KIA Motors Vehicle Not Available

I placed a $2,500 holding deposit on a Kia Carnival that was supposed to arrive at the dealership by September 11, 2022. It is now October 27, 2022 and the dealership has said they don’t know when it will arrive. It’s said to be at the port in Long Beach, California, just waiting for a transport truck to deliver it to Tucson, Arizona, a short, 8-hour drive. I see trucks all over the freeway transporting vehicles. I just want to know why Kia is so behind on inventory delivery that they cannot have a product they already sold available.

Desired outcome: I’d like my vehicle to be delivered to the dealership so I can finalize the purchase and have the vehicle I was promised.

KIA Motors 2018 kia soul... Oil consumption

Bought my soul brand new had 6 miles on it! I've returned to car dealer for regular maintenance. At 40,000 I had an oil leak... they had my car 3 half weeks, repaired 3 different leaks. It has used oil ever since. I've had at least 6 oil consumption tests done only to b told "it's normal to use 1 qrt oil for every 1000 miles" say what you want but I've had some real hoopty cars like 200$ never added a drop of oil only did oil changes... as I was approaching 100,000 miles an warranty end I was reassured by the dealer that no worries this started prior to over mileage... here I am over mileage an my car is not to b driven flashing g engine light...codes 301 302 are cylinder 1 misfire an random misfire... hmmmm I'm told I need a converter kit an a tune up... I added 9 qrts of oil in a 5000 mile between oil changes... tune up an converter will not fix this. Kia motors says... out of warranty an no recall... sry... car dealer now says tow it in an well see what we can do... I have to tow 75 miles an they give no rental car... so screwed all the way around... no car to get to work or anywhere... how do they think this is ok? I'm beyond mad...

KIA Motors Poor customer service and preparedness, I need my car!

Kia of Auburn Wa. has had my car for over 5 weeks. They said they had to wait for the part to arrive to fix my car. They have no loaner cars, so I have been borrowing friends and family's cars, who have canceled plans for me to do so, to try to get to my 2 jobs. They do not communicate unless I call them and even then, at times no return phone call until I call again. Now they are telling me after over 5 weeks of waiting that they do not have the right tool to fix my car!? So, they are waiting for the tool now. How can you not know this when you see the part that needs fixing and order the part and not see what tools you will need to complete the job? I am very upset. I need a car to commute to my jobs. I need my car. It's warranty work so I cannot have my car back until it's fixed otherwise the warranty is void, I've been told. I feel this is poor quality on their end and honestly at this rate I would never recommend anyone to Kia for work or otherwise. I have never made a complaint before like this I try to be understanding and workable, but this has to be fixed.

Desired outcome: I need a loaner car or my car back.

KIA Motors 2017 KIA SPORTAGE

First off, let me tell you this is the first KIA I have bought and thinking it will be the last. It has 45, 000 miles and looks like new EXCEPT for the clearcoat/paint is coming off BOTH OF MY MIRRORS. It looks horrible. I called the dealer where I purchased it NEW and he advised me that it was not under warranty and there was nothing he could do. My thing is this is still a new car, why would the paint ONLY be coming off the mirrors, if it was not a fault in the paint or how it was done. The supposedly excellent warranty is one of the main reasons that we bought a KIA. But I also had problem with my AC going out last summer and had to wait MONTHS to get it fixed, but did finally get it fixed, to now notice this problem with my mirrors. I do not have pics at this time but will be more than happy to provide later.

Desired outcome: I want my mirrors replaced or re-painted/ clear coated.

KIA Motors Kia soul 2014.

