Since when is it policy for family dollar to take personal bags, insinuating that they are thiefs. I could not enter the store because my back pack purse was not an actual purse. When I advised the security that It was my purse he said I had to leave It with him. I'm shocked at the kind of ignorant people that family dollar chooses to employ. It is beyond my control that family dollar is located in a less desirable area of town, although people should not be subject to being treated in such a manner. It is a shame that a store is run in such a way that you detour customers from spending their money. I would rather give Wal-Mart my money because they do not harass their customers.

I purchased a bag recently & brought it home, to a cool environment. I opened it today and they felt melted. When I bit into one, seriously, I was lucky that I didn't break a tooth. Yes, it was that hard. So, thinking it was a one time thing, I bit into another one; same thing. I am attaching pictures of product, with front & back of package. I have been eating these for my entire life & it seems like everytime I buy them anymore, I have the same issue, with them being hard. I hate that something I have really loved for 58 years, has gotten to be so bad.
coupon policy lies
I had a store coupon and I had one manufacturer coupon per item when I checked out the store coupon would not work the lady claimed it didn't work that way but yet your policy says you can use a store coupon and manufacturer coupon together I walked out she gave me back all of my coupons but she kept my $3 off coupon for opti free and when I came back in and realized it she said she didn't have it. It's wrong I have went to Family Dollar and other places and it worked just fine the Family Dollar in Gaffney South Carolina the management needs to be checked on she does not know what she is doing.

I recently visited family dollar on West Orem and Almeda in Houston Tx, store number 11487 and I received the worst customer service ever. I'm currently having financial difficulties and I only had change to pay with today, all dimes to be exact. The representative was very rude before taking my order because he realized he had another customer to assist and once I told him that I was paying in all change he really showed how upset he was. He kept saying that his manager Felipe told him that he didn't have to accept change to avoid checking me out. I even offered to count all of the change for him which was only six dollars and forty-three cents. While I counted the change he just stood there looking upset with his arms folded which bothered me because this was the only method of payment that I had today to purchase my items. I became even more embarrassed once he started complaining to the other workers about having to take change. The other workers assured him that it was no big deal but he kept complaining and mentioning that he was about to get off.

I went to the Family Dollar Store# [protected] Bankhead Highway W, Birmingham AL phone 205.798.7302...the store was a mess there were fast food drink containers left by the employees, lunch meat left on one of the check out registers. And by the way there is only ONE check out lane open due to the fact that the other check out counter is full of stuff that needs to be put away. There are always stock crates laying on the floor... never clean. This is actually a fairly new store but whoever is the manager is only managing to do nothing on a daily basis. When I did finally get to the cashier she was on her blue tooth trying to make a call. She didn't even tell me how much my items were .. I had to look at the screen myself. I hate going in this Family dollar. It is horrible...please send someone out to get it in order.

I went into Family Dollar this morning in Charlotte NC on central avenue.. I was waiting in line to purchase what I had and they had one lane open, like always.. so, then one cashier opened another lane She called me over and her computer froze while she was checking me out.. so, with an attitude she told me to go back to the other line where I waited for another 20 minutes, she didnt applogize or show any sympathy! The management at this location is always horrible.. and they always refuse to open two registers and have people waiting every single time!

I was at the Selma Rd Family Dollar Store a week and a half a go. Only one register was open and there were 10 or more people in line. I had been waiting for awhile. Finally the manager came and opened another register. Mind you I was next. A lady cut right in front of me and the manager started ringing her up. I said well I'm next with a little attitude and the customer yelled at me and said she she had heavy stuff (she didn't get a cart when she should of) and accused me of trying to hit her granddaughter with my cart, uh ok. I said, lady I've been here over 10 minutes. The manager said if you're going to get loud, get out of my store. Even the customer's were getting mad and saying thing's to me.? (What did I do) So I left my cart and walked out. When I got home I called to get the manager's name and Dm name and #. She put me on hold for over 5 minutes. Then she got back on the phone and said she couldn't give out that info and hung up on me. So I called Family Dollar customer complaints and got the Dm name and number. Guess what? She hasn't called me back. Nice customer service. Bye Family Dollar. Hello Dollar General.
unfair actions
During our recent re grand opening, drawings were held. The dm and manager got all the tickets to the waterpark. The manager won an item, her husband, her aunt and her mother in law. Seriously? The assistant manager is ugly to customers and her husband also works there. I was under the assumption this wasnt allowed . The district manager is the mother of the assistant manager and they are ugly to employees. Also they allow family memebers to hang out at the store all day every day. I do not want my name mentioned please. This store is in liberty ms.

