Family Dollar employee posts

Employee posted in a private group on Facebook. Stating on Mondays they will no longer accept coupons due to the fact it keeps cashiers at the register as oppose to stocking shelves. I felt her tone of her post was ride and unprofessional. It makes me feel as though they are saying we don't want to be bothered nor do we want ya business. I coupon regularly I also shop regularly for my house as well as my two sisters. I refer and encourage people to go to family Dollar and dollar general all the time. And reading things like that makes me feel like I can show else where

Family Dollar general manager and cashier

Stalking us in the store keep asking us excuse me and stand right there nobody stealing nobody's doing nothing they called me a b**** or w**** and we are in the hood so we have to watch everything I felt like my rights were violated I will not shop at Family Dollar anymore for the rest of my life I would like this dealt with or I'm getting a lawyer.

I had a bad experience this morning it was around 10am me and my aunt was in the store she's whit why I'm black and we will stop because they kept walking between us and excuse us playing like they doing a work but and thinking we're stealing that's why they watching us I never stole nothing out that store that content://media/external/file/8237look so she told me that God looks high and low and said that they was doing there job they was not doing a job she was so rude, in a nice way god got her back and all kind of things

Family Dollar complaints about a family dollar employee

I just had a bad experience at the family dollar nearby my house located at 8120 Atlantic Blvd Jacksonville, Florida [protected]. I was doing laundry and I didn't have enough detergent. I had to rush to family dollar with my 4 years old son. I know I wouldn't spend a lot time ;therefore I didn't put my son in a cart. I usually do so because I know my son won't stay still at the store. When I got in line, the line was long and it was only 1 person at the register. Therefore, I ended up spend more time at the line and my son was moving a little bit, but with control. There was a lady in front of me that my son might have touched occasionally and my son did talk to her, but she didn't talk to my son. When it is time for the lady in front of me to get to the register, I notice she was kind of pissed off and she was talking to the employee at the register. And the lady at the resgister wass shaking her head in disbelief or disappointment. I didn't pay attention I just got hold of my son until the lady in front of me was yelling that my son was hitting her. I was like my son may have touched you but didn't hit you. I was like " I will not let you get to me, you might have a problem but I'm not the problem. I was calm until the employee at the register backed her up. The employee affirmed that my son did hit the woman and started yelling and telling me to control my son. At that point I was so mad because God knows my son was behaving very well. My son was just being friendly to the lady in front and she maybe  just doesn't like or have kids or she is frustrated. I'm mad and even crying right now because the black employee  at the register was siding with the lady. She was telling me to control my son when my son was not even uncontrollable. My son was acting normal and bieng friendly with the lady in front of me. I don't have any problem with the lady who was being mean to my son  because I might never ever met her in my life again, but what about the employee at the register? If I go to that family dollar again I will see that employee over and over and that will remind me of that awful experience which makes me emotional. On top of that I'm pregnant. I didn't like that fact the employee was talking about my son with the lady in front of me and I don't like the fact she is being judgmental. I'm a preschool teacher and I have seen uncontrollable kids, but they still kids . My son can be hyper but I try my best to control my son. My son is just a 4 years old boy bieng friendly with everyone. The employee has no right to get in the middle of this and to side with the lady. I will never go to that family dollar any more until I know for sure the employee is reprimanded about her behavior toward my son. How would I go to a store when I know an employee was being judgmental about my son? I felt humiliated mostly by the employee who sided with the mean lady in front of me. Why all that happened? Mostly because the line was long and there was 1 employee  at the resgister. There was another employee who was walking around and doing nothing about the long line. Some people even ask her to step in because the line is too long; she refused. They were not friendly at all. Therefore, I ended up spending more time at the store. I was only there to grab the soap detergent and finish my laundry. I was not looking for trouble. If I knew I would spend all this time at the store, I would put my son in the cart. That was an awful experience. I couldn't even sleep lassleepht thinking about the whole thing. People can be so judgemental

Family Dollar horrible customer service

Was in there today around 3:00pm on 8/14/2017
The girl behind the counter was too busy on her cell phone to want to get up and ring up my purchase. She sat there texting and when she did finally get up she continued to text like I wasn't even standing there. Seriously? Family Dollar you have the worst customer service I have ever seen.. It's not one store either. You have multiple stores that are dirty and your employee's are lazy and just don't care about the public. This was the last time I will ever step foot into your stores. I will also share my experience with others. If that were my employee I would replace her.

