KIA Motors Urgent action request Company Faults with Sorento 2001. Legal case raised

Dear kia headquarters.

I would like to bring to your attention the poor customer service I have received from your head office in pakistan.

I purchase KIA Sorento A/T 3.5L FWD clear white color, chassis #NNAUM53BZMP700342, engine # G6DCMS248985 from quetta city office. invoice # [protected]

For the price of Pakistani Rupees 8,241,999.96 and to date I have kept up the routine maintenance until reached 3834 Kms. mileage

I have started to multiple faults where the front windshield has started to leak and a lot of water has come inside the car.

I can also hear transmission and suspension knocking sounds from the engine bay.

I have made numerous complaints with no satisfactory response from your supplier in pakistan

Please see attached legal case file and a video showing the fault.

I would like you to please help resolve my issue I would like to be refunded or given a brand new Car. The repair job they do in my city in really incompetent.

KIA Motors AWD extended tire warranty

My name is Paul Frys

Purchased a new 2021 Kia Sorrento AWD from Kia of Indian Trail North Carolina Dealer Code 74431

Purchased Extended Warranty Contract# 7582651

Under this warranty I have Tire repair or replacement depending on issue.

Picked up a screw and cannot be patched

Dealer says will replace under warranty (fantastic)

Do some reading about ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES

Called multiple Tire companies Discount Tire for example

All said you cannot replace one tire on an AWD vehicle due to the fact that a new tire is larger than existing tires and can possibly cause damage to drive train or confuse traction control to thinking the vehicle is losing traction. Makes perfect sense. Asked Dealership to confirm and was told by Salena Union County Kia [protected] that the service manager says should be fine and they will replace one tire under warranty. I stated that all info online and from other tire dealers that is def not the case and in fact I should replace all 4 tires. Called Service contract people [protected] and was told no they only will cover one tire. I said no problem then I need in writing that in the event of an issue after the fact it will all be covered under warranty. Was told very rudely that no they will not put anything in writing, So now I have a extended warranty that I paid $2705.00 extra for nothing and I feel extremely taken.

Look up anywhere online about replacing awd vehicle tires and it all says no you have to replace all tires not one.

So now I am utterly pissed off at the dealer for terrible customer service, misleading the customer and a warranty that doesn't apply to my vehicle

A vehicle with 39,000 miles will clearly have some wear on all tires and will clearly be smaller due to said wear. So you cannot just replace one tire.

In fact you cannot just replace 2 tires have to replace all 4. Asked both dealer and warranty to issue me in writing that in the event of issue they will cover all repairs, was told by both dealer and warranty company no they will not do this. Well then your extended warranty is nothing more than the pc of paper its written on and I feel taken by this.

This is clearly not right and I expect resolve because now I cannot even rotate same tires because you cannot put a plugged tire on the front of a vehicle.

This is just plain not right

BTW this was the 3rd Kia I have purchased over the years and will be the last if this trully is the case. I feel ripped off to say the least

Desired outcome: Need all 4 tires replaced or my extended warranty purchase refunded New set of tires is a whole lot cheaper than refund of $2700 dollars

KIA Motors Key Entry on 2011 Kia Sorento

My Kia Sorento was stolen on 11/16/2022 in Centennial, CO. The deputies and the insurance company had informed me that KIA's are the #1 stolen vehicles due to the faulty key entry. It is very easy to break into and also to steal it. Why wasn't I notified of this when I bought the car? I had a bunch of clothing, shoes, boots, handbags that I was going to resale and they stole it. My insurance company told me the insurance does not cover this.

Pretty upset about this!

Don't have a car and do not have the clothes/shoes/boots/handbags or the other items (jumper cables) that were taken as well.

Desired outcome: Anyway KIA can compensate me for the clothing items?

KIA Motors 2015 Kia Forte

My case # is [protected] and the recall # is SC200YD. I am the second owner of a 2015 Kia Forte and it is under recall for engine problems. Both Kia Motors and Fred Anderson Kia of Raleigh are giving me the run around. My car has been at Fred Anderson almost 2 weeks and still no help yet. KIA Motors is aware of many engine problems with this vehicle, but continues to delay fixing my car. I am without transportation and having to call my family and friends for any rides I need.

I NEED FOR KIA MOTORS TO REPLACE THE ENGINE IN MY CAR AND PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR FOR ME WHILE IT'S BEING REPAIRED.

