The store in general
I bought 3 Marie Callender mini very berry pies [protected]). All 3 had frost on them like they were not properly temperature controlled and were banged up inside of the box. I also used the ladies room and the the changing station for children was filled with urine! But wait there's more, the check-out lines were backed up into the isles and none of the 3 cashiers called for help until some of us asked in line. Desired outcome: Someone regional or higher come and fix it. I do hope that it's brought up to standard as your other newer stores. The neighborhood needs it!
Service of worker in the Deli
The worker was so rude to me I stood there listening to her talk so mean to some of the employees I got mad for them. She then waited on me and her attitude was horrible. This happened at the store in Harlan ky 40831. If this employee keeps up with the way she is treating people I'm sure they will lose a lot of business and fast. Cashier did not activate gift cards that I bought
I bought gift cards at Food City on December 3, 2021 at the store on Asheville Hwy. 37914. The cashier neglected to activate these cards and my brother is not able to use his gift card. I no longer have the receipt. Can I possibly get a copy of my receipt or be able to get a refund of my $30.00? My name is Michelle Edmonds and my Food City Valu card number is [protected]. I entered the food city located at 4510 TN-58, Chattanooga, TN 37416 today and the manager was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was treated terribly because I was black and pregnant. The manager showed no empathy at all whatsoever towards me while trying to make a purchase for my disabled fiancé. The manager walked away from the counter and refused to ring me up after I asked him repeatedly would he ring me up please. I felt embarrassed I have not ever been treated this way shopping at a grocery store. He even threated to have me escorted out of the grocery store by an officer that knows me personally alleging I was "rude". I did not use any profanity I did not insult him in any way and all of this was done with my two small children beside me. I will not ever shop at this store and I would like an apology for the mistreatment I have experienced today.

Credit card payment
I settled a bill at Rajagiriya Parliament road outlet with HSBC credit card and I received the confirmation by a sms but the counter girl said that my transaction didn't go through and and despite my protest re swiped by card for a second time and charged me twice. After confirming with HSBC that I have been charged twice I brought it to the notice of the manager via a on site sales associate called Madhubashini, I was assured it will be resolved within the day but up to now it has not been resolved and they are not even courteous enough to answer my phone calls as promised ([protected] my no).

Unprofessional employee who invaded my privacy during a trip to the women's restroom
I walked into the Food City on Baseline in Tempe Arizona. I went to use the ladies room before I started my shopping. While I was in the ladies room a MALE employee decided to come in and address that I've been in the bathroom too long and stating that its been 15 minutes and I needed to get out. I was mortified by his actions that is absolutely not his job to let a costumer know they have been using the bathroom too long. It was unprofessional, an invasion of my privacy. I didn't even see any employees when I entered the restroom. Plus a MALE EMPLOYEE SHOUKD OF NEVER ENTERED THE WOMENS RESTROOM, thats borderline sexual harassment. I can't believe that I had to even deal with a situation of this kind. I will be contacting my lawyers and I WILL NEVER GIVE FOOD CITY MY BUSINESS EVER AGAIN. I WILL POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA ABOUT THIS UNPROFESSIONAL ACT BY THEIR ENPLOYEE. Its a public restroom there is no time limit and I find it odd that their employees are watching the customers in the bathroom. You need to fire this employee immediately. So unprofessional. FOOD CITY YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAYWER!

On wed 10 5 I bought a bag of cat food in Ooltewah Tn when I got home to Cleveland Tn realized i grabbed wrong food. So i ran to food city in Cleveland on apd 40 to exchange the cat food. They said they would not take it i had to drive 30 minutes back to ooltewah. I could not beleive it what a crappy way to be. So we have walmart. cooks publix that's where I shop from now on. I also put on facebook how crappy this policy is.

