harrassment and debt collection practices
Kia Motor Finance Company harrasses debtors. I was only 6 days past due on an amount under $200.00; they have called me every two hours, continually at work, when I have told them repeatedly not to call me during work hours. They call holidays, Sunday... every 2 hours. Even when making payment arrangements, I am still harrassed every two hours.

We want to make my knowledge of his discomfort by the time my truck repair Kia Carnival plate NAK-93S, which had committed errors of planning and procurement of spare parts for quality control of repair. Then tell a few events in chronological order:
1. In early February the truck entrance to his workshop referred to after sales service, for a failure of the straps of synchronization between the two trees of a cam of the compression cap.
2. The engine was inspected for damage assessment until they reach 2 months of spare parts required and deemed necessary to correct the damage that was estimated by the engine. Including valves, belts of time empacaduras game and spark plugs, but that is the case after discovering the damage, which resulted in 2-cylinder valves were broken causing damage to pistons, cylinder liners and connecting rods.
3. In April ordered the additional parts required for the damage produced, but it is the case that the cylinder liners were not supplied and the manufacturer KIA letter requesting to send the new piston from the home country (Korea) shirts with the clearances for the type of piston.
4. After some time, received the shirts and when the activity is installation of the covers of compression, they find that the new cap does not supply compression valve is installed and then they are ordered.
5. In June, received the valves and caps are sent both compression (New and Old) for grinding a workshop for installation and adjustment for tight seal.
6. Received all the parts the engine was assembled in July, when start-up and test operation, the engine failure in a compression of the cylinders, so its technicians suspected mal settlement in the new valve cover compression, but that is the case when making an inspection of what was happening, I notice that the 4-valve cylinder being made of that contact with the piston corresponding to instruct them to review the clearance between valves and valve guides; Where to find that the valves used for that cylinder did not have clearance by the manufacturer KIA.
7. In July, the new engine is assembled and during the test run within the city tranca the engine due to improper installation screw on the lid straps of time, which causes failure of the length of time the belt .
8. In the first week of August to inspect the repair, I find two errors again, a pulley belt damaged because time had installed a long screw on the front cover that hit the pulley and the deformed. In addition to this, look at the screws of the steering wheel or rack coupling hydraulic torque converter, one of the 6 screws with the crankshaft was installed in various dimensions, hexagonal head, which leads, of course, an imbalance dynamic engine and rear differential weight bearing damage by vibration.
9. The Workshop will ask the assembly KIA Valencia, Venezuela, providing a technique to assemble the engine, which was completed in November.
10. In the same month of November, I called the Workshop Yuyi Motors, CA I reported that the box does not automatically change and that the vehicle will be delivered with cash-flow problems.
11. On April 22, 2009, I handed over the van with these anomalies or defects generated:
a. If Wipers blow fractured by installing the engine
b. Alternator noise, due to replacement of this by a similar damage attributable to causes Yuyi Motors, SA not to protect the assets of its customers.
c. Absence of the handle for operating the hand brake, the truck entered with all its accessories, personnel management Yuyi Motors, SA conciliation meeting reported that it was removed to assess the problem of the electrical box automatically changes, which I do not agree because if you look at the photo No. 3, lateral screws were not removed, but if the handle for other uses .

I felt as a Client and unprotected offended by bad service and poor quality service and attention I received from Yuyi Motors, SA located in the Municipality Lecheria, Anzoategui State, Venezuela. KIA damage these have caused me a great financial expense to keep my car in his workshop, situations causing stress and high pressure blood for me and my family for the upsets received.
I thank this Organization for the care and support they give me to get to the original manufacturer KIA Korea in order to be punished Workshop Yuyi Motors, SA located in Venezuela.

