Home Depot interior door

back in August of this year I started teaching piano lessons out of my home and was in desperate need of a door to block off the room that I was working in to keep my dogs out and to block out the noise. After shopping around I was very impressed with what I found at my local Home Depot in Erie pa. I decided to order the door on July 30 2017 and paid for the door the next day. The original paper states that the quote on the price they gave me was valid until 8/ 25 / 2017 because that is when the installation would begin and the end date they put on the paperwork was 9/24/2017. The original ref number on my order was W04 and the SKU number was [protected] and the price I paid was 631.28. We got a call two days later to tell me that the contractor who was suppose to come measure to install the door was on vacation so it would not be until the middle of September until he was to be back. We were failed to be told that when we ordered the door but just let it go. The contractor finally came and measured the door and I was told once it came in that we would be called for an installation. Two weeks had gone by and I called the store to see what the status of the door was ( now it being the beginning of oct) I was told my order had been cancelled because the door measurements that were recorded by the Home Depot associate were incorrect and they had to make me a new door. By this time I had already lost three piano clients due to the distractions to my students due to not having my door. Finally the first of November the contractors came to install my door. On top of them breaking the molding on my door way when they were removing it, they ended up not being able to install the door because whoever put the new order in at Home Depot put the wrong side that the door was to swing outward. So they left and said that a third order was to be put in for them to make me a door for the third time. I got a call last week and my new door is in but was told that they are booked for the rest of the year and they can't come to install it until January 3rd. So right now I have no door, I lost income from clients who have left and have a broken molding. I am supposed to be hosting a Christmas party and am embarrassed to have broken molding because I take pride in my house. My husband tried to get the store to move up the installation or to have someone at least come and fix my molding but they said they are booked and there is nothing they can do. I am extremely upset because I don't know why this is all happening, and I am more upset that this has interfered with my business and I have lost income. I feel that I deserve a discount or even a full refund as well as someone coming to install my door and fix the molding they they broke! The only reason I am not cancelling my order at this point is because the door is made and I desperately need it! I would like a response to tell me how this someone is going to make this situation better.

Home Depot veteran discount

On 12/02/17 at 2:00 pm I was in the Yuma Home Depot store and asked about a veteran discount. The lady said that I needed one of these cards that she showed me that was on a card that showed different example of military cards. I told her that I didn't have one of those cards. Then she told me that the law states that all veterans has to have one of these cards. I told her that law does not require that. And I do not have one of those cards. Then she said that I was not a veteran.
I served 2 years active Army, 2 years active reserve, 2 years inactive reserve, and time with Iowa National reserve. I served 6 years and some for this country and to be insulted like this is beyond rude. I doubt if I will go back to Home Depot again.
So much for home depot honoring veterans

It's nice they offer, but it always seems improper to become offended by not getting further discounts. That shouldn't be the reason anyone serves in the military.

Home Depot carpet installation

Our carpet was to be installed Wednesday, November 29th.
The installers came with the carpet for two bedrooms. I had cleared the rooms of all the furniture except the beds to be ready for the installation.
When the carpet was unrolled the installers called us out to inspect the carpet. They had called us to show us the rips and tears in the new carpet. This carpet was damaged very badly by the fork truck as it was moved at some point.
The installer rolled it back up and put it in the truck because of the damage.
They then unrolled the second roll for the other bedroom. It was fine and they went ahead and installed it, doing a very nice job.
I was told I would hear something from Home Depot the next day. It is now Saturday, December 2nd and still no word.
We went to the store to see what is going on. We were told it would be at least until December 7th before the job would be done, maybe.
Our home is almost unusable because of the furniture sitting all over waiting to be put back.
I am wondering if there isn't some sort of reparation for all of the inconvenience we are having to deal with.
We have done business with your company for years and have never had an experience like this before.
This is very frustrating.

