I am complaining about customer service I received at one of the stores.
I was in the store shopping and I was looking for a basket to shop with. One of the employees told there were a few around the store. So I went ahead to look for one and one of the employees had a basket with just 2 items in it rudely told me she wasnt letting me use the basket and she was putting up stuff therefore she wasnt giving up the basket. I then ask so you are refusing to give up the basket so I can shop in the store. She proceed with putting up her two little items and told me yes. I then told her I will just shop somewhere else. She then said ok thats fine and kept putting up her two items still.

The Family Dollar store located @ 9185 Magnolia Ave, Riverside ca. Store #10072 I as well as family, friends, neighbors love to shop here. At times you may find a courteous sales clerk and at another time you may encounter one with bad customer service skills. My Complaint is as I was shopping for about 45 minuets or so, I had to go to the bathroom so I asked can I use the facility and the sales woman told me no that we don't have a restroom, so I had reminded her that I was with one of my elderly patients whom is Caucasian needed to use it ASAP, so we proceed out of the store to go across the street to Slater Bros. So a couple of days went by and I had one of my Black / Caucasian Co- workers came to do a little shopping, which he did purchase several items, upon asking do they have a restroom again salesclerk lied again. So upon leaving and had 3 more friends poses as customers one had a child with them and were of Hispanic., asked for the use of their facilities was let into use the restroom. I along with so many others feel as this is racism to the fullest, we hope that this situation is handled properly, so anxiously waiting on a response, before we as a class act group take any LEGAL assistance. Have been a satisfied customer up until this type of Discrimination has been taken place at this location. Thank you.

I was shopping in there Sunday night with my four year old son when I watched what I'm sure is store employee and her hethan boys walk outta with bunch merchandise and was yelling how she left the manager a note to another employee there. My son questions me as to why those lil boys just get to leave the store with whatever the want without standing in line to pay like we have too? Seem to me like this was random thing this employee was use to doing like it was no big deal she was stealing... pretty much!

I believe that dollar general needs to offer some kind of couponing lesson for there employees I do not appreciate cartho questioning the staff if it was the black girl that has been couponing i am a professional couponer and not the only couponer it was not fair to be singled out or called out of my name this is not the first time employees have told me of his behavior and the way he talks about his customers I thought the customers suppose to always be right

I am very upset about an incident that happened at the family Dollar store on Grand in Dallas Texas. I walked in to the store to pick up a few things and I had a bottle of Gain detergent with me in my purse. I had gotten some where else. I had been in there at least 10 minutes already when all of a sudden a Lady walks up to me put her hand on my purse and grabs the detergent out of my purse. And proceeded to tell me she was going to check her camers to see if I stole it. Well naturally I told her to go ahead and do that. But in the meantime I was locked in .I was detained of a while and then it turned out she didn't even know how to work the camers.but she kept my detergent.i wouldn't have been so angry if she had proceeded to tell me in a professional way but to just grab my purse. I waited for awhile but she could provide no evidence that I committed a crime. She was very rude and caused an unnecessary situation we had a heated argument and I left. That happened at the end of May this year. I produced money to pay for the objects I came in after. I had no problem with her checking the camera because I wanted so badly for her to realize she had fausely accused me.