To the attention of KIA International CEO, I am writing to you today to inform you of the misfortune event that happened to me today June 20, 2009. At 0945 hrs I was travelling with my family for my long waited for vacation to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Suddenly the back left side tyer and the metal bar wich connects the tyer to the brakes of my Cerato car disengaged from its place and flew in the air. This caused my car to turn several turns which injured my four years old daughter. I was driving on 70 km/hr and I was just coming out of a U turn. I can not describe the panic and fright that my family faced. My child is crying continuosly and does not want to get into any car out of fear. We are now in the street and I called Kia help desk in sharm el sheikh and in Cairo more than ten times with no response. I seeked the help of two mechanics who informed me that this is a manufacturing error in the car and I will be seeking an Engineering firm to check the car and prepare a report proving that this is a manufacturing e! rror. Finally a representative called Ashraf answered and kept denying that this could have happened and is claiming that I must have had an accident. I have photos of the car and I am now reporting the whole issue to the Egyptian police authorities and will bring a full report of the situation. Also, I will bring a medical report with my daughter's injury. I was in the process of buying the new Cerato 2009 however after this situation, ruining my vacation, my family's fright, my daughter's injury and the cherry on top of the cake was the speed of service and attitude of KIA representative. I am disgusted from all what happened and I need to be compensated for all of this. This is not what I expected from a big company like KIA. When was the last time you put a timing belt on the first engine? It clearly states in you manual that you need to replace it EVERY 60K miles or 5 years, whatever comes first. If you did that, your engine would not have gone down the crapper. And I just want to know, if you think the 5 year warranty on a Kia sucks, whats gonna happen when you buy a GM vehicle and it comes with a 3 year 36k mile warranty? hmmmm
4 wheel drive malfunction
I bought a new Kia Sorento 3.5 petrol (automatic) in 2005 and kept it for 60, 000 km. The automatic transmission often did not want to select. The agents could not solve this problem and I decided to trade it in on a Kia Sorento 2.5 diesel with a manual transmission. Since new this car often did not want to select 4 wheel drive low range . I took the car to the Silverton branch in Pretoria in October 2008 to fix this problem and they changed some electronic valves, but the vehicle was still not fixed. I took the car back in November 2008 and the car is still there because they are not able to fix the problem. (It is now 9 January 2009)
I think this is very bad advertising for Kia and I am now forced to take them on to refund me for the market value of this vehicle.

I would like to complain about the dealership : Gervais Kia in lowell, ma. I had purchased a 2004 Kia Sorento 10 months ago. Since then, there have been numerous problems with it. Over two weeks ago, my car would not start. I had the car towed to the dealership and I still have not gotten it back. Every day that has gone by I had been told a different story. They will not give me a loaner car and they almost did not cover the repairs under warranty. I had to literally call Kia directly and complain about my rights as a consumer to get my car covered under warranty and to have some answers. I found out last night that the service dept. for the dealership has been lying to Kia too. They said my car was going to be ready today and still, I get no calls back explaining to me what is going on.
Please help. I have two kids and no ride to work now. I am extremely upset right now.

I bought my 2005 KIA Spectra5 new in September 2005. My intitial gas mileage was 15 mpg. I was told it would increase and be at or near the sticker mpg after 6000 miles. At 12.000 miles on the odomenter I now get a rousing 19 mpg in town and 22 mpg on the highway.
Needless to say, I am disappointed! When I ask about I am told over and over again that I am driving it worng. I have driven many cars in my 65 years and am so very suprised to learn that I don't know how to drive this 4 cyl. automatic car.
I can't even get a service department to take it in for a look see.
I tell everyone who asks me about my KIA not to buy one. I will continue to do so.

I have a 2002 KIA Sedona with 54, 000 miles on it, bought it new so I am the only owner of this piece of crap. All scheduled maint. has been done by authorized KIA dealers. I took it in for its 60, 000 mile maint. check-up and was told that the timing belt needed to be replaced. After looking in the Warranty book I found that this is considered a part of the 100, 000 mile power train warranty so I approved the work, thinking that it was covered under warranty as stated on page 4 in the booklet under Power train coverage. To my surprise when I went to pick it up after 2 days, I was hit with a $600 timing belt charge with labour. After a long discussion with the service manager with no results, I called KIA Customer service in California. I was told that the timing belt was not covered because it was worn and since it is rubber it gets worn out, however if the new belt broke, they may cover that. I read this dummy who could hardly speak English word for word from the booklet that says the timing belt is included in the 120 month/100, 000 mile warranty. She then asked me if I felt that they should be required to replace the tires too if they were worn out. I told her this was a completely different situation, their service techs said the belt was bad and needed to be replaced, and this is a warranty part and she again said that this belt wearing out is considered normal wear and tear, so it is not covered. I told her every part on the vehicle has wear and tear so what was her point in that statement. She told me that rubber wears so it is not covered and the dealership was well within its rights to charge me for replacement. I asked her what kind of warranty plan do you people have. She then said if the belt had actually broke it may be covered under certain circumstances. I told her that was the dumbest thing I have ever heard to allow a belt that the dealership said was about to break before they might consider it under certain circumstances, I asked her what circumstances, and she said it is on a case per case basis. If I would have said do not replace it and it broke, they would then tell me that we were advised to replace it and since we didn't it was our fault. Talk about a bunch of double talk. Why put this part in the warranty booklet if it is not covered? I told her when my headlight went out on my Explorer, Ford picked up the tab 100% with labour and that went out because of normal wear and tear, but she again went off on how rubber wears and so they could not cover that. I will never buy another KIA ever.

