Feedback manipulation by falsely claiming extortion.
It seems that sellers are manipulating feedback by falsely claiming purchaser extortion to remove negative reviews made by their clients.
This method significantly disadvantages the purchaser as ebay arbitrarily makes a decision and removes the negitive feedback immediately and without seeking any involvement from the purchasing party. Furthermore this method moves the purchaser into a position where there are no available options to appeal the feedback removal or address the sellers dishonest and manipulative behavior.
Desired policy change:
The Ebay not undermine the integrity of the customer feedback process by permanently removing negative feedback without first seeking and considering the input provided by both involved parties .
Incident details:
Date: 28th January 2021.
Item id: [protected]
Seller: bonita777_64
Desired outcome: Provide purchasers with an avenue to appeal a feedback removal decision.
Customer service did not reverse charge as told?
On January 18th we put up a mamiya camera for sale with an auction and buy it now price ITEM # [protected]. I called customer service on 1/22 to inquire why the "Buy It Now" option had been removed. The representative told me to end the auction and to list it again as a Buy It Now, with make an offer.
I followed here instructions and relisted it. It sold on January 26th. I was charged a selling fee on the ended auction as well as the completed Auction. Later I spoke to customer service and the representative told me she would reverse the ended auction fee of #188.21. That was never done. I now understand how the various auctions work. However I was told that that transaction fee would be reversed. How do I accomplish this? You must have notes in my account of the conversations I had with Customer Service.
Please reverse that charge as I was informed, That you.

Feedback manipulation and false accusation
I purchased and paid for an item. I later received an email from the seller (not threw ebay) requesting more money on top of the original postage cost, clearly a breach of ebay's police. The seller cancelled the sale. I left legitimate feed back simply stating (this seller can not be trusted) to which ebay removed the feed back and accused me of extortion.
Received emails in order of receipt

Thank you for the email and I am sorry for the confusion.
But the $99.00 is the price for the shipping fees.
I think the email was suppose to be regarding the difference owed.
The total cost for shipping is $99.00.
The difference owed to ship the item is $29.95.
If you like to pay the difference we can ship.
If not, we understand and will refund immediataley.
Thank you

eBay policy breach: Feedback Extortion
Hello riii3000,
We've looked at your eBay account and see that some of your actions do not follow eBay's Feedback Extortion policy. As a result, we've taken the following steps:
- The following feedback you left has been removed:
Using the feedback or detailed seller ratings (DSR) systems in exchange for any of the following isn't allowed:
Buyer:
- Forcing a seller to provide goods and services that weren't included in the original item's description.
- Demanding a return or refund.
Seller:
- Requiring buyers to leave positive feedback or DSR in exchange for receiving the purchased item.
- Offering monetary compensation or an additional item in exchange for positive feedback or DSR.
For more information on this eBay feedback policy, go to:
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/feedback-extortion.html
More specific details are provided below.
We understand you may not have been aware of this policy or the importance eBay places on it. Now is a great time to review our guidelines and ensure future listings comply with them. Our guidelines can be found here:
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/feedback-extortion.html
Note that future breaches of this policy could result in limits on your ability to buy and sell on eBay, and the suspension of your eBay account for an unlimited time period.

RE: Re: eBay policy breach: Feedback Extortion SR# 1-[protected]
Hello Alan,
Thank you for contacting us today. It's concerning to hear that you receive this kind of email.
I was able to review the details of this feedback and I can confirm that this is inline with our policy. This is a valid feedback pertaining to your experience with the transaction considering the seller has cancelled the sale just because you did not pay for the additional cost.
Although we can no longer reinstate the feedback, what we can do is to report the seller as well as the person who removed your feedback. As for the seller, we do not allow them to ask for additional payments especially when it is separate from the original purchase cost. This is clearly violating our policy. It's our top priority to ensure eBay remains a safe and reputable place and we take reports of members not following our rules very seriously.
The actions we take can include removing a listing, sending the member a warning, limiting buying and selling privileges, or even suspending the account. In some cases this means that the member may be allowed to continue to use eBay, but on a limited and closely monitored basis.
We greatly appreciate your time for bringing this to our attention. We'll make sure that this won't happen again.
Thank you for choosing eBay. Have a good one!
Kind regards,
Arlene G.

