I'm in the store waiting my turn. When I get to the cashier we greet each other, I tell her I need a case of water and a bag of ice. She rings the bag of ice up with the chart she has and tells me I have to get the case of water and put it on the counter in order to ring it up. And I comply as I do so I state i'm 62 years old and wasn't trying to lift it more then once. She calls for someone to get the bag of ice as the cooler outside is locked. (no where i`ve been as of late keeps their cooler locked in this area) the guy has no clue, and walks up to a car out front and says something to the women in the car. I guess she the manager. She that's her time and is on the phone talking about getting her nails done on sunday. She comes out of the store with the keys... Still talking on the phone. Fumbles around to find the right key... The door is all the way open and she is off to one side of the door. Ireach in and get a bag, start the brake it up by slamming it on the ground several times. She asks me is that your bag of ice? I say, yes... Do you need to see the receipt? "no but I don' appreciate you grabbing it out of my hand." it wasted in your hand and i'm tin a hurry... As useule. She says i'm getting a bag out that they need inside yada yada... That's for me I say. She comes back out all pissy and calls me a cracker three times as we are now yelling at each other.

Manager banning anyone she pleases.
On Saturday April 30, 2022. I went to Family Dollar in Carnegie PA. I purchased a 2.81 ounce bag of Wintergreen flavor Lifesavers. The bag was hanging under a tag reading 1 dollar and there was bigger bags worth more. But I got the 1 one. Brought it to the checkout and it got rung up as 2 dollars. I used the app and scanned the item and it said 1 dollar. I was also told I almost ran someone over. I was told I disrespected the manager. I apologized to the one manager in question. But they did not return nothing. I left after the fact the manager said they was going to take care of the pricing issue. They never asked me to give them the reciept. I thought they meant they was going to take care of the pricing on the shelf. So I left the store with trusting that they was going to change the prices on the shelf. It was said I left in a mad mood and also almost running someone over. I apologize for this and still I am banned from the store. Manager can't keep story straight. I went in person today and well now still band and cops will be called if I call the store for any reason. And not allowed to be on property as well. I feel the manager is letting all others in as S

I on April 30 and May 1 was banned from the store by management Reason I am unsure as the management can't get the story right. 3 things happened. I challenged the price of an item and yes got loud a bit but also was told I practically ran someone over while leaving the store. I feel that I even after apologizing still is not allowed to enter the store and I was prepared to not let the same thing happen again. Management said I argued. Okay fine. But you don't ban someone for arguing and trying to reconcil for what happened. 3 different things and still nowhere close as to why I got banned because management couldn't keep the issue straight. Since this is an issue and I see other things going on in the store and nothing happens to resolve them. I feel it's unfare to me and those who got banned by this one person. They make up stupid things to ban someone and that is so childish. They said they can ban anyone they want and called the store theirs. Today May 29th at approximately at 6:30 pm, my grand daughter and I were buying a birthday gift and decided to get a soda, I told her not to grab the root beer pop because it looked like the seal was broken but I was not sure. The lady up at the register yelled and said "don't leave that pop in there bring it up here". I told her to get it her self. She was very angry, I grabbed the soda and told the other cashier, " here is the pop this lady is being very rude." She said I am dealing with it and grabbed the soda. I was waiting for my credit card and the lady told me to leave her store. I told her that it was not her store. I said ok just bag up the stuff i just paid for. So then i told her I would report this and she said make sure you spell my name right. I told her I needed my receipt and she said just wait for your credit card statement. I said no I want my receipt. She printed one asked me my name and then went out and wrote down my license plates. I do believe that the woman is a very angry person. I felt attacked over a stupid bottle we did not touch. She needs manners and I will never shop in your store again. Hello I went this morning to store #07488 located on 4917 N Shepherd Houston Texas at around 9am this is my first stop if I am running late for work I so dont like to stop at this store but sometimes I have to we buy all our cleaning products from Family Dollar I have been there when there are several employees huddled on one cash register with lines around the store people leaving their stuff cause they are running late and to top it off its been months that they do not have shopping carts we or i use a basket dragging it around the store or a box imagine that ok but today I went in and grabbed couple of bottles of bleach they were $5.60 so I grabbed two then cashier says they are $7 the manager was there did not get her name but an employee walked with me to shelve and saw that indeed all gallon bleach was on a shelve under $5.60 the manager said I am not giving you this bleach for $5.60 some one must of put it there so I said are you saying some one walked in and started to put things up for u or was it your employee look I said you guys do this every other time I come in apart from dragging a box or basket loading things in cause I am late I have to wait to see what surprise I will get when you ring me up I am late I spent time getting my products and if you or your employees are not able to stock your invatory in the right places then you should acknowledge the stress and work we as customers go through when we shop here its been months with out carts its been many times your products are in the wrong places and I dont work here mam you do and as a manager you should consider managing your poor service and attitude towards the customers bringing these things to your attention is not a something we have time to do she said regardless I am not selling this bleach less than what it is even after walking to shelve and seeing that I in fact pulled it from a shelve that had $5.60 it was a lot of bottles so guess what I am looking for is for someone to find out why they cant get carts and stock their products where we as consumers can actually stop the guessing games when paying and if you have 3 or more people on a rijister and see customers leaving with out purchasing what they had to carry cause there are no shopping carts fix it and why dont u have a number we can call a human

