Family Dollar Kick out the store for no reason

On January 27,2023 at approximately 7:00pm I went to The Family Dollar located at 1841 Almonaster New Orleans, La to buy some items for my home after a long day at work as I had gathered the items to purchase and proceeded to the register to pay for the items.

I was told by the associate on duty that I have to leave the store and no reason was given on why I had to leave.

I left the store without incident, and she asked an unknown female who was not an employee to lock the door as I left.

Upon leaving I went to a neighborhood store and seeing that had reopen the doors and letting people in

Family Dollar Service/management

At approximately 10:30 on January 27, 2023 I arrived at the store on main street in Radford, Virginia. I was looking for some incontinent pads. I noticed that there were some poise night pads that were marked 14.50 with a sign below it stating 2 for 10. I grabbed two and proceeded to continue with the rest of my shopping. When I got to the register, they did not ring for $10. The girl at the register did not know what to do, so she texted her manager and asked her. The girl proceeded to tell me that they don't do that anymore. I asked to speak to the manager and also asked if the girl could suspend my order so she could take care of other customers, they were in line. After taking care of the customers, the girl proceeded to go get the manager. There were no other customers in line at this point. When the manager arrived, she asked to see the tag, so the girl and the manager went to that area and the manager grabbed the tag. When the manager got back to the register she stated that the store had already been flagged and gotten into trouble for taking such discounts and told me she wouldn't do it and proceeded to ask me if I still wanted them and I stated that I would for the 2 for $10 like advertised. She also stated that all signs were digital so I entered a phone number and it rang up $3 off. I asked for corporates phone number. The manager gave me the number and said that she was not going to sit there and argue with me or hold up the line, I looked beside me and there were no other customers and stated to her that I would move if customers showed up. She proceeded to tell me that if I did not like what she was saying, I could leave or she could call the cops on me to have me removed. I asked her if she was really going to call the cops on me for asking a question and she said yes, I'm not going to argue with you. I was calm the whole time and never raised my voice at her. She had an attitude the whole time because she was in a meeting in the back. I'm not a horrible person but she made me feel like one. I have a medical condition that requires me to have this type of pad. I'm always looking for sales. I gave all my groceries and stuff back and was leaving the store when I asked the associate to give me the manager's name because she had a customer and she refused to give it to me. At one point during my conversation with the manager I had asked her for the district manager's name and phone number and she stated that she was not going to give it to me. It's a wonder why I even try to shop at family dollar given this situation. I have a picture on my phone of the tag on the shelf, but cannot get it to my computer. I can email it from my phone if needed.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate an apology for the way in which the manager treated me. I have worked in retail before and any good manager would work with the customer over a simple oversight on their part.

Family Dollar Homeline alkaline battery 9v (see attachments)

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023 I purchased a 9V battery at Store #[protected] E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, TX. [protected]. (See attachment) The store clerk was very friendly and welcoming. When I returned home, and tried to use the battery it was dead. Not working at all. I decided to return the battery the next day, Thursday [protected]) to a different store that was closer to my house. The Family Dollar store was located at 4951 E. Berry St., Fort Worth, TX. 76105. I spoke to the manager named Ax, a female short hispanic lady. She stated that she could not issue me a refund because I did not purchase the item from that particular store and would have to return it to the original store. (She lied) She also stated that she was the only one there and could not accommodate my return. I was extremely disappointed with her conduct and demeanor. As a loyal customer of Family Dollar, I have always received excellent customer service. This manager was very unprofessional and rude. All I wanted was a simple return of $4.33 or store credit. Was that too much to ask for? I really hope that this issue will be addressed so that the next person will not feel the angst that I felt.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund or store credit with no strings attached.

Family Dollar Verizon air time

Hello I bought a Verizon phone and air time card from your location in San Joaquin ca... First I was over charged when your store wouldn't honor a promotion they had posted... Verizon phone for only$14 when you buy $45 air time.. So I was charged $69 for the phone and the$45 for the air time... The phone didn't work at all which they did refund me for but they wouldn't refund the air time card... If I don't have the phone I don't need the air time and they say they will not give my money back for it... This is rediculous your store is just going to keep my money... That's not right it's their fault their product didn't work not mine... This is very unprofessional and very bad customer service... Also if was false advertising once they wouldn't honor what they had posted...