Hello,
Please note, if it was removed, it was because you breached eBay's policies, we have reported you and you have been blocked.
Note
I have not been blocked! but this is evidence that ebay say one thing and to one cliant and has not reprimanded the seller. ebay feed back can not be trusted as it is manipulated.
Desired outcome: Feed back reinstated and deformation compesation
Fees not being refunded
I just started listing items on eBay and immediately after the auction was listed, I noticed that there was a reserve price in the auction which was a mistake. I immediately went back in and took out the reserve price and changed it back to an auction with the starting price that I wanted and no reserve. I just saw that my account has been charged $35 for a reserve price auctions even though the listing was changed back to a non-reserve auction.
I have tried to help in contact through eBay multiple times and the message it continuously gives me is "Sorry Gary, live support is currently unavailable".
When I try to use live chat, I always get the message "Sorry, this contact channel Will be closed before an agent is available to speak with you today. Please try again tomorrow". This is the message I'm getting in the morning!
When I call the phone number to talk to somebody there, there's just an automated recording that says eBay no longer provide support through this phone number and that I have to do it online, but apparently there's no way to contact eBay online either, yet they continue to take my money.
How is it right that eBay takes my money even when they shouldn't and yet when there's a problem, there's no way to rectify it? It doesn't appear I have any recourse. To me this is fraudulent and outright theft. If it's happening to me, then it's happening to other people too.
What can I do?
Desired outcome: I want my reserve fees credited back to me. I don’t have any reserve auctions!
Misery loves company.
I've complained to the BBB. WASTE OF TIME.
You see, in a fascist nation BIG BUSINESS defends BIG BUSINESS.
Their egregious business practices
I've been shopping on Ebay for 3 years. NEVER AGAIN.
If you order a lot and don't receive your orders OR the order arrives not as described PREPARE for a NIGHTMARE! You will be accused of not following policy... Yes, you will be accused of returning too many items NOT the seller!
Whatever you do on Ebay, do NOT trust advertisements or descriptions on objects sold on Ebay; particularly coming from India and China!
If you dispute charges with your credit card company, Ebay will 'punish' you by locking your account.
Ebay has many other egregious business practices, such as making their website as unfriendly as possible: finding items, contacting Ebay directly, very uncaring staff and so much more.
My credit card has had to give me 'courtesy credits" because Ebay has refused to act with ethics.
Desired outcome: I want the world to know about Ebay's egregious business practices.
Sold item & shipped to ebay global shipping. EGS lost item & did not contact or reimburse customer.
I received an email from Paypal on stating that they have returned $375.67 from my account to reimburse the buyer for the product that eBay Global Shipping lost. I made several attempts for eBay to take care of the buyer and myself but got nowhere. I continued to get nowhere. Then all this happened with Paypal. I shipped the product and it was received by EGS and I was told via chat that I was not responsible after it reached EGS and that someone would contact buyer which did not happen. This item was rare and I am now without the item, sold $, eBay charges, Paylpal charges, shipping cost and chargeback charges. I have now lost time, money and product due to eBay. I would appreciate help with my issue.

8-28-20 CUSTOMER CONTACTED ME VIA EMAIL REGARDING PACKAGE NOT DELIVERED
Hi Robin,
Stil no delivery yet? Not panicking yet. During the current times, and many people shipping items and not going out to shop, couriers are busier than ever. What Courier is going to deliver? FedEx, Purolator, or UPS? Do you know? The tracking shows the item is in Canada. I wonder if there is a number to call, or courier to contact for an update? What are your thoughts?
Thank you,
Darren

