chestnut hill all purpose flour
I cant remember the day or time I bought the product but I'm a regular customer here. I was on my way home and realized I forgot my flour because I wanted to fry some chicken for dinner. I ended up stopping by family dollar and picking up flour which they happen to have the large pack for a dollar. I was really excited when I bought the flour cause I had never seen it For That price before. When I get home and put my groceries up I Started Preparing Myself to cook. I Open the floor and immediately bugs start crawling out. I ended up videoing and taking pictures of the product itself.

This Family Dollar in Hampton is the worst Family Dollar Store I have ever seen.
The Store is in a disarray. The items are mixed up and all over the place on the shelves.
There is never any staff or anybody to help you. There is no air conditioning in this store! The store is hot in = hot weather. Everyone is sweating. It is a shame!
There is never any staff in this store --except for two cashiers always.
There is always a sign outside that they need workers, and they are hiring, but no one stays long enough in this store. The cashiers they hire always leave.
There has been no store manager in this Family Dollar for quite some time. This store definitely needs help, and they are always "empty" in the food department.
This store needs a lot of help.

I wished store number 11371 on 9/3/18 at approximately 6:13 pm for a purchase. My credit card showed no sufficient funds, so I used another card. The problem I have is that the unprofessional cashier at the register made an announcement that I didn't have the funds to pay for my merchandise. There were other customers at the register and I was embarrassed. These are the things that keep customers away from certain stores. No empathy for the consumer. Some retraining could be used at this store.

However as usual After getting home and going over my Goods #2 of the items I purchased in hopes to add to a gift basket for my baby girl birthday next week this one is special to me cause I won't be there
One of the items I requested a deduction of was a damaged box of what I thought was incomplete of just bottles and only had sand bags inside but it just had some food and trash wrapper inside the Sand Art kit for $1.25 the regular price is $3.25 The #2 Item is the fairy charms Creative kids set at Regular price $5 i realized The work station it contains is mostly the box so I thought no deal I'll go back when Family dollar opens on today I tried to return them the cashier who was there today was rude To me every time I come there to both me and my wife she Opened the boxes in my face and said no I should wait for The manager to come that's who has the last say but when my Wife called to speak to the other manager This woman hung up on her and she may have gotten a bit of lip the 2 time my wife call I humbly apologize to you but everyday for 4 months i come in hoping to avoid her cause NOBODY in the store treat ppl like that That woman is disrespectful not only to customer but she is disrespectful to her Position as a employee Of family dollar this is the 3rd time why is she allowed to treat customers that way? she makes her co-workers follow us and we hear her LOUD saying to watch us and follow us last time she just made Mario follow us and he just apologizes red in the face, all we come to do is buy things for our family, not to be harassed by employees My wife is pregnant, we live Directly by the store and I purchase literally mostly everything We need there frequently not once have this happened on a simple return all I ask is that she is tooken care off accordingly, and that my wife and I not continue to be treated like this by Her again and that a return be made back to me in the amount I paid I don't mind if it's store credit or cash I just asked that it be fair? I recently quit Family Dollar store #9418. I did so because I reached burn out stage.
I f it weren t for the hard working managers at your stores most of you in the ivory tower would not be pulling down those 6 or 7 figure salaries. MY LAST two to three months I averaged 65-75 hours topping out at 88 hrs in the middle of july. You top executives need to to do an" undercover boss" to see the frustration we managers go through day in and day out.
Attendance is poor! why you might ask- hour rate too low, lack of a bonus system or monetary review for doing a good job. I went 22 straight days with at least one call off or noshow. The resultwas that I had to put on my superman suit and do my job as well as theirs.
I had one of the larger stores in the Milwaukee area and I treated it as if it were my OWN. I worked very hard to maintain store standards; however, hearing the constant threat of being terminated put me in a mode to find other work. Happily my talents did not go unnoticed and will be joining a company that values its hard workers. Store operations need to change if your going to be profitable in ALL your stores.
The way we handle unloading the truck is a waste of time, money, and employee energy. Monthly schematics should involve a separate team of workers that have the experience, speed, knowledge, and time to do the job right. This would include your monthly endcaps as well.
As a manager of one of your stores I work the overstock everyday and then had to help out with the 40-60 totes we received on weekly basis. YES I had employees to distrubute the work ;however, there are times when customers needed to be taken care of as well. ( I am betting not one of you could handle the work flow I did in a months time.)
Recover recover recover if Ihad the right staff it it would get done. Toys, apparel, and towels hardest to keep neat. The only time I sat down was to do the necessary store daily, weekly, monthly and making sure registers, change fund and the
deposit were done right.
I have been in the retail business for over ten years. Worked as a manager for an inventory company for over five years. I got a chance to see various store operations up close and Also working in the merchansing division of the same company.
Doing schematics can be fun but not if you are under constraints as we are .
I am a hands on guy. By working as hard as I did, I hoped to set an example -however, what I got were people who didn't care - AL will get it done!
As I showed and explained many a times I actually made less per hour than they did.
Finally as people of the ivory tower you ALL need to get your hands dirty. I heard many stories how each of you moved up within the company. I feel you all have been complacent. You forgot how hard it can be, the hours you all put in, the double shifts you all had to put in, the customer ridicule because you maybe following the store policy on a return only to be insulted, the laziness of some workers, the demand to cut shrink especially when security has been pulled away, two strong armed robberies and only to hear how it should have been handled or why and how the store could look better (REALLY)!
FYI I am not the only manager who feels this way. I predict You will loose half of your managers in the near future more so in the higher sales store than your rural stores. I I hope you you make some changes becausethe people you serve will be impacted.