Customer Service professionalism and respect for customers at the above location and surrounding areas is extremely poor. On the above date, at approximately 6:30 - 7:00 pm, a store associate was using her personal cell phone rather than open a register to assist the only cashier. A gentleman before me in line became frustrated and asked this store associate, who is Spanish, to get off her personal phone to open an additional cash register; she replied " I can do whatever the f*@! I want to do, I'm a grown-[censored] woman, married, and have a job." I agreed with his comment, she called me a b*%@! and told me I can get the f*@! out of the store, then threat to have me banned from the store.
The only cashier on the register, who appears to be from Bangladesh, Iran, or another similar country, joined the conversation only to call me a stupid crackhead, ghetto b*%@! over-and-over again. I admit, after their comments I became very irate, I simply asked to purchase my items to allow me to leave the store. He refused.
A heated argument ensued between all three of us because of their derogatory remarks. The male new-hire or transfer cashier refused to allow the purchase of my items, which caused the line to be held-up for approximately 30-45 minutes. They made threats to call the police, I agreed to their making the call because of their constant derogatory remarks, and the fact that the Spanish, female, employee initiated the argument. It takes two to argue. The police came, listened to both statements, then simply stated he spoke to the store manager and I am banned from the store. No problem! That is their solution to every incident; poor management. Where was this manager during the entire encounter? Their work ethics is a disgrace to the company and an insult to this black community in which they work. Mind you, I am a regular customer that has never been a problem to them in the past. Because they both initiated the outbursts, they should both be fired AND banned from working for Family Dollar. Obviously, the Family Dollar Corporation does not value their customers located in" poor, low-middle income, urban" areas.
NOTE:
The shelves are always poorly stocked, clothes, shoes, countless other items are always strewn on the floor, in the aisles, falling from hangers, unorganized or missing from shelves. Boxes are over-stacked in the aisles and storage area daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. The floor throughout the store is filthy-dirty, large amounts of garbage, dust, store items lay beneath the floor shelves.
There is always a long wait, a long line to reach the register, store associates do not and will not open additional registers to assist. This associate tries to make herself look busy when she and store managers are being paid for doing absolutely nothing. The only persons that work is the one and only cashier.
I have addressed these issues with corporate, via email, many times; nothing is done to resolve any of the above issues. I suppose because it is a discount store, it doesn't matter.
Perhaps someone from corporate should consider the show "Undercover Boss."

On August 8, 2018 my sister and I were racially and or Sexually profiled, verbally slander, utterly humiliated and accused of theft in front of this entire packed Dollar store by the manager named Juanita who screamed at us "YOU PEOPLE" meaning either 1)Mexican or 2) two women together "GAY". She proceeds screaming at us YOU PEOPLE need to leave my store we have you on video stealing and a another customer saw you! YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET OUT NOW! I'm calling the police this is my store and I won't have YOU PEOPLE in here! My sister and I tried to speak with her calmly asking her PLEASE check the cameras! We also told her yes we had come in one hour earlier but we did pay for our items 2 waters and in fact requested cash back $10 which we have a Receipt for! We told her this must be a mistake and if she could please go check the cameras! She then told us she had. I then asked to speak to a manager and she shouted I AM THE MANAGER! I then asked her to speak to her manager she then screamed she is not here GET OUT! We asked if we could have her number she quickly wrote the district managers name Val and her number the paper shook it in my face and said here now YOU PEOPLE CAN LEAVE and I'm calling the police! We told her we would wait outside for the police to come because we had done nothing wrong then exited the store humiliated and embarrassed! One hour and forty five minuets later the police come Juanita and the other store employee let the police officer see the security Video. And of course there was nothing like what the store manager Juanita had accused us of on the store security cameras to validate any of Juanita's or the other store employee behavior or accusations! We also have video of the police officers statement to us and his notes from the incident! The police refused to file a report because he said no crime was committed! The Store Manager Juanita told the police that she in fact did NOT have any information nor any statement from the "customers " that she said told her we stole! Juanita's profiling, screaming, bullying, hateful comments, humiliating, defamation of our character and verbal slandering comments at store #02626 was is and should NEVER be expected what so ever! Then she has the nerve to have us stricken so we can never go to that store because of her false allegations! This treatment, incident and the accusations Juanita stated about us has made my sister and I who both already suffer from Anxiety highly nervous that we might see one of the customers from this dollar store at another store and feel like we need to defend ourselves or they'll a spread rumor that we are thefts to another store! This has us severally saddened, embarrassed and emotionally drained and being a women of a darker skin tone and my sister who is in fact gay Feel this should not be taken lightly and we should never have been made to feel this way!

The family dollar store by my house is always closed early claiming to have "computer issues". I shope there at least once a week & there is an issue at least 1 day of each week. I don't appreciate this being a loyal customer & this location is convenient for me since i don't have transportation. Can you please make sure something is done to fix this issue.

