Dec 2022 I was going along dual carriageway I had called the garage again to say engine oil wont go off and they said it was okay approx 2 hrs later along the dual carriageway a bang smoke pouring out car stopped people came across and told me to get out of the car I was cold shaking frightened and called the roadside recovery he told me not to touch anything 2 hrs later they towed the car to the Brindly Kia garage in great bridge that was 2 weeks before Xmas I got a car sorted through enterprise and no, more communication from the garage I left it till after Xmas and went over they are not looking at the car until the 19th Jan and then will make a report 7-year warranty all these problems they don't know what is wrong only they think the engine is no good or it can be repaired
I would like your views as I am taking this further I got in touch with the ombudsman but we need the report on the car before we go any further
They said new car or new engine or repair they are not sure so many problems it would be cheaper to change the car with so many issues and I have been asked to call them on the 20th in case they don't call me back customer service and bad all round for Kia

Repair service
Yesterday, I Clark Staton, contacted you regarding my vehicle that has been at Southern Kia Greenbriar in Va. Beach Va 4 months. The service contact is Josh Standard and he promised me my car would be ready yesterday. He "stated" that it started and only needed the key fob programmed. The issue I have with that statement is... how did he start the car without the key being programmed? When I didn't hear from him yesterday, I contacted you and our local investigative news channel. I contacted Josh today to informed him that I had contacted you and the news channel. Of course, I received a call from him today, rare. During that call he "stated" the battery needed replacement. The issue I have with that "statement" is... how did he get the vehicle started yesterday with a dead battery? The word "stated" is in quotes because I'm not going to say he lied. However, we made it known to him that he seems to be "shady" and we are not happy. I will be contacting you every day to let you know if he has or has not contacted me.
Desired outcome: I want my vehicle back this week, fully repaired.
2011 kia optima sx
As you know, there was a manufacturing issue with the 2011 2.0 engines where there were materials left in the engine and the oil passages were not sufficiently bored out to ensure appropriate flow. I brought my car in to have it checked and supposedly I had no bearing issues, however; now I have an issue with my hydraulic timing chain tensioner not keeping appropriate tension on the chain at startup, causing a significant rattle and potential damage to the motor. I called two of my local kia dealers (Ft. Bend Kia and Archer Kia) both in the Houston area and both just told me there was nothing they would do other than me paying for the repairs completely. I left my car with Ft. Bend Kia and they couldn't even diagnose it correctly, they never identified the issue. I took it to an independent mechanic to diagnose the problem. I am a loyal Kia/Hyundai customer, this Kia is my 5th Hyundai/Kia in the family and I have added two more since then (I have quite a few children).
Desired outcome: I am looking for some satisfaction regarding a repair. I believe this issue is tied to the manufacturing problems, but I'm even willing to pay for a portion of the repair, but the local dealers have been terrible to work with.

I financed a 2020 telluride from Ourisman Kia in Fairfax Va. 1-5-23. I previously spoke with sales about my price range. Instead of helping me stay in that range I was sent to finance who pressured me into signing papers the same day holding me there well after closing while my kids were waiting. I want to return the car finance giving me the run around about papers from the bank even though I was told I could think it over prior.
Desired outcome: I want to find a vehicle within my price range $21k from a dealer other than this Fairfax one.
Purchase price of kia seltos
I wanted to let you know that the Evergreen Kia dealership has a con man working at the helm (Maurice or Mo). I was given a price ($24,000) and I indicated that I was going to put down $8,000. They had a marketing price of 7,000 and when I indicated that another dealership was only going to charge me $2900, which lowered the price. However, when it came to financing the car, they made my monthly cost $400 because they extended the payment out. I financed $27,000 as if I didn't put anything down. I got suckered. They never discussed that and when I reviewed the paperwork carefully, I felt like I got screwed. I thought Kia was a reputable organization with value added leaders, but this guy is a slick dealer, and he treated the salesman like crap. I think I went to the wrong dealership, and I am going to let folks know not to buy a Kia and not to go to Evergreen Kia. Liars, deceptive and people who take advantage of people. This could be why they sell so many cars. DECEPTION is their method.

