinson and another key holder Nicole Evans. I just know this isn't right and the stealing is wrong and feel something needs to be done so I'm starting here!
You must be an employee there. You seem to know all those people on a first and last name basis.
unethical behavior
I am writing in regards to the manager (Michael) at Dollar General 2018 W. Forrest Hill, Peoria Il.
The shopping experience my family and I had was by far the most rude I have experienced. On Thursday September 13, 2018 (approx. 2pm not actually clear on the time) my father, myself and husband bought a few items. Just flew in from Atlanta (due to a funeral) and visiting my home town was amazed to see a new Dollar General on the corner. Nonetheless, my father was purchasing some aluminum foil pans which were priced at $3, so he thought. Unfortunately, when Michael rung them up they were $3.50. As my father tried to explain to the manager the price he saw he begin to become very rude. Even to the point of saying things like "It is not my fault people put them in the wrong place", "do you want it or not", "if you don't want it then put it back". Now I'm beyond shocked because I could not believe a manager was saying these things. It was so bad the customer behind us even stated "wow, he's rude". Not to bring much attention to the incident, we just tried to get information about who was over him to no avail.
As a manager one should exhibit behaviors as friendly, acknowledgeable, patience, and positive. Remember this is someone who is leading others. Do you think this behavior is acceptable as a leader? Do you think he is representing the companies values?
I pray others do not have to experience humiliating shopping experiences as this, I also pray for the employees that work under this type of management. Since I am very fond of Dollar General and shop there frequently, I am in hopes that other managers will lead by example. My thoughts for a resolution is for your managers to be in this position to possibly have some sensitivity training.
hours being shaved and not being paid because time was edited
The store boss renee mitchell would always shade my hours by editing my time. Sometimes I clocked later than 10.15 at night mostly worked nights and my time was always being fixed and put back at10.15 so I didn't get that extra time I was there paid. I know this is against the law because all the time that ya work are suppost to be paid and time is never to be edited and put back for any reason. Now I am not at the store anymore but I would like to see about getting this looked into and being paid for what I was shortened out of because its only right. My time is not free and valuable so so I need to be paid what I am owed.
Stores are budgeted hours and they're not allowed to go over. It is illegal for the manager to edit punches like that. If you clock out late then you'll have to take longer meal break next day to even out the hours.
discrimination & bad management
My girlfriend nicole worked at the dollar general in fort mccoy for 2 1/2 years going on 3 and she never had a problem until crystal blake got there. Everybody started quiting at dollar general and she still stuck it out with them. But one day I guess she had to do something called the nones and she said she kind of knew how to do them but wasn't to sure, she asked her exactly how to do them and she vaguely showed her and was in a rush to leave. Well she accidentally messed up the order and the truck due to crystal's bad management, so after that it was almost like she was targeting her. She wasn't picking on anybody else besides her either. So she demoted her, we said okay, fine. So she was a regular "key holder". She was a key holder for a year before she got there so she already knew how to do general manager stuff. (she was an assistant manager before then) well nicole had some medical issues come up and she was in the hospital keep in mind she did call out! She even had to have verizon three-way to dollar general to even call out! But she did and she brought a docs note too! And she even tried to find somebody to cover for her for the next morning because she had to open the next morning but couldn't because she was in the hospital over night. What did crystal do she demoted her again when she did nothing wrong! That manager that was there that night should've helped her find coverage for the next morning. Nicole couldn't because she was having service problems but she tried her hardest to try to contact somebody, keep in mind she had to three-way in order to even call out. That demotion should have never happened! Now keep in mind she did show up late one day too but also keep in mind she was having medical issues but she did show up and made up the work and what she had to do, she made up for all of what she did wrong and made sure the days she knew she was going to miss to call out, bring docs notes, whatever. Well nicole found out she was pregnant after all the medical issues she was dealing with and her and crystal talked and crystal told her she had a set schedule for tuesday's and wednesday's. Well that went on for some weeks and crystal didn't even put her on the schedule but she still showed up because she told her she had a set schedule. Well this past week her schedule all the sudden changed and crystal all the sudden puts her on the schedule and never notified her and I guess she had to work on monday but she couldn't show up because she was at a docs appt! So she puts her as a "no call-no show" for monday well she went in on tuesday and worked her shift for tuesday and she also had a shift for friday but she all the sudden took it off! I guess she also heard a couple managers came in and redid the schedule for next week and they scratched her name off and put someone else's and nobody ever notified her about anything not even about friday, she had to find all of this out herself! I know they did that because she knows that crystal and john talk down about her behind her back and makes her look bad she heard from somebody that john asked crystal, "why isn't nicole gone yet?" and something to fact that she isn't "worth [censored]"! Now I feel like that was a set up to her and isn't right at all! I want her to have justice and peace of mind as to why she would target her and treat her like crap and nobody else?! She has stuck it out with dollar general longer than anybody else at that store, going through as many managers that that store has gone through and that one targeted her for no apparent reason at all! This is wrong and she needs peace of mind and something needs to be done to those managers! Oh yea and she was still "training" managers that took her position when she was a cashier!
P. S fix their registers too! Whenever nicole is off duty the registers or receipt machine is always messed up and nobody knows how to fix them besides nicole and they never get fixed until she walks in!
service
Everytime I go into this Dollar General there is always just one cashier open, no matter how many customers are in line. The cashiers won't call for another register to be opened, and if they do no one responds.
