worker complaining about manager
I am a 8 month pregnant stock employee at Dollar Tree in Garden City, NY location. I have been repeatedly harassed by the freight manager. My district manager and employee relations and store manager are aware of this situation. Even tho being pregnant I am still capable of doing 3 to 4 uboats in a span of 5 hours or less. I was told that I couldn't eat a yogurt that I brought from home, even tho they do not know I am a diabetic. I was yelled at which I recordered and told that I was not cared about which is fine. This incident brought me to a breaking point which I started to cry about the situation. I have been an stock employee for almost 2 years and have never once raised my voice. The freight manager whom I used to be her boss at another company is constantly telling me that I did not like her at the other company. I wasn't aware of her disliking towards me and now I am being harassed where I work. I'm constantly being touched by her meaning she is rubbing on my belly when i repeatedly asked her not to.
rude manager
I just visited the local Dollar Tree on Hwy 202 in Anniston, AL. I stood in a one register line for 20mins. I knocked on managers door to see if he could open another register. His response was he was on lunch break and couldn't assist until after his lunch. Seriously! After 30mins in line he called someone from the back to open a register. He could assist him in logging in & getting the register open ... am I to assume he was off break? Doubtful!
Apologizing first. Sorry. I have two additional complaints about the Hwy 202 in Anniston, AL store. I've been sitting on these two complaints for 6 months now. The shelves are empty in the store. Confused because when you walk past stock room it's so full you barely can walk through it. Either get them some help or figure out what's going on. Second issue. The parking lot is nasty. It's full of trash & cigarette butts right at the front door. I asked manager why it's not cleaner and was told that they pay someone to clean it. I'm not sure I believe them but if so they need to be fired. Take pride in your store and neighborhood and keep them clean!
service
Around 5:50 pm on 11/14/2017, I entered dollar general on colonel Glenn street in little rock Arkansas. When I entered there was an older black lady with gray hair and glasses. She yelled from across the store for me to leave my bag in the front on the floor. I was very upset and embarrassed as well. I am 29 years old and my bag is about 9 inches high and 6 inches wide, very small bag (sachel). A lady was standing in front of me and I responded to the clerk that told me to leave my bag by asking how come the lady in front of me can bring in a bag 3x my bag size and it be ok. I was profiled as a thief or I feel that I was. I have never been so disrespected in my life. If the store is having problems with theft there is a better way to handle it. I totally understand if people are stealing but as customers we should all be treated the same way. Now what if I had left my bag at the front door and when I got back it was missing? Very very unprofessional store location. If the comment was ment for kids then it should have been understood that I am not a child. After I said I will not leave my bag at the front on the floor she then stated well bring it to me and I'll keep it up here. And I said what? I'm not a child. And then I decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope something is done about this situation because no one deserves that kind of treatment. Thanks for your time and consideration. Should you need to contact me my name is Alvin Willis and my phone number is [protected]. My email is [protected]@muleriders. saumag. edu.
would it had been better if a white person with glasses yells about leaving a bag in the front?
coupon acceptance
On Sunday, Nov 11th, I visited the DOllar General #5444 (Ledbetter shopping Center). I had coupons for the itms I was purchasing. The cashier was having issues with the coupon scanning and called the manager (I assume). The manager never once even looked at the coupon, but immediately said they couldn't accept it, and just walked away.
As a customer, I need the employees to KNOW why they are denying a coupon and not just say "i can't take it." In many cases, if the coupon is EXACTLY for the correct item, I expect them to take care of the customer and report the issue to your technology department.
My career field consists of updating computer systems software and services. I never know when there is an issue until someone reports it to me. Once I receive the report, I can make changes to my new update to resolve their issue, I KNOW THIS IS NOT HAPPENING AT THIS DOLLAR TREE, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER LOCATIONS and it should be, versus just turning away customers.
PLease help, this is occurring too frequently

rude cashier
I was shopping at the store in Farmington Hills, Michigan today buying glasses. The cashier on register 3 was extremely rude and didn't seem to want to wrap all the glasses and sent me to a line that was closed because that cashier was going home. While ringing me up the one on #3 kept running her mouth to the other cashier who's name is Michelle on front of everyone. I know Michelle has worked at this store a long time and this other girl is new. It's my right for employees to treat customer and other employees the way she did.
the condition of a store
This is second time that I have written to you about a Dollar Tree... This store is so nasty and filthy that it is not fit for people to be in it.. The store looks like it has never been vacuumed, the aisles are always cluttered, if there is no room on a peg for merchandise, the employees just dump items on the bottom shelf.. This store is never clean and the employees act like it is no big deal... This store should not be opened for business... Someone from Corporate needs to come into this store and clean it up! We of this neighborhood should not have to go into this store and shop... Will someone please go into this store unannounced and look at it! You will be shocked! This store should not be associated with the Dollar Tree name.. Do something about this nasty store..Store #301

cashier attitude
I was at Dollar Tree #1559 in Venice Florida this morning. I explained to the cashier my purchase of several ceramic cups did not need to be wrapped, and that she could simply set them in the box as I did not have far to go. She responded with "well they are your problem once you leave anyway. Use patience with me because I am not feeling well and I know that's not your problem but yes it is". While I should have called for a manager immediately, I was so shocked someone serving the public could be so rude. She was an older lady with blond short hair and glasses. I did not take time to get her name. There was no excuse for her rudeness, which began with me while she was still checking out the customer in front of me.