KIA Motors Service department mcgath kia palatine il 60074

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on 8/13/22 (2020 kia soul) during the paperwork signing I was assured that the car was certified and had been inspected and everything on the vehicle was up to date. All lies. One month into driving the car I noticed that my front drivers side tire kept reading low pressure also the service soon notifications kept remainder me to service soon. In which I did. Upon bring the car back by the service milage notifications I was informed that it was due for an oil change and to check fluids, which was fine I also asked that seeing that I had just got the car to please check the front drivers side tire as well. The service guy comes to check in with me and tells me the tire has two nails in it and I would have to purchase a new tire. I ask was it covered he said no, and it would be $200.00. I paid the bill. Month three 11/9/22 i'm driving down the highway and my car shuts completely off with no warning. Once I get the car to finally restart, I immediately drive the car back to mcgrath dealership service department. Once at the service department they inform me that they can't look at my car that day I would have to wait till the following day, and no they had no loaner cars available. I also let dave baggot (service manager) know that my front passenger tire had been reading low to please check it. The following day I receive a phone call say that it was the battery and it needed to be replaced. My assumption is that it is covered under my warranty, which he tells me it's not and that the warranty expired at 36,000 miles. When I purchased the car, it already had 39,000 miles on it. Hummm! He also lets me know that it would be $250 for the battery plus labor. I say reluctantly to just go ahead and replace the battery. During the conversation I also ask him not to forget to look at the tire as well. While on the phone later that day 11/10/22 I hear him speaking to the mechanic to look at the tire and hear him say oohhh really, and the phone goes dead. (I was hung up on) frustrated I don't call back. About 5:30pm that evening I receive a phone call saying that my car is ready for pickup. I go the following day to pick up my car the service technician goes over my bill and informs me that everything is good, and they did patch my tire but that was covered. I leave with my car.

On 11/12/22 that saturday I leave for work get in my car start it and the tire pressure light is on reading for the same tire that they said they fixed. I go immediately and put air in the tire. (at this time the dealership is closed so I can't call) I end up taking my car to a tire shop to check on the tire. After checking the tire, the tech comes back to show me where that air is coming from and shows me the edge of the tire closets to the rim and tells me that the rim has had damage and the place that fixed did not, they just applied glue to seal the leak. He also shows me where the rim had previously been damaged. He said it was not safe and put my spare on and said I would need a new rim.

Where is this dealership code of ethics?

My question is why was I not informed of such a serious issue?

Where is the safety and concern for the consumer?

Was a sold a faulty not inspected vehicle for the sake of sales?

Where does this leave me as the consumer?

Desired outcome: I would like my car fixed correctly or reversed for all the money I have had to spend.

KIA Motors No bass from harmon kardon stereo 2023 kia sportage prestige

2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid Prestige:

The bass is so low you might as well not even have a subwoofer. Its all over the Kia owners forums for those who paid extra for the Prestige model. The base system actually sounds better. Here is just one example of many bad write ups about this. I'm sending you this one vs one that has profanity in it (as quite few do when they find out Kia does not care. I managed to get the phone number for dealer tech support and the message says they have deactivated the line until they can lower the number of back logged cases they have. So instead of beefing up acritical sourcce of info, they have deactivated it.

Fortunately I have a problem with the lane assist that yanks the wheel out of your hands and can cause a serious accident. I've taken my car in once for this and they did not fix it. Fortunately Florida has a very powerful "Lemon Law." So Florida will force Kia to take the car back if the dealer cannot fix the problem after 3 documented tries. O I'm waiting for 3 weeks to hear back from you about this. If no response, I will proceed with the "LemoneLaw" to force you to buy my car back. This was my first Kia and now it will be my last!

KIA Motors Back bumper

My bumper was damaged by an employee whenI dropped my car off for service over a year ago. I was told by the service manager that they would order me a bumper and would let me know when it comes in.

I call every few months and I am told it is on back order. I was told at another time that they gave my bumper away because they hadn't heard from me in a month. They order a new one months ago and it still isn't in.

Desired outcome: I want the new bumper on my car.

KIA Motors Dealership maintenance

In July 2022 a Kia we purchased from Duncan Ford and Kia in Rocky Mount, Virginia was broken into and damaged by the perpetrator so we reached out to the dealership to get the damages assessed and repaired. We dropped the car off and didn't hear anything from the dealership for over 3 weeks while attempting to make contact many times over the phone due to not having transportation, until we had no choice but to go to the dealership to find out what was going on. At this point it has been over a month since the incident, and the car was parked where we left it and hadn't been touched by the dealership at all. They had no excuse for why the car had not been worked on. Due to their lack of attentiveness the insurance company closed our claim and we had to jump through multiple obstacles to clean that up and now we are having issues working because the headlights are broken and were never repaired, and therefore we cannot drive after a certain time either. This has become a nightmare and we are probably never going to work with this company again

Desired outcome: We really just need our car repaired so we can drive to work it's been very hard to get bills paid when we are restricted to driving during certain hours.

KIA Motors Steering wheel uncontrollably going to the left on wet road causing total loss of car

My daughter drove our well-maintained and serviced Kia Sorento ( serveiced 5 1/2 months ago with new tres and new front brakes, not much driven since !) on a wet road very slowly 20/25 miles/hour down the street on a wet road. When hiotting the brakes because of a curb and preparing to stop a t a Stop sign, the brakes stuttered and the steeriing wheel went out of control to the left side. She grabbed on to it and hurt her hand with the airbag. Thee car cosse dthe road slamming into a parked and fortunately empty truck. Both cars are a total loss. I believe the manufacturer has a problem sinc eth wheel went uncontrollably to the lft, maybe a road adjustment mechanism, In this case this was dangerous and could have cost the life of my daughter.