I went to the store to get school supplies for two of my kids i had my baby in the basket . I have noticed that their is a man starrin and me as he walks by he works there ( he is a colored man, im have nothin against him or anyone) then my baby starts crying and my kids had already gotten everythin they needed i was walkin to pay but my baby was still crying so i look up and the man was right there and tells me really rude to do something avout my baby that he cant be in there crying or to leave the store . I went to exchange a spray can that didn't work your employee told my not with it reciept..I said done continued my shopping as I went to get another spray I noticed several of them didnt work..as I went to check out I told the cashier several of the sprays didnt work and asked for a manager she told me he would be in later on I asked what his name was she said Matt and started acting mad because I asked for a manager I paìd for my items and she didn't hand me my bag so I reached over my basket and took my items as I was leaving the store the cashier threw the basket in my direction which crashed on the floor behind me I stepped back in and asked her did you throw that as me in which she responded no I was trying to hit the other baskets I said I think you were tryin to hit me..I left the store and called corporate and emailed..I spoke to my attorney who told me to go back thump the store and take a picture and talk too the manager..I did go back and took a picture and spoke with Matt who told me to leavethe store because the same employee started screaming at me sayin she threw it after I was poor the door Matt asked me to exit which he walked away and I started to leave when the employee stayed she wished she would have hit me in the head I asked Matt if he heard the comet he said no and asked me to exit..I did..I filled a police report for my lawyer and to show that this employee tried to hit me..It your policy for employees to throw the baskets at customers who pay? Or to try to make up stories about it..I want you to look at the tape my lawyer will be requesting a copy..Your employee could have hit a child or anyone who could of been walking in she threw the basket at least 4ft from the cash register..I have a picture and you have the video..I have filed a police report with Minneapolis Police Dept..This behavior will not be tolerated or go unnoticed..

My daughter went in to store#10026 the address is 806 South 16th Avenue in Laurel, Ms. The date was 08/14/2018 and the time was 04:15:28. My daughter had an incident that happened at her school on 08/10/18. The store manager heard about it through her coworker. So when my two daughters came into the store, the store manager started questioning her about the situation. She then told my daughter it was her fault and created an entire discussion about the situation with other customers. This same manager is always relaxing and never working much. Her and I had a heated shouting match outside the store when I asked her not to question my kids. She even has this man that's always hanging around the store relaxing with her. He started yelling back at me along with her. This manager is very lazy. She acts like she is at home when she is at work. The store is a mess with freight everywhere and tripping hazards. During our dispute I told her I was gonna report her and she said she doesn't care! The store manager should have never questioned my underage child! She should focus on her store and her store only! I need to speak with someone about her unprofessionalism!

The hole actually swallows an entire front tire. Someone is going to damage their car or fall in it and sue for negligence... especially at night.
I contacted the city on July 30th thinking it was their responsibility to make the repairs. They responded as follows...
Thank you for contacting the City of Jacksonville. The driveway is the responsibility of the businesses at this location, and therefore the owner would be responsible for the repairs. Also, if the pothole extends out into Atlantic Blvd, this would be the responsibility of FDOT as Atlantic Blvd is a state maintained roadway.

My husband and I and our 7 year old son were going fishing on August 13, 2018 in Rex Georgia. We stopped at family Dollar on Rex Rd. And 42 hwy for some drinks and a rope and some oil for our car. As we pulled in from the back side of the store the first thing u see is garbage, garbage falling out of the wood enclosure that the dumpster is in also the parking lot just had trash everywhere, a mattress or box spring was laying in the parking with garbage all over it. Inside were a lot of younger adults just hanging out, cery loud, cussing loud, and apparently we're running the store and they were hanging out in the parking lot doing the same thing, the inside was just as trashy as the outside. Two weeks ago I was shopping in the Family Dollar at 133 Water St, Fitchburg, MA. I am disabled and was in my power wheel chair as usual the aisles are narrow and generally blocked with some kind of merchandise. When I tried to turn a little to go back out, my left foot went under the bottom shelf and shook things off of both sides. One of the clerks came to see and she was so nice. But, when I went to see the manager was in the middle of a conversation with a friend, I tried to tell him and just shrugged his shoulders and went back to his friend. No, name, no incident report, nothing! I paid for my purchases. By the time I got home I realized it may be serious, then a few days later my foot was swollen and navy blue. I went urgent care and they read me the riot said I have cellulitis and am on a strong antibiotic. Let me just say that I loved that store and I can't go in there anymore.

