I haven't been to the dollar store in my neighborhood now for months because of the store manager. She is rude and disrespectful, not only to customers but to her employee. Her employees can't complain to corporate because she makes them sign a writeup paper and tells them that if they don't do what she says she will turn in the write ups and their blank at the time she makes them sign them. My daughternlaw worked at the one here and she said that this is what the manager told her. I and other customers were excited when the store opened but now no the manager makes it an unpleasant shopping experience. Why she is still allowed to be manager of this store is beyond me. She should NOT be a manager of any store, she doesn't have the attitude or personality to be one. She's hateful, rude and very disrespectful to customers and the employees. Is this the kind of person that you want to represent your store, I would hate to think so, the employees are friendly, but when the manager disrespects them in front of customers that is totally uncalled for. I would love to start shopping there again but not while she's still manager and I'm not the only one in our neighborhood. It's the dollar store in Cookeville, tn. 38501, in Dodson Branch, Tn. Her name is Shelly. If something isn't done and she continues with this kind of behaviour the store is going to suffer. Because she is not the image you want to represent your store. I can't believe that she has been allowed to act like this. And she makes it a point to let people know that this is her store and she will run it anyway she wants to. No other dollar store in Putnam or Jackson Co., Tn. has a manager that acts like she does.

I came into store 07932 Today May 24, 2017 between 3:30 and 4:00pm i made a purchase in a total of $18 the cashier cash me out didn't give me a receipt I let her know she argued back and forward telling me she did I asked her for a manager and to return my things the two women stated they couldn't do a return with no receipt. I let her know the cashier did not give me one. when she stated she couldn't help me I ask For the corporate number she didn't give it to me and neither of the employees would give me their names when I ask they stated no we don't give out our names .They were very rude and Disrespectful and I no longer feel comfortable shopping at this location. They were going back and forward with me. Both were very unprofessional and if someone can please contact me I would appreciate it [protected]

I live right next door to store #07179 I shop there everyday. And on june 14 I went in the store to purchase 1 can of beer for my wife to cook crabs. And when I went in the beer cooler the store manager started yelling at me for grabbing the beer. Stating it's too early to be buying beer. Now in north carolina you may not purchase alcohol until 7 am and the store doesn't open til 8am. So her personal opinion stops at 7:59 am. I also know family dollar doesn't support bad attitude employees. As long as I am not opening and drinking a cold one in the middle of the isle I expect politeness and great customer service. Not a nasty attitude expressing their belief on what they thought I would be doing with the product I was buying. Now I would hope someone would get back in contact with me because I have started taking a petition in my immediate neighborhood and I already have 50+ names stating her attitude is not up to family dollar standard
maple nut goodies
I purchased 3 bags of maple nut goodies from my local Family Dollar Store and they were as hard as rocks. I love these candies and I have eaten them for many years and I've never experienced anything like this. Did we change anything about the product? Also I went back into Family Dollar to exchange for different bags and they were just the same (hard as a rock).

I was at the Family Dollar by my house the one I visit all the time on June 9th 2017 at around about 5:40 p.m. I need some tissue so I went in the store and I was approached by the store Li person or the supervisor and she came up to me and said what the attitude and a smile on her face did not ban you and get you locked up for stealing from the store and I told her you have the wrong person she proceeded to basically tell me she had the right person so she goes to say don't you drive that Nissan out there the burgundy one and I said yes and she said yeah the lady that I'm talking about has the same type of car two and I told to her you have the wrong person I wasn't stealing out of this store I come in the store all the time and she goes to say well I'm in here all the time and I never see you and then she says don't you have three little girls and I said no I have two teenage girls and she said oh yeah they're about that age then I say to her well I don't have three little girls she said no I said too I said no you said three and I correct that you and said I have two teenage girls and you said oh yeah you're talking about two teenage girls there by that age then I go to tell her my name and I told her my name is Rochelle Andrews and she says yeah that sounds like the ladies name and then told her that I work for Bibb County and if I got locked up for anything I would not be working for Bibb County she smiled and laughed it off and said what you look like the lady and she drives the same car and by then I'm walking towards the register and really not thinking that she's really harassing me she's point-blank telling me that I was the lady she was talking about and I needed to get out the store basically so I pay for my tissue and I go to my car emotional because I've never had something like this happen to me so I'm in tears because as I said out of 33 years I've never dealt with anything like this she's not professional she's very very ghetto she has a nasty attitude and I feel like she should not work at that establishment anymore I will never go to that establishment again in my life because of what she done and I say if she did that to me she probably done it to several other people too. She did not even know what the person she was talking bout look like and she did not even know the person name and for her to do I feel like she should not have a job...