I was completely pleasant which is why I did not immediately ask for the manager. She was rude to the person in line before me and after me. patience had nothing to do with it. One in her position should not be making a comment as she did to any customer. And I might add, if you were not there, why do you feel the need to keep commenting on something you know absolutely nothing about?
No. The rudeness was the comment that I better have patience with her because she was not feeling well and although that was not my problem, it was. I could have dropped the box and broke every piece and it would have been my fault. I have no issue accepting that (and everything made it home safely I might add). If you were not there to hear the tone she used, how can you possibly know by only reading one part of what was said to me?!
sunday's newspaper
Purchased three newspapers from the dollar tree on 13 november 2017 and all of the coupons were missing. Called the store and the cashier said there was nothing she could do. How about refund my money. I told her I had my receipt. She still said there was nothing she could do. So there are clearly people there taking the coupons out of the paper and the store is still selling them to customers and when we call to get our mone back they claim there is nothing they can do. Poor customer service!
lack of customer service
On 11/11/17 at about 5pm, I was checking out at the dollar tree on hwy 98 in hattiesburg, ms. The cashier was having a conversation on her cell phone so loud that she could be heard at the back of the store. When I asked her did she think it was inappropriate to be on her phone while working, she got an attitude and said that she was on the phone with someone about work. She was clearly on the phone with her mom talking about thanksgiving. Instead of apologizing, she acted as if she did nothing wrong and proceeded to argue with me in front of other customers. I went back the next day to speak with the store manager and show her the video and she also had a rude attitude and acted as if her worker hadn't done anything wrong. I will definitely not be returning to this store. Their customer service skills are less than poor.
This seems to be happening in a lot of the stores. I had a similar experience with rude employees, including the store manager, recently at the store in Prestonsburg, Ky that I just posted a complaint about. I honestly think these store managers have no accountability for their actions or their employees actions.
inappropriate relato ship within the workplace
I am a dollartree employee at coffeyville kansas whom has taken notice of an inappropriate relationship in the work place between assistant manager casandra (KC) and worker person they are always together in the store she's working he's there off clock puppy dog eyeing her being glued to her hip preventing her from clear judement and efficiency as an assistant manager she takes multiple smoke breaks with him where the practically sit on each other's laps while cashier gets backed up no one says anything because of no place to go and be taken serious with no backlash

worker
On 11/9/2017 I went to dollar tree at 3 pm to prepay for 20 balloons that needed ready by 5. I returned 5;10 no balloons at all. It took first worker to tell me she just clocked out, other was waiting on customers, finally I just got one stocking shelves because at that point I'm frantic now. She at least helped me and got done as fast as she could. I'm not a petty person but this was for a balloon launch for my daughters birthday who had passed away 1/13/17 at 33 with 4 kids. It literally broke me down into tears as I left store, needless to say of course I was late and balloons had to be launched in dark. No really good it was sad enough but poor babies couldn't even see how far balloons would go. So disappointed and heartbroken!
cashier-janet
She was basically yelling at me to go to someone else's line. She obviously has issues at home and is bringing them to work. That was uncalled for. I had a bad day already and she made it worse. I will pray for her. She desperately needs it. And I said not one word. And then she proceeded to talk ugly about me, making fun of me the the people she was checking out.
I do want to say Cassidy is very nice. Excellent employee!
a ride employee who treated me disrespectfully
On Wednesday 11/8/2017 at approximately 5:00 pm. I was in the Delmar NY location when I asked for assistance from a cashier who was a black woman. I'm up in yrs and I didn't hear what she said. She started yelling at me I told you 4 times we are out of kitchen timers. Well with in the next 5 secs. As I asked her if they could be with the kitchen gadgets. The 4 times she told me she was oug of them were 4 times wrong . If she had taken 5 steps down the isle they were hanging right there! I received no apology. I guess Dollar Tree is now hiring rude employees. I don't believe I will ever go back there. I will tell me friends how disrespectful The employee there is. She then proceeded to talk abut her business to a friend who was in line before me using colorful language about taking those people's Christmas presents back! Dollar Tree what have you done to your store I used to like going there!

