manager of diamondhead store
The female store manager at the Diamondhead MS location is very unprofessional. I visit this location at least once a day. Every time I visit I have heard her bashing other employees and customers. During my last visit she was complaining about an applicant BY HIS NAME, telling another employee how she would NEVER hire him. I personally know his family. This woman is TERRIBLE. She is also VERY RUDE every time she checks me out. She had 4 employees there at one time. She had one register open with a line wrapping around the counters and displays. The lady in line in front of me walked out. This location has lost ALL MY BUSINESS. The previous manager was WONDERFUL. She worked hard. And always treated everyone with respect. This new manager came from a dollar general in the back of my neighborhood. I will now be giving all my business to dollar general. And believe me when I say I spend 100s$ a week. I have tried to tolerate this problem, however when I heard her bashing someone I personally knew that WAS IT.
store’s security person
I visited the family dollar store on Thursday August 1, 2018. The store security person followed me around the store. Unbeknown to me that it was security. At times she blocked my path. As I headed for check out she was again in my path. I was not feeling well so I laughed at her hostile additude. She called me nuts. I remembered another item that I had to get and I, ignoring her, headed for the section that housed clothing. Again she crossed my path. Again she called me nuts. I became afraid when she said "you still have to leave the store and I will kick your [censored] outside".i was glad I had my phone as I contemplated calling the police. I approached the counter and she, for the third time, called me nuts. I asked the cashier for the manager and was told the manager came in early morning and I would need to come back. I asked her if I could leave a message for the manager. She told me that she could not give me the managers cell number. Off handedly she said that the assistant manager was in. I asked to speak to this person. By this time the security person was blocking the entrance door. I advised the assistant manager that I wanted to file a complaint and that I was considering calling the police. The assistant manager asked me who I wanted to file a complaint against and I pointed to this girl who was half in and half out the door on her cell phone. I motioned that I wanted to file a complaint against this person. She told me that she would inform the manager. I told her that it was wrong that I had been harassed by this person and that I seriously felt threatened and wanted to call the police. The girl then stepped away from the door and started to the back of the store. She said, loudly, "I was just doing my job". This is the first time I have ever experienced anything so frightening in my life.
I contacted corporate and left a detailed description about this incident. No one has called me to date.
conduct of the store manager
On Monday July 23rd 2018, I went to purchase a few items at my local Family Dollar Store located @ 117-10 Guy R Brewer Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11434. A sign was on the cold beverage frigerator indicating that lips Lipton Brisk 16 oz bottle Ice-T, was $0.99. Once at the register the clerk informed me that it was not 99 cent. I told her there was a sign that said it was. Ivan said okay then just return it because I was not paying $1.75, when the sign said .99 cents. The clerk then proceeded to call for the manager. Don't know where she was but it took her about 15 minutes to come to the register. Once there I explained to her that there was a sign on the cold beverage refrigerator. The manager was very cold and unfriendly and said to me there's no sign. Another employee in the store I am man walked over to the refrigerator and said yes there is a sign there . I then suggested to the manager that the sign be removed because you're going to have more conflict with other customers over the same situation . The manager mumbled something under her breath rolled her eyes and walked away . I personally shop at Family Dollar at least 3 to 4 times a week and so does my staff . I manage several residence that occupy the physical and the handicapped . I was extremely discouraged by her behavior . She is supposed to be an example to the staff that she manages by being professional, courteous and kind to all that enter that establishment.
I was told i could no longer open carry wear my firearm in the store by the family dollar employee
I was told that I could no longer wear my firearm inside the Family Dollar Store in Beulaville North Carolina because the employee or manager I'm not sure told me they did not like it they instructed me to either not wear it in the store any longer open carry which is legal in my state or conceal it which is actually illegal in my state without a permit I have worn my firearm in this door several times before and I have never been told this I would like some clarification on this matter
falsely accused of stealing
I walked in family dollar and the first thing i did when i came into the family dollar on 16th n mitchell in milwaukee wisconsin. I shopped around and hear they had a shop lifter in the store. They let me purschase my items n had my lunch bag to keep me from leaving the store the police harrassed me. Grabbed me by the back of my pants n took me to the back to see the camera just to find i didnt take anything. The the lady manager was rude the whole time didnt apologize i returned my items n left.