Home Depot the warranty service

I have been waiting for three months for them to come replace my Bay Window that started leaking. It was a life time warranty. They have canceled on me 5 times, and sometimes it was the day of. I called Them this Monday to make sure we were on schedule for today, that I was a little concerned since they have cancelled on me so many times. I was assured by Scott that we were good to go. Last night I got a phone call around 7:30 pm telling me they were cancelling again. I have called several people and have yet to get a call returned. I am seriously thinking about getting Jessie, or getting a lawyer for all the days of work I have missed waiting on them. Poor Poor Poor service. I will never buy from Home Depot again.

Home Depot refrigerator delivery

I purchased what I thought was going to be a brand new refrigerator from the Home Depot in Myrtle Beach, SC. When said refrigerator arrived at my house two week later what arrived was someone's used refrigerator that wasn't even a complete refrigerator, it was missing the drawers and the handles and was damaged. When I contacted the store that I purchased they attempted to apologize by saying that it would be another week before I could even have the refrigerator that I had purchased two weeks prior. They did tell me that they could send a loaner fridge out but then immediately said that they didn't have a truck to deliver the loaner to me. When I arrived at the store itself to show them the product that they had attempted to deliver low and behold there are two trucks that looked more than capable or delivering a loaner fridge. I am still waiting to hear back from the store for a delivery of what I'm hoping will actually be the new refrigerator that I originally purchased.

Home Depot veterans discount

In the Gastonia NC store I requested my veterans discount this morning and was denied the discount and was treated very rudely. I provided my veterans ID which is on my NC drivers license. I was helped by Marcia. This has been honored numberous times in the past in the same Home Depot store. I was told by her that Lowes would except. I did purchase the items because it was a match for my previous purchases I'm very disappointed in the service I was provided by Home Depot.

Home Depot staffing

I went into the Home Depot in Auburn, MA on 11/28/17 to purchase window shades for my home. I waited about 10 minutes before some worker came by and told me she was sending someone right over. I waited another 15 minutes and still no one came. In the meantime there was another customer looking in the same area I was in. I went to the customer service desk and there were SEVEN employees laughing and talking and having a grand ole time before someone noticed me standing there. One employee said oh I will help you and she brought me to the shades and blinds area. When we got there a gentleman was helping the woman that came after us. After waiting another 20 minutes I went to the customer service desk and asked to speak to a manager. The manager Jeff arrived and I told him my problem which he didn't seem to care about except for the fact that they don't get any complaints there. Just walking through the store there were more workers talking with one another than helping customers. I must say there was a worker there who was deaf and he approached us with a note asking if he could help us. I respected him more than a lot of the employees working there.

My husband and I were planning on having all our floors done in hardwood. We went to the department to look at the options and once again no one seemed to be around. I will never enter another Home Depot I don't care how far I have to travel to a Lowe's where they treat you like a human being.

Home Depot appliance

I went in the Home Depot store in West Berlin New Jersey on Monday November 20, 2017 I bought a brand new gas stove they told me because of Thanksgiving was on Thursday they could not deliver till Tuesday the next Tuesday I got received a call on Monday November 27, 2017 night telling me they would deliver between 7:30 and 11 a.m. I waited all morning never received a call I finally called the phone number for the delivery company and they couldn't find me by my phone number so they looked up my address at that time the girl says oh that it stoves not available that manufacture never sent it that we won't be able to get it out to you too after December 8th and I've had not had a stove since Monday before Thanksgiving no stove I never received a call stating that they were not going to deliver it I was still waiting for them to deliver it they said oh they're sorry they they they must have forgot to call me this is unacceptable Berlin store and the girl I told him I want to cancel my order and I talked to the assistant manager who is sorry that this happened and offered me too when I come in next time though it by something they'll give me a little bit off I will never ever buy anything from Home Depot again this way of business you're doing is wrong you promise somebody a delivery you have your company call me and tell me they're delivering it the next day between 7:30 and 11 in the morning and they don't have the courtesy to call me to say oh we don't have the stove why would they call me in the first place and tell me they're delivering it I hate to say it but I went to Best Buy got a stove and they delivered it the next day the way you're delivering appliances is a terrible now I talk to different neighbors around me I live in a 55 and older community and they said they've had the same problem with Home Depot with deliveries they promised deliveries and they don't come I'll tell you what I am so upset with your company it's unbelievable my name is Dennis Williams I live at 1:49 elmtowne Boulevard Hammonton New Jersey 08 0 3 7 my phone number is [protected] I just wanted you to know what poor poor poor service that you gave me and I have still I cannot believe it I am still very upset even now over this that that didn't have the courtesy to call me and say mr. Hi Dennis.

