2009 Kia Sorento LX
i went to get my 2009 Kia Sorento LX inspected and they would not inspect this vehicle due to frame rotting, this vehicle was well maintained and has only appx 75000 original miles. I feel this is something that should not occur at this mileage. I understand that some Kia's have had similar problems with the rusting of their frames, I am writing in hopes that your company can assist with this problem either by repair or some form of assistance. Thank you in advance for your assistance with issue. I can be reached at the following address or phone, you can leave a message on the answering machine, if no answer, I will call you back.

2022 Telluride warranty claim denial
Purchased Kia Telluride in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in December of 2021. Drove to Denver, Colorado, USA in September of 2022 for vacation. Car has 12,000 miles (20,000 km) on odometer. Driving on a Saturday afternoon on a freeway, and battery warning light comes on followed by temperature warning. Pulled car off of freeway. Checked under hood. Serpentine belt shredded. Car not drivable. Called Kia Canada for assistance. After a long frustrating discussion they arranged to have a tow truck come to take the vehicle to the nearest Kia dealer. Ended up having to call a second time to speak to another person due to no tow truck showing up. Car towed. After hours by the time it arrived at dealership so had no vehicle Saturday PM, all day Sunday, and start of Monday. Was able to speak to someone at the dealership on Monday. We weren’t given the impression that our situation was a priority so I explained that we were needing the car repaired soon in order to return home. A couple of conversations and we were told that the belt wasn’t in stock and would take two weeks to get to Denver. Also the tensioner needed replacing. We could wait for the authentic Kia parts and wait, or get them to install after market parts and the vehicle could be ready in a few days (I am still flabbergasted that a network of dealerships don’t have a part as straightforward as a belt, yet it is readily available at an auto parts store). However, if we chose after market parts there would be no warranty coverage. Basically there was a gun to our heads- pay out of pocket and get no warranty, or get warranty coverage and pay for another two weeks of hotel rooms and meals. At no time were we offered any compassion or assistance of any kind, such as a courtesy vehicle. We opted to go with after market parts as we could not stay two more weeks. We paid over $1,000 Cdn for the repairs. We emailed the dealership in Saskatoon explaining our situation- we never got a reply back. After getting home, we called and emailed Saskatoon Kia numerous times before anyone would call us back. Once we actually spoke to someone, and received an accurate email address to which we could send the invoices to, our request bounced around in their hands for weeks before it finally came back as warranty claim denied. We then called Kia Canada. After ten days of calling, being put on hold, being transferred to wrong departments, utilizing a “we will call you back” system and not getting a call or email, we finally got a brief email stating that because we “chose” to use after market parts the claim was denied. I requested that it go further up the chain of command. Typical of the situation, I was told that I would be contacted the next day. Three days later I had to call, and of course got voicemail. Left a message. Back and forth emails ensued. Kia Canada refuses to pay.
My advice- never buy a Kia because the warranty is useless.
Desired outcome: We want our warranty claim to be paid, and extra out of pocket expenses for taxis to be paid.
Broken Windshield
On October 8 while driving my 2020 Kia Telluride my windshield cracked approx. 13 inches. Because of the safety concern I went to a safe lite dealer where the windshield had to be replaced at a cost of 789.30 out of my pocket.
I was advised by safe lite to contact KIA USA to report my issue.

My KIA Seltos Car Insurance update
Dear Sir/Madam, I bought fully automatic KIA Seltos top version from Shree Karpagamoorthy Motors,Thanjavur and car plate number is TN49CA2765. Shree Karpagamoorthy Motors forced to avail car insurance from their Insurance Agency (Bharthi Insurance Agency). The car was purchased on 15.01.2020 and RC was made 20.01.2020. The Insurance was made 3yrs including year of purchasing. Since the policy was not updated from the Insurance the Thanjavur RTO could not remove hypothecation from RC. I have requested your car agent 22 days back to update the policy and help me to get my RC updated. Your car agent and Insurance Agency area tracking my request. I am residing at Bangalore and my travelling getting postponed, i am losing huge money of staying back in Thanjavur. Further your car agent forcing me to go legal action. Expecting your immediate intervention and need immediate response. I cannot travel without updated RC and since i am residing in other and using this i required updated RC documents.
Desired outcome: Need Insurance updated.
Dealer Price Gouging
I was subjected to unethical price gouging practices by Kia dealer in New South Wales Australia. However, Kia Australia refused to give any support and they indirectly supported the price gouging by their dealer by saying that Kia has absolutely no control over pricing of their dealers and dealers are free to charge whatever they like. It is highly unfortunate that KIA is dealing with their customers in such an unprofessional manner. It is better to stay away from a Company where customer service has no meaning. How you can believe in a company for 8-10 years, which ditch you at the first step!
