To Whom It May Concern and/or Todd J Vasos DG CEO,
I had a terrible experience at your Inglewood DG location on Dec. 22 when I was about to purchase a large amount of laundry detergents. As the Cashier was scanning our items she asked if we had coupons. My daughter handed over some online printed coupons directly from the manufacturer website. The cashier suddenly stop scanning our items and said we don't take photo copy coupons. I explained to the cashier that the coupons are printed online from the manufacturer website and they are valid coupons. I have never had a problem with the coupons before. So she call over her supervisor who briefly look over the coupons who also said that they don't take photo copied coupons I explained the same to the supervisor as I have already explained to the cashier that the coupons are online printed directly from the manufacturer website. So the supervisor calls the manager (who was not on site) the cashier hand over a cellphone to speak with the manager the manager over the phone also tells me (for the 3rd time) we do not take photo copy coupons. I explained to the manager that the coupons are not photo copies. The manager at this point asked to be pass back to the cashier. The supervisor then calls another store manager the cashier hands over the cellphone for me to speak with a second store manager named Danny who insults me over the phone stating "That I'm not to take all of the detergents of the shelves I need to leave some for other customers."
I told Danny that the DG ad did not specify a limit to buy. At this point I was severely disappointed by the customer service I received. None of the supervisor or managers was of no help and clearly none of them do not know DG coupon policies. I end up not purchasing anything because of the terrible customer service I'd receive. I really like your store and the wonderful sales that your store has. I later look at your website on coupon policies and your store indeed honors online printed coupons off the manufacturer website.
Disappointed,
Shirley Beltran
As a previous store manager, maybe I can help to assist you with your complaint. Dollar tree don't take photocopied coupons. Hope this helps.
Sorry, I meant Doller General, they don't take photocopies either. No need to thank me for my advice, I'm just glad I could be of assistance.
Do you run a launderette or are your clothes just extremely dirty? Either way, Dollar General doesn't accept photocopied coupons. Glad my advice was helpful.
