Appliance delivery and disposal of old appliance service
I went to Home Depot and ordered a new dishwasher to replace one that was leaking and a motor that malfunction because, I suspect, roach infestation. I paid to have the old dishwasher hauled off. I was pleased with the new dishwasher installation and was told that the old one would be picked up the next day. That did not happen. I called to complain and was told that it would be picked up one week later and my payment to haul it off would be refunded. It sat outside my home on the sidewalk the whole week. On the day that it was to be picked up I received a call from Home Depot that they were not going to pick it up because it was "bug infested". I'm getting my $25 back and have made arrangement for another company to pick it the old dishwasher, but this is the second time Home Depot has pulled this kind of stunt. They did it several years ago with a freezer and it was not "bug infested". They put the old one in the alley. Don't pay the haul away fee. I have done a lot of business with Home Depot when I remodeled a kitchen and a bathroom with them about six years ago (over $12, 000 worth) and I'm thinking of taking my future business elsewhere.
Desired outcome: I got the refund back. I hope the company would apologize and not continue to behave this way to others.
Rental department return policy
We rented Submersible Pump 2" for two days not knowing how long we would need it. Was told can bring back earlier and will receive credit on payment. Please bring the hot dogs back to Home Depot's in Michigan. This was a great way to grab a bite after I/we shop so we can return to work after shopping. It was so convenient to purposely pass Lowe's and Menards to combine food and shopping. We are a landscape business and many of our employees shop daily at Home Depot for all sorts of tools and materials to complete our work, they often stop and grab a hot dog because it is so easy and quick. Now it will cost us more time if they stop somewhere else. Why ruin a great business idea/model?
Desired outcome: Please bring back the hot dogs at your Michigan stores.

In July 2018 I purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot, Covington, LA location. At the time of purchase I set up estimated delivery date of August 15, 2018 at my address: 673 Leeward Drive, Baton Rouge, LA. 70808. Due to health concerns I had to reschedule the delivery date and later called and canceled the order. The dishwasher was never delivered to my home. The way one of your employees was treated/harassed
Denise, an associate at your Home Depot Beechmont store, Cincinnati, OH., recently left the store after she was confronted by the assistant manager (Adam) and another department manager (Velvet?) She (Denise) was called into Adam's office by him(Adam). As she entered his office, the other person came in and loudly shut the door. Denise was set-up by Adam. I believe that this is totally unfair practice for any business.
It had only been a few weeks since Denise had been told that she was one of the best in her job! Then the two individuals attack her and the work she did. Totally unfair. Instead of getting upset and everything, she simply took her apron off, laid it on Adam's desk and said "Here's my apron, I am done." This is an employee that had been in the store since it opened. What's even worse, is that the store manager didn't call Denise to see what had happened.
I use to think you were an awesome company, but not anymore...can you say "age discrimination"?

On 6/3/21 I ordered a Bosch dishwasher from Home Depot (in store). It was to be delivered, installed and the old one taken away on 6/23/21. When delivered, the delivery team could not install — said I had to install a plug rather than a hard wire system. I did so. Re-delivery was scheduled for 7/14.
On 7/14 I received a call from the delivery team stating they couldn't install as the machine had no plug. (Bosch claimed it was in the machine). Then they told the delivery service that they had the wrong install kit. (HD checked and there was no special kit required — they had the correct kit.) I suspect the team didn't want to come out as delivery was scheduled for 4:30-8:30 PM.
A RE-RE-SCHEDULE was slated for 7/21. Set up at 8:30-12:30. Arrived around 9:15 and told me they don't install. They just drop off. Checked and found no plug (since ordered for overnight delivery from Bosch — Mona at [protected] — conf # 6145691) They didn't want to take the old one — said they were out of room. Since they had just taken mine off truck, I forced them to take it. Currently, install team set to come Friday, 7/23. We shall see

On July 17 at approximately 7:30p.m. I went to home depot to pick up a vanity I ordered. When they brought it to me I realize it was to heavy and I would pick it up another time. Then I went to buy 5 pound bucket of compound and when I took the elevator at the 3rd avenue store in Manhattan to leave the store - Tamisha Howard came up to me and said you called my employees monkeys and you cannot come back into the store. I never said that. I called the police and while I was waiting an employee came out and said to me you fu..ing bit.. and he kept saying it as he crossed the street. I filed a police report at the NYPD 17th Precinct. On Monday I will have the complaint report number and call Corporate office.

Incomplete order
I placed an order online to pick up in store for a Bathroom vanity with sink and mirror.( SKU# [protected]) I picked up the box and it had fragile and glass on the outside of the box so I assumed it was the complete set. When I got it home it was just the vanity. I called the Home Depot store in Belton MO, they told me to call Home Depot on line. So I called and talked to Kayla she said she would send an email and would forward it to me when she got a response. 4 days later I hadn't heard anything. So I called the manufacturer and they assured me it was on Home Depot, they send the 3 piece set wrapped on a pallet and have a bill of lading that was received by Home Depot. She said all she needed was for Home Depot to issue a PO for the missing parts and she would send them out. I called Home Depot on line and spoke to Ingrid who then transferred me to Bridget who told me they could not do that because the missing pieces were more than 50% of my order. So I have to uninstall my vanity and return it. She asked to reorder the set for me I told her no thanks I will purchase one from their competitor.

Window Installations
I have getting the runaround about my window installation since the beginning of June. They called at first telling me they had no one to install and then no call for 3 weeks. I start hounding about getting my windows installed and more runaround. I get a a call today and supposedly 2 weeks from now they will be installed! I will never purchase something that needs installation from Home Depot!