2011 kia sorento paint
The paint on the leading edge of the windshield has started to peel off. There is no impact damage and no chemical or environmental factors at play. There also seems to be no primer in place where the paint has started to peel. The paint damage and the pattern that it has taken seems to be a defect from the factory. There is a known issue with the white pearl paint on several Kia models. The paint started to peel about six months ago around the beginning of 2022 and has progressed rather rapidly.
Desired outcome: I would like to have the paint fixed or repaired to prevent further damage and retain the vehicles value.
2017 Kia Sportage
Last month, September 2022, I had to have the front passenger window regulator replaced because the window would not go up or down. My car has 40,303 miles on it and normally the only one in the car. It cost me $500 to get this fixed. Now 3 weeks later I am having the same problem with the right rear window. This is crazy because I hardly open these windows. Also, not everyone can afford to pay this kind of money out. I'm on SS and know I can't. This is a manufacturing malfunction and should be handled as a no charge recall to the consumer. Kia should also reimburse the consumer the money that they have already paid out to fix this problem. Kia admits that this problem is due to their use of bad parts. We purchased your product in good faith and should not be penalized because we did.
Desired outcome: No Charge Replacement Recall as well as money refunded was paid out to fix the problem that Kia admits too. Reply requested

Paint
I have a white 2019 Kia Sorento. I have noticed many small spots throughout the whole car where the paint is starting to chip and has rust developing in each spot. Everytime I go to check the car more spots are showing up. I do not live near a beach and the car is kept clean. I need help in reaching someone to get this taken care of before my car is ruined.
Desired outcome: I would like to have this problem fixed or the vehicle replaced. Either option is fine. I just do not want this to continue and have more serious paint and rust problems.
2018 kia optima window regulators
I have owned a 2004 and 2005 Amani and had no problems. I bought a 2018 Kia Optima used bout a year ago...and in the last 2 weeks, I've had the window regulators go bad in the drivers rear AND front windows and the passenger rear window. Thats a total of almost $2000! to fix the 3 windows. I live in a warm climate. Hardly EVER put down the drivers window and NEVER use the back window. HOW can they go bad. I have only 58K miles on the car, and the warranty ran out in 12/21. OFCOURSE it did! I live on a fixed income. This is a killer for me. But living in FL during the rainy season kind of makes it mandatory to have the windows work. I take excellent care of my car. It looks brand new. TTHIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.
Matt Blatt Kia Egg Harbor Township NJ
I purchased a new 2023 Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige hybrid on 10/08/2022. I had been working with this dealership for months, I am out of state (I am in North Carolina). I put money down to reserve this car months in advance.
I paid 11,000 over dealer sticker price and they said they can charge that because there are a shortage of cars. I flew to NJ to pick up the car and drove it back to North Carolina in one day. Arrived home late at night went to bed and in the morning woke up to detail the car and saw that Matt Blatt Kia had put 6 holes in my front bumper for their license plate. I did not agree to this nor ask for this. It can not be repaired. I need a new front bumper. It would cost the dealership less than 300 for parts and labor to remedy this and they are doing nothing. 2 days have gone by and no resolve for my brand new car with 6 holes.
I will take legal action with the dealership and Kia should this not be resolved. Horrible customer service, so dissatisfied. I would also like to mention that I baked cookies for the whole dealership that I brought on the plane from home and gave the sales associate that helped me a 200$ Visa Giftcard
Desired outcome: Replace front bumper immediately
Refund of our warrant money and what is legally and rightfully due to us.
We sold our KIA Telluride which we purchased from Raymond KIA in IL. We had purchased the extended warranties and are due $3001.68 in refunds. We have spent 5 months trying to collect this money. We have been on the phone numerous times with KIA and the dealership. We have been told numerous times that the checks were in the mail and that it would take 7 to 10 business days. We moved and had given them our new address numerous times. They continually have told us it either goes to our old address or the new address and that they will submit the funds once it is returned to them? Funny, we have our mail forwarded so there's no reason for this to be sent back to them.
On a personal note, I have never in my lifetime (all 64 years!) have dealt with such ineptness and the customer service reps that have continually and blatantly lied to us. We have spoken with supervisors, etc. This whole process has made us ill, but we are not giving up no what is due to us. It amazes me how KIA had no problem selling and collecting these extra monies but will now not refund us what is rightly due to us. We need help in collecting this money and have turned to the Better Business Bureau in hopes of finding a little headway before we further pursue legal action.
GPS System
I have a 2021 Kia Stinger GT1 model. I've up dated the information for the GPS. The problem is I can't enter a Canadian address in my car.