Desired outcome: I would like m my$45 back for the air time also...

Family Dollar Being mistreated and denied service

I used to be a store manager however I was let go. Today I tried to take some stuff back to family Dollar without a receipt that I had bought myself. Because I didn't have a receipt they would not return my things. Now I know being a store manager that we can return stuff and we do put them back on a return card. The district manager Tiffany has called every family Dollar in the district and has denied me to be able to return anything that I have gotten from family Dollar. That is not acceptable and I will be taking action.

Family Dollar A grandma age 65 and a grandson 3 years old were informed that we could not use the restroom in the store.

The Family Dollar store in located at 1347 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne New Jersey.

On December15, I took my grandson to his favorite store to buy a few toys.

I am 65 years old grandmother and my grandson is 3 years old. I told the store Manager that I needed to use the bathroom. And she said that I could not use the bathroom. The manager named Maria stated that the restroom is ONLY for the Family Dollar employees. The manager was very nasty toward me and by grandson. I had to drive home to use the bathroom and my grandson is being trained and he had to use the bathroom too.

This was a very insulting situation. This is the year 2023 and this embarrassing act was uncalled!

My grandson informed his mother that the clerk at the store would not let me or him use the restroom. What a shame that a 3 years old had to experience this unselfish act. I am very upset!

I felt that this act was done because of the color of our skin!

Family Dollar Pots

The pots they sell are a rip off the black barrier comes off after one use causing me to buy multiple pans I live in the inner city and it’s sad we can’t even get decent cook ware that’s low on pots I don’t know what the toxic could be from using these pots but I don’t think they are safe to use I am very disappointed in there cookware it’s horrible what they sell to us to get rich.

Family Dollar Manager

Good evening

I've been shopping at the Family Dollar Store located in Normandy Drive in Miami Beach for years. There have been many managers that have come and go, and all provided good customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the manager that was there on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 10:58 am. After purchasing a few items and was given the receipt, I realized that the amount on 2 items were not priced as stated. Before leaving the store, I approached the cash register (who was very nice) and told her the discrepancy. She told me that she couldn't adjust the price, but the manager could. The manager was sitting behind a column when I asked that she help me. She leaned forward and asked what the problem was. I asked her to come with me to show her the priced item as well as the sale item. When she saw the priced item, she said that the company is constantly changing prices and that was the price. When we walked to the other isle, I showed her the sale item. That isle was filled with sale item stickers. When she looked at it, she said that it expired on the 12th.

I asked her to honor the price because that is the price marked. She said she didn't have to do anything. She said I should have looked at the expiration date. The cash register associate was there and heard when she said that. I proceeded in telling her that that is her job and not mine.

She started to remove all the stickers on that isle as well as on other ones. When I went to return the sale item, she wanted to keep the original receipt. When I told her that the original receipt is always given back to the customer with the refund receipt, and I was going to keep it, she said that she would not do the refund. I had already inserted my card, so the refund went through. I don't know if she wanted to keep the receipt since I had written down her name (how I understood it) and her supervisors. I tried calling the following day to speak with her supervisor, but no answer. I believe the manager's name is Odelmi, and the supervisor is Yunesis. I will ALWAYS take the time to commend good customer service. Rarely, and I mean RARELY, would I take the time to call or write a negative review about anyone. Well, this is one of those RARE times. Family Dollar Unsatisfied customer

I was in family dollar yesterday and the same employee that was there the day before was there again today he told me that he was the only 1 that was there running the entire store now mind you that he had a store full of customers and the people in front of me had to baskets full of socks now mind you he has to ring each one up plus bag them now by this time the line is getting long while he's doing this and nowadays people don't have patients or respect for customer service people and they don't realize that it's not the employee fault they are there because nobody else want to WORK OR COME TO WORK and it's sad that the owner of these companies Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General care more making a dollar than their employees I use to do customer service and the main thing that I use to here is oh we have to cut hours cut ours for what you need people to work at your store stop putting money in your pocket and put it in the pockets of the people that come to work for your company everyday offer them more an with benefits I remember at 1 time those store use to be stock fully with plenty of help and now when you walk in one their shelves are empty or they have overstock all in the isle where you can't get down them at all The Presidents and CEO and branch managers and sales people to look at it from a customer service person point of view stop opening up new store fill the damn stores that you have open now and stop working the good people that you have to death.