I have been a customer of KIA for the last ten years. I bought two brand new Souls and up until now I have been so satisfied with my cars. I bought both from Donnelly Kia. Had all my service done there and totally trusted them. On October 17 I had an appointment for a wheel alignment and an induction done. I also asked for an oil change and was told by phone and when I dropped off my car it would be about 1 hour. I decided to wait. I got there at 1pm. and about 2 15 the girl on reception came and told me they were working on my car but they felt my rotors needed attention. I informed her that was impossible because on the 15th I had my winter tires put on and the rotors done at the same time.. She was surprised and left to tell them I guess. I spoke to the service manager and told him and his reply was how would they know that because they did not need to take off the wheels. At 4 15 I went to see where my car was and the man at the desk thought I had already left. He went to the garage and found out they had gone for a run with it. I left at 4 30 and went about 10 kg and pulled off to answer my phone and when I pulled back on the road my engine light came on. I sat for about 15 minutes

and then drove slowly up the shoulder of the road and it went off. I would not take it out again and got my son in law to take it out and he said he could not find a problem except the oil was over filled by about 1 and a halt litre too much. I looked at my bill and he put 6 litres of oil in it and always before according to my bills they put 3.5 litres in it. I am very upset about this and I have tried and tried to talk to the service manager and have left him 2 messages to call me but have heard nothing. I can't believe they would do this because they know I am a widow and know nothing about what they do to my car. I have just bent letting them do what they say I need. Thanks for you attention... KIA Motors kia soul

I have a 2013 Kia Soul that has 35000 miles on it. I started having issues and took it in to be repaired and they said they would just go trade it in - get rid of it because the engine is about to go? This is a car that should go for another 100000 miles. I have taken care of this car, kept up on the oil changes. I brought the car in because it was running very rough and there were 7 check engine codes. Was there some kind of recall on this year?

Desired outcome: Want the engine replaced - I do not want and cannot afford a new vehicle right now. Or some kind of super deal.

KIA Motors Werribee Kia Service Department - Kia Rio SLi 2015

I would like to make a complaint in regards to the service department at Werribee Kia.

On Monday 12 September, I took my car to Werribee Kia for a service, advising them that my check engine light had come on (flashing) and I believed that this was due to my spark plugs as my car was jolting (due to previous experience). Upon pick up of my car, I was assured that the issue had been rectified and that the light was flashing due to low levels of coolant.

This was not the case as on Sunday 25 September, my check engine light came on again with my car jolting. I took my car to Werribee Kia again and was told that the device that ignites the spark plugs needed replacing which was actioned. Upon pick up, I was once again assured that my car should be fine moving forward.

This morning on my way to work, my check engine light has again come on with my car is jolting. I telephoned Kia Werribee where the receptionist was far from helpful, with Kia Werribee not allowing for any assistance such as a courtesy car so that I can get this rectified and given the time and money already spent trying to have this fixed.

I do not feel safe driving my vehicle and am unhappy at the time and cost already spent trying to rectify this issue.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a quick response from Werribee Kia to arrange for my car to be looked at and a courtesy car within the next couple of days.

KIA Motors Maintenance on my vehicle

I was told I need another motor for my Kia soul 2016 took it to the Kia dealership in Lumberton nc

They told me the cost is 6336.00 so I did a sunbit application which I got approved for 4920.00 and whatever the balance was is what I have to pay before they work on my vehicle so the balance was 1416.00 so why did they tell me I had to pay 2800 I need to know what’s this extra money is for please explain to me I don’t think it’s right.

I bought a Kia sorretto last year it’s got less then 98,000 miles it’s a 2017 from the dealer ship it was or is well taken care of when I got it the problem is the paint job done On theses cars is coming off I know other people with same cars and their paint is doing the same thing. These cars should not be losing paint like this especially since I have a mustang 2007 and that paint job still looks like new

KIA Motors 2009 Kia Sorento LX

i went to get my 2009 Kia Sorento LX inspected and they would not inspect this vehicle due to frame rotting, this vehicle was well maintained and has only appx 75000 original miles. I feel this is something that should not occur at this mileage. I understand that some Kia's have had similar problems with the rusting of their frames, I am writing in hopes that your company can assist with this problem either by repair or some form of assistance. KIA Motors 2022 Telluride warranty claim denial