Family Dollar the manager false allegations...

To Whom this may concern, Im a resident of Houston, Tx and I'm reaching out to your company concerning your Store on Hammerly blvd store#5348. Yesterday August 13. I was Humiliated by your store manager Mercedes(the name provided) on yesterday with false allegations of theft. I shop there often i have never taken anything without paying. She also claimed that her and i have had words before. I assured her that she was mistaken. She done this in front of the store and my nephew.i have never been more humiliated. I asked her could i see a picture of the person she's is claiming me to be. She said she would show it to the police.she couldnt show it to me. So then the police comes to Seller brothers to talk to me..they told me she said im not welcome in the store. Thats Fine my family will never shop at any of your stores. Im hurt and humiliated. Im talking to my lawyer so i can retrieve a copy the tape to prove my innocence and hopefully you find a better Manager for your store. . I will be filing a suit against your company. They did the same thing to me in the Family Dollar store in Salton City, CA. When the manager approached me she said " you look like someone that was not allowed in the store." Therefore I told her I wanted to see an incident report and she told me that a police officer had to be present. I said it was fine I will wait and she replies "I can't right now because we have a big line." I left her my name and phone number and told her to contact me when she finds the footage of me steeling, I told her I've never stolen anything in my life and I won't start now. She never called me back. I contacted corporate office and complained about her and all they did was send me an email to tell me that they would investigate that incident. Just like you I was humiliated by the actions of that so called manager. The next time I went, she called the police on me and try to have me arrested, and up to this point I have not seen any footage of me taking anything and they won't have anything because I don't need to steal because I work for all I need. Family Dollar being cheated out of my money!!!

My name is Charles F. Thirkield and I am residing here in the city of columbus and the state of georgia...

The reason that I am COMPOSING this notation is because i went to one of your family dollars franchise store here in the city of columbus... STORE#08860 810 FORT BEINNING ROAD COLUMBUS, GEORGIA 31903 approximately around 8:04:47 ON 08-13-17 to purchase some edible items... THE TOTAL OF MY PURCHASE CAME OUT TO BE $26.83 SO I HAD GIVEN THE CASHIER $27.00 EVENLY AND MY CHANGE THAT I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED BACK SHOULD HAVE BEEN 0.17 CENTS WHICH IS ONE DIME, ONE NICKEL AND TWO PENNIES TO BE EXACT... THE CASHIER HAD GIVEN ME BACK 0.12 CENTS WHICH WAS ONE DIME AND TWO PENNIES... SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME ON HOW CAN 0.12 BE MISTAKEN AS 0.17 CENTS? IT IS VERY ODD THAT THE MANAGER OF THAT STORE WOULD ALLOW AN UNTRAINED CASHIER TO OPERATE AN CASH REGISTER WITHOUT BEING SUPERVISED... Family Dollar yahoo city location broadway st

I went to purchase items with my daughter. Apparently my daughter and family dollar employee Nei Balam has a problem with each other She refused to ring up my items saying someone else was coming to do it After a 10 minutes wait I said this didn't make any sense Nei Balam proceed to cursing me out calling me all kinds of foul names then she threaten to do bodily harm to myself and my daughter I proceed to call the police where Nei Balam stated we were banned from the store for no apparent reason other than she dislikes my daughter I'm pursuing a criminal complaint assault by threatening I want some kind of discipline done to this employee

Family Dollar a replaced item

I went to family dollars in Laurel Hill, NC. I sent 14 year old daughter in the store to buy a bottle of hot sauce. As she's grabbing her bag the hot sauce feel out. The cashier which is the store GM her name is Daisy. So my daughter comes out the store saying " mama I dropped the hot sauce in the store the cashier saw it fall and everything. So I need more money to get another one. With my receipt I go back on the store with my daughter and ask the cashier ( Daisy ). Since my daughter just bought that bottle can I get another one I have my receipt. She said no I had to buy another bottle. That's the stupidest thing ever. What was the problem with just giving me another bottle. Y'all have had many complaints on this same lady over and over. She should be fired she not friendly, she doesn't do go work period. So what's the hold up on Daisy getting FIRED!?