You're absolutely right they should have called you Tuesday when they didn't have the range. The truth is, it can happen to any company. The problem can exist when pulling the inventory and finding a problem or damage they didn't expect. Again, they should have been willing to still communicate.

Home Depot installation project #[protected]

I started working with this window replacement project with Home Depot in July of this year through my local HD store in Clarksville TN. It is now the end of November and I still do not have a date scheduled for installation, and I am not receiving returned phone calls or emails regarding this project. In addition, I have been paying on this project for several months, even though the project has not been started.

Home Depot receiving damaged holiday greeting rug

Yes I just received my Christmas holiday rug and it is damaged and can barely read the printed shipping label. The rug looks like it was ran over and is damaged I have taken pictures so I can provide the pictures to prove it is damaged! Also I purchased the Black Friday special prelit 7.5 foot Christmas tree and it has was not delivered with the rug...I would greatly appreciate a response ASAP thank you so much! Home Depot customer service pick up

I spent $200 on a christmas tree. Website said newnan store had item. Then I got a call saying they didn't have item. But got email saying item ready for pick up. I called store at 830am and was told they were giving me the display model. I asked if it would have a box. Was told they would put tree in a rubber maid tote. I told them I would pick tree up between 3 and 4. When I arrived the tree was not ready. It was still on floor. I had to wait for them to disassemble and pack tree. Well. They put 2 out of 3 pieces in a tote and I had to carry 3rd piece unprotected. I paid full price for this tree.

Home Depot credit card - citi retail services

I experienced an issue with my Home Depot Credit Card which is serviced thru CITI Retail Services.

My complaint was forwarded to the Executive Response Unit within the Cardholder Services Division of Citi. A representative from that department named Elizabeth, out of the Gray, Tennessee call center of Citi, contacted me.

After a brief conversation, she became argumentative with me concerning certain issues that I addressed. The conversation ended with still no resolution and still yet, her being argumentative in regards to my complaint.

I would suggest and like to inform consumers that anyone that has a Home Depot account serviced by CITI is in a dead end streak with an attempt to get an issue resolved or addressed.

Home Depot unable to purchase/order honda generator eu 3000

I called to order or purchase this generator that was on sale.
3 are available at my local store in Goleta California.
The online system would not take my order because the item was on back order. I was told it was not available anywhere if it is on backorder, however this was not true. They have 3 at my local store in Goleta. The online person called them but the manager said he would not honor the sale price. I can only by it locally if I pay the regular price. This is extremely frustrating. It always seemed the prices at the local home depot were higher and this seems to confirm that. I have shopped Home depot for years buying supplies for our 2 rental homes and buying in volume when we built our house. I am extremely disappointed that the local store charges a premium for shopping local and that they will not release one for me to order when they have 3 available. Extremely poor customer care!

Home Depot customer service

To whom it may concern... we visited your store on Saturday evening around 9 pm... we had purchased $130 worth of items... as we were leaving I saw a Christmas planter that I preferred over the one I had purchased... so we went back into the store and headed to the return register... before we even got there a young lady was screaming in the front... very rude... so I approached the front customer service register and she proceeds with "yes"... no hello no how may I help you just a extremely rude "yes" so I said hello and there was no response except an ignorant mocking laugh under her breath... she then proceeded to do my return which she wouldn't let me explain exactly what I was returning and she returned the wrong amount of items... at this point my husband and I were both aggravated... so she says "I don't even have to do your return" I then asked for a manager... the manager was a middle aged lady and was extremely nice and helpful, however we will not be returning to your store... which is sad because we just purchased a house 3 months ago and have many projects we can't wait to start... I have never been treated so rudely and stated to the young lady she is in the wrong profession... customer service is not for her... it was at your Fruitville like location on Saturday night at around 9:30... I did not get the girls name but she was working customer service (scary) and had tattoos on her neck... I'm sure the manager will remember us... I never write emails like this but I feel as someone who works in customer service that your company needs to know and she should be reprimanded...