customer service
On November 9th 2017 I visited Dollar Tree store number 1398 located at 3755 Renee Drive in myrtle beach, sc. At this time there were several employees in the office and only one register open. The reason I know this is because the cashier the only cashier working stopped working to engage in conversation with another member of the team (who did not open a register but stopped the cashier from working) and discussed how many people were sitting in the office. The line was at least 8 people long. Once I finally made it to the register, another employee (who did not open a register) stepped out of the office and stood next to the cashier. The cashier asked me a series of questions. I let the cashier know I was not interested in answering the questions. The other employee, who could clearly see i was not interested in engaging, proceeded to ask me another series of questions. Including questions the cashier already asked. After waiting for a prolonged period of time, tension was high. Your employees could benefit from a verbal deescalation training. The behavior, from what seemed like management, could have easily initiated an altercation. I don't know what kind of business you are trying to run, but this is an example of a poorly run business.
rude employees
Sooo... I'm at the dollar tree at the target plaza in mays landing and being that i'm having bladder issues I really have no bladder control, I head to the restroom and see a sign on the door that says no access without an associate, so I ask my son to go get an associate for me.. I'm literally about to pee my pants.. The lady at the register says oh, our new manager doesn't allow anyone to use the bathroom (The sign on the door says otherwise) I hear this exchange, I try to head out to find a restroom but my bladder says otherwise. I break the rule and head to the bathroom before the pee trickles down my leg.. After I pee, I head back out to pay for the items in my cart, I get to the exit door and get stopped by pamela who proceeds to say what am I doing back there so I tell he, I needed to use the bathroom, she points at the sign and says you're not supposed to be back there without an associate, so I tell her that I did ask for assistance to use the restroom but was told that, no I couldn't use it (So i'm confused? Either I can't at all or I can't without an associate" so she proceeds to tell me that I should not have used the bathroom (I apologize and explain that I just could not wait another moment and I didn't want to urinate on myself or the floor, she really doesn't care to hear this and continues to rudely tell me how I should have gotten someone (I tried) then she says since I was back there that she would have to search me because maybe I stole something... (My full cart at the front of the store should make it evident that I was not there to shoplift in the bathroom.) I drop my bag and take off my coat and said please search me, I have no items on my person. She looks at me, sorta glances at my wide open purse laying on the floor and walks away. Heads to the front of the store while arguing with me that I should not have gone back there and what if I got hurt.. Blah blah blah.. All the way to the front where my son waited with my cart. Now i'm getting heated cause she just won't stop.. I'm at the register and i'm saying what do u want me to do, I had to pee? Like at this point she was just rambling on about the rule.. The other cashier and the shoppers didn't say a word and things were beginning to get loud.. I was practically yelling.. Like what did you want me to do? If the other cashier wouldn't have lied about not letting anyone use the bathroom and gotten someone to escort me then this would not have happened. I'm sorry I had to pee.. I basically then asked her repeatedly, did you want to search me or my belongings or call the police down to search me, she really wasn't responding. She then says I would like to ring you up, I told her that I would be writing an email to corporate and that I did not want to be rung up, that I would not shop there anymore, and in the 15 years I had been shopping in that store that i've never been treated like a criminal nor have I ever had to be escorted to the bathroom or been told I may not use it.. I asked her one more time if she wanted to search me before I left at which time she still didn't respond. I'm just shocked and [censored] that was my go to store, no more!
the rudeness of a worker and the cleanliness of the store
I was in the Dollar Tree store in Schenectady New York in the Hannaford Plaza it was me my brother and sister. my brother was trying to have a nice conversation asking the lady how she was doing he had asked her what was her name she really responded by saying why I said my brother was trying to be nice, and my brother told her that he seen everybody else in the store with name tags on and she wasn't wearing one. she said that she's been there for 11 years and she wears it sometimes. but the way she said it t was very rude. the store is it's disgusting broken stuff on the floor there's stuff all over the floors some places are hard to walk through and the place is just really dirty. I do have a video that a friend made but it won't let me upload it.
Is your brother pretty young?
previous employee
I was employed for dollar tree for about two years until october 22nd, 2017. I was offered a promotion by dm debbie, which was eventually changed to a sideways step. I informed dm debbie and my sm linda that I was going to have to find another job. I informed sm linda when I interviewed for another job. I informed sm linda that I got the job and would stay the two weeks and do the two trucks we revieved within 6 days of each other. On october 21 I was told I would need to work out two more weeks. I did not and turned in my keys. I was expecting a bonus from septembers sales of atleast 225.00 and didn't receive it. I was told that I didnt recieve it because I terminated my employment prior to payout. I earned that bonus a month prior. I want to know why I have not recieved it.
employee complaint
Had to stand in line with 10 other people, no other registers open and the computer was locked up so no one is being helped. Employee made numerous requests for help, no one came, regardless that there were other employees running around the rear of the store. Finally, "Donna" the manager came up telling us all to "settle down", and that she "had an order to receive first out back". Just saying sorry for the wait would have worked better. When she says to the crowd of customers, "what do you expect, you all had to come to a Dollar Tree to shop". What a burn on all of us. When I finally purchased my one item, Donna makes a sarcastic remark as I walk out to the whole store "have a nice day".
Well, I've never liked that store anyway, its' always dirty and cluttered, and you always have a long wait. I'll be buying from other stores now.
management
I was hired at this location. When I was hired the manager told me "If you have any issues with you schedule let me know" I have 4 kids and I was hired part time. After starting I found out one of the managers was friends with my oldest son. The first time I worked with her she called my daughter names. The second time she told me my son hated me. Then I had to come in late because my son was sick. I had a Dr. note and they refused to look at it. I asked to change my schedule for a school function of my sons. The next week I was given only 4 hours to work. The manager who know my children said he did it to make me quit.
