On 9/21 I came in to get a battery changed — as soon as I turned my car on to leave my entire radio and navigation system no longer worked. Guess what they did? They hooked up my battery backwards and fried my electrical system. They said to take it into the vehicle's service center because it was just a simple reset. It was not. The make of my car doesn't have a "reset" like they said — it is very scary that they do not to know automobiles well enough to know that information. The service center said there is no such thing with this make and model as "resetting", they are confused with another type of vehicle. How do they not know cars well enough to know that? They told me that they would pay for it if it was broke, but they were absolutely certain it just needed a reset. Again, the make of my vehicle doesn't have a simple reset. They hooked up the battery backwards, fried my radio and navigation system, and now do not want to make it right. The service center's quote is now at around $1400 with labor and parts.
Claimed loss: $1400
Desired outcome: Either they replace my navigation system or they go to small claims court with me.
