mop
I brought a mop from Family Dollar for 4.25 and it broke the same day. I took it back to the store and the manager at the time, called another manager on the phone and she told him that I can not return the mop because I must have handle it too rough. I told him I don't see any signs saying you cannot bring merchandise back. they did not ask when I brought the mop or did not care to see when I purchase the mop. they just seen it was broke. I did not get a chance to use the mop one time.

I Work for this store [protected] w 26 while ago I can say that the manager for this store is a racist person for being black she looks for excuses and she lie just so I lost my job while a work for her I used to do things the i know I don't need have to do she was never in the store and she wanted me and anothers employee Do everything for her she treat my self really ugly for being black she did everything to take me out I think family dollar should take letter of this situation she use the employee and then she takes them out she just don't like black people sincerely. bad and poor customer service of an acting manager in belen, nm.
Acting manager refused to give back Receipt after of an item returned for refund. My daughter asked politely and the acting manager ignored my daughter. I was upset and I interrupted the acting manager for store Receipt. By then she said she can give me a receipt once she made a copy. Why! Couldn't the acting manager be polite about giving my daughter Receipt (?)
rude store manager
The store manager working on 07-19-2017 at Store #02489 SA TX at 14:53 ranging me up at the register and he was completely Rude to me. I went in with my backpack and he yelled at me that I couldn't walk in the store with my backpack to leave the backpack at the front of the store. There was no sign or anything to warn me of not being able to do so.

I have now work at this store for almost a year and through this year we have gone through almost 2 crews of cashiers and asst this is beacuse kelly O'Connelly is unfair in how she works so there for everyone quits and so she relied on me alot in these past couples months but as soon as she hires her friend now she just going to screw me with hours and days off such as me being the senoir asst i ask for one of my days off to please be a weekend dayy and i come and look at the schedule and everyone else has a weekend day off and i mean eveyone on our schedule and her friend who isnt even a key holder yet get more hours then me im very aggervated with how i am being and treated and if we dont find a conclusion then im going to have to file a complaint with the labor borad for all these months ive been noy given a break .im in store 3479 plainville ma 02762
employee and manager rude, made false accusations, called me n[censor]
I went into a Family Dollar with a friend who was looking for a certain item that the store did not have.. I was ending a call on my cellphone as we were getting ready to leave the store and threw my phone in my purse as the store employee ran over to me and got in my face telling me she just saw me steal something and throw it in my purse and she demanded me to open my pocketbook that I never closed. I was so confused I looked around and asked who she was talking to and she said Im taking to you.. I just watched you take an item an put it in ur purse now open ur purse now! Then the manager came over and i told them both they were crazy and I didn't steal a thing and I was leaving the store. As i started walking out the store the employee who accused me of stealing called me a n[censor] on my way out the door. Then the manager started recording me with her cellphone threatening to call the police and have me arrested for allegedly stealing. I was so upset, humiliated, and appalled of being falsely accused and now being called a n[censor] also in front of another black customer who was so disgusted he left his items and walked out the store shaking his head at the manager and employee. I turned to the manager and told her she needed to review her camera footage and confirm what I stole. I ended up opening my pocketbook and let the accusing employee look inside it and asked her what exactly is it that she saw me steal and throw in my pocketbook? The employee who did all the accusing replied with "I don't know." I said well let me help you since you insisted i stole and since you insisted I open my pocketbook...it was my cellphone you saw me put in my bag! I had anxiety and my body was shaking so badly from the embarrassment of being threatened to be arrested, falsely accused, harassed and called n[censor] in a public establishment with other customers present.

He was super rude !i was their to do a return and my son had gotten a 50cents candy and he made me pay for it first before going in the store and after I called a family member to tell him how rude he was being with me he told me I had to leave the store because I was talking about him!im so upset and will never visit your store again!his location is in TAFT CALIFORNIA AND HIS NAME IS ROBERT THE STORE MNAGER!
he also said that my son is not aloud to eat the candy unless we paid for it my son is only 5, he asked me why the man is being mean and i had to tell him he thinks we are steaking because we are black. i had to give my son a lesson on racism.

