KIA Motors service

I sent a car to kia Alberton dealership, to assist me with a problem in my car, it was cutting off, when you stop or slow down before the hump, they diagnose and they replace the unit paid R4205, after a day of fixing the problem accured again, i took in i was told they are SUSPECTING theres a problem in the Engine and advise me to pay 3496 so that they can open it, if there suspicion is correct i must pay R17847 to replace all those parts. My concern is on the first Diagnose why they couldnt identify them, how can i trust them if they replaced the correct part, what more damage if they open the Engine they can do. My concern is not sure the person diagnosing or the mechanic knows what must be done, im flabbergasted and outrageous disappointed and angry of the service, the service advisor is doing his job very well done. im going to send a mail to them to put back what ever they took out and im going to fetch my car, im not happy.

Desired outcome: i want them to fix tand put back the part they took out in my car and i dont want anything to do with that dealer.

KIA Motors Manufacturing defect

On Sept 6, 2022 we purchased a brand new 2023 KIA sportage plug-in with the standard charge cable. Car manual specifies charge time max 10.5 hours while using this cable and 3.5 hours for using State 2 cable. In reality it takes 25-26 hours to fully charge battery. We took car to a Van Nuys KIA service. They said that the manual is incorrect. That the reality is: we should not go over 30% of battery capacity meaning driving not for more then 20 miles on electric mode and then it would take 20 hours to charge the car. Also if we decide to purchase State 2 charger it would take us about 10 hours to full charge instead of 3.5 hours. It also means that we cannot use auto mode, because the engine is automatically turned on only when battery is completely discharged, so we have to watch 20 miles limit and manually switch to hybrid mode.

Therefore the vehicle was sold on false pretends. If all of the above is correct, the plug-in is useless and as far as I'm concerned not worth $50,000 that we paid for it.

KIA Motors 2016 kia sorento "need new engine immediately"

I purchased my 2016 KIA Sorento November of 2019. On August 3rd, 2022, my car started to make clanging noises, and would not drive over 40 miles per hours without pulling, straining and clanging. I took my car to Pep boys which they ran a diagnostic and paid

for repairs which only stopped the check engine light to go off but did nothing for the car same issues Pep Boys took a further look and said it was something with the engine they reimbursed me my money for repairs. I was informed to call the Kia recall number. The first agent told me my vehicle was registered under another name, (guessing the first owner of the vehicle) he then registered my name with my VIn and told me how many recalls were due and told me I qualify for engine replacement I was given a claim number. I scheduled an appointment for recalls that needed to be fixed at KIA. The consumer at KIA told me to call the Kia service an tell them I qualify for engine repair. I was told from the KIA service center that KIA declined to fix the engine. I was informed that I would need $6330 for an engine. KIA service center said it is my fault that the recalls were not in place. This is a week of phone calls, sitting on hold for 3hrs per day to no resolve. This car has been recalled before I even purchased the vehicle. I was not informed of any recalls neither was my name in the system as a owner to be informed. I owe $19,000 on this vehicle and making payments on a vehicle I cannot drive. I am a caregiver for my disabled husband and son with Autism and have two other younger children. I am also a Doula, my vehicle is part of my livelihood. I've been without a vehicle for over a month and a Half. I need a resolve ASAP. I need a new engine, or they can pay my vehicle off to free me for a new vehicle.

I have been going thru a similar situation and I totally understand your frustration. I, too, am paying for a car that cant been driven. I had to break down and purchase another car as I fight to get this resolved with KIA. Its been months. I am in awe that the powers that regulate KIA have not stepped in for the consumers. This story you and I are telling are being told my many and no one is doing anything about it.

KIA Motors Kia service centre , 427/QEW Kia, 1581 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1T8, Canada

I purchased my car from Vancouver Kia(Kia optima 2016 top of the line ) and due to my job I moved to Toronto, Canada. I took care of my car as religiously as possible and made sure that I go to the best rated service center in Toronto. My car stopped suddenly in the middle of the road, I went back to 427/QEW Kia and they informed me that the issue is that we had put diesel instead of petrol in the car. This is impossible to happen in Toronto, since we don't have same nozzle for diesel and petrol. Nozzle for diesel is bigger in size so the mix -up cant happen and when I pointed that out I was shut down and no explanation was given. I did a quick check and realized that there was no oil and its a mistake made by the employees who did the last service.

Since I was leaving Canada and moving to USA I didn't have enough time to pursue as I was moving with my family in next 3 days. I had to sell my car which I was planning to keep for another ten years.

I am a loyal Kia customer and would appreciate if you can help with this issue.

Desired outcome: I would be grateful if I can get some kind of reparations for what I had to give up. A fool was made out of me and manipulated instead of them accepting their mistake.

KIA Motors Paint peeling on my Sorento

I have a 2014 Kia Sorento and the paint in the last few years has started to peel off and you can see where the paint has begun to bubble up. And in the last twelve months, it is coming off in sheet on the post between the front doors and the windshield. What I'm finding out is that there are a lot of 2014 Sorentos that have this problem. I have owned five Kia vehicles and purchased a new one last year and have not had this problem. And one of them was older than the 2014 Sorento. I have read that there is something wrong with the primer and the paint that was applied to the primer. This information came from a car dealer's paint shop. Also when I google "Kia paint problems" the first thing that comes up is "Kia Motors paint peeling from my 2014 Sorento". So I believe that the paint on my car should last a lot longer and should not be coming off the car. So how can this get rectified? Thanks!