I purchased a gift card so I wouldn't have to carry cash in the store, I asked if I was able to buy ANYTHING in the store with this card and was told yes. Well tonight I went in and asked for a bag of tobacco and tubes and was told that I wasn't allowed to buy that with the gift card. I proceeded to ask for her to show me where it says that in writing which she couldn't do. She then told me that SHE wouldn't sell it no matter what the policy said and when I asked to speak with the manager she said she was the manager even though I'm pretty sure she's not even 18 years old. Needless to say I'll be shopping elsewhere and anyone I know is going to be strongly urged to do the same.

My husband and I are new to the area . We rode oyr bikes to this location to purchase items for our new home. I had 200.00 in my wallet to spend tonight at your store but instead spent my money at the Dollar General . I left your store bawling my eyes out bc as soon as we walk in the store the cashier started ringing the bell yelling for the manager . She had a gentleman in line that she told hold on these two are thieves and come in the store all the time and shoplift. UNTRUE THIS WAS MY FIRST VISIT TO THIS LOCATION EVER ! Within one minute were approached by Laura Rice your imcompetent store manager who reeked of marijuana . Im a substance abuse counselor and Im certain the smell that was all over your store manager. She says did the two of you come on those bikes outside ? Yes we told her and very loudly in front of everyone in the store she said you two need to leave now or im calling the police. Confused my husband said why ? She said just because now leave now. I showed her my wallet full of money she said good for you leave now. I was in tears at this point . We did what was asked of us and came home calling our attorney. Im the niece of the mayor as well who was contacted immediately along with News Channel 15 on your side. Ive never been more humiliated in my entire life. Im a taxpayer and have a right to come into your store and shop just like anyone else. She apparently thought we were someone else and that we were going to steal . My husband and I both have very good jobs and have never ever stolen a thing in our entire lives. Ill be filing a lawsuite against this store for discrimination and being falsley accused of something im not. Your store manager however to avoid the embarrasment this lawsuit could bring to your store could apologize to my husband and I both. slandering my name to customers that come into the store.
I quit about 3 weeks ago at store #3726. I was an Assistant Manager there. I have alrady talked to the store Manager 3 times and the District Manager Cathy once and left 1 voice mail to her about this issue. Nothing has been done. Robyn Patton (Store Manager) has been talking to other employees and customers of the store about me and spreading lies about me. I called today and talked to the Store Manager in the Sterling, Colorado store about this too. I need this to stop and to stop immediately. I have another job already and happy now. She needs to do the same and move on and quit spreading lies to the public about me. She is also doing it about three other employees that quit at the same time as me. This is so very unprofessional. If need be i will be getting a lawyer and i will sue the store manager, district manager and family dollar. I have at least 20 people that will testify for me and i can supena a few more that i know she has also talked to. I am tring to go about this the nice way but nothing seems to be working. If i could have someone in a higher position call me so we can get this settled i would be greatly appreciated.

2013 Central Ave # 4, Dubuque, IA 52001. My mom, her husband, my boyfriend and I went to family dollar on August 9th for a couple important things and a couple things we wanted. There is a woman named Candy. She is a manager but has the worst customer service I have seen. We had to get a few things. Well one of them was going to be a bouncy ball for a little boy. We ended dropping one and bounced the other to make sure it wasn't flat or had a hole. The one we dropped I was getting ready to pick up when the Candy came to the top of the isle and said to all of us. She said we are grown [censored] adult. She would expect that from a kid but not [censored]ing grown ups. Then we told her we were getting ready to pick up when she said that if we dont pick it up now then we can get the [censored] out of her store. She constantly kept swearing and yelling at us for no reason. So what we already had that we needed we went a checked out. She was the only one working so 2 people out of the 4 of us went out. I tryrd yo stay there with my mom but she wouldn't stop so I walked out to. My moms husband then poked his head in and said is that [censored] about done yelling at you and treating you like [censored]. So then she finished checking my mom out and told her if any of us come back into that store we will be escorted out. So all of this happened because we accidentally dropped the ball and checked out another... as long as she's there I will never shop there again no matter what. That is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