I was in the store shopping and almost passed out because the air conditioner is not working I had to stop shopping and leave that's how hot it was in the store when I spoke to one of the cashiers she advised me that the air conditioner has not worked in months I think that is very unacceptable that you would force your employees to work under those conditions it is 100 plus degrees outside you have to window fans blowing on them at the counter that's not helping. I'm going to call the health department and anyone else I need to call to either clothes to store or make you sure there is air inside the building. I've shopped at some of your other stores and I'm never win and one with the air woods and on or working so is it because of the location that you don't care I just think it's sad.
cashier harassing my daughter
I live less than a mile from the seven springs store. I shop in there 3 to 4 times a day. I spend alot of money in there . there is an employee by the name of amanda. Mt daughter will rum out if house and not slude shoes on. She goes in every time without shoes. When amanda sees my daughter amd im not with her she will harrass my daughter. Follow her around the store and make comments about her feet. my daughter has told me everytime well she never says anything when im in there. Well today she did and she was hanging all across the counter to look at my daughters feet then proceeded to tell her ahe had to leave mind u we were at the register checking out. I stopped her and asked her where their sign that informs customers of no shoes no shirt no service. Well there isnt one she then tells me she can make that policy. I then tell her to tell her managet to tell me my daughter has to leave. By this point im pretty heated. I was talking with a friend in line trying to avoid anymore problems will i ran my mouth to my friend and said noone needs to tell me what i can or cannot do especially without the proper signs in display. And i said i will drag someone if they start with me. Amanda then tells me i threatened a coworker and could never come back. That i was banned. And she was calling the law. The coworker she is speaking of is the manager and she was not even there anr amanda did not call the manager either. I do not feel as i should nor should my daughter be harassed to this extent over shoes.
not letting me pay with pennies
I tried to pay for something in Penny's at family dollar, and they were going to let me, but since I was recording they didn't let me buy it. I'm allowed to record. Also paying with Penny's is 100% legal. It's the cashiers job to count the money just cause you don't want to do mean you can't do it. I've had poor service there before with works trying to rush me out, and saying I need my parents with me.

I just left store #11073 on Youree drive in Shreveport la. I had several items to use digital coupons and printed and paper coupons, the manager Dane would not let me use printed coupons so I put my stuff back. I told him I have used them at several locations and so did the lady behind too. The manager said the company told them it was up to the managers discretion. I was shopping today at Family Dollar located in Bayou La batre Al, when I didn't find the product I was looking for I just get out of the store, and the employer was attended the store call me thief, insult me and said I stole some from his store, I told him back I got none with me I even ask him go check my car, He didn't it. Then I called the police, they check my car and they didn't find anything at all. I went to Family Dollar in Roebuck Al upon entering the store there was only one person at the register talking to the employee so I wait until they are done socializing..get up to the register request what I needed(that was behind the counter)the cashier gets my item and as I am going to pay a black lady comes up from the side and tells cashier I can't believe you are going to wait on that white lady first, so the cashier informs me that she had to wait on her first because she had been in the back of the store getting items( I had been waiting for a little bit for the employee to get finished talking to her friend and there wasn't another person in line.cashier refused to check me out and took the other customer because she was black!I only had one item the other customer a basket full I will never go back to family dollar and I am going to tell every body I know about the treatment you get at this store! This isn't the first time this has happen at this store cashier won't even look at you, but they will carry on conversation if your black!i have overlook this behavior in the past but I will never return to this store enough is enough I will drive he extra miles to go to Fred's where they treat all customers the same.I treat all people with respect but this store employees don't.so if your white expect poor service from family dollar in Roebuck Alabama
broken air-conditioning in uvalde store
Air-conditioning in Uvalde store has been broken for more than 3 months. Temperatures here reach 106 degrees. No longer shopping this store, too dangerous. Employees have box fans going and doors open for air circulation. Store still so hot 2 employees passed out and were transported to Uvalde Hospital Emerged Room by E.M.S. As custom we will be taking this to T.V. News in San Antonio, Tx.