Dealership will not give me my refund checks for cancelled warranties

My name is Taira Davis, I bought a 2022 Telluride March 2022. I purchased 3 warranties totaling $5,558. My car was deemed a total loss on Sept 1, 2022. Easy care cancelled my 3 warranties and prorated my refund and refunded it to Kia Dearborn as a statement credit for $4989.92. They will not return my calls Easy car care says that I should be able to pick up my refund directly from the dealership because they gave them a statement credit for my refunds well over a month ago. The dealership keeps giving me the run arounds telling me to call Kia Finance. Kia Finance is telling me the same thing that easy car care is telling me. I have called every single day for the past 3 weeks. I have left several message for the general manager Matthew Shaba. I do not want to speak to Emily who does the warranties because she has been rude and dismissive. I just want my refunds so I can pay the remaining $1800 for my totaled car. I had gap insurance but they denied my claim because of the refunds that are owed to me should cover my remaining balance so they are not going to. This car is still on my credit because Kia won't give me my money. Please help.

In May 2020, the windshield fractured a crack directly in my sight line. I went to Kia to learn that it would take 5 months to receive the new windshield, and it cost me 18,500 MXN because the warranty does not cover the windshield.
On 28 December 2020, Kia installed my new windshield. My teenage son and I had to drive for 7 months with the dangers of a broken windshield.
On 28 April 2022, I was in a car accident that shattered the rear window and back end. I went through all the proper steps according to local laws. My insurance company ordered the glass from KIA on May 4th and was told it would be 4 months before I would receive a new glass. On 21 July 2022, Kia said the glass was obsolete. My insurance company: “The dealership is struggling with their parts supply.”
On 8 August 2022, the air conditioner stopped working. As usual, I had to wait two weeks for an appointment for KIA to run a diagnostic test. KIA said I needed to replace the evaporator. Then they told me that my warranty was canceled because I did not keep up with the scheduled maintenance, which is not true. The car tells me when it needs service. When the alert said service now, I called KIA immediately to schedule the appointment. Unfortunately, it took weeks to get an appointment at Kia Norte, and I went over the KM at that time. In the end, Kia refused my warranty, costing me 15,847 MXN for the repair. I also learned it would be 7 more days before the evaporator would arrive.
On 18 August 2022, my insurance company gave me a proposal from another glass manufacturer for the back window. But they said I would have to pay 50% more because the glass is more expensive than from KIAs manufacturer.
On 12 September 2022, I purchased the glass from an outside manufacturer. Finally, I had a new back window after driving for 4.5 months with black plastic covering my sightline because Kia did not have another alternative. They were not concerned with the safety of the occupants.
On 23 September 2022, with 60,000 km, the car overheated. Red blinking lights and alerts made me drive it straight to KIA. They told me to leave my car there for the weekend for another diagnostic test because I did not have an appointment. After they did the test, they explained that the hoses had blown and would need to be replaced. And they wanted another 3,364 MXN for the parts and $7000 for the repairs.
On 28 September 2022, I ordered the hoses and was told it would take 3 weeks to arrive.
On 24 October 2022, The parts arrived at KIA.
On 01 December 2022, I brought the car to the competitor KIA Peninsular at Calle 44-H, No. 376, Col. Paseos de Chenku, Mérida, Yucatán, C.P. 97219 for regular service and a new problem with the braking system. Update: Kia Penisular did not reinstate my warranty validly. They confirmed that the car was working perfectly and had no problems with the braking system. They confirmed they reset the computer, and the car is as good as new.
On 24 December 2022, my teenage son was driving, and the brakes did not work. He skid off the road to avoid a crash. There is a serious problem with the braking system. It is going to kill someone. I need this resolved immediately. I can not let my young drivers drive this car.
On 02 January 2023, I returned the car to KIA Peninsular at Calle 44-H, No. 376, Col. Paseos de Chenku, Mérida, Yucatán, C.P. 97219. To have the brake problem solved. I ordered the following pieces to fix the brakes. #58310-G2A70 #59795G5010 #59796G5010 with another expense of $11,359. MXN Pesos.
Also, The silver paint on the interior around the a/c vents and radio system is flaking off.
And I just realized this morning that both the backup lights are out. The car was just in for service
I am extremely frustrated with the whole situation. The service provided by your franchise license at KIA Norte is the worst customer service I have experienced, and it’s obvious I got scammed by this representative of your company, KIA.
The second part I can not understand is how this brand-new car has more mechanical problems than a 10-year-old car. I only purchase new cars because I do not have time to deal with repairing my car. I have stayed up to date on the maintenance of the car. I have only taken the car to KIA service centers for maintenance.