Even though this may be the truth, it is not a polite thing to say. She may usually be quite good at customer service and had been having a very off day. Since you spoke to a manager, it is likely the employee will be reprimanded in private.

Home Depot warranty not honored for husky tool box

After being directed by Customer Care to email a copy of the receipt by replying to the email sent to me, I emailed 2 more times and then had to contact the Resolution Expediter Customer Care Proprietary Brands to get acknowledged. My emails and copy of receipt were again forwarded to the appropriate department (Customer Service Manager). We (my fiance and I) were requesting replacement drawer slides for Model # H347TR Lock #A12 of Husky 34IN 6 drawer and 7 drawer Black Chest/Cabinet.

We originally requested 4 drawer slides but when our email was forwarded, the Customer Care agent mistakenly requested 3 drawer slides (but our attached email stated 4).
When we received only 3 slides (which were metal in place of the plastic ones originally in the tool cabinet), we called to make the correction and ask for the 4th, my fiance explained that if we replace only 3 of 4 drawer slides, they we not be even because one will be plastic. He has mounted this tool chest and cabinet in an enclosed trailer that he uses for all of his mechanic tools. (We have several powered sports "toys" that we travel with and he does his own work on them) He was then told that because he had it mounted in a trailer he had voided the warranty and would not be receiving any more drawer slides. He also wanted to check on the cost to replace all the slides to be sure they were all metal. Now we are stuck.

Often times when you make an alteration to a product (like the mounting your husband did), it voids any warranty on the product. Were they willing to give you pricing information on the slides at least?

Home Depot black friday military discount

As a Company that claims that they stand behind our military...Home Depot should be ashamed for stopping the 10 percent discount for our Veterans during the Black Friday sales! Lowe's was more than happy to take my $5, 000.00 that I spent on home improvements...and they applied my Veterans discount with a smile ..along with rebates! When we asked for an escalation, the assistant store manager refused to help..stating that the system wouldn't allow it. When we ask to speak to the store manger, he was not available. Lowe's also has parking spots for wounded warriors! Bad policies, and bad management leads to loss of customers!

Home Depot delivery service

My husband and I came in to Home Depot on 11/2/17 and placed a special order for a sliding glass door with Eric at the Napa Ca store. We arraigned with Eric to have the door delivered today, 11/25/17. This morning I tried to "track" our truck but the website said there was some technical difficulties, so I called the store and spoke with Karen. She told me we were not scheduled for delivery, I explained that that must be a mistake, we had spent a lot of time with Eric placing a special order and selecting a delivery date. She told me not to worry, the delivery truck hadn't arrived to Home Depot yet so there would be no problem getting our door onto the truck and out to us today. While I was in the phone she said it was all taken care of and would be delivered. I asked her for a time frame, she said she couldn't give me one, but when the truck arrived to load up the doors someone would call me. We had family come in from out of town to help us demo the old door and install the new one. At 1423 I received a call that our door would NOT be delivered today. I was told that "they didn't get it on the truck in time." Now I'm sitting here with a huge hole in my kitchen, it's freezing cold and suppose to rain. I've had family come from out of town to help me, only to have to have them come back another day to install the door. This negligence on your part has wasted everyone's day. I am beyond upset. I came to your company and spent $1, 000 of my hard earned money only to be treated poorly. Now supposedly the door will be delivered on Thursday between 6a and 8p, this time frame too is terrible customer service. I feel you should give me a huge discount for this terrrible treatment. I could have spent my money with any store and I chose you. If something isn't done to make this right I won't choose you again. I'm sure my PG&E bill will now be through the roof and I pray it doesn't rain. If you'd like to speak with me my number is [protected]