I am having trouble getting a mirror for my 2021 Kia Sedona SX. The part number is 87620-A9711. The body and fender shop I am dealing with said this part is not to be found in the United States. If you are selling a car in this country, you should supply parts to repair it. What am I supposed to do - Do without a car that is 1 year old. Please help me find this part, so I can repair my car and drive it.

KIA Motors Service plan

I was advised by a sales lady in Middleburg that if I buy my Kia Rio in will be under free service plan until it reaches 60000km, however today I took it for service at Kia centurion where I was forced to pay R3236. 00 which I had not budgeted for because my car is now on 45000km and I was under the impression that I don't have to pay for this service as per the agreement when I bought the car, please assist.

I bought a Kia Rio 2020 model at Middleburg and I was told that my car will be under service plan for 60km for free however on the 9.11.22 I took my car to Kia centurion and I was told to pay R3236. 00 so I'm shocked because I was under the impression that it's all covered for 60km

KIA Motors Navigation/infotainment system updates

When I purchased my Seltos GT-Line in December 2019, I was very happy with the above. However, since the updates, I found the earlier version of the infotainment more intuitive, but I've now adapted to the puple stuff often complained about. However, the feature in the nav I really miss was the 'suspend route' button, which was replaced in the updates by just 'cancel route'.

How is that an improvement..? So often you don't need the turn by turn directions until getting close, so setting the route on, then suspending it was great. (Google and Apple maps don't have this feature, and I loved it). When you wanted to resume the route, that button had changed to 'resume route' (or similar), and when you touched that, there it was, starting from where you had got up to. Now, if you cancel it, when you want it again it is 3 extra steps to open the menu. 1. select the last used, which defaults to the top at least, then 2. hit that, then 3. hit start navigation. Surely all that extra time attention taken off the road is bad enough, but bl**dy annoying as well..?

Why don't the software engineers that work on these things follow the worthy rule, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it..? Any chance of getting the suspend/resume route button back..?

KIA Motors Kia engine issues

I have a 2013 Kia Sportage with 80,000 miles on it. I had an email back in 2018 that said that there was a recall for engine issues. I immediately called and they said that based on my VIN number, it did not affect my car. Well, my engine died while I was coming back from Tampa, FL to Jacksonville, FL in Ocala. I had it towed to a mechanic who said that he has had to work on several Kia's with the same problem and there was a recall. When I called Kia Resolution Center, they said that my car does NOT have any safety issues with the engine. If I knew about the Product Update for an extended warranty before the engine blew, I would have obviously called to get it. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. If Kia makes faulty engines, and I previously called to make sure that mine would not blow at 9 years old and 80,000 miles after maintaining my car with regular oil changes, it is obviously an issue. Kia apparently does not want to back up your product or give a loyal customer what is fair. Also, the power train warranty should have covered up to 100,000 miles from bumper to bumper.

KIA Motors 2013 Kia Optima vin#5XXGM4A75DG137137

I own a 2013 KIA Optima.

There is a prominent "clicking" noise in the steering when I turn the wheel back and forth. The steering wheel feels loose and unsafe to drive at times. When driving 65 + m.p.h. there is also a "vibrating shake" that is continuous until I slow back down. Are there other Optima owners having the same problem with their vehicle?

Is there a recall on these issues?

KIA is usually very good about sending recall notices but I have not received one for this as of yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Desired outcome: I would like the steering to be tightened, the clicking noise to be resolved and for the vehicle to not shake or vibrate when driving 65+ m.p.h.

KIA Motors Kia Carens Delivery

I am Vinu John. I had booked Carens Luxury Plus 1.4 T manual 7 seater on 24 Jun 22 at Crystal Kia- Kothari Autobiz LLP, Pune (Booking No: B202208868). Tentative delivery period was given as 13-14 weeks. But even after 20 weeks, no delivery is done and after sales support is poor if not pathetic. Sales Rep, Sales Manager and Customer Manager are equally non-responsive. From Oct 22, they keep promising they will connect me to DGM but as usual no further response from kia showroom. Very poor and unprofessional job by Crystal Kia, Pune. Setting poor image for KIA.

Desired outcome: I would request fast delivery and apology from Kia Showroom for mis-guiding the customer. Taking money in advance for booking with no feedback/response.

I took my 2013 Kia Forte in to be repaired 9/19/22 and two weeks later the same problem occurred I took it back so they could correct the problem they said I need to pay an additional $200 before they can look at it again because it may not be the problem they corrected I feel like I’m being ripped off I been a Kia car owner for over 18 years and this is the worst treatment I’ve experienced I’m talking about downtown Kia Los Angeles on Figueroa. I have been having to add oil to my car every week for the last year and a half. My husband took the car to the dealer to get it checked out last year. First they filled the car with oil and told him to drive so many miles then bring it back for them to check. He did so. At that visit they said it was a little low and for him to ride a few more miles and bring it back. He did that. The third time he took it the dealer said that they were not responsible in finding out what was wrong and contact corporate. So we just gave up and have been checking the oil every week. It is getting cumbersome and we should not have to do this so we are writing for help.

Desired outcome: We would like someone to tell us what is causing the oil to disappear and give us options for repair. Some type of resolution. If it is factory, a new engine.