There was a window in my 18 Stinger and my 16 Optima that would come up that I could type in the address without any trouble. That window doesn't exist in my car. I've have had my salesman and my service department check it and they haven't been able to help.
The voice recognition doesn't work for Canada either. It's the worst GPS system I've ever had.
Any you tube video on the Kia GPS shows the window that is no longer available.
How do I pull up the GPS for Canada. I live 60 miles south of Montreal in up state New York.
Thanks,
John
How Kia cars wasn’t designed with auto theft and my car was broken into and stolen using a USB cord
My car was broken into twice and stolen. Now I to lock my car up with a club. It’s unacceptable that all Kia owners have to worry about our vehicles being stolen because of a device it was t designed with. I work very hard to keep my car now I have to make sure each time my car is secured before I leave my vehicle. It’s a hassle. What if I’m in a rush? Meaning the ignition is gone! We don’t have a key to start the car… it’s not fair to us owners when Kia is at fault. Yet they are still coming out with newer vehicles
Desired outcome: To be able to trade this car in for a vehicle that’s not easily accessible to steal!
2021Kia Forte FE 4dr Sedan
We didn't know there was NOT ONLY a defect with Kia Forte's in the modulators that effects the alarm system to fail and to allow the ignition to be busted & start with anything. Until it was stolen on 09.19.2022. I googled this. After the cops had told me over the phone while making a report. When we purchased the 2021 kia the dealership "Weston Kia" said that it was cheaper on insurance- this was a lie! That it was hard to steal & that only the key can start it. Obviously that was a lie. The alarm did NOT GO OFF. busted out the window and busted the ignition to start it. The car was NO MORE than 50 feet away from our bedroom window. We were awake @ 2 am on 09/19-222 in our bedroom we had just gotten home an 1 hour & 15 minutes before the theft. I will NOT own another Kia. 2 years ago had 2017 Optima which the engine had blown up on freewayat 65mph & it went to 40mph on a dime. Both the Forte & Optima was serviced on a regular basis at the Weston Kia where I bought & traded for the Forte. Again no recall notice on the Optima. This theft has put me behind & a hassle so much even though I've got extremely good insurance on the car.
I see a BIG LAW SUIT OVER THIS! Tik Tok has a Teen Challenge to steal Kia's. NO recall notice was sent. Tik Tok is going to be in trouble after I deal with Kia! I need a good lawyer! Anyone know of one?
Thx
Desired outcome: NONE has of yet. This is recent as 09.19-2022! I need reimbursement for damages. And cost of a NEW VEHICLE NOT KIA BRAND!
Abusive phone call from kia employer
At 12:40 on 29/09/2022,received phone call from someone purporting to be from Heartland motors Castle Hill.My information had been compromised in the Optus debacle and I was suspicious as the call showed up as Parramatta. he stated that he had made a mistake in August when I paid my deposit for my new car and that he wrote down $1000 instead of $500I told himI was suspicious of the call and wasn’t giving him anything until I confirmed who he was.He said he was from Heartland Castle Hill and he wanted the $500 because of his mistake. I told him I signed a legal contract with the business manager Eva Rastigari. She checked the contract, phoned someone to confirm everything in the contract,I handed over a bank cheque for the outstanding amount and took possession of the car. Then out of the blue I received this call,we I refused to pay until I checked out that he was legitimate he lost it and because very aggressive and abusive toward me.He said to me “karma is a [censored]”,and I asked him what he meant by that and if he was threatening me,he just laughed and said I’ll find out.I politely told him to go f..k himself and hung up. I put my phone on loud speaker so my workmate could witness this rubbish,we both thought it was a scam because of my Optus problem. So I called Kia and spoke to Terry Sun the manager who confirmed that this Emanuel Youlesanvensan was indeed the finance manager,I told him about the call,he apologised then proceeded to back him and informed me if I didn’t pay he would contact the debt collection agency.I asked to speak to speak to his boss and said he would give him my details and he would call.At 4:09 that day from the dealership principal told him of the call and he also apologised.I explained to him that as far as I was concerned I didn’t owe anything and I had no access to my bank details as they were on my wife’s laptop as she deals with all that stuff. I told him that I shouldn’t be liable for someone else’s mistake, especially 4 week after signing the contract
Desired outcome: I believe I should not be liable for someone else’s mistake who’s job as manager is to find these mistakes before the contract is signed.I would hope you could waiver the $500 in good faith before it goes any further.
Unavailability of Service in Kia Garage, Republic of Ireland
Dear Sir/Madam,
Below are two emails/letters I have sent to Kia establishments in Ireland.