I called to check up on an application in keystone heights Fl, location and the employee gave me an attitude and kind of sighed and said hold on while she gets a manager. She didn't put me on hold she set the phone down and I over heard her say in an annoyed tone "another person calling for an application". The manager Ronnie answers and says can I help you? And I proceeded to tell her I was checking on an application and she was very rude when answering and said "yeah well were not hiring." And hung up. And everytime I go there, no one smiles and is very bland like they're all having a bad day. Just bad customer service in general and I probably will not be going there anymore. I applied because I felt like that store needed cheery people but I don't want to work with such rude people.

The Family Dollar in Kerens Texas has the worst store manager I have ever come across! Not only was she rude to the other Employee working there but was also very short with the customers in the store. That poor girl who she yelled out did nothing wrong. I don't know what kind of Managers you normally hire but I hope you reconsider this store in the near future. If the same Manager is still there I won't go back!
inappropriate store manager
I was at store 8921 this evening on June 5th 2017 and a lady by the name of Shana who was working at the time was very inappropriately and embarrassingly yelled at and told give up her key by the Manager of the store in Kerens, Texas. I myself was shocked by the behavior of the Manager April Carrol. The lady who she was yelling at was doing her best to assist the costumers and doing quite well. I don't think I'll return to that store knowing that kind of rude human being runs it. There was no need I could see to put that lady on the spot like that. She calmly told the manager to refrain from such behavior until the time is right. The Employee was very diligent and handled the situation quite well, the store manager on the other hand did not and in my opinion was bullying the other lady.

Was in family dollar store on 63rd cottage grove in chicago had my own bags to avoid paying was told had to bag myself, why because I did not want to use there bags, not fair why should I pay for bags when I have plenty and why should I have to bag my own things n ot fair don;t know if I will be shopping with you any more. Incident happened today june 5th 2017, at 63 rd cottage grove, the sales rep was rude went on to say they don't bag for fear of bugs, bag was on the counter what you don't think one could have crawled out, get real, and I don't do bugs and it was a insult to me and others in the store