The aisles are so crowded with displays that no one in a wheelchair can get up and down the aisles. Large metal containers full of stock constantly blocks the aisles. Step ladders are left open unattended.
Hours are limited in these stores. Most of the time it's just one person, usually the manager, running the entire store.
closed during business hours
I went to your store at 3785 Clague Rd. in North Olmstead, Ohio on 9/21/2018. Store was supposed to be open until 10PM, as clearly marked on the front door. I showed up at 9:19PM and the doors are locked with lights on. No one acknowledged me or even came to the door. I find it very unprofessional for your facility to not be open during normal business hours.
Maybe they were having register issues or something, things do happen in the course of the day that can cause a store to have to close. I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose to inconvenience you. They probably just forgot to hang a sign on the door.
Really? You showed up on tomorrow's date?
cluttered store
The dollar general store here in Corning Arkansas is so poorly lighted. I am disabled and I have trouble a lot of times walking. This store makes it even harder because the isles are cluttered with stock that hasn't been on shelves. The same items have been in same location for days.
Since our Walmart closed this is the only place to shop unless we want to drive 30+miles.
Please fix this issue, many are forced to go out of town to do their shopping.
Should contact corporate. They won't see your complaint here.
store employees
I have been watching this store go from a top store to a mess ! The new manager is high as hell while at work and they are unfriendly and rude and sitting out side talking and smoking not doing their job people waiting in line til you walk out and get them ! And I know for a fact that ain't none of them took a drug test bc the manager don't make them bc she can't pass it her self
All managers and key carriers are drug test when they are hired or promoted.
Tell us what you said for them to act this way?
customer service
I called the 923 Main Road Johns Island SC location today(9/20/18 around 215/230p.m) to ask a very SIMPLE question. Before I could even ask anything, the female employee starting saying before u ask anything my manager will be here after 5 because she dont have anything to do with it(still have not gotten the chance to ask) My simple question was about something my Grandfather might have lost in parking lot to see if anyone turned it in. Still over talking me, yelling for no reason. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what. She hung up while I was trying to get info on calling back. She didn't want to give me her name or Manager name. I called back to see if I could get any info about the manager and she still has an attitude...didn't answer phone correctly. Asking me "I dnt have anything else to do with my time" and hung up again. She also stated go buy another one while hanging. I hve never had an experience like this with this store. This is ridiculous and something needs to be done!
truck driver
September 18th, 2018 I stopped at a Dollar General in Clay City, Indiana. I parked in a regular parking spot, right next to about 4 other vehicles. I started walking into the store and someone started yelling at me, I turned around and it was one of your driver who was loading a bunch of racks, he told me to move my vehicle, he was going to back up. I could plainly see that he still had quite of few racks to load. I told him I would be right out, which I was in about 3 minutes. He yelled this at me " I'm gonna back up and and hit your car!", well in the first place he would have had to hit 4 or 5 other cars to get to mine! After making my quick purchase I walked out to get in my vehicle, the car next to mine was backing out, and immediately another vehicle parked in it's place, same thing! This truck driver in into a rant again, this time using the "F" word, with every other word. These people had kids with them. This happened around 6PM. Thank You
pen exploded
I am livid I have been buying my pens there for years my best girlfriend just had bought me a shirt that cost 40.00 and she died right after unexpected the stupid pen leaked ink all over my shirt and my arm and no it was in my hand not a pocket it happened up on my shoulder. I have cried and cried it ruined it. It was the last thing she gave me now I cannot wear it. I have the stupid pen. I want to know what you can do for me. This will haunt me forever to lose something so special. Please take care of this . I spend alot of money at DG. the bar code is [protected] my name is Linda Staley
5820 Cedar Ave Raytown, Missouri [protected] again this has just made me sick.
Your anger is displaced. You need to relax.
Couldn't you take the shirt your friend bought you to the place she got it and exchange it for the same shirt?
employee
A cashier named Starla Campbell at the Wattsburg store is completely rude to certain people, tonight as we were in the dollar general she basically refused to serve us at the register. She mouthed the words thank you to the other employee for taking us at the other register, because of who we were, no other reason. I have come to expect a high quality of service at this store until she was hired. The way it is now, I avoid going to your store because of her as do other people I know. If this is the type of professional that you choose to hire, perhaps your hiring practices need adjusted.
"I avoid going to your store". lmao who do you think cares? From the sound of it, you're just doing everyone a favor.
Sounds like Starla was actually doing you a favor. She told the other cashier thank you. That doesn't sound rude to me. Sounds like she's being professional.
store management
The dollar general located at 10247 Hiwaay 72 Rogersville Al 35652, is in desperate need of proper management. The store is disorganized, bins/boxes sitting everywhere and when you ask the manager if they actually have something in stock the reply I just received was yeah we do but I don't know where it's at. Between the clutter and inventory which needs to be sorted there is no room for customers much less a buggy. send help to clean up this store so the staff actually knows what is in their store.

You need to go in and change the phone number on your account. Digital coupons are linked to your phone number, dg is not a mind reader they don't know you changed things and you are the only one who can fix it. They have a tech support you can call to help you but THIS IS NOT AT STORE LEVEL AND THE STORE DOES NOT CONTROL IT. Don't take it out on them.