engine blows and warranty is not valid
My timing belt goes out at 65000 mile and blows my engine up. When I called KIA they said that the engine is only warranted up to 60000 miles and will fix it and add the bill to the already existing bill I have. Who knows a car that the engine blows at 65000 miles and isn't mad? And do they know that engine for this car is hard to come by just for the fact that this has happened to the same car over and over? And what happened to 100, 000 mile bumper to bumper warranty? Doesn't the engine fall in between the front and back bumper? Mine did until it blew and we had to take it apart.
Kia gives out false advertising and I wouldn't dare tell anyone to go buy any car from them because they won't be satisfied and everything that goes wrong with their cars are not their fault. They just want the money and I would suggest to buy a car that will hold up and be worth the money that is actually paid.

Same thing happened to me had 4400 as in 4 thousand 400 miles on a rebuilt engine. I was told there was no warranty on the car after I picked it up. My wife broke down on a very cold and damp day (after hours at dealership) I had my car towed t o my mechanic who put it on the computer and was given a fault of Camshaft position sensor and Crankshaft position sensor. He replace each and the engine was not in time so he suggested I bring it to the dealer who rebuilt the engine. they told me that the repair(rebuilt motor was void because my mechanic replaced the sensor. 4400 miles and there is not doubt in my mind the problem was with the repair technicians at the dealership who did not properly repair the engine. As the person stated Kia blames someone else. This after they gave me the run around for over 4 months. And they want to rave about quality. After being told no warranty when I picked up the car with a supposed new engine WHY would i bring it to the dealership to repair. They want $2500 to fix now. I appealed and after being told I would have an answer in 2 working days it took me a week and several phone calls to get the answer...It was the same exact wording from the service manager Not covered because an outsider worked on it. Did not know there was any kind of warranty on the rebuilt until this time 12000 miles (I only had 4400)
What their shop tells you and what is in the owners manual is worlds apart.these kia shops deliberately lie and sell maintenance the owners manual does not call for.my owners manual says 7500 miles for oil changes, so every 3000 is a ripoff.since I use Mobil 1, changing oil at 3000 miles is pure stupid, and just greed on their part.and the owners manual does not list a 30, 000 transmission flush, or a 2 year 24000 mile coolant flush.

I bought my car on 6/10/08. I drove it home and later that night I went to leave and the car wouldn't start, it sounded like it was trying to turn over and wouldn't. Before I left the dealership they said the car went through a carfax and a 181pt inspection and everything was checked out on the car. I went to pick up my parents the next day to take the car back and it died on me twice on the interstate. We noticed that it was leaking oil and it had an oil trail all the way up the driveway. The service guy confirmed that it was oil and they wanted to keep the car to figure out what was wrong. They said that there was something wrong with the thermistat and they replaced a $25 part on it. They called me to come pick it up and when we got there it was sill leaking, but this time it looked like anti-freeze. They came out and looked at it and one of the guys said that he hoped it wasn't the head gasket. I went back on 6/13/08 to ask for my money back on the car and they refused to give it to me. They said nothing was wrong with the car. I believe that they're trying to screw me over because I'm a woman. The car hasn't held up to the 181pt inspection that they said it passed. I'm really concerned that there is something seriously wrong with the engine and I think the car is going to die. I asked them to show me all the paperwork on the car showing what they serviced before putting it on the lot and everything that they replaced. The manager couldn't show me any of the paperwork. When I went back to look at the car I noticed that the bumper was hanging down in front and there was a big scratch on the left end of the car. Both of these blemishes was not on the car when I bought it, so I want to know where they came from. I just want my money back for the car since I don't think I got what I paid for and what they said I was getting.

a Cerato 2017 model 2017 to be delivered on 19/02/2017 the only unpaid
part was the %5 taxes; three months and 10 days later (29/02/2017)
not only I did not have my car but I have been asked to pay another
(420.000.000Rls.) + %5 taxes in order to get my car. Their explanation
to such action was that the exchange rate has gone up since then.
It was unclear to me as of why I should pay the profit on my
investment to them if so I must charge them the interest and the
profit on my money for the past 16 months.
I took my case to the court and won the case as they had the option to
protest they took it so that they can buy some time.
I am a retired employee and this money was the result of 30 years of
my hard work. It is hard for me to assume such huge failure in my
life.
I am asking you to intervene and integrate your representative here so
that we could end this matter here and now. This cannot be the policy
of a respectful company such as kia which I was proud to have a car
from.