Covid precautions
The store manager, Terry Templeton, at the Piney Flatts food city has Covid. The whole store knows he does. HE IS STILL AT WORK! This is absolutely ridiculous. Yes he has been vaccinated but that doesn't mean he can't give it to other people. So does KVAT think it's okay to expose employees and valued costumers to covid? Valued costumers that don't know they are being exposed. Valued costumers that could very well possibly be high risk. He has no reason to be there. He makes salary for crying out loud. What is wrong with you people to risk giving an elderly, a person with an autoimmune disease, or even a child? This is too far. Way too far. If someone comes down with covid because Terry Templeton can't take a few days off that is no ones fault but KVATS! If someone dies because of this nonsense, it is no ones fault but KVATS. All of the other employees are required to quarantine when they receive a positive Covid test but he doesn't. What is this? Special treatment? If something isn't done, I will be contacting the health department!
Desired outcome: Require people to quarantine when they have a positive covid test/have been exposed, make employees wear masks, and simply keep people safe!!
Lake Havasu City, AZ store branch
At the Lake Havasu City, AZ "Food City" branch on Sunday September 12th, must have been around 8 am - I, as well as three other lines full of customers, were waiting in line for 5 to 10 minutes while the 3 cashiers on duty stood in a circle talking amongst themselves before they decided to start doing their jobs. They didn't turn off the number lights on their lanes so people kept piling into them while the cashiers barely paid any attention to the customers whatsoever. When I got to the front of my line (the only one moving cause they were circled around one cashier) I showed the cashier my ID for one of my items and then 5 seconds later she asked for it again, aggrivated, I said to myself "I just f****** pulled it out" and she flipped her attention to me, the customer, for the first time I might add, as she was talking to her "friends" the whole time (coworkers doesn't seem appropriate since that's the last thing they were concerned with), with an attitude and said "did you just curse at me?" I repeated what I said and she said "you don't curse at me" and I retorted with something along the lines of "how about you don't disrespect the customers by wasting our time while y'all sit there talking." Then like an over emotional child, she refused to finish ringing me up and another cashier with a plastic full face mask took her place and as she handed me my receipt said "you don't have to come back here." To describe them all three of the women where older and white two with grey hair one with brown. All in all, a very unprofessional experience, completely unacceptable, and a horrible representation for your company.
Desired outcome: Inform the employees that they should act like employees while on the job and not school children with attitudes towards customers who are trying to check out with their purchases. and make their purchase.
Unlawful trespassing
I was banned from the chilhowie store for asking to inspect the non existent pharmacy liscences that are suy to be posted and available for scruitiny and validation asst manage Travis was alerted by I'm not sure what pronoun to use to describe this transgender employee I don't want to be judgemental she had bright red hair and a attitude to go with it I asked her for the district managers contact info she tried to sell me there was no such thing as a complaint form and called Travis who showed up and tried to take me with another employee to the back. He advised me I was banned from the store this has caused a severe hardship on both my elderly mother who was the recipient of the perscription further I've spoken to counsel regarding this I've been a 5 year customer I've never had an issue with any food City staff at any store if this ban stays in place a legal action could follow all I want to do is be able to shop. Your pharmacist is already refused to fill my perscriptions there not nowing anything but a single drug I take that's clear discrimination I get it at other food City pharmacy I strongly suggest you speak to your legal council I'd like to know the pharmacist name as she refused to provide it the perscription had to be transfered. L this could have been avoided had I not been threatened with trespass which has not legally been done I'd like to inspect the proper positioning of all pharmacy staff as you would expect at say CVS Walmart and Walgreens this will be following up with a complaint with the board of pharmacy on mayland drive Richmond VA

