I'm A Deli Associate That Is Under a Lot or pressure there an associate that had sliced his finger and has came back to work but isn't cutting deli meat as I am while there's a lot of customer's waiting to be helped I'm working more then I'm supposed to be and I'm only part time but working over with little to no associates is really stressful we need more help

Your fish products are delicious. Love the potato crusted cod and the stuffed tilapia.
My complaint - I cannot read the cooking instructions. The type size is way too small on the labeling. I am 65, so to double check, I asked my 3 kids in their 30s to read, and they had trouble as well.
Somehow I have muddled through, but it would be helpful if the instructions were large enough to be legible.

The express check out light was on and no one was there. Then an employee came over and sternly said to my husband that she was closed. She was very rude and took her money tray out and walked away. My husband had a rough work day and said nothing but I walked up to the service desk and looked st her name tag and walked away. She didn't have to talk to him like that and she also left her light on. My husband went in the other line and an employee named Mary looked unhappy and not friendly and I told her she may want to turn the light off and told her what Leslie said and she apologized but she wasn't super friendly as she was probably Leslie's friend. My husband uses the pharmacy at this store and spent $763 dollars as the medication is not covered by insurance. He spends a lot of money at the Jewel as his medications are over $600 a month. . I told him besides the Pharmacy that we should just go to Aldi and Meyer now on because the the check out ladieshave not been so kind and he said to me it's been that way for a few years now. I have to say the college kids are always pleasant for the most part. Customer service has really gone downhill and this is why I do most of my shopping on Amazon so I can sit in my chair and not deal with unhappy employees and parking and lines at Jewel that only have two open lanes. I am not sure how Jewel stays in business. I see Jewel ending up like Dominick's and Piggly Wiggly soon. Back in the 90's was the best years. Happy employers and lots of employees. Amazon is looking good these days for almost everything and Aldi for the rest.
Jewel in glenview
I intentionally started going to this jewel because it was quiet and I wasn't rushed. I went from Highland Park to Glenview every week for about 5 weeks.
About the 3rd week upon coming home we realized that several things we bought were expired. We held on to them and the week after went back and showed the manager. No sorry no explanation nothing. He just blew it off.
On August 5th, we went shopping. I was appalled at how messy and nothing was stocked. It was so unacceptable. It was a Sunday morning I would have thought it would be stocked. My daughter and I literally had to look at each item we bought to ensure it wasn't expired. We were down the bread isle and on the floor was a bag with rolls in it completely molded. There was not one person around to show them. So my question is, if this was that molded, you mean to tell me no one saw it for most likely days? Then went by the eggs, to find that there were open cartons and hardly stocked. Terrible. We went to get cream that too was expired. Went to check out empty Starbucks cup by register.
I have since had surgery the reason this took so long. This store was beyond filthy, and couldn't find one person to help with anything.
You can rest assured I will never walk in there again, and the health department will see the pictures taken.
Shame on jewel for these issues.

Why would you take something that was working and replace it with something that is horrible? You used to have 4 express checkouts, with one line, and the next person in line would move to the first available cashier. Now, you've replaced this with self-checkouts, and only have ONE express lane, which is invariably occupied by old people who have no concept of what 15 items are. I tried your self-checkout today, even though I opposed them on the basis that they are a job-killer. I hate standing in line for 10 - 15 minutes just to check out even more (I've called customer service to put more cashiers on and also abandoned my cart if it takes too long. Let's just say, your new self-checkout is abysmal and resulted in a LOT of swearing! I've been a Jewel customer all my adult life, and I'm seriously thinking of NEVER coming back!

I have taken many of the surveys from the receipt, Kathy calls and apologizes for the issues, but nothing changes. The people in the deli are poorly trained, slow, spend too much time "visiting" with co-workers. Salads need to be stirred once in a while, they look old and dried out. Dairy needs to be checked VERY carefully for dates. Many times I have picked up a product and it's expired.
Truly wish I could have my Dominick's back.

I have a large family. One of the things that we all looked forward to was the 1/2 off salad bar price on Saturdays. Imagine my surprise when I checked out yesterday (8.3.19) and didn't receive my 1/2 off. The check out person said, "Yep, no more 1/2 off salad bar on Saturdays."...seriously ? (There was no signage saying otherwise, either.) . We spend on average $900/month for groceries at Jewel. I can only imagine that it was hugely successful and Jewel thought they were losing money. BRING IT BACK ! I very rarely go to the grocery store on Saturday and that was what brought me in and because I am writing this, it could be something that will stop me from purchasing at such frequency.

The liquor manager at 34th & King Drive admitted to smoking marijuana which is against company policy.