Purchased Kia Telluride in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in December of 2021. Drove to Denver, Colorado, USA in September of 2022 for vacation. Car has 12,000 miles (20,000 km) on odometer. Driving on a Saturday afternoon on a freeway, and battery warning light comes on followed by temperature warning. Pulled car off of freeway. Checked under hood. Serpentine belt shredded. Car not drivable. Called Kia Canada for assistance. After a long frustrating discussion they arranged to have a tow truck come to take the vehicle to the nearest Kia dealer. Ended up having to call a second time to speak to another person due to no tow truck showing up. Car towed. After hours by the time it arrived at dealership so had no vehicle Saturday PM, all day Sunday, and start of Monday. Was able to speak to someone at the dealership on Monday. We weren’t given the impression that our situation was a priority so I explained that we were needing the car repaired soon in order to return home. A couple of conversations and we were told that the belt wasn’t in stock and would take two weeks to get to Denver. Also the tensioner needed replacing. We could wait for the authentic Kia parts and wait, or get them to install after market parts and the vehicle could be ready in a few days (I am still flabbergasted that a network of dealerships don’t have a part as straightforward as a belt, yet it is readily available at an auto parts store). However, if we chose after market parts there would be no warranty coverage. Basically there was a gun to our heads- pay out of pocket and get no warranty, or get warranty coverage and pay for another two weeks of hotel rooms and meals. At no time were we offered any compassion or assistance of any kind, such as a courtesy vehicle. We opted to go with after market parts as we could not stay two more weeks. We paid over $1,000 Cdn for the repairs. We emailed the dealership in Saskatoon explaining our situation- we never got a reply back. After getting home, we called and emailed Saskatoon Kia numerous times before anyone would call us back. Once we actually spoke to someone, and received an accurate email address to which we could send the invoices to, our request bounced around in their hands for weeks before it finally came back as warranty claim denied. We then called Kia Canada. After ten days of calling, being put on hold, being transferred to wrong departments, utilizing a “we will call you back” system and not getting a call or email, we finally got a brief email stating that because we “chose” to use after market parts the claim was denied. I requested that it go further up the chain of command. Typical of the situation, I was told that I would be contacted the next day. Three days later I had to call, and of course got voicemail. Left a message. Back and forth emails ensued. Kia Canada refuses to pay.

My advice- never buy a Kia because the warranty is useless.

Desired outcome: We want our warranty claim to be paid, and extra out of pocket expenses for taxis to be paid.

KIA Motors Broken Windshield

On October 8 while driving my 2020 Kia Telluride my windshield cracked approx. 13 inches. Because of the safety concern I went to a safe lite dealer where the windshield had to be replaced at a cost of 789.30 out of my pocket.

I was advised by safe lite to contact KIA USA to report my issue.

KIA Motors My KIA Seltos Car Insurance update

Dear Sir/Madam, I bought fully automatic KIA Seltos top version from Shree Karpagamoorthy Motors,Thanjavur and car plate number is TN49CA2765. Shree Karpagamoorthy Motors forced to avail car insurance from their Insurance Agency (Bharthi Insurance Agency). The car was purchased on 15.01.2020 and RC was made 20.01.2020. The Insurance was made 3yrs including year of purchasing. Since the policy was not updated from the Insurance the Thanjavur RTO could not remove hypothecation from RC. I have requested your car agent 22 days back to update the policy and help me to get my RC updated. Your car agent and Insurance Agency area tracking my request. I am residing at Bangalore and my travelling getting postponed, i am losing huge money of staying back in Thanjavur. Further your car agent forcing me to go legal action. Expecting your immediate intervention and need immediate response. I cannot travel without updated RC and since i am residing in other and using this i required updated RC documents.

KIA Motors Dealer Price Gouging

I was subjected to unethical price gouging practices by Kia dealer in New South Wales Australia. However, Kia Australia refused to give any support and they indirectly supported the price gouging by their dealer by saying that Kia has absolutely no control over pricing of their dealers and dealers are free to charge whatever they like. It is highly unfortunate that KIA is dealing with their customers in such an unprofessional manner. It is better to stay away from a Company where customer service has no meaning. How you can believe in a company for 8-10 years, which ditch you at the first step!