condition of the store
This store has not been in our town long it was really convenient for a lot of people to go there rather than Walmart. About 2 months ago the store started goin downhill merchandise all over the floor I went in there today August 30 and it was like a bomb had gone off. Some isles you couldn't even walk down because the floor was covered with merchandise like someone had gone I. And emptied the shelves onto the floor frozen and refrigerated food setting on the floor instead of the coolers. People were complaining when I walked in the door to the cashier I found my way down an isle the things I went there to purchase I couldn't even get to I turned around and left without buying anything. This really saddens me it was a really nice store. I won't be back until condions change so will a lot of other people. This store needs your help or it won't stay open
racist cashier
I downloaded the family dollar app 4 days ago, i was registered and everything able to clip coupons and save them. I bought items for that purpose to use the coupons. I get up to the register, this lady was beyond rude. No hello, no your welcome thank you nothing straight ignorant. I was a former employee at this location and this is a disappointment I've worked customer service for 10+ years i know how to handle and treat a customer and she was none of those qualities. I go and tell her i have the digital coupons she goes no i dont know you need the app and i go NO I HAVE THE APP LOOK she looks then looks the other way doesnt even acknowledge the fact. So i ignore that rude gesture AGAIN, now for the coupons being used i entered my number and she goes no its not valid. I show her my phone and tell her scan the barcode then she tries after 2 times she gives me a dirty look and an attitude of really i really have to do this. I had to spend more money then i came with and now i have to ask someone to buy my babies food cause your CASHIER doesn't know her job or customer service. I'm feeling profiled cause I'm white and she was african american. I had my 3 kids with me she's watching them as they go by the gumball machine ignoring me giving me attitude. There was a line forming behind and she acted like she had no clue what to do, so before getting frustrated and saying something i just paid the full amount which i think is so dumb when i had the coupons! This is ridiculous after today i will never go to family dollar again. I can't believe i got mistreated cause im white with coupons. What is that about? Is that family dollar racist? I feel profiled and i feel like she wanted me to look dumb. Something needs to be done and it better.
deplorable customer service
I went in to a FD store #666 on 8/30/2018 to purchase some sale items that were on your FD app. I was the only person in line with the SM and ASM standing there but noone came to check me out. The SM then says the ASM would be with me. When i finally get rang up i let the cashier know i wanted to do multiple transactions to use my FD app coupons. The ASM didnt let me put in my phone # so i told her to let me finish she had a nasty attitude about it. After my transactions i was told by the SM i was not allowed in the store and not to come back.
I went to family dollar in charlottesville store #666 to get some items that were on sale. I went to the back where items were located but there was no ad signs in sigjt. I walked thru the store again there was no ad signs anywhere. When i asked the SM "which items where on sale and why were there no ad signs present?" She told me i was not allowed in the store anymore. This is the most horrendous service i have ever recieved from a SM she needs to be removed from this business. If you cant do your job right there is reason to take it out on paying customers. I will not ever return to this FD #666 until they have better customer service/removal of this SM!