Home Depot veterans discount not accepted

My husband is a veteran. We have always gone to the Home Depot for our home needs and displayed my husband's veterans card for 10% off. Yesterday we went to home depot (black friday) and purchased $443 of things. We showed my husband's veterans ID but the computer wouldnt allow a 10% discount. We thought it was because we had purchased so many discounted items.
I called customer service and they said they only give everyday discount to retired military and disabled veterans and all other veterans get the discount in holidays. I was livid. Home Depot is HORRIBLE. Men and woman sacrifice their lives for our freedom and home depot should honor ALL veterans. I was so upset a I couldn't get to the main reason for my call. We will no longer shop at the Home Depot. Veterans should be honored everyday no matter how long you serve. DISGUSTING COMPANY!

Do you have any idea what kind of pay we make versus our peers in the civilian sector? The fact that our spouses can't keep jobs or garner seniority because we always move? Or the fact that we retire and are told we don't have the civilian experience they're looking for so we have to start off at entry level positions at 45 years of age or older? We know this going in, but we willfully serve so we can make sure that condescending folks like yourself can enjoy the comforts of freedom and your ability to make the world a safer place via your keyboard.

Home Depot employee disrespect

I was in your Port Charlotte store today for some while. It was shortly after 2:00 pm, when I went in through the garden dept as I always do. Both checkouts were open; the one closest to me was manned by a blonde woman, wearing glasses, and probably in her forties. She was "doing something" (not checking anyone out), looked up and said "What's your problem?" I said I had none, but did want to ask a question regarding a good sized shrub - one of eight or so - I had purchased several weeks before. She acted as if she were doing me a major favor to answer the question. I went ahead and picked out four more expensive shrubs - and I finally put them back and left, as I wasn't about to get involved with her more. As it turns out she wasn't there, but by then it was too late. There's a Lowes less than five minutes farther from my home than your store, but have just gravitated to your store as it was closer. No so sure though now! I should also add this is the FIRST time I have had one of your employees act this way in the eight years we have lived in FL.

Home Depot unethical behaviour

Home Depot, Store #224, Boynton Beach, FL

Today, 11/25/17, I went to HD specifically to buy a Maytag Washer ($549), Maytag overhead microwave ($269) and Rheem 50 gal Hot Water Heater ($419). I had already picked my items and met with a man named Ren at the Hot Water Heater isle. I wanted to speak about having all items delivered at once so I didn't have to pay $15 per delivery.

He, my Mom and I walked over to James in Appliances. I asked that my items also be installed, basic installation for Free since the hook ups are already there (these are replacement appliances) and since I've bought all of my appliances when I bought my home in 2009 from HD, same Store (Maytag Refrig, stove and microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer and GE hot water heater). (in addition to all of my ceiling fans (4), light fixtures, tubs (2), toilets (2) vanities (2), outdoor lighting, closet louver doors).

Sorry for this lengthy email/complaint. Ren stated that it would cost us $1, 000 for the hot water heater installation; in addition to the price of the heater. I wasn't understanding what he was saying. At first I thought he meant approximately $1, 000 in total. I had to ask him 4 times to explain what he was saying. I had to guess and kept asking him. I thought he meant $419 for the heater and $500+ for the installation. He then confirmed he was saying $419, plus $1, 000. At that point I let him know that was unethical and misleading since I'm a Commercial Senior Property Manager and know prices for plumbers, electricians, etc. My Mom and I left the store without purchasing any of the appliances. I also spoke with a Manger, Ms. Solene, who was very nice. However, I felt it necessary to submit this Complaint as well.

Home Depot it's by no means trying to pull a fast one. The costs of water heater replacements have become extremely high. The question becomes doing it as 'code.' With permits, extensions, overflow tanks and earthquake straps, the price can become considerably more than one would think. I'm sure what they're quoting is the price in the 'worst case scenario.'
