Hi, while I appreciate the Family Dollar digital coupon app, I find it extremely difficult to use at my local Family Dollar in Lenoir NC. Yesterday, Saturday 03-13-2021 i wanted to take advantage of the $5 off of $25 deal as well as a few others. I planned out my list and headed on over to shop. Upon arrival I witnessed 1 employee in the parking lot smoking marijuana with someone in a car while ahe was standing outside of the car. This employee was in a rage discussing how she had tried to quit her job at Family Dollar 3 times and she thought the third time would be the charm but no luck. She then said the last time she should have been fired but the manager just told her if she did it again she would deal with it. I brushed that off and entered the store only to find 4 employees standing by the cash register talking and laughing. The store itself smelled of marijuana, and was a complete mess. Still I was determined to get the items on my list because my family needed them. I proceeded back to the laundry detergent which was first on my list and was surprised to see empty shelves with boxes of the things I needed stacked high and no one refilling the shelves. Not once did anyone ask to assist me. feeling discouraged I left the store without 1 single purchase and went to Dollar General. I will attach pictures I snapped of what the shelves and aisles looked like. As I left the store, the 4 employees were still gathered around the cash register and the employee from outside was reentering the store. I dont foresee this location keeping enough business to stay open at that rate. After all if merchandise isnt accessible, business will be lost.
Desired outcome: Better overall experience
I find it extremely unlikely that you found a store that had 4 employees in the store and a 5th outside. Maximum I've ever seen unless they are unloading a truck is 2 employees. Chances are 3 of those people aren't employees. They were likely with McLane, Burkhardt, FritoLay, or Pepsi so not employees of the store, just delivery drivers and vendors

My name is Deborah Hyppolite I drive for a private owner and did for the first time a family dollar load route #2034. I went to my first store located at 609 Bellview Blvd. fairmont West Virginia I had a slow start but picked up the pace I was never treated wrongly by the associates at that store they showed respect and never complained I finished unloading at 11 am. I went to my next store located at 307 main st. Fairview wv. This is where my day made a turn. Kim the associate of family dollar did nothing but complain about family dollar and how they treat their employees. The truck was not loaded correctly and I had product from the third store mixed in with store number 5673 and had to make sure I was not sending store number 11954 down the rollers. The dog food and water were blocking boxes so I had to unload that before I could get to the boxes behind it. I made miss Kim aware of this because she was getting mad about the order of the product coming down the line. At the end of the unload that took me 4 hours to unload she asked me to take recycle and I said I'm not sure what I can take no one told me anything and asked her do other drivers take the recycling and she stated no none of the drivers take it and I said well I don't care what u put on the truck u know more than me because this was my first time doing the job. I never disrespected the women at this location. When I left to go to store number 11954 located at 100 Fieldview avenue Morgantown wv Kim called that store and told them something because when I got there the male associate there was rude combative and disrespectful. He stated I'll never have a job again with family dollar and kept using the F word towards me he also stated everyone hates ur guts so if I were u and stopped his sentence so I had responded back and told him to stop disrespecting me yes I'm late I understand that but how the truck was loaded was not my fault he called the manager and at the end she was very rude. I had asked if they were going to slide the totes on the truck like all the other stores did she said the hell I am it's not my job I asked what her attitude was she said something about me being late I tried to explain the truck had their product mixed with the prior stores product and that's why I was late then ur employee wanted to take 3 hours being combative with me so that slowed me down because he made it a living nightmare to even be over there. She slammed the door in my face. The behavior from your employees are unacceptable!

There is an employee currently working at this location that cursed me and yelled at my grandchild. Her name was Bailey. I will never forget this 18 to 19 year old girl that was so rude to us the other day. Also, I am elderly and the same young lady does not assist with a shopping cart or ask if I need any assistance. She does not even ask how my day is. All of the other workers in the store are always so kind and helpful. 2/20/2021

I do not know how many people write to thank you for rectifying a complaint, or the complaint has change for some reason after your investigation of it. However since this manager keith, from the dunedin, florida store on main street is no longer working there, by reasons of quitting, fired or displaced because of continuous complaints of other customers, I don't know, but it in itself is a blessing. I have no doubt that the sells revenue at this store will rise. Especially since I am most respected at our 538 home residence community located directly across the street from this particular family dollar, and I will definitely let the residence know at the meetings, of this change of management at family dollar. It pleases me that I can write the letter of gratitude, instead of a letter of complaint. I am attaching the original complaint letter from last year to refresh ones memory. Again, thank you.