Family Dollar returning an item

I purchased a universal remote granted it was only $10 but it didn't work the girl said if it doesn't work I can bring it back with the receipt. Then I question the cashier because half of my receipt printed and half of mine did not the was that going to be a problem just in case she said no it will be fine.
So of course it doesn't work and I bring it back today only to be told because the full barcode did not print I could not get the cash back that I paid I would have to get a store credit.
So after I explained to the cashier what the other girl said I hear them tell another customer sorry I can't even give you a receipt because none are printing. So then she proceeded to talk over me and repeat herself which I did explain I am not to I understand what you were saying but your employee told me that I could return it with that particular receipt it would be no problem.
I could not figure out why they could not just print me a normal receipt like you get it a normal store and not be so lazy to just let me leave the store knowing I can't return the item because of the barcode. Then she told me it wouldn't have made a difference because nobody can do that in the store once it prints it prints.
So I did advise or yes there is a way to do it she may want to go to her employer to learn her job. I am in the store daily literally and she is the only person that ever gives me a hassle and it's not the cashier that sold me that item it's a girl I met with today.
The last time we were in there she was so miserable because she had to go to the bathroom and nobody could relieve her so she was slamming things into the bag I mean it's absolutely absolutely ridiculous. I did not tell her to take this job it is not brain surgery!
I usually will always try to deal with Mary because she has a personality she tries to help you and if she can't she tries to solve what the problem is always always very considerate and respectful.

Family Dollar cashier issues

I regularly enter Broadway and Taylor location for daily purchases. I ALWAYS and I can really say ALWAYS find the frustration of a long line, and other cashiers not taking responsibility to shorten the line. Many customers walk out and get pissed off. The cashiers respond with attitude, and oh well. The I don't care attitude baffles me, and the fact that these are regular customers that they get rude with is not professional. I expect customers to be treated right, and solutions to be made by the employees. This location has been going down hill for some time. I will not go to this location any more. They have lost me as a customer by their lack of ambition to care for customers. I hope more customers get sick of it, then maybe management will do something. Now, I have to waste gas or get caught by trains to go to Dollar General. But, I guess that is what I am forced to do. I don't have this problem at a Dollar General store, EVER!

Family Dollar store maplecrest shopping center

Me & my young daughter went 2 the Kokomo, In Maplecrest location around 7:30p and i couldnt believe the boxes & inventory carts EVERYWHERE we could barely get our cart down MANY isles. The pet isle had a cart with what appeared to be EMPTY just not 2 the side but in the MIDDLE of the isle. Somebody could of gotten hurt. This store is already jammed pack.

Family Dollar clairol herbal color hair dye

I stopped at Family Dollar store in the Elm Grove Crossing Mall in Wheeling, WV today to pick up this hair dye because I had a Smart Coupon for $2.00 off of Clairol hair dye and when I checked out, it was pit in the system as "Herbal Essence" hair dye when in fact it's Clairol, it has Clairol in big, capital silver/gray letters actossed the top of tge front if the box. When I called the cashier on it, she first tried arguing that it waa Herbal Essence so I pulled the box out of the bag and pointed to the big gray capiral letters spelling CLAIROL acrossed the top of the box, the she preceded to tell me there is nothing she can do! I stood in the isle with hair dye looking at every single one of them making sure the coupon details did not say excluding Herbal color and it did not! This is the only reason I had stopped at Family Dollar this morning, to get one thing that I knew I had the smart coupon for. Can you please give me a reason why I had to argue and prove to the cashier that the product I was buying was in fact supposed to give me a $2.00 off discount and that there was nothing to be done! I would at leaat like the $2.00 off!

Family Dollar retractable leash 15 foot

I bought this lease at Family Dollar store number 0010 1105 N Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach SC [protected], it was purchased May 4th 2017 and was only used a couple of times and it broke. I kept it and finally found the receipt the other day. I went in the store last night and explained this to the girl at the counter and said if you can't refund the money I'd be glad to just have another one. She said we don't do refunds. I told her again I'd take a replacement lease. She called the manager and this lady never spoke to me! She walked up, looked me in the face with the rudest look and shook her head no with a smile and the walked away. The counter girl said I'm sorry I knew she wouldn't do anything and then the girl told me to take it to another family dollar and see if they would help me. I will never go into that store again for nothing! If you are going to sell a product you should stand behind it! How did this woman get to be a manager? Family Dollar manager at breaux bridge, louisiana store

The manager at Family Dollar is rude, unprofessional and messy.she constantly picks and harass me and my kids.She watches all the wrong people except the ones that steals and walks right out of the store in her face.She flirted with my husband in front of our kids, so my kids didn't like it so she made the remark your kids looks like they don't like me talking to you like that he said they don't i dont like it either.Ever since then she talks about my kids to co workers and picked and picked at my daughter until i told her leave my kids alone she all of a sudden said she's not allowed bk in the store and also im not allowed i never ever in my life had that said to us.I spend $100 a week there.This is a small town a lot of people say there not going back there long as she's there she has a nasty attitude.My 10 year old son went there for me this morning she said (hmmm speaking of)he said mom i didn't do her anything to act like that with me.She smokes cigarettes more than she's in the store.Oh she ask my husband if he needs help eating the popcorn.What a way to run a store.