At around 6:30pm I stood at a register for 3 minutes last night, May 31, 2017, I ring the bell ...heard someone behind me call out the name Joyce after first ring. Second bell ring...same person behind me says Joyce. I still wait. Finally I say loudly, "do you want this sale or don't you?" Whoa out of the clothes behind me a head pops up...the young girl with shoulder length dark hair, dares to speak to me in a rude manner and says, you haven't been waiting that long. I reply, "don't speak to me like that, " She says, "I can and I WILL. In fact I can refuse to serve you. Please leave the store now." To which I respond, "pleasantly and I WILL be turning your [censored] in!" What the hell happened to people. It seems the older I get, the less respect I see in America. I go home and call customer service to file my compliant. Would you believe this Toll Free Complaint number has bankers hours? I have called to complain five times this morning and always get placed on hold with no response for more than five minutes. Major hiring going on at Family Dollar in Walton, NY today. If this girl gets a promotion, I being a prominent citizen in Walton, Will encourage everyone I know to boycott your store. Stop hiring rude snippits. Keep overworked and good employees like Joyce who probably did not hear this girl because she was all the way in back unloading the truck where Miss Snippit should have been. A good manager will always put the cashiers to unloading the merchandise nearest their register. SMH!
I am complaining about a rude and angry employee
Hello my name is Kesha Wiggins and I go to Family Dollar about twice a week and spend a lot of money! Well today May 28th around 340pm I exchange some batteries I just bought from another location for a different size! I had my receipt but the associate had to ask another worker was it okay for me to exchange the battery that I just bought 10mins ago at another store and can I remind you I have my receipt. So the associate said it was okay I thought that was weird anyway since I had a receipt but she was acting like it was a problem that I exchanged it. So after she rung me up I get to my car and notice the price was different than the price she rung up so I asked Tanyika Witherspoon about it but she was very ride she said she couldn't deal with it cause she was counting money so another associate can go home and I said how long will that take and she got loud and ugly with me and said she don't know but she don't have time to deal with it right now. So she called another associate to help me by the name of Tinequa Maddox and she was very nice I showed her the sign and showed her my receipt and she was trying to get the price adjusted but Tanyika had to be the one to do it and she said she didn't have time I was going to have to wait then she start telling me her safe is broke and being very angry so now I'm tired of being the nice guy and I told her she need to find another job because her customer service stinks! Let me remind you this is not the first or second time that she got smart with me I just ignored her the other times. Last month she even got smart with my daughter and I was about to go in there but my 15 year old beg me not to say anything so I just went home. But I will like for someone at your corporate to pull that video from the time I left till the time I left out the store now a few times i did leave and come back in cause the lady gave me the wrong corporate number by mistake. I also over heard her talking about me with customers, I go to this Family Dollar all the time and she is always rude when I go in the store. I have a pet peeve for bad customer service skills cause I work with people and I don't care how bad of a day I'm having I leave my problems in the car and come to work with a smile on my face and give my customers the best Customer Service! Yes I will like someone to call me about this because I will like for them to investigate this situation. On 5-9-2017 around 5:45 pm I visited your store at 803 S Front St, Steelton, PA 17113. I was the last on in line and when it came to be my turn to check out the Spanish girl closed her line and would not check me out. if you people have a policy of not servicing black people please post it on your door. thank you. cigarette showcase doors
As I was counting cigarette total at end of shift, I placed cigarette case doors on floor. after count was finished, I picked up doors to put them back on the runner. As I was placing doors onto runner, both doors slipped and landed on both of my feet. The doors are not properly installed in the showcase. I am now being seen on a workers comp case, with possible fracture to my feet, and time off work . I have asked numerous times to my store manager as well as the district manager. to no avail, I have been told that the company will not get this issue fixed. It will, again in the future, I'm sure, happen to someone else with a possible lawsuit, if not fixed. Question: How do I(assistant manager), or the manager get this problem resolved?

I went to store # 01574 to buy soap it was $1.07 i gave a young lady $5 she told another employee she needs penny's in her draw i responded "it's ok sweetie i doesn't want the penny's" after i told her that she had got mad throwing my money inside my hand and threw my bag on the canner i already had my hand out to get my bag this not the first time i've had problems with this lady both of them does drugs they always under the influence of marijuana this has to stop i will take this father to get the help i need with family dollar employees. Store has not looked this bad in a long time it's a horrible mess nothing on the shelves and store manager was rude and dressed like a bum off the street what happened to old manager who had this place looking great she was the only one who had this place running like a store you could shop in it had been a mess from day one that it opened and was a mess till she showed up now it's back to the same old place it use to be and it's unshoppable and it don't matter nothing on the shelves to buy anyway