Veterans discount
Home Depot offers a 10% Veteran's Discount in the stores, but will not honor it online like Lowes does. Why! I went into the store to order an air conditioner, where I would have gotten a 10% discount, and they referred me to homedepot.com where it was available and I bought it. I was told by customer service that my discount would not be honored online. Is this a ploy to make more money? Lowes honors Veterans with a discount both in the store and online. Shame on you Home Depot for only supporting Veterans "sometimes".

Just like everyone else, I waited all day for a delivery which never came. Even tracked it online and called a few times to see if it was being delivered that day which, of course, they assured me it was. No phone calls, never showed up. How disrespectful can a company be to their customer? Home Depot's delivery service is the worst!

July 3, 2021 I purchased over $3, 800 worth of merchandise from Home Depot. The order number is H0668-230192. I was scheduled a July 10, 2021 delivery at 3229 Cherry Blossom Court Perris, Ca. I received the automatic phone call for delivery the day before. I was informed my delivery time was between 1000-1400. I personally called the Murrieta Store on July 9, 2021 to give specific directions to my home. On June 30, 2021 my wife and I moved to a new development. The customer service rep ensured me the information is in the system. Please note my home is only 1.5 miles from the 215 freeway. Not hard to find if the directions given was passed down to drivers. This is the first failure point.
July 10, 2021 received a phone call at 1001. At that time I was outside of my house talking to my neighbor and missed the call. I returned the call at 1004. No answer. Left message. No return call. Left text. No return text. Honestly I was not sure who called. The number was 1-562-939-9449 (ID as United States). This number is a non-return app number. Your a customer service base business and customers can't contact drivers. Second failure point.
I figure it was not the driver who called because they would have answered the phone or returned my text/message. I was totally wrong. So I waited around my house. I continuously checked the order status via internet about delivery status. It stated all day, "Items on truck and out for delivery". I called Murrieta Store about 1300 and was informed we should have a delivery before 1400. At 1430 no delivery and no follow up with customer. Third failure point. I was directed by the Murrieta Store to contact the delivery department. This is where your customer support service was below poor.
Between myself and my wife we called the 1-877-946-9843 number three times. We received three different responses on why our items were not delivered. The first rep made it my fault because I didn't answer the 1001 call. Even though I called right back to the bogus I don't want to be bothered by the customer number. The second rep said they was lost in Lake Elsinore and needed directions. That city is 10 miles from me. Remember I called the day before and gave specific directions to my home. If a driver is lost why call from a bogus number. It should be a two way communication from driver to customer. Just a thought. The third rep informed us we have to wait for the next available delivery on Wednesday. That was unacceptable and poor customer service. Your company drop the ball and the customer pays for it? Neither of the first three reps didn't even attempt to satisfy to situation.
My wife called Murrieta Store and talked a Store Manager name Billy. He actually listened to the situation unlike the three reps. He ensured me our items will be delivered Monday. He was going to email and/or text me with delivery time either Saturday evening or Sunday. Its currently 1638 Monday and have not heard a peep from him. No follow-up. Please understand I work Mon-Sat. I took Saturday off from work with no delivery. I took Monday off from work with no delivery or follow up from Billy. Now I have a take off Wednesday because people refuse to do their job with efficiency.
In another lifetime I was a Store Manager for Circuit City. I understand the customer service and delivery business. I'm just disappointed that a customer can spend so much money and get treated with little respect. I guess its the way things are done these days. So as my food spoil (trying to salvage from a ice chest) and dirty clothes pile up I will miss another day of pay and just hope you guys decide to show up Wednesday.

I thought I was the only one with a problem with HD delivery service. They are the worst of the worst! Calling HD to complaint is just a waste of time. I have had too many bad experiences with these people, I would not know where to start. These guys walk in your house and look for reasons not to work. It’s just sad that a paying customer has to go through this. I just had another bad experience yesterday with the delivery of a dishwasher, that I did not receive. Now, that’s another 1000.00 dollars HD is out of. How can this delivery company stay in business? I have tried Lowe’s, who was good at first, but I started having problems with the deliveries. Guess what? They use the same delivery company! I am up in age, but looking at the people behind me, they are going to have a bigger problem because they are these people that is making these deliveries. Poor customer service. No one listens, no one cares, and tries to keep your money. These kids don’t want to work and always looking for an easy way out. The managers in these stores aren’t trained to listen, (like back in my days of working). We listened, we were glad to have a job, and always went up and beyond to give good service. I know everyone is entitled to a bad day, but this service is beyond bad. Good luck to the younger generation!
A month ago, we ordered a kitchen sink and requested that it be delivered to the Home Depot in Lincoln, CA store so that we could pick up after examining it to make sure no scratches or dents were present. Delivery date came and went. We needed this sink for a remodel of our kitchen. The contractors called two weeks after the expected delivery date, they wanted to start the job. We contacted Home Depot and were told that the sink was lost in transit. Another order was placed. I requested a tracking number and Home Depot said that the sink was placed on a truck without tracking information and that it should be received 7 -10 days after our second order. I called today and still no sink. I am so frustrated; I am ready to cancel my entire order. I refuse to place a third sink order. Would it have been better to have it delivered to our home address? I don't know. My husband is too patient. I'm the type to start a project than move on. The holidays will be here soon, and I don't want them doing a complete kitchen remodel at that time. I am totally disquoted and disappointed with Home Depot.