Refusing appeal of closed case #[protected]
I have documented new proof that the item was not delivered to my address & according to ebay's own terms & conditions, I am entitled to appeal a closed case within 30 days. But ebay has closed my case just today & made the appeals process nearly impossible! When I finally figured out how to appeal, all I get is a notice that the case has been closed. There is no longer any way to directly contact ebay to resolve issues. Customer service is non-existent! Ebay is violating their own terms & conditions, as well as their own money back guarantee!
Desired outcome: I WANT MY ITEM OR MY MONEY BACK!
I possess the UPS Tracking Record which clearly shows that there was a change of address during the shipping process. I also possess a record tracking the delivery to an address which is NOT MY ADDRESS. As my eBay registered address has not changed in over 6 years, I can PROVE that I have NOT received this shipment. I am also in direct contact with the local UPS Dispatch & THEY CAN VERIFY that this shipment was NOT delivered to me. Finally, despite the seller's reply on opening the case, I have NOT received any additional shipping updates & therefore, tracking of a replacement shipment IS IMPOSSIBLE. I have NOT RECEIVED THIS ITEM.
Refund for returned item to seller!
Tried to send data to e-bay the delivery information and tracking # from UPS!
It was sent to e-bay in the time allotment but e-bay claims not to have received it and has terminated pursuit of my refund claim!
I sent e-bay the UPS tracking # and delivery information on Jan. 13 well within the time limit!
Again, the UPS tracking # 1ZE35Y60039299873
Delivered to seller on Monday 01/11/2021 at 1:422 PM.
To: LINCOLN, NE US
Wt. 48 lbs.
Impossible to get correct e-bay address for return information required!
May not continue with e-bay purchases in the future because of these difficulties! Rodney Norwell nickelb847
Desired outcome: Refund which e-bay promised me with return info provided.
Ebay not clear whether order has been canceled and no way to contact company to verify
I ordered an item (a passenger-side mirror) this morning (January 18, 2021 just before 7 AM) and immediately realized it wasn't what I wanted. I sent a message to the seller telling him I didn't want it. The seller was newyorkrestomod (67446). The item ID number is [protected]. I wasn't informed that I canceled the order. I received two e-mails at 5:23 PM telling me that the item will be shipped tomorrow. I called my bank, and they said that the charge is pending. However, the item isn't listed in my ebay account. I didn't save a copy of this message I sent to the seller this morning, but the message I sent at 7:12 PM says, "I ordered a passenger-side mirror this morning, but it wasn't what I was looking for, so i canceled the order right after I ordered it. Nevertheless, I received an e-mail telling me that it's shipping tomorrow. Please cancel my order, don't send the item, and let me know that you've done so. I'll also contact my bank to let them know not to charge my card if they haven't already done so."
Desired outcome: I want the order canceled, the item not shipped, my account not to be charged, and to be informed that all this has been done. My e-mail address in [protected]@gmail.com.

I ordered what was purported to be Vintage Sevres Porcelain Set of 2 Blue, white and Gold Plates on EBAY. Rec'd them on or about 12/02/20. Knew right away they were not Sevres. Cheap construction plus
no Sevres mark. Contacted the seller(s) by telephone and demanded refund. I was first told I would receive a return mail voucher. Then they stonewalled me. I returned the item and again asked for refund. No response whatsoever to date.

Buying/Selling Policy
I've got a email from ebay basically telling me off for something when I believe I done nothing wrong. I saw a item for sale which had to be viewed before purchasing. The seller gave me his address and I went to view the item. The item was too damaged so I didnt purchase it. The seller continued selling the item. If I wanted the item I would of purchased the item via ebay while I was there. But they told me this is not allowed
Desired outcome: Apologie and change policy
International final value fees.
Posted to my facebook page.
Ebay sellers alert. Be sure to check your managed payment transaction reports for international final value fees.
You can stop international shipment, but will be charged international final fees for sales to buyers registered outside the united states for shipments inside the united states. This applies even if you have selected "no international shipping" while listing products.
Lack of support for people who are scammed on ebay auction site. Ebay
eBay says they have a guarantee that people won't be cheated. They actually do nothing, no phone number is available - they just refer you to their parent company, PayPal.
Dealing with eBay and PayPal is indescribably difficult and complicated. They have made the process sooooo cumbersome that most people just give up, especially if only small amounts are involved.
For instance, right now I am in the process of trying to get a refund for $12 from a Chinese seller who misrepresented his product. Even if the seller agrees to replace the product, I'm still stuck with the return shipping costs, which PayPal promises to repay, but won't because the original Chinese seller won't communicate with me OR return my money, conditions for PayPal's shipping cost refund.
eBay/PayPal used to be decent, but since it has been invaded by mostly Chinese scammers with no support for buyers who have been cheated and no way to speak to anyone at eBay, it doesn't make sense to waste money on eBay.
Desired outcome: I want my money back.
It seems that it’s a lot of China sellers that are SCAMMING, and misrepresenting their items. They’re also sending out incorrect and cheap items. Seem like eBay turn a blind eye to these things even when you show them proof. Ebay rather protect them so they can keep getting their seller fees. Which eBay get a good chunk of the profit when the items are listed and sold. Ebay also close appeal cases very fast when and find it in the China sellers favor. Especially when they see the messages and obvious proof between the customers and the fraud sellers. It’s all about that sellers fee that they receive from the CHINA sellers. Report them to the Better Business Bureau.
EBAY is allowing scammers to sell RTX 3080 graphics card pictures in the computer parts, graphics card section. They allow the scammers to list the items like the following, (This should have been listed under "EBAY ART"