KIA Motors 2011 kia sorento paint

The paint on the leading edge of the windshield has started to peel off. There is no impact damage and no chemical or environmental factors at play. There also seems to be no primer in place where the paint has started to peel. The paint damage and the pattern that it has taken seems to be a defect from the factory. There is a known issue with the white pearl paint on several Kia models. The paint started to peel about six months ago around the beginning of 2022 and has progressed rather rapidly.

Desired outcome: I would like to have the paint fixed or repaired to prevent further damage and retain the vehicles value.

KIA Motors 2017 Kia Sportage

Last month, September 2022, I had to have the front passenger window regulator replaced because the window would not go up or down. My car has 40,303 miles on it and normally the only one in the car. It cost me $500 to get this fixed. Now 3 weeks later I am having the same problem with the right rear window. This is crazy because I hardly open these windows. Also, not everyone can afford to pay this kind of money out. I'm on SS and know I can't. This is a manufacturing malfunction and should be handled as a no charge recall to the consumer. Kia should also reimburse the consumer the money that they have already paid out to fix this problem. Kia admits that this problem is due to their use of bad parts. We purchased your product in good faith and should not be penalized because we did.

Desired outcome: No Charge Replacement Recall as well as money refunded was paid out to fix the problem that Kia admits too. Reply requested

I have made a booking at premakia patna kia sonet everything was understood that insurance and finance will be done from outsources my booking of kia sonet at the name soni devi mo [protected]. Today i went there for my vehicle delivery some of the executive of prema kia has abused me today and also without any respect they thrown me out from there and also the store manager told me that i am the bad guy as soni devi is my sister even knowing this thing that i belongs to insurance and finance profession it is all because of this incident has happened with me with a full planning.

I request from kia to return all my lost respect in any cost if not i am not going to deal with it.

KIA Motors Paint

I have a white 2019 Kia Sorento. I have noticed many small spots throughout the whole car where the paint is starting to chip and has rust developing in each spot. Everytime I go to check the car more spots are showing up. I do not live near a beach and the car is kept clean. I need help in reaching someone to get this taken care of before my car is ruined.

Desired outcome: I would like to have this problem fixed or the vehicle replaced. Either option is fine. I just do not want this to continue and have more serious paint and rust problems.

KIA Motors 2018 kia optima window regulators

I have owned a 2004 and 2005 Amani and had no problems. I bought a 2018 Kia Optima used bout a year ago...and in the last 2 weeks, I've had the window regulators go bad in the drivers rear AND front windows and the passenger rear window. Thats a total of almost $2000! to fix the 3 windows. I live in a warm climate. Hardly EVER put down the drivers window and NEVER use the back window. HOW can they go bad. I have only 58K miles on the car, and the warranty ran out in 12/21. OFCOURSE it did! I live on a fixed income. This is a killer for me. But living in FL during the rainy season kind of makes it mandatory to have the windows work. I take excellent care of my car. It looks brand new. TTHIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.

KIA Motors Matt Blatt Kia Egg Harbor Township NJ

I purchased a new 2023 Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige hybrid on 10/08/2022. I had been working with this dealership for months, I am out of state (I am in North Carolina). I put money down to reserve this car months in advance.

I paid 11,000 over dealer sticker price and they said they can charge that because there are a shortage of cars. I flew to NJ to pick up the car and drove it back to North Carolina in one day. Arrived home late at night went to bed and in the morning woke up to detail the car and saw that Matt Blatt Kia had put 6 holes in my front bumper for their license plate. I did not agree to this nor ask for this. It can not be repaired. I need a new front bumper. It would cost the dealership less than 300 for parts and labor to remedy this and they are doing nothing. 2 days have gone by and no resolve for my brand new car with 6 holes.

I will take legal action with the dealership and Kia should this not be resolved. Horrible customer service, so dissatisfied. I would also like to mention that I baked cookies for the whole dealership that I brought on the plane from home and gave the sales associate that helped me a 200$ Visa Giftcard

Desired outcome: Replace front bumper immediately