I live in laona wi and the way this store is a joke this girl that runs it is very rude to people the workers that work there are outside smoking and leaving this store unattended and got to wait for them to come back in to make ur sale. Heather fires people if they do not do as she wants and makes up lies about why she did cause I been in there a lot of times and heard her tell other townies she fired them for dum reason maybe u all should look in to getting someone worth running this store

My name is Jesica Duarte I have been couponing for our church ministry for over 4 years at family dollar. I have never had a problem, I have always couponed and abide by the law . Everyone knows who I am and what I do for our church. I recently went to coupon in boaz Alabama store#544 for the oxiclean buy 2 get 1 free.
Everything was going good, i got 15 bottles of oxiclean and I was going to use a coupon on each one . The coupon did not have a limit and the cashier was being very nice... I gave her my coupons and another worker from there named Carolyn Bellew was very ugly and humiliated me in front of the person behind me, she said she was not going to allow that and I explain to her that it was a coupon per item but when she saw my total she would not allow it . I was very humiliated she argued about it and I called her manager Linda Taylor she told me I could use a coupon per item BUT Carolyn Bellew said that is not was she was told and cancelled my transaction. I felt horrible she is not a very nice person and I could not argue because I was already too embarrassed for how she was acting. I have been a faithful client /shopper at family dollar and never had a problem till today but I feel as if This was too much and I do not plan on shopping at store #544 anymore, i was humiliated and hurt. Everything I do is to help the ministry at our church but this right here is the reason many people have stopped shopping at that store. I was going to purchase an item that was in clearance and when the gentleman rang the item it registered at full price then he saw the sticker that gave him the correct clearance price and he put in the cash register my early but I asked if he would check the sign that they have buy the product for another 50% of the clearance price.
The guy and start yelling the guy is start yelling and throw the item up in the air I'm behind him and say I'm not bringing this up for you then I got really scared and I told him I don't want to read the rest of the stuff for me and I went and talked to a lady who is been working and she's very nice please bring me out and she did.
I don't believe any customer needed to put up with disrespect and rudeness from any worker I'm being a loyal customer for 20 years and is by my house I go at least once a week to purchase and that store

The Store manager for store # 11522 at 3500 Paris Road in Chalmette, LA 70043 has overtly insulted multiple customers on several different occasions. But today was the absolute worst. I will never return to that family dollar location because of Stacy. I was a loyal customer until lshe humiliated me today. As I passed a fragrance display in the family dollar, I wanted to see which one smelled better than the one I have so I sprayed the $3 fragrance as the cap was off I assumed it was a tester bottle. When the fragrance I was looking for wasn't any that were on the shelf. I decided to take the items I had to the register to purchase and Stacy started ringing up my items. Stacy preceded to tell me I had sprayed all of the fragrances all over my body and to never come back in this store and do that again. I offered to buy the ones I sprayed multiple times and she told me "No, just to never come back in here and do that again." She also told me that what I had done was stealing and as I tried to explain that I thought the items were testers because they had no caps, she said "No, they're not testers here." I as humiliated and insulated as she told me to "never come back in here and do that again". I used to frequent that store weekly and will never cross the threshold of that store again. I don't feel like this is the image your company portrays and wrote you today in hopes you or someone will correct the situation. I would hate for this to happen to someone else, it was truly humiliating and down right insulting. Thank you for your time.

In lebanon ky at nearly 5pm yesterday aug 3rd an employee was giving me a horrible attitude because I kept telling my 6 year old no to a toy and I kept putting it back. He is mentally disabled and was not accepting me saying no. I asked the employee had I offended her by the way she was acting. She said that my son must have torn the toy out of the package because there wasn't a barcode... I handed her the toy and I know he never opened it, he had plucked it off a $1 shelf. Well... She went on to refuse my coupon for a pack of cigarettes and was hatful about it. When she threw the receipt my way I snatcged it from her. And from there all hell broke loose! I told her I was going to call her mgr and she didn't have a name tag on but screamed her name at me with her arms held up. My child was crying and very upset! She told me to “[censor]” leave and don't come back! There were many other patrons there that witnessed her outburst. I've always frequented that family dollar because it's near my home and i've never had any problems before. I was humiliated and my child was so scared that it took every bit of 2 hours to calm him and myself. It's unacceptable and an investigation into this employee should commence. I will never go back and i'll make sure all social media knows not to chance going to that establishment because of irate employees.