Item price $1, 125.00

I purchased this item, only to find out AFTER that it is only a picture of a graphics card and not the real thing. Also the interesting thing about this listing is that is was NOT in the EBay Art section, it was listed under the computer parts, graphics card section. EBay is not enforcing where these scumbags post this trash If this was a legitimate listing it would have been under Ebay, Art. If I do not get my money back I am going to file a lawsuit against these idiots at EBay for perpetrating fraud. If I was intent on purchasing Art I would not have been biding on a supposed graphics card in the computer parts section. WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING THESE SCAM LISTINGS EBAY?
Further, the item was listed as

no help from your resolution service on-line
I sold an item to an individual back in Nov. 2020. They didnt want, It was three ellis island one dollar coins. I agreed to have them return to me and I would refund the money. They only sent back one of the coins. The resolution center told me after one month that they would award the buyer a refund and I was out two of my coins. They never contacted me for my side of the transaction. So they essentially let the buyer steal two of my coins and get all their money back. I find this very frustrating, one because they got away with it, and two nobody ever contacted me . This is ebay transaction #[protected]. I'm sure I will not be contacted knowing the history of ebay, but at least I can voice my opinion. I can also let people I know not to do business with a company who doesn't listen to both sides of a sale
Desired outcome: i want my money back that was stolen from me
Borner Cutter V1 ClassicLine Basic Set ( [protected] )
ORDER DATE 28 jul 2020, ORDER NUMBER [protected]-[protected]
SOLD BY bornergermany-es(1 item)
We paid for this item but the company never delivered the product and kept giving a new expected delivery date, we emailed the company Borner regularly asking when it would be delivered, the eventually contacted ebay who opened a complaint but all we got from ebay was that they had given the company a period of time to respond to us, to supply the product or refund.
We still have never received any contact or the product from Borner.
Desired outcome: Either the product that we ordered or a refund.
Ebay is asking me to pay the bank fees the buyer has refused to pay
I have sold an item on ebay. The item (stamps) has been delivered in a timely manner and the buyer has confirmed the receipt and issued a positive feedback. However the buyer has discovered that because of the new ebay payment arrangements (no paypal) he has to pay to the bank a fee equivalent to the price of the goods. So the buyer has contacted ebay and issued a claim on this issue asking to stop the payment because he does not want to pay the bank fees. Even if these bank fees are due to the new ebay policy and ebay should try to help, they have not done anything about it. They have only blocked my payment in full and, in addition to that, they have charged to me the bank fees the buyer has refused to pay. So not only I am not paid for my sale but I also have a penalty fee to pay for something I have nothing to do with. I have spoken to customer service, I have appealed twice their decision, but they have reconfirmed that I will not receive any payment for the goods supplied and in addition to that I will have to pay the bank fees. I would like to know if this has happened only to me . I am very upset about the way I have been treated and I am considering getting legal advice on this
Desired outcome: cancel the bank fees and unblock the payment to me
Accounting
I was charged for listing a vehicle that didn't sell because buyer flaked.
I notified eBay 5 times. They continued to send me payment invoices. I had to take my credit card out of action as they were going to debit me the fee.
Once I finally got above resolved I reactivated my card and they charged me a $51 charge fir what I don't know. I paid it anyway and they still have my account locked 2 weeks later. I have been with them for 16?years and they treat you like garbage as you can not contact a human without stating on phone for 45 mins.
I'm done with them
help/ contact
Ebay cancelled a transaction I had with a seller without giving me a reason. When I went to the help and contact button there is no category for eBay screwed you. Also all of the phone numbers have been retired . Using your help robot is like being on a merry-g- round. It cannot resolve my issue and it will not put me in contact with a living person. One small note, I HATE MERRY-GO-ROUNDS. Your help system is so frustrating that I will have to very carefully reconsider my association with you!
At this point I would cheerfully strangler your whole help system design team!