Today I am writing this email in regards to the manager “Jeffery” that is over the location 3465 NW 183rd street Miami Garden Fl. I applied for a Customer Service position at the mentioned location on April 1st. The store manager “Jeffrey” called on April and I was interviewed on April 4th. I advised the manager that I was interested in a part time position since I already work a day job from 6 am to 3pm. He was ok with that and stated that all he can offer in pay was $10.00 per hour. This was acceptable for me. On April 4th I received an email to complete a background check in which I did and I informed Jeffrey of this. On the same day April 4th I received another email extending me an offer of employment with Family Dollar. I reached out to Jeffery the same day via text and he stated that I needed to come into the store the next day. I replied ok will do. On April 6th I text Jeffrey at 2:55 pm to say I’m leaving my house in 5 minutes since I get off at 3:00. No response. However, I drive to the store he’s already gone. He send a text oh he’s sorry, he has to pick up his daughter. Ok this is fine I understood. Then he asks me can I comet to the store on the following day. I said I can only come after 3 since is have a day job. So April 7th I text him at 11:17 am to state I will come in a bring information after 3. He replies “OK”. At 1:47 pm I send a text at 1:47 pm I will be leaving my house at 3. He replies “ok no problem”. At 3:12 “Jeffery” text back “I don’t see you”. So I thought I made a mistake about the time so I replied back “I meant to say after 3” “remember I have a day job”. He text back “I’m leaving now cause have to pick up my daughter from school” . So I called him and then he said he has to pick up his daughter at 3 pm daily. So I asked when will you be in the office?
He says mornings all week. Monday April 11th I had two previous dr appts but once I got back to the area I stopped by the store location around 2:50 pm the young lady goes to the office door knocks but there is not answer. She was like I think he already left. Ok so I took a half day from my first job on Tuesday. I text Jeffery to state I will come to the store around 10:30-11. He text back “He’s off tomorrow”. So I text him right back “Ur only off tomorrow” no response. I text what about “Thursday or Friday” no response. I text him again. I have text u and called with no response. I was asking when u would be in so I can put in time off from my first job to complete what you are asking of me. No response. So I did request a half day from my first job today. I text Jeffrey at 9:08 am “Good morning have u already hired some one else for the position or are you still awaiting for me to stop by the store. As of right now no answer. I just want to make it clear that I accepted to job offer and was more than ready to work. I even turned down a job opportunity since I thought I would be working for your establishment. I do not want this to hinder me if I should apply at another location or with any of your established companies . I thank GOD that I already have fulltime employment in which I have worked for ten years in July it will be eleven years. However, what if I didn’t? I think this is very unprofessional of your manager “Jeffrey” to treat potential employees in such a way.

I stopped on my lunch at store #09215, as I was leaving the store the theft detection alarm went off, one of the items I purchased had a store theft device on it that was not removed by the cashier. The manager came over with another employee, I was treated very badly as if I stole something when the item was found the manager did not remove it and then she dropped the item on the floor walked away as I picked my item off the floor, again I tried to leave the store with the items I paid for only to have the same women now with two others call me back in the store again she did not remove the store device, when I tried to ask why it was not removed she interrupted me in a very rude way and in a very harsh tune told me that she was only doing her job. I have no doubt this entire encounter is on the store's surveillance cameras. The way I was treated should never happen to any customer. My co-worker suggested I call a lawyer.

Sunday, 3/27/[protected]@ 2pm at Family Dollar located on S. Transit Rd. in Lockport NY 14094. I was treated with such unprofessionalism, nastiness, disrespect. After having a problem using a family dollar digital coupon that I downloading unto my family dollar account, it wouldn't connect. The cashier was so rude and nasty. I asked for a manager and a female by the name of Rhonda approached with an attitude. I then just asked for corporates phone number and then the email address. Rhonda proceeded to say "You can't remember it". very rudely and condescending. There after I preceded to say how rude and nasty all the cashiers were and that none should be working in customer service. I preceded to walk out where I heard one of them say "[censored]" and that why are you using coupons anyway. This store is disgusting, dirty, unprofessional and the employees seem to be as if their out of space or addictive to uncontrolled substances. This store needs to be investigated without notice and reviewed unexpectedly. I am and have been a Family Dollar customer for years but with this service I will not continue to to patronize this company or condone this unprofessionalism.

I am a regular customer of the Family Dollar store at 6520 Midlothian Turnpike Richmond VA 23225. On Friday 03/25/2022 @ approximately 3:25 pm I went to the store as I do every day to purchase some food items and there was a hand written note on the door that read... " we're closed ". I hopped a bus and went to Kroger. On Saturday 03/26/2022 approximately 4:45 pm I went back to the Family Dollar to purchase a few more items and the hand written note was still on the door that they were closed so i turned around and went to Raceway a purchased the items I needed. It is now 03/27/2022 @ approximately 12:55 pm and I need some items but I will not be going back to Family Dollar because I walk an can't chance it.

Not handicap friendly/rude manager
3/24/22-2:30pm
1. Handicap issue-2 sets of doors-manual entry and exit, shopping carts with tall pole so can't take purchases to the car.
2. Manager rude and negative attitude
While being checked out, the customer in front of me was leaving. I noticed that she was walking very slow with a possible back/hip problem. She had trouble opening the exit door. She got the first door open and tried to move the shopping cart with her. The pole hit the top of the door and the manager very firmly said "you can't take the cart out". The customer gathered up her bags, propping the door open with her hip, and the manager took the shopping cart. There was no offer to help from the manager and that was the only interaction that the manager had with that customer. Since I myself had been checked out and going to my car, I assisted the previous customer through the doors and put what bags I had of hers in her car.
Desired outcome: Change enter/exit doors to automatic doors and allow the customer to take the shopping cart to their vehicle, if needed. In my personal opinion, the manager should be there for the customer and not just a paycheck.