Went to your Charlotte Michigan store #2922 and this lady Pat was so rude to me I could not believe it, she wouldn't help me a bit, all she did was sit there and talk to her cashier and laugh! The store had empty boxes on the floor and I had my hands full and almost fell cuz I didn't see them, thank goodness my husband said watch out for those boxes! I can't believe u have this going on in your store and this is not the first time I have experienced this with the same lady (Pat), I just figured the first time she was having a bad day but now I feel she is just rude and nasty. I'm done with that store.

While shopping in your Williamsburg, Va. location my 5yr. Old Grandson need to use the restroom. The newly remodeled store had a note on the bathroom door that stated " not for use at this time ? When asking the store, he just said we don't have a public bathroom go next door to the Laundry business. Why? My granddaughter had diarrhea and needed a bath room she is 8 yrs old we asked nicely if she could use the bathroom she swung her hand pointing at the door I had the door cracked open so I could watch her. The asst manager started yelling nobodies supposed to be back here. It could be my [censor] I corrected her for her language and she told me to get the [censor] out of her store . 3 times my granddaughter started crying. Asked her what the hell she was crying for. Her name is Paula .I have never ever been treated like that in one of your stores.I want her fired.I have contacted a lawyer for slander. internet coupons
I am a very upset customer. There are 3 stores in my area that will not accept internet coupons. When I asked all 3 of the store managers why they are not accepting. The answer is I'm just not taking them. How can they be allowed to make these decisions on their own. If this directive not come from corporate how can they do this. They have hand written sign that says" Not taking internet coupons.. I have to drive 30 minutes to use my coupons. This is not fair to your customers. I need someone to please contact me and tell me your internet coupon policy. If it's the correct product and not expired then it should be treated the same as one I would clip out of the Sunday paper

There is an assistant manager at your Bolingbrook location that should not have her job! I am a customer service manager for the Napleton Automotive group Corporate office.. I oversee 43 dealership's customer service department and she by far was one of the WORST employees I have met. She "greeted" me with her starky "what?" at the registry while on her cell phone... I am asking her questions regarding your return policy, which she answered in the most demeaning, condescending way possible while still half talking on the phone. In the ten minutes it takes for me and my boyfriend to bring in our two items we were wanting to return she was still on the phone somewhere in the back and took way too long to come out and assist us. She then proceeds to tell me that she refuses to return the one organizer because it wasn't in the box (the box was damaged but I have every single piece and the reason i was returning it was because it was broken when I bought it! She never even asked) and said it was ridiculous and she wouldn't think of returning it. Instead of arguing with her because obviously she was having a bad day and i'm 6 months pregnant I say okay please return the other box... "isn't this one opened too" it hasn't been all the tape was still secure all the way around and she made it such a big deal to return those. Upon reading your return policy I plan on returning today and getting my second organizer returned as there is nothing in your policy that says anything about condition of product. The organizer has normal wear and tear.. it was apparent someone had used it before i bought it or it had been hit during processing... either way as a customer I did not deserve to be spoken to like that and she should learn it's not what you say but how you say it! Date of event 7/31/2017 all I want is a refund for an item I bought damaged. I should've brought it back the next day with my receipt but i've had an awful pregnancy and leaving my house is not always easy..

I went into the store to buy some oxi clean detergent and use my coupons 3off...And the manager told me she wasnt letting me buy but 1 item. I asked how is that possible and its buy2g1free..She said she has been manager for years and never let people buy more that one item on sale from her store. I told her another store did...She told me..U better go back to the other store because she wasn't letting me buy but one. She said it is her store and she run it how she wants to. I tried to return some bras and panties I had just bought the day before. The clerk informed me I couldn't and told me I was supposed to read the returns policy before I bought them. I told her I don't buy things that I intend to return. I just so happened to think they would fit too tight. I had all the tags and my receipt. It was over $20 worth of merchanise. She was very rude and told me that I had to keep them. Which I believe is unfair because I was just going to turn around and purchase more items. But now I don't want to shop there ever again.