In 27 months of being a trs + not one listing has the trs badge.!
There it is. I am a GOLD POWER SELLER. One would think, one would receive enhanced customer support. No the exact opposite. The message I receive is we are closed call back during normal business hours. It is also on my web page when logged into ebay.com. I am hard of hearing and sight impaired. Well the option of sending an email ois no longer available to me. But guess what. Now a friend who never uses the site suggested I have a look and see if the same message was on his site, he thought it would be of course. No its better than me losing my marbles. His site states welcome to ebay we have your back as a seller.24/7 customer support. He has not sold a thing the entire year. My sales $1665.00 so far. I To add insult to injury ebay billed me $530 for the month of September. My final value fees alone were over $490.00. I paid ebay $995 between September to November. Yes I receive zero phone support during the exact hours I work. I had a basic store subscription at that time (September 6 2020) no longer. Point being FVF are capped at $350.00 with the basic store subscription. Ebay agent AHHEY said oh we will definitely take care of that. I see you sold an item an avo valve tester for $3600 US. Yes. You do have a basic store subscription. She then told me it was for a single item the cap. I disagree, regardless I repeated, a single item for $3600 was purchased September 6.2020 and |I was over billed ebay's commision was over $452 and paypal took $140. Promised to send me the difference in a coupon coupon. That was early december and it was on a friday at 6;15 am. Of course because customer service is closed to me after 10PM. ITS friggin ecommerce. Stay away from ebay.!
This will only get worse.
Previously sellers were allowed to charge their eBay fees to their credit card. This allowed sellers to earn a 1% to 2% rebate on their eBay fees via the credit card's rewards system. It also allowed users to file a chargeback against eBay for fees they did not order such as the scam wherease eBay was randomly billing sellers for Gallery Plus fees. eBay customer service would then give the seller the runaround in the hopes they would simply not call and longer and just accept the fees. Assuming that the seller got the fees removed thes seller would actually loose money based upon the time wasted.
The new Management Payments will deduct eBay fees as they occur from receipts the seller has. If the seller does not have enough receipts to cover them they will be deducted from the seller's bank or credit card.
Under Managed Payments sellers must provide eBay's Netherlands based provider Adyen with their name, date of birth, s.s., bank account number and a copy of government issued photo i.d. eBay has previously had several data breaches. Do you feel safe giving eBay or a foriegn company your personal information which can be used for identify theft.
eBay should be in the dictionary as a definition of the word "evil".
Been selling on eBay for over 20 years, but not any more.
Chill sac
I've purchased in the past from sellers with being able to cancel an order as a correction in buying the correct product from the same seller without any issues. This was with buying a bottle of hydroponic solution, and it was a better deal to buy as a set from the same seller. So cancelling the first order right when it was placed was not an issue. So I thought this was going to be just fine when making a purchase with chill sac. I placed the order on the weekend. And almost nobody ships during the weekend. My wife wanted cancel it and get a different bean bag that wouldn't have worked out anyway. So I reordered the same bean bag from chill sac and they refused to cancel the first order. And eBay and the seller would not credit me back the return fee because of their [censored] policies that they can't make any exceptions do to their inept customer service from India. They shipped both orders out on Sunday. And they said since I placed the return as ordered by mistake, they said it's my own damn fault. I should have listed it as product not described. I had one of their Indians call me from their backend billing and he said I was going to get credited back. That never happened. So [censored] you Ebay and Chill Sac. I have cancelled my account will Ebay and going with Amazon. Ebay's Service [censored]ing sucks these days. They don't give a flying [censored] about good customer service. All they care about is your money.

I had same thing happen to me. I purchased a laptop repair service, the guy lives in California (nikos_7398). When he returned my touch screen laptop, the screen was broken. Which will cost me twice what I paid him for the repair service. eBay removed my negative feedback I left him and refused to give me a refund. When I 1st contacted eBay about this problem, they told me this type of service is not allowed on their site, it's been a month and the guy still has his ad running. I contacted Paypal and they too refused my request for a refund. I think these sellers are paying someone off.
Beware nikos_7398, he is a rip-off
I forgot to mention:
I am also looking for a lawyer to sue eBay and the seller, and maybe Paypal. I'll probly lose, but the publicity it will generate, cause I will let WKBN news know what I am doing, will hurt all of them, even if only a little.