I've tried contacting every possible source within the company (Familydollar) to have a manager, district manager, corporate offices, customer service and the local store itself. Including the asst. Managers, manager.
No response. No calls. No email. No messages.
Nothing in reply to this situation that occurred.
*keep in mind I frequent this store. As I said have spent a lot of money shopping there. I am familiar with most of the employee's and management.
Which only one cashier was working who has checked me out before.
I would be the first one to accept the fact if I was in the wrong but most certainly I did nothing at all to deserve the treatment, embarrassment, humiliation, stress, removal of items from my hands and yelled at to leave the store being accused of stealing. While in front of customers.
*thank goodness for security cameras. Hopefully the store/company will do the right thing. Review the footage and any other footage of my previous shopping. Realizing that I have never done any of the things that I have been accused of doing!
false written advertising price / not honoring price
I went to Family Dollar on 2901 Fort Boulevard, El Paso TX store #02527 about an hour ago...completely out of my home area. I usually go to Dollar Generals and sometimes even Dollar Trees because of the horrible customer service we receive with Family Dollars. But it was convinient to stop at this one today. I purchased 33.02 worth of merchandise at this store. When I went to check out I saw that the drawer plastic chest that I bought was charged at 15.00 but several signs advertising it at 6.00. I immediately told the cashier and she didn't care to go look, just said that's the price and period. Of course at that point made me upset, so I asked for mgr. She said he won't b able to change the price either but loud and with an attitude. I then raised my voice also and told her to get the mgr anyways. The manager came out and without him letting me explain he told me not to yell at his girl. Maybe he meant employee, but I told him to go check the price advertised and fir the cashier to quit yelling at me first. He wasn't going to budge on giving me the price his store had on the shelves so I paid and left! But I am so upset that she would have that type of attitude towards a customer and that he would not at least tell her to keep quiet either. ...not too sure where their customers etiquette was learned but I'm never going back to this store & I feel I deserve an apology! I have family & friends that live on that area and I will make sure they ban this store also! I should of left the products and gone somewhere else! Very upset customer!

The young lady by the the name of ladrika I believe I'm really not sure due to her rudeness I wasn't thinking clearly to get her correct name, but she work yesterday evening at around 15:43:16 on 01/17/2017 the first register near the entry . African American young mid 20's female with two Pom Poms as her hairstyle and red lipstick. She is always very rude never speak when spoken too, never smile count out your change or say thank you to the guest . Almost everyone who works there acts and behaves this way every single time I go to this location . I shop there and spend almost 100$ every week when I'm there and you guess are going to lose my business I will start going to a dollar general if necessary. But you guys are so conventional for me, please hire new staff I beg of you because this is an utter outrage . And not to mention near the dog food area and the back area I guess where the staff do inventory it smells like dog waste back there . Maybe new management is in order do they even have a manager there ?
Same here in Hardin, Co. Illinois. The Manager is rude, obnoxious, etc. outside the store He speeds around on His cell, almost hit My Two Daughters Whom had Their Kids with Them. Cussed & flipped Them off. Now, Everytime My Oldest Daughter goes in He is extremely rude, refusing to ring Her up, laid over the machine where You swipe Your card. What is wrong with this Person. Corporate has been notified, see what happens.

I shop at the family dollar store near my house for the last 5 years spending $50-$100 dollars per month.Also my mini maltipoo support dog shops with me in the front of the cart on a blanket he is a legal support dog with ID.He also goes everywhere with me and my grandaughter Im raising.Well the family dollar store #05681 got remodled a few months back.And all the employs were replaced as to the management.Sad every one of them was soo kind and nice to all.Well I went ther today on my way home to pick up a couple of things and there wasnt any carts NOT 1 so I carried my dog.Went up to pay and I heard mam mam you cant bring your dog into the store anymore, I know you came in with him a few times{lets try 100s of times}but you cant bring him in again because people have allergies{my dog is non allergic breed maltese&poodle}I could tell the nice check out young man wanted me to really tell her off everytime I have come in the store all I hear is her nit picking some employee.Anyway all I said back was dont worry about it I WILL NOT SHOP HERE AGAIN.I am going to call the main office because this person is a slave driver and should not be working with the public
