I am a store manager. I called in with an on going pain I attempted to correct with Advil or Aleve. Seeking medical attention for pain is not something I jump to because our job consist of walking, standing, lifting, etc for 50 to 60 hours a week. The pain was to the point I couldn't walk without limping. I called on Monday 8-21 and was told to take Advil or Aleve and if pain continued to seek medical attention. I already told her I was and would like my ankle looked at. The lady spoke as if I was annoying her and gave me the info on where to go. I let her know I would go that same day after work. Once there, no paperwork was received so the nurse at the desk called and was rudly told by a Michelle that it was being investigated. So while I sat in waiting room I called the same number and also spoke to a Michelle. Different one cause she said she had not spoken to anyone and was happy to send fax over so I could get treatment. A prescription was sent to the pharmacy and again, I was told I had to call Risk because the injury was being reviewed. That's fine...I was given the name Jennifer Jimison and her extension. I left a message Monday late afternoon and never received a return call. I called again Tuesday and received another voice mail. Today I called again and another rude lady gave me a different name, Tracy. I left a message for Tracy a little after 1...no return call at the time of this long message. I mentioned I was a store manager, if I treated my customers with the disregard I have been given...I would be fired. Maybe they have a heavy workload...they wouldn't make it as a store manager. Reminder, we are your customer, treat us with respect as we do you.
hello my name is Michelle banks #[protected] and I fell in your store Oct 16 2017 and I talk to Tina Briley one time and she has not got back to me at all now I been going to the hospital pain of my head and back my doctor bills are adding up I'm trying not to get a lawyer and do the court thing but I see no other choice.my number is [protected]
Hi Michelle. I am going through the same issue. Hospital bills got bigger and I am still having pain. I slipped and fell at a Dollar General in KC on 2/11/19. I too have only spoke with my claims representative (Suzanne Peet) back mid February. I have called numerous times and even left a message with Suzanne Peet's supervisor Loise Witherspoon. Still nothing! So like you, I wasn't trying to bring legal action either. As you said, there's no other options. No call backs, nothing! I even looked up the CEO/Chairman. Called the number and it's another extension to 1-800 #. Entered his name, wouldn't put me through. So Monday I have an appointment. They should be calling us and not vice versa. Good luck Michelle.
This is the same response of no return calls or response that I have received from Ms. Peet.
I am having the same exact problem with Suzanne Pete she will not call me back we’re going on three months now she will not answer my phone calls I’m going to bed business bureau and I’m going to make a claim with the big Lawyer up in Boston so obviously this is what I have to do I can’t believe that I’m reading this then this is the way they handle their complaints this is unbelievable
I am having this same issue with Suzanne Pete, not responding as it relates to representation of a person falling in the Dollar General store.
I am also having difficulty reaching Suzanne Peet. She never answers her phone and she will not return calls. My situation is related to falling at their store due to a broken water drain that they had covered up with a rug and were aware of the needed repairs for 2 1/2 years. It took Suzanne approximately 2 months to return my calls for the first time. Now I'm trying to reach her again as a follow up and I have been calling for weeks. It is unbelievable how Dollar General does not seem to care about their customers or their reputation.
I am having the same issue with Ms. Pete no response what so ever. The fall happened in August 2022, she called me once and have not returned any calls or emails.
I had an a fall at the Dollar General Store in Hereford Tx, My luck the General Manger Jerry Martinez was there and he made a report n Employee seen my fall and had told Mr Martinez GM he was trying to help me up also another customer ask me if I was okay, I have been trying to get in touch with Tina Briley but I have not been able to speak to her, i left a lot of message for her to return my calls but she has not gotten in touch with me
A total joke! I ended up getting an infection in my foot after breaking it at work. Ate a hole in my foot took them a week to approve treatment. And needed wound care took over a month to approve that. I’m scared now for life. And still in pain. Im still getting unpaid medical bills sent to me in my name which is illegal, that has now turned into collections.
A Dollar General delivery semi truck hit my van's front fender, in the parking lot, while it was parked. They tried multiple times to pull forward and back, to back up to the loading dock. Eventually (I assume) they gave up after hitting me and came into the store to find out who owned the vehicle and asked me to move it. The side of the semi was literally about an inch or two away from my van. So at 1st I couldn't see if they hit me or not. I asked them and they said no. I backed my van up, parked and went back into the store to complete my purchase and came out to leave. That's when I noticed that they DID hit me. I went back into the store and notified the cashier of what happened. The delivery truck was still there unloading. The cashier came out looked at my front fender, took pictures and while I was out there, a woman called out to me and said that she was witness to it and gave me her phone number and told me that she's a merchandiser that just happens to be out there before her shift. The cashier called the store manager and the store manager called the district manager. And I was told that I had to fill out a customer incident report which I did. I was told that I did not have to call the police because they got a statement from me and the delivery guys who hit me along with pictures. I was told that I would be contacted by Dollar General to fix my van. The incident took place on October 28th. I hadn't heard anything, so I called November 7th and waited 40 minutes on the phone before it sent me to a voicemail. No call back. I called again today November 14th, waited another 40 minutes and was sent to voicemail yet again. This is unacceptable.