I went to purchase a vehicle on 09/03/07 from this car dealer ship, I spoke with a young man I told him what I wanted my payments to be and how much I had for a down payment. I had looked at a specific vehicle but they told me I had "light" credit so they had another vehicle and I could get this vehicle for 8/9 months and switch vehicles. So I agreed to get this vehicle I took the vehicle home, before I took the car home I was told I needed to pay my payments at any chase .I was also was told to lie on the interview the bank gives. And when the bank called the dealer. The dealer called me and said that I had to put more money down after I already had the car. I told the dealer could I get my deposit back cause I did not have any more money.
And the dealer told me I could not get my money back. Then I received a call from the dealer after that to say chase would not be financing me. Now I have a vehicle no bank to pay but the dealership says the car is mine and the title is still in their name and I have no plates for the cr and the owner of the dealership said continue to drive with those plates and if you get stopped we will pay for the tickets and we will try to get you financed from someone else.
So I am stuck with a car that I am not financed for and can't drive!
I have a 2017 KIA Sorento and have had the same part go out twice. I bought the car new and can't believe that the same part goes out every 30, 000 + miles. The ESC Off light displays and I lose engine power/acceleration. Looks to be a common problem and I think KIA should pay for the part. I called your customer service only to be told that I am out of warranty (69, 000) even though the part doesn't even have 32, 000 miles on it. I wanted to speak to the district manager only to be told that he doesn't speak to the public. Last I knew I was your customer, now that something is wrong I am the general public. If this is what KIA is all about, I made a terrible decision of purchasing a KIA in the first place.
I purchased a beand new 2017 Kis Sportage on 1/14/2017. Loman Ford paid off my existing car, Ford Mustang. 30 days after the transaction I received my monthly statement from Ford for the Mustang. Upon contacting them I was notified that Loman never paid the car off. When I contacted Loman Ford they apologized and sent out a check immediately. Several days later I was contacted by Ford, the check had bounced. I made numerous calls to Loman Ford with no return calls until I threatened to show up there and inform customers of what has happened. A check was finally overnighted to Ford. GThe following week I dropped off the title to the Mustang that I received in the mail. The following day (today) I have a malfunction light lit in my car and have been waiting for someone to call me back since all employees are in a meeting..
Purchased a KIA brand factory approved front protector(bra). After 6 months the material is coming apart. I was lead to believe the item had a 1 year warranty. Niether the dealer or KIA will honor their warranty.

I had recently contacted a medical company in Canada to receive yaz which is a birth control. When I found out the price i didnt want to deal with them. After that...they hacked my yahoo address book and are continuously emailing everyone in my contacts...They are sending out an email about viagra. My Fiance along with many others are getting angry about it. I purchased a KIA and anytime I am 1 day late the phone calls start at 8 am and don't stop till 8 pm. This month thou they started harassing not only me but my daughter too before the 10 grace period was even up which they don't legally have the right to do and my daughter reminded them of this and instead of the woman saying "oh I am sorry I see that but do you know when you will be making the payment" no instead the woman got very rude with my daughter. Mind you my 10 day grace period is over as of the 19th and as I write this it is only the 18th and they started these calls on the 10th. They have called every day since anywhere from 5 to 10 calls a day not only to myself but my daughter too. I have seen where they have had many lawsuits against them for harassment and you would think they would learn but no. I know I am not the only one going thru this and I believe an attorney should take advantage of this and file a class action suit for harassment. They must hire nothing but cold hearted people at this company cuz there has not been 1 nice person I have dealt with in the almost 2 yrs that I have had this car. If I would have known this is how we were going to be treated then I would have passed on financing thru them and went elsewhere...for a vehicle all together!
Kia has done the same thing with me, I will never buy another Kia. This is my third Kia, they never harrassed me in the past but they started this year, it just makes me want to wait until the last possible day just to show them who actually controls my life...