I purchased a red quad chair from my local family dollar on Friday July 27th 2018 and after purchasing and using the chair a few times the left arm rest plastic band connected to the frame of the chair broke as if it was not properly attached to the chair itself as if it was a manafacure error. the chair is only six days old and already broke it sat in the chair a total of 5 times. I walk into my local family dollar more than 10 times a week and this is the first time I've been disappointed in a product. The family dollar in new caney tx store #20291 1485 manager is very rude. I got a hand soap and put my number to use a digital. She said that there is no way I'll get it free. I told her that I am doing nothing wrong but putting my digital. She refused with an ugly attitude and voided the transaction. Then, she removed rhe rest of the hand soap so none else can purchase the item. I was so upset! Very bad customer service.
That is wrong. She cannot do that. She can not refuse a digital coupon is a digital.
the rude nasty supposed assistant manager
This is 2 completely separate complains on the same girl she was recently hired. I hav e been told that she is the AM here in Rangely Colorado. This girl made a very inappropriate comment while wearing her uniform in front of another store. She was just getting off work and I know I didn't acknowledge her anyway buy as she walks past makes a comment about drugs, directed toward my bf and I. She is also my nasty neighbor at the apartment that we work for, but anyhow its on camera and was really uncalled for. Now I would have let that go however today as my bf and I are I. The Family Dollar store she spots us and was very nasty speaking to her co worker when we were checking out about the kind of people we are. How we are scum and such I will NEVER return to the store and have to deal with the nasty a** girl who things she is better than everyone because she isn't getting her way with the landlord that my bf and I work for. Just because she is pissed that she is being told that she isn't going to get the maintenance crew(myself and bf) fired she is being an unruly and disgusting individual. She shouldn't have the job where she has to be around any one on the public cuz she has no people skills. Seriously this should be looked into by someone. A customer should be made uncomfortable while trying to shop and be a normal citizen in society.

Store # is 10679, it just down right dirty the box container is a disgrace, need to hire a ground keeper/. store manager locking doors 15 minutes prior to closing
My husband and I reached the family dollar in Topmost Ky on July 29th 2018 at 8:45 Pm one of the sales associates had came to the door and I could read her lips as she was saying they were closed she then unlocks the door and I ask what time they close and she proceeds to tell me 9:00pm. She then goes back in and asks her store manager Alicia Turner if we were able to come in and I could see Alicia making smart remarks towards us. The sales associate comes and unlocks the door and tells us that we can come in but Alicia said that we had to hurry. My husband was the one that went inside and as he was checking out Alicia told him that she was ready to go home and get out of the store that she had been there allday so everyone needed to hurry. I really do not believe that this manager deserves the position and title that she is holding as she is very unprofessional and rude to her customers. This happened to several other people last night as we were not the only ones and they said as well that they were going to contact corporate. This is not the first time that we have been done this way with her locking the doors early and not letting anyone in. Something really needs to be done about this because alot of people are getting done really dirty by your store manager at Topmost Ky.

ice cream been sold without seal and freezer burnt
On 7/29/18 my other half went to buy me some ice cream but he didn't check the product before leaving the store as well as the cashier didn't do his/her job of quality control of product leaving the store. Well the chocolate chip mint ice cream had no seal and when you open it up it has freezer burnt and look as if someone took a taste and just sat it back in the freezer. unsanitary conditions at family dollar
The Family Dollar store located at 1043 Stuyvesant Avenue, Irvington, NJ 07111 has rats running around inside the store. The smell inside the store is foul and unbearable. The freezers are broken and dirty. The rodents are taking over the store which makes it impossible and needless to say fearful to shop there. The Health Dept should be made aware of this to get this awful situation abated/resolved.