Infotainment system 2019 Kia K900
I have a 2019 Certified Kia K900. Vehicle infotainment screen blinks constantly, I have taken my vehicle to 2 different Kia dealerships in Tampa Florida. My cars has been in service for this issue 15 days and counting over the last year starting back in Dec 2021. This was 3 weeks after purchase. I have more than 15 videos showing the issue at hand. I was initally told nothing could be done until it was seen by a tech even though I had videos and other workers at the dealership witness the issue. I had to go to another dealership to get some resolve. The dealership replaced the screen i was told. The issue still remained. Reported the vehicle back to the dealership. Was told they have to witness the issue again before action can be taken. I was told the battery was the issue and it needed to be replaced. I paid 233.00 to get it done and no change in the problem. I am going on my 8th day without my vehicle this time and I am not getting any assistance with a loaner/rental. Under the CPO program for Kia. It is noted that I have loaner/rental assistance as part of owning a KIA CPO vehicle. I have not even received a call or text in response to my inquiry on this issue of a loaner. I own Kia's top of the line car 65K and not being treated line a top of the line customer. The infotainment system has been ordered but cannot be sync to the car another system has to be ordered. Again this is a year long issue that I am not getting total resolve on. The warranty for the system expires in Feb of 2023. I am not comfortable with the issue being resolved before that time. I would hate to think Kia would push this issue past that time only to tell me it is my responsibility from that point on when I have been patient on this matter for well over a year. This would constitute poor customer service from my view. What can be done in this matter? The issue with the screen constantly blinking is a safety issue while driving, embarrassing for that class of car. Not to mention where is the Kia quality/Service. Please help resolve this issue before Feb of 2023.

Allstate extended warranty cancellation refund not received
Sold my Kia, on 10/8/2022, that was purchased in 2019 from Central Kia of Plano @ 3401 N Central Expressway, Plano, Tx, 75023. Their phone number is [protected]. I cancelled the Allstate Extended Warranty on the same day, 10/8/22. Central Kia of Plano received the paperwork from Allstate per the initial person that I spoke to at Central Kia. After several weeks to not hearing back from anyone at Central Kia I called again. That initial person that I spoke to at Central Kia no longer worked there. The person that I did speak wind up speaking to couldnt locate my paperwork and I had to resend it. I have called and emailed Central Kia. I keep on getting their excuses. I called Allstate who has send Central Kia letters as well about the status of my refund. It appears that Central Kia does not respond to Allstate either. No refund provided from Central Kia as of today, 1/4/23. Waiting for close to 3 months for refund is unacceptable. BTY refund amount is approximately $1,400.00 that comes from Central Kia and not from Allstate.

Kia Niro with Ferguson Kia
I purchased a new Kia Niro in 2017 from Ferguson Kia in Broken Arrow, Ok. At 106,000 miles the main battery quick working. I took the car to my dealer and was told the warranty was expired and it would cost approximately $3,500 to replace. I understood and agreed. When I received the car back in a few days, I drove it about 2 weeks and the battery died again. It was replaced at no charge. I drove it a few hours and this happened a third time. Of course I returned it to the dealership again, it had a forth battery put into it which lasted only minutes when I drove away from the dealership. It was returned and I explained I was scared of the car and felt it was very dangerous and I felt the automobile should be replaced.
I was told their was something majorly wrong and they would be talking to the Kia Cooperation. This all started in December of 2020. In late December 2022 I receive a call from a low level staff member, she stated to me that dealership would offer me $6500 for the car. Cars like it are priced at $18,000 on the market in this area.
I feel the car should be replaced by Kia. It is a dangerous car that could catch fire at any moment. If I'm to keep it, I should receive a warranty on the full car and all parts for at 50,000 miles. The tires have sat for 2 years and should be replaced also.
Ferguson was very good to me by giving me a loner car during the time my car was unavailable, but I feel the car I bought has major problems and should be returned to Kia Motors for study.
Again, if I have to keep the car, the least I will accept is a full warranty for 50.000 additional miles and new tires. Also, if it breaks down again from the same problem, during the 50,000 miles Kia agrees to totally refund the total amount I paid for the car.
2018 Kia Sorento
The paint is peeling off the hood and hatch of my 2018 Snow White Pearl Kia Sorento and has gotten much worse since the attached photo was taken. Research has revealed that this is a common problem with this paint color beyond 2014 models. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that this problem was only identified for [protected] models and the paint was only covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles. I have spent a small fortune purchasing "car soap" and take very good care of my car. I paid, and am still paying, a lot of money for this car. I have a 10 year old Toyota Tundra that has better looking paint and it is very embarrassing to drive a fairly new car with such crappy paint.
Also, this paint color is three stage and is very expensive to reapply properly.
Desired outcome: For Kia to pay for, or reimburse me for, the expense of repainting the hood and hatch.