Floater Pharmacist Always On PHONE

She is a floater and every time she is in the Calhoun store, she's on her phone. I have a photo to prove her being on the phone. She barely does anything else while the tech is left to do most of the labor around the pharmacy. I've watched and noticed this countless times. This isn't the only time either. She has done this EVERY. TIME. She comes to this store. In the picture shes hiding within the medication on her phone. The tech doesn't mind doing the work, but this pharmacist will not help her at times when it gets busy.
I don't want money. I don't want anything. I want someone to say something or do something at the fact that she's always on her phone and not doing her job.
A cashier
I always do my grocery shopping at Food City. I went through Miss IVY line today well I had my four and a half month old in the buggy so I went around to put my Food City card in the system and she told me that she needed to scan my drinks I said I know I was just putting my phone number in for my Food City card. She then stated that she could do it. Well she never did put my value card information in and I felt like she was being rude and insinuating that I was trying not to pay for my drinks. I could have understood if I paid for everything and didnt tell her about my drinks but that's not at all what happened.
Desired outcome: I want someone to have a talk with her and let her kno how she makes customers feel.
This is the Food City in Loudon, TN. The Food City brand sugar and the International Delight coffee creamer..
Every single time I have gotten the Food City brand sugar at different locations, the sugar ALWAYS has MASSIVE AMOUNTS of gnats in the different sizes of sugar. I would expect for some bugs to be allowed due to nature. Although, this is not that. This is more like there is a nest in the sugar processing plant that is NOT BEING CLEANED PROPERLY OR AT ALL. Then, there is the coffee creamer issue. This is the 5th and the last time I will return a creamer because I will no longer be purchasing sugar or coffee creamer from ANY FOOD CITY LOCAL. THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS and UNSANITARY. And let's not forget the MANAGER of whom I did NOT get her name but, who did argue with me about the coffee creamer being spoiled. I had to tell her to smell it, (which is common sense) at which point she still argued but gave me the money back on the creamer. I wanted to trade it for another possibly unspoiled creamer but, I didn't feel like debating on whether or not the creamer is spoiled and taking the chance of yet another spoiled creamer, so I just asked for the money back. Which was rough in and of itself due to the rude female I had the pleasure of talking to. I also didn't know you could add a picture. I think I'll wait about 3 months then, check and take pictures or the gnats in the sugar. And after that, contact the BBB and let them know this hasn't been resolved.
Desired outcome: Less gnats in the sugar. Or clean the gnat nest. Someone REALLY NEEDS to address the customer/employee conversations. That's not going well at all.
The cashier named Raquel at food city located @ 35th ave and Glendale (Racially Profiling)
My and I was in the express line scanning the food the cashier Raquel comes and stand direct behind us and watches us the whole time. Then she walks back up to the front and continue to watch us. I as if we were being felt racial profiling. I place the two bags of yam on the scale to weigh them because they were 79cent a pound, she's still watching shaking her head walks over and grab the two bags of sweet potatoes out of the grocery bag and start to re- weigh them and try to make a correction to the receipt. I stop her and told her that they are correct and that the price is 79 cent a pound, I showed her from where we are standing and she could see the price then she walks away. This lady stared me down as i walked away. Her behavior was very unprofessional and this is what they do when they think you're stealing. I've been going to this store for over 27 years. I was very offensive. Shame on you Food city if you allow your employee to treat their patrons like that. I was told that she does very well at working the express lane she needs to stop racial profiling because that's what it is.
Percent discount not given
This happen 7/2/2021. I was ask if I would like to use my 5 percent discount on a $223 order. I said yes, but the cashier said she was sorry, but she could not get it to work. I ask for the manage and the manager said she was sorry but she could not get the discount to work either. The manager said she did not know what to tell me there was nothing they could do. I said that there was something I could do. I could go to a Food City that their 5 percent discount worked. I waited to use my discount to get the most out of it. Produce worker
I was feeling to see if a cantaloupe was ripe by slightly pressing my finger on it. The worked (woman, brown hair, 40s) asked me what I thought I was doing. I told her I was feeling to see if it was ripe because I need it by tomorrow. She then continued to tell me all I was doing was putting huge brown spots on it. Mind you these are very hard cantaloupes lol. I just picked up one and smiled at her. No complaint made at the store because I do not like to complain but she had plenty of work to do in her section and shouldn't be staring down customers while they're trying to shop insisting to be informed on what they're doing. She was very rude and the situation made me uncomfortable. Thank you

coupon received in mail
I was in store 687 and I redeemed the $ off $ order that I had received in the mail. I know the coupon for the $ was a one time thing but the rest of the coupons were one transaction per day. The clerk would not give it back to me and the manager agrued that I the customer was wrong. I guess I was robbing her of some money. That wasn't much free and since I live on a limited income with large bills I am feeling awful that I would take money from them. I need an apology and an/or coupon back in it's place., , .

Mesquite Ridge Barrel Charcoal Grill
Food City ad for May 21 & 22, 2021 has this grill advertised for 49.99 after a digital coupon discount of 30.00. Here's the problem none of the stores have them. Is this false advertising? I checked with all the stores in my area and couldn't find this item. If Food City is going to advertise something they should at least have one per store don't you think.
Vaccination segregation mandate
Just like Nazi Germany, vaccinated employees are given preferential treatment being rewarded monetarily and by a symbol on their name badge. Their draconian reward is not wearing a mask while shaming those without the public mark. Clear case of HIPPAA violations! How is this being inclusive? You don't ask employees what health conditions they have? Nor what other vaccinations they've had? This breaks so many laws!