I would like to begin by saying that I spend on average $100 week at this store.
Today I made a purchase of $37. When I got home my husband had already bought the items. I kept some and my husband went to get a refund on 4 items he had the reciept. We are on a fixed income so every dollar counts. My husband called me and said the manager will not give me a refund, I thought he was joking. He told me the manager yelled at him Infront of all the customers. My husband was so upset when he came home and let's add he walked there, approx. 9 blocks in 100 degree heat. The next day after church I decided to walk the 9 blocks in 100 dgree heat and I am on disability. The store was crowded only one register opened and guess who the same manager that my husband had encounter with. I placed the 4 items on counter with my reciept in hand I said I would like a refunds on these items. He said like o told your husband I am not doing it. I said that is not the store policy. Here took my items put them in a bag and handed it to me. I asked if I can exchange the items since they were double bought and he said no. I am beside myself and decided to seek an attorney. Horrible experience
I just posted a complaint and wanted to add that I feel that the manager was prejudice. He is black And 95 percent of the customers are also black. I was at the Sydney New York 1338 store today and Alice waited on me and I had a lot of things I was going to purchase for my granddaughters for next year along with everything else I was purchasing I spent 200 as it was and it put a lot of things back because Alice said when I brought up two bathing suits one was marked $1.50 and one was not marked she would not let me have the one marked $1.50 which it's only a matter of $2.50 and I'm not going to argue. about that but how I was treated was just very very very unfair and very demeaning and I will not tolerate that at all, However I know how that works if somethings marked a certain price that's what you get and the girls name was Alice and I am very disappointed and I will probably never go in that store again a dollar general or is in our town to that's where I'll be taking my business so I'm tell Alice and she shouldn't be treating people like a piece of crap about a two dollars and 50 Cent item and that is not good for your business either and I would be very careful how you treat people because this I have a business in my own town as well and I won't have a Little Miss Alice treat me like crap

On July 28th 2018 and previous dates prior as a customer have witnessed employees calling the police on customers. Some whom were assumed shoplifters. Which I agree you should be apprehended if you take without buying products. But to assume one. Or more are making drug transaction in a store. Is a bit over the top. Yrs that is what one of your assistant managers did on July 28th. 2018. First, its a crime to falsely accuse another of something they did not do. Secondly. Shopping while black is not a crime although your employers at 340 es Blvd. Muskogee Ok 74403 do. I spend a Lot of money in your business but after this incident. I will not spend another penny in that establishment and I will let others no what to expect when they shop there. And they can make a conscious decision if they choose to shop in a discriminating business. Judging a customer by their color of their skin or buy the nature of their personal appearance because personally. Your employees look like well. I have no good words but surely nothing to be judging another. I thought you should know what your employees are doing. And begging customers to buy candy for a dollar to boost sales is ratchet. rude customers service
I was at this store location a 8:50am waiting for store to open at 9am but only to still be waiting still 9:10am. I saw the employee enter the store at 8:50am so I decided to wait cause I only needed aluminum foil but only because she heard me mention I was contacting corporate for store not being opened. She contacted security on me and wouldn't honor my purchase. I was then put out by security and most importantly I was humiliated in front of customers because she was able to speak her mind but refuse my service, called security, and had me put out with my grandchild. I will be contacted BBB of incident cause No one should be denied service when speaking back to Rude workers.

I was shopping with my two boys and my husband we was looking at board games when I was approached buy a child around the age of 12 which seems to be the daughter of one of the employees she then began to ask me if I tore open the game which I had not it seemed to look like the box was stuck to another box which someone must have told them apart after I told her that I did not do it she's then said in front of several customers that we was probably going to steal it anyways I've never felt so humiliated in front of people I'm a regular customer and have never been treated this way I am so much didn't even have a purse on me for someone to even think that I could have possibly been stealing something. The store employees are requiring that women relinquish there purses to the cashier in order to shop in the store, or leave your purse in the car, where he in Gainesville there has been a rise in car break thief's . I refused to relinquish my purse because I have shopped in the store for years, I am not a thief and nor will I be treated like one because they are falling short in the area of having a loss prevention associate in the store. They also have a sign on the front door that states you have to relinquish your belongings. I'm pretty sure that this is not a corporate policy. I also know other people that they have done this too, my sister being one of them. This is completely unacceptable .