Manager at 2110 n roxboro st is beyond rude! When you mention it to her it gets worse! Whatever happened to "the customer is always right!" she has a chip on her shoulders for whatever reason.. She snatches items, is not inviting, doesn't give you time to move before she starts taking the next persons items. Talks to customers with a smart attitude... The list goes on!
poor customer service experience
Poor customer service during recent visit to family dollar. Went in store to exchange product for another product. Cashier left register to talk to other worker about her birthday party and her baby daddy attending. Waited at register for her to ring me up for almost 4 minutes until the worker she was talking to advised her she has a customer in line. Once she got to the register she gave off a sigh like I was interrupting her responsibility. When I mentioned that I wanted to do the exchange she looked like she had a attitude. After the manager came over to her register and put the exchange through, I proceeded to have her ring up my other items so I can pay for them. I entered my phone number so I could use my coupon and while I proceeded to push enter. She blurted out the full price. I mentioned that I wanted to use my coupon. She stated that I had to put my phone number in. I told her I did but she got the button while I was hitting enter. She proceeded to tell me that I had to pay the full price. I told her again I need to enter my phone number again. She rolled her eyes again like I was inconviencing her and had to call the manager over to cancel the transaction. This is the first time I ever seen her at this store and I am a loyal shopper at this store. She needs to be retrained because it seems like this must be her first job. I'm sure I won't be the only one complaining about her today or in the near future.
disrespectful cashiers
I was witness to a cashier being very smart-mouthed and rude to a customer. I know customers can be irritating enough to make you want to argue and get smart with them, but this cashier kept the problem going by not apologizing.
It was the FD on Broadway, in North Little Rock, AR around 4:30 PM. A woman purchased her soft drink at the first register and then need something else to purchase and went to the cashier at the other register. The cashier was very patronizing and rude when she asked, "Have you paid for that Coke?" The woman answered that yes she had. She appeared to looking in her purse for the receipt. The woman calls down to the other register and asks if she paid for it. This obviously embarrassed the woman and she let it be known that she didn't appreciate being accused of stealing the soda. The cashier says in a smart manner, "I didn't accuse you of stealing it. I just wanted to know if you paid for it." I think the woman was trying to say that she was going to show her the receipt but she wanted to know why the cashier had to be so ugly about it. Rather than apologize, the cashier just engaged the customer in bickering. The customer said she was going to report her name to management and the cashier was like, "Go ahead. Go ahead. I don't care." "Yeah, whatever."
The customer said things that were not necessary but the cashier had no reason. If she had any soft skills or customer service about her, she would have just let the situation roll off of her back early on. Instead all the waiting customers had to be witness. She made Family Dollar look very undesirable and ghetto. It was a sad scene. The cashier needs to go back to training. I wish I had recorded this incident with my cell phone. It would have gone viral on Youtube. Darn it!

rewards! you get nothing!
I previously went in family dollar in Goodlettsville Tennessee every time I go in the store I never get my $5 off of a purchase of 25 or $35 or more I spend my hard-earned money and I get nothing back from shopping there the cashier waits till you ring up everything she puts it in all of my coupons and some coupons that I clipped won't clip so then I don't get the savings they tell me after the fact that I won't be getting $5 off of anything and any coupons that I clip I won't be getting the discount for that either I am very appalled because I know how much money I have to spend and I try to stick to my budget and this makes it impossible to stick to my budget I'm highly upset and I know it's not the employee's fault but they could post a note or something before purchasing the merchandise I feel like that this is a scam that Family Dollar is running so they can get people to participate and then not give them any savings at all on May 7th Family Dollar sent me a birthday $5 off and I couldn't even use it on my purchase this happens every time and I have been in there several times over the past three months and I have never gotten my $5 off I am so angry about it that I don't think I'm going to continue shopping there I have been shopping there for years I love Family Dollar and I will go out of my way to go to the closest one but instead of me getting what I deserve for being a loyal customer I get nothing back in return