I'm a value customer at the James Jackson pkwy family dollar in Atlanta, Georgia. Today August 29th at approximately 5:33pm I checked out 6 items at this location, which should have been 7 but I'm guessing the 1.00 lemon scent dish liquid was missed by the cashier. Once I reached home around 7:45pm I realize the dish liquid wasn't in my bag and I contacted the James Jackson pkwy location to make them aware of my returning because the item was missing. Upon calling the store at 7:57 pm, I was greeting by the employee stating "hello" I was confused if this was a business or a personal landline because of the way the employee answer the phone. I asked the employee if this was family dollar and she stated "yeah" very rude, unprofessional, and nonchalant. I asked if this is the way the business answer the phone, the employee ignored my question and asked "how can I help you, with an attitude" I explained to her about my missing dish liquid, which she then asked the another employee...without asking me to hold, "did somebody leave they dish detergent up here" after a few moment the employee place the phone on hold, once again not asking if it was ok for me to hold while she found out. When she returned she said " ain't no dish liquid on either registers. I told her I would check my receipt for the item, which then she advised me to bring the receipt back to the store as we disconnect. From checking my receipt, I noticed the item was never rung up. However, the rudeness and unprofessionalism was very distasteful and need some serious evaluation. At the family dollar on 1900 e Livingston Avenue I was very rudley treated by a cashier and I need a call back I'm a 55 year old woman and this Male cashier was very rude and totally disrespectful to me and I'm very upset my phone number is [protected] ...I was purchasing a birthday gift for a friend and when I was checking out I asked the Male cashier if he had a marker I could use to blot out the price and he said no and then I asked one of the female employees and she went right beside him and pulled up the marker and then he told her I had to buy the marker before I could use it and she said no I don't and then he was getting smart right in front of me and she told him to stop I asked her if she would cash me out because I'm not dealing with him and then he grunted at me and I told him he was very rude disrespectful and ignorant and I was gonna complain about his bvb behavior I have never been treated so badly in a place I'm spending my money at this is totally unacceptable and I need a call back to talk to a Customer service representative I need this guy to be taught a lesson...I can't believe there is such a rude person as this waiting on people in your stores please give me a call back soon

On 8/28/2018 at about 9pm in Jenkins, KY 41537.Me and my wife went into the Family Dollar to purchase a couple items.I was looking at the head phones and the manager walked by me and I spoke to her, I said"Hi, How you doing tonight ?", the manager (Juanita) ignored me, did not speak back just kept walking.I went to check out with my wife and the person at the register said something like "The manager said if you walked out the doors with that charger shes calling the law on you.I got so upset I asked to talk to her, he said she was in the back office, I emptied my pockets on the counter and I pulled my shorts down to show I did not have anything, their was no one else their to see me, just me, my old lady and the employee behind the counter.I went back to the office and knocked on the door to talk to the manager and she stepped out (Juanita) is her name.I told her I did not steal and I had not stole nothing.My wife told her she was 51 years old and too sick and old to be going to jail.Juanita said "Well it don't matter Ive had alot of people coming in here stealing lately, even an old guy that always talk nice to me that I would have never thought would steal anything and I'm sick of it".She said some other things too but the point here is, I did not steal anything and she accused me of stealing and calling the law on me and got me and my wife upset and my wife has had two strokes, she cant be getting upset.We go in that store at least 5 days out of the week but my wife said she would never go in their to shop again, she said she will take her business to the Dollar General store from now on so she don't have to worry about being made upset for being accused of shop lifting by a manager that is paranoid and taking it out on the few decent customers their is left, Jenkins is a very small town and everyone knows each other, now everyone will know what kind of manager is running the Family Dollar Store, my old lady loves to talk and write on the internet, she is the one writing this for me right now. I purchased a Verizon LG cell phone Friday August 25 andthe device was defective not opartable so they switched it for another cell phone that wad the same well that phone is also broken as the volume button is broken and as soon as the device powers on the volume control steady turn up and down on its own this phone was switched out for a replacement on Sunday August 27, For the same device I anitally bosame.Family Dollar manger will not give me a refund being I have had problems with 2 different cell phone's within few days apart even though I have my receipt and paid cash for the device I think being I've had these problems with 2 devices and the poor customer service plus all the time wasted back and forth and the gas money for the trips I think its only the right thing to do is refund me my money being the devices I've gotten over 3 day period have had major problems its only fair tube customer is taken care of and a refund shall be given.Hope I can bet this solved so I can just get me a cell phone, I also purchased a Verizon prepaid card and haven't even been able to activate either phone due to these issues please support your customers and do ways right.This Family Dollar is Located in MCcoll, Sc 29570 .Thanks Derek Brigman