Stolen license plate
I purchased a new kia in May of 2020 and traded in my old car. Yesterday in the mail I received a traffic violation on my license plate from my trade in. After taking care of the violation, I called Holly Kia in Selbyville DE and spoke with Pete White, Pete's reaction was HMMM. I was transferred to title person who had gone home and there was no voicemail on the line.
The following day I went to the dealership, spoke with Pete and Ashley whose reactions were that it was no big deal, just go to motor vehicle with the bill of sale. Why should I do this since it was not my responsibility to make sure that a tag was removed from a car or turned into the DMV.
I am very upset about this situation and the lack of concern from these managers. I was told it was no big deal. Really what if someone is killed with a tag that is still reported to be mine.
Ashley is supposed to be faxing the sales papers to the DMV however did not offer to send me proof that this had been done so I will be checking on this.
It also would have been nice if the offered me something other than it's not a big deal.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and an apology, maybe even a free oil change.
Oil Consumption Whyyyy!!!
I'm writing regarding my 2017. The Kia dealer here stated that my KIA is burning oil. Base upon what I'm hearing from every dealer this is normal for this car. The cost to report is over 3k. If we know that there is a known problem why do we has the consumer have to pay to get it fixed when you guys are aware that there is a know problem with the GD1 engines. Unfair! I love my car but the fact that this is happening makes me not want to purchase a third KIA.

Service Dept Kia Of Raleigh Brought my 2021 KIA Seltos for its 12000 mile service to this dealer who also did my 7500 mile service. When we purchased this car at Fayetteville KIA in NC we also purchase extended service warrantee so there would be no extra charges. We were told everything is covered in full to well over 100000 miles right dow to the tires. This is why we added the extra amount to our payments. When I brought it in for service this time I had a service rep named John Hernandez who was very "curt" and quick to double talk. When they finished the service I received a bill for a total of$435.48 of which I had to pay $306.11. He tells me well we did a 15000 mile service which includes Wheel alignment $149.95. A/C refresh system for $79.99. A/C Clean and Ref kit at $118.49 In addition to the basic tire rotation and oil and filter change. That was Nov 18th. I really feel that I was ripped off and taken advantage of and should not have been charged anything with the service contract we have! Then on top of that I get a text from them last week that my car is due for service! It hasn't even been a month! My Vin # is KNDETCA25M7202103 if needed. Heated seats
We bought a new 2013 Kia Sorento with the comfort package. It's was a great car for almost 10 years. We were in an accident and it was totalled. We are looking at another Kia Sorento, but find they don't have the comfort package in the LX model anymore. I don't want a sunroof, as in the S model, so I can get heated seats. I think you're losing a lot of customers, in the north, due to this option being eliminated. I know you're losing us and we will be going with the Hyundai or Honda, but who cares these days, right ?

i purchased my 2016 optima new in January of 2016 at Jenkins KIA in Ocala,Fl. the vin number is JTBE30K163057361 -5XXGT4L16GG0011708 i now have 71,000 miles on it garage kept and all 4 of my door windows don't work .i believe you should stand behind this problem .and have my kia dealership repair the problem. Kia Optima Door Windows Not Working!
I have a 2016 KIA Optima. And all of my windows are not working.
I've heard of other KIA Optima owners having the same issue with their windows
not operating. for sure it's a Regulator problem. What I don't understand is why
hasn't KIA resolve the problem. I called the Kia service center in Venice Florida
to find out if there was a recall on the window regulators. And their response was NO!
How frustrating it is not being able to open any of my windows, always listening to
the whistling of the wind all around the car. and this all happened in a period of one
month! Not only that, but there's also a 3-4 month waiting period for these parts.
My hope is that Kia would take notice and action to this problem.

Defective Engine
I own a 2014 Kia Sorento. It has 112,000 miles. Last week, I noticed coolant leaking from the engine. Two different mechanics have verified that the problem is a bad header gasket between the upper and lower engine blocks. This is a very expensive repair. I have an estimate for $3500.00. This should not happen to a car that is only eight seven years old with this low mileage. Kia should fix this problem. My case # is [protected] with Kia.

Hi,
i recently bough kia sportage from kia of hamilton, ontario. However, the dashboard system had a crack and i did informed them on the 3rd day of delivery.
Sales and service informed, they have order the parts and it will be installed in two weeks. Its has been more than a month, no one every called.