The manager at Family Dollar in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana is unprofessional she's very messy.She throw slangs at my kids to the other workers they dont even answer her..the other day i told her leave my kids alone they are children.She told me im not allowed and 2 of my kids aren't also..i have been going to Family Dollar for years and years spend $100 dollars a week there and thats how we get treated.This morning my 10 year old son went inside the store for me she said (hmmm speaking of) looking at my son and started laughing.This is a small town a lot of people do not go there anymore because of her.This lady has been a problem the last couple of months.She smokes cigarettes more than she's in the store.Everyone is nice their but her.She's the one with the black hair.I really like Family Dollar but if im no longer wanted back inside the store i'll just join everybody else and spend my money every week somewhere else.

Family Dollar customer service

I've been a customer of the Family Dollar store in Port Jefferson Station New York for 10 years I have never seen the store terrible shape. There is never more than one employee in the store at any given time.. the shelves are a mess and open packages are everywhere. When confronting the store manager I was told it was a " payroll issue"
And that her district manager doesn't care. What a shame good prices and good variety but there seems to be no employees. Oh well their lost sales is Wal-Marts gain..

Family Dollar phone service

The Store in Warwick RI (Oakland Beach) never answers the phone. I've called numerous of times even back to back and still no answer. I don't get it and it frustrates me! I like to call ahead to make sure they have the product I am looking for and somehow they never answer the phone. I would like to get to the bottom of this because i'm sure i'm not the only one with this issue at this certain store!

Family Dollar security

Since when is it policy for family dollar to take personal bags, insinuating that they are thiefs. I could not enter the store because my back pack purse was not an actual purse. When I advised the security that It was my purse he said I had to leave It with him. I'm shocked at the kind of ignorant people that family dollar chooses to employ. It is beyond my control that family dollar is located in a less desirable area of town, although people should not be subject to being treated in such a manner. It is a shame that a store is run in such a way that you detour customers from spending their money. I would rather give Wal-Mart my money because they do not harass their customers.

Family Dollar maple nut goodies

I purchased a bag recently & brought it home, to a cool environment. I opened it today and they felt melted. When I bit into one, seriously, I was lucky that I didn't break a tooth. Yes, it was that hard. So, thinking it was a one time thing, I bit into another one; same thing. I am attaching pictures of product, with front & back of package. I have been eating these for my entire life & it seems like everytime I buy them anymore, I have the same issue, with them being hard. I hate that something I have really loved for 58 years, has gotten to be so bad.

Family Dollar coupon policy lies

I had a store coupon and I had one manufacturer coupon per item when I checked out the store coupon would not work the lady claimed it didn't work that way but yet your policy says you can use a store coupon and manufacturer coupon together I walked out she gave me back all of my coupons but she kept my $3 off coupon for opti free and when I came back in and realized it she said she didn't have it. It's wrong I have went to Family Dollar and other places and it worked just fine the Family Dollar in Gaffney South Carolina the management needs to be checked on she does not know what she is doing.

Family Dollar customer service

Hello,

I recently visited family dollar on West Orem and Almeda in Houston Tx, store number 11487 and I received the worst customer service ever. I'm currently having financial difficulties and I only had change to pay with today, all dimes to be exact. The representative was very rude before taking my order because he realized he had another customer to assist and once I told him that I was paying in all change he really showed how upset he was. He kept saying that his manager Felipe told him that he didn't have to accept change to avoid checking me out. I even offered to count all of the change for him which was only six dollars and forty-three cents. While I counted the change he just stood there looking upset with his arms folded which bothered me because this was the only method of payment that I had today to purchase my items. I became even more embarrassed once he started complaining to the other workers about having to take change. The other workers assured him that it was no big deal but he kept complaining and mentioning that he was about to get off.