Email No.2 below... is to a Kia Garage in Liffey Valley, Dublin, Ireland. You can read that I was asking to get my Kia car serviced there (a second service). However, I have got no responses to my requests. This is in spite of the fact that this garage regularly sends me emails offering services in their garage.
I am complaining that this garage won't answer me and does not seem to want to service my Kia car. I thought it was policy to allow a Kia owner get his car serviced in any Kia garage ...anywhere>? Is this not true?
Email No. 2 is to 'Kia Ireland' - the Headquarters of Kia in Ireland.
I asked them in this email for help in getting my Kia serviced for its second service in Kia Liffey Valley, Dublin, Ireland.
I did not get an acknowledgement of this email. Neither did I get any reply? I don't understand this? Why will 'Kia Ireland' not reply to my questions and my request to get my Kia car serviced? It does not seem right that the main Kia Office in Ireland will NOT answer my email>?
Am I correct...a customer may get his Kia serviced in ANY Kia garage, subject to normal restrictions of giving the garage reasonable notice and time to get the car serviced ?
This is my second attempt to get my Kia car serviced (first service) in Kia Liffey Valley, Ireland. The last time, after many attempts, I eventually got a reply that they would service my car - BUT it would take over FIVE weeks to get the service appointment. I could not wait five weeks at the time, as the car was nearing its mileage limit for a first service.
So, now I cannot get my car serviced in this garage. neither can I get a reply from them why this is the case? When I contact Kia Ireland, the main Kia Office, again I get NO reply and NO help.
Can you explain this to me please? More importantly, can you help me get my Kia serviced in this Kia Garage (Liffey Valley, Dublin)? This is the garage that is closest to me and most convenient for me.
I would be grateful if you could reply and help me please.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have responded a number of times to advertisements from Kia Liffey Valley to get my Kia Niro serviced there. I used to get my previous Kia serviced there in Liffey Valley. I did respond to one of their online emails offering a service but the request wasn't responded to?
Below is copy of an email I sent last week to the Service personnel in Kia Liffey Valley. Again, I got no response.
I didn't purchase my present Kia in Liffey Valley as I got a better deal elsewhere. However, every other Kia garage I tried last time around, were prepared to do a service. Liffey valley, then, could only give, very reluctantly, a date 5/6 weeks from that time and that was too long to wait because of the mileage on my car at the time.
Now they won't respond?
Is it not normal for a customer to have his/her Kia serviced in any Kia garage? - And not necessarily the garage where one bought the car? Last time around, as I mentioned above, I could have got my car serviced, with one week, in 4/5 Kia Dublin garages.
What's wrong or different about Kia in Liffey Valley?
Do you know if there is a reason for their reluctance to service my Kia? I had no problem with them previously, although, on one occasion, they did replace a 'recalled' part and left my car in an unsafe condition afterwards (a tracking bolt was left loose). However, this issue was sorted and they replaced, free of charge, worn tyres caused as a result of their error. So, the issue was sorted on both sides. But could this be a reason why they won't now service my car now?
Maybe you can throw some light on this Kia dealer refusing or being very reluctant to service a Kia car>?
Thanks for your help.

Hi
I have responded a couple of times not to an email invite from Kia Liffey Valley to get my car serviced there.
On one occasion I asked for a date in September.
I got no replies ?
Is there some issue with getting my Kia serviced there?
Thanks

Trying to title my lease car in Arizona
I leased my Kia Soul in Colorado, then I moved to Arizona. Arizona will NOT let me register the car without a Power of Attorney from Hyundai, since Hyundai is on the lease paperwork.
I have called several times and sent e-mails, only to be told it's in the mail, yet it never shows up.
I need this in order to drive my car, my registration has expired!

Desired outcome: To receive the power of attorney from Hyundai so I can get my car registered in Arizona.
2022 kia k5 front brake rotors
New car basically 9k miles rotors are warped.. shakes steering wheels when braking terribly! adult driven... called dealer Suntrup service writer there very blunt and acted as if hes never heard of such a thing... That is crap everywhere there are complaints found about this issue!
The brake rotors were either bad castings or too small for the job...but seems to me a very wide spead problem to k5 and stinger
Desired outcome: upgrade effected cars with the actual GT brakes or correct the widespread problems with current parts ... and dealers should be happy to help correct such a ridiculous problem to have with a new car... NOT point a finger back at you!
2014 Kia sorrento pearl white paint peeling off above windshield and side arm
I have a 2014 Kia Sorrento LX and the paint is peeling on top of the front windshield in 8 spots and also a large chunk on the passenger side of the front windshield. Took to a body shop to repair and estimate is over $1000.
Body shop claims it is poor quality paint job from the factory and should be repaired under warranty. Car was purchased new from Mississauga Kia in July 2014 with only 138K.