I Shalandis Ware entered a family dollar located and was completely insulted by a associate. She complained about myself and my sister being (musty). The associate which her name was Toby by her name tag then turned ima fan and turned it towards myself and grabbed a bottle of Lysol I the pick can and then sprayed it into the fan and being that the fan was ok me it went directly into my eyes. I told the cashier that she sprayed my eyes she them said well I asked you to move back.Never not once did she apologize. I then told her hat was rude to spray customers it's just like sweeping out foot and she still argued that she again told me to step back. She then said she didn't want to accept my purchase so I ask her to get someone else or a manager she then said she couldn't she was the only one there which was a tale because I saw other associates there. So she still didn't accept my pie he so the young lady with me said she'll buy my things. I was very dissatisfied with her services very embarrassed because other customers were in line also. I hope this situation is taking care of immediately. This incident happened 8/27/2018 at store # [protected] E. Texas St Bossier City, La about 6 clock or in the hour I had on a peach shirt. Danielle Roberts is the Manager off store 11170. This is all of the complaints I have gathered on her from customers and a few I overheard from the workers.
•Store did not open till 2:30 pm (8/6/18)
- Happens often, store opens 30 minuets - 1 hour late when she opens
- Happened before, store opened at 10 am last time
•Took money from petty to go get quarters and never came back with it till the next day at like noon
•Always gives workers schedule late Saturday night
- Gives workers Sunday's schedule then rest of the week on Sunday after closing
•Left spill magic in front of the cooler for 2 weeks
•Came into the store drunk to the point where customers noticed
•Starts projects gets halfway through and starts another one and has other people finish them for her
- Two workers (Assistant Manager and Cashier) have quit since she's been there bc they were tired of picking up her slack
•Changed the safe code and didn't tell anyone so next day when they opened they didn't have cash till 1 pm when she woke up and called them back
- laughed when they finally got in touch with her bc they couldn't get into the safe
•$5 over when she declared (8/27/18)
cashier arguing for receipt
I paid for my merchandise and didn't get the receipt, went out cause I thought he gave me receipt with the change I return to the store in less of 30 seconds and ask for receipt and he start arguing in front of other customers and gave me the garbage can so I can look for the receipts. Awful experience this is not the first time that he has done that. You should check the camera

I bought a speaker for my granddaughters birthday and when she opened it it was not the speaker i paid for so i take it back to be told they dont take bck. Electronics that have been opened. Well how are you supposed to know it was the wrong item if you dont open it? The assistant manager said read store policy well there isnt one on the receipt so he points to the one on the counter. So i assume customers are suppose to read refund policy before making a purchase. He also said no one would put their old speaker in the box and return it but working in retail for 20 years yes people do just about anything but he argued with me in front of other customers saying oh well the customers not always right. Well ill dissagree especially when i have a receipt. So in other words if you buy something(electronics)from the family dollar and open it you are screwed... No refund. No exchanges even with a receipt thats only 2 days old. Ive been a customer for over 20 years and have NEVER took anything back. I will no longer shop there. I have to say ive never had a problem with any other retailer if i had my receipt. Very poor customer service

On 8/23/18 around 4pm I walk in your store with my manager that runs the Palms beside your store.
We were greeted at the door by employee on duty that day.Stating that I was not welcome in that store.I ask why! Employee states that I was on camera taking a bottle of nail polish.The police was called, no charges were filed.
I am appalled by this accusation, embarrassed, and waiting on legal on my end.
All I ask if your going to accuse me of stealing and it's on camera.Show me!
I was informed under council to Lodge this complaint formally.
If this can't be resolved within your company, I am seeking legal action.

August 23, 2018 in Sinking Spring PA, the store manager, a blonde haired middle aged woman was talking about her personal life to multiple customers in front of her as she rang them up. Customers that don't know her at all, had to endure listening to her run her mouth about her personal life. She has no boundaries or filter. She was telling people that her ex put a knife up to her neck. That she beat him up, and now the cops came after her, so she is going to Court now, and that the Court is going for her side because she doesn't have any criminal history. That her ex does have a criminal history, and that her ex-has dealt with the same Judge before.
Everyone has problems. Keep your personal life out of your work.

Walked into the Family Dollar on 1525 Manatee Ave E, grabbed my items for purchase and proceeded to the counter. There were 3 employees standing behind the counter with 2 registers and neither register was open. I asked the manager why a register is not open at lunchtime. His response was that they were counting drawers. This makes no sense. 3 people 2 registers and were counting drawers during lunch hour. I told the manager it makes no sense then was threatened by another employee named Chad. I used to go this store 2 to 3 times a week. The new manager and staff are toxic and I will not be returning.