KIA Motors Service 2019 kia sorento

Hello, I bought my used 2019 from Donnelly Kia in Kanata in this year. Robert in Sales was great and Danny in finance was awesome too. with my deal i got 3 premium oil changes. Also part of the deal was to get the scratches buffered out on the Drivers side back door and that i would get a loaner car for the time it would take to be in there. I went to pick up the car and Danny went out first and said the cleaning is not satisfactory and scratches are not repaired yet. I had already waited an hour for pick up. so he said to call in the next week and they would have the car all detailed in and out and scratches fixed. I have tried to get a hold of someone 9 times. Sales, front desk, and service. No one will call me back and also what angered me was that they told me i would get the engine warranty if i maintained my oil changes at kia...what choice did i have, blow up an engine from waiting for kia to call me back or go somewhere else? I took it somewhere else and i now lose my warranty! Is that fair. i want my car fixed and cleaned properly, i don't know who or what scent was in the car but it took alot of hanging air fresheners to get rid of that smell. i want my car fixed and its due for an oil change so id like done. Please help i thought i was going with the right choice here the sales of my car was awesome...

Desired outcome: for my to have my car booked in for Scratches repaired, full detail, and one of my free oil changes with a loaner car. Im only asking for what was spoken about and promised.

KIA Motors 2018 Optima

engine is burning a large amount of oil internally - mechanics have told me to contact the dealer as this is a known problem. Dealer states there is no recall on my car but they can quote me the price of a new engine or run a wash through current engine but there is no quarantee it will do anything.

I want to be assured that my car will continue to perform as I have to add a quart of oil every week

KIA Motors 2014 Kia Sorento-paint in snow white

My 2014 Kia Sorento has terrible paint defects. The paint began chipping away in chunks in 2022. It has progressively gotten worse. There is rust forming in the effected areas now.

I reached out to the dealerships in Libertyville and Waukegan Il. They stated they would get back to me and never did. I have not gotten any answers or resolve to this worsening issue.

Affected areas: driver side, passenger side, roof and hood

Desired outcome: Requesting paint repair thru dealership or reimbursement if paint is fixed elsewhere.

1.) Found 2nd row pilot seat malfunction during the new car handover day.

2.) Paint defect found on the various areas of the vehicle.

KIA Motors 2018 Kia Optima

Today, 9-10-22, I was told by the service department that nothing will be done with the oil consumption problem that exists with many of the same motors. The car was to have an engine soak. We were told that the problem may have been created by us. The oil has been changed regularly. With all the problems with this motor, the car was sold as a lemon.

Good Morning

I’m reaching out to file a complaint. About the service team in your Emmaus location I’ve been paying for a vehicle that I purchased back. In 07/22/2019 a Kia Soul 2014

When purchasing the vehicle not even a month to it I took the vehicle back to device since it had a fuel pump issue to where the vehicle has been shutting off on me then months later had to replace. The catilic conveyor on the vehicle which came out of pocket because warranty didn’t cover. Then months later not even a whole ur of having the vehicle I took a trip to. Michigan where my car broke down leaving my kids and I stranded wasn’t able to come back to pa 3 weeks later and still. Not having a car for another month. With that being said finally car was done was able to get it back. Since then I’ve been having nothing but trouble with this car. I’ve gotten to. Alternator replace muffle leak. And so. On and so. But the reason for my. Complaint. I’m back. To. Not having a vehicle. On aug 1 I called service to. Let them know that. I had an exhaust leak. On my. Car and that. It needed to. Be seen they. Gave me an appointment on aug 22 remind you I’m 3 months pregnant and have small. Children that. If they. Consume. The exhaust they. Can affixiate not only that it can harm my. Baby. On aug 26th my. Car shut off completely and I purchased and new battery thinking the alternator might have shot the battery on the 26th I paid for my. Car to. Be towed to service which they were suppose to look at it that. Day. Didn’t receive a call so I called Monday. Nothing yet. They. Looked at. It on wed to. Tell me that. Yes it has an exhaust leak. And. That. The catalic convertor need to be replace again it would be 1100 to do. So. And that. I have a loose wire from the vcm module to the fuse. Box

Remind you Bruce from service very. Rude. So I ended up speaking with nick for nick to. Tell. Me that. They can’t do. Nothing about it because they. Don’t specialized in electrical so. Ok but he gave me the option to. Still drive my car with the windows down & electrical issue that what are the odds. That. Something don’t spark and can misfire and myself mother and unborn child blow up.

We are here on sept 10 we talked about trading in the car and. Still. No. Call. Back. From there ppl I need to. Be advise on what I can do. Here. Since your manager of sales don’t care about the well being of my family or my self but. I’m paying for a car that I can’t driver going on almost a month and nothing being done

KIA Motors Paint flaking off

2017 Pearl White Kia Sorrento. Great vehicle but white paint is bubbling up and flaking off. Multiple places of hood and aside of windshield. Dealership declined to help saying paint warranty is 36 months. Paint is not fading. It is flaking off. An obvious factory defect. This is our second Kia because we held first one for 11 years and we’re very happy and that paint was fine. Probably the last one if they can’t stand behind this. Saw many other complaints from other white Pearl owners from 2017.

KIA Motors ABS Failure

I received call from KIA dealership 2022 in home country, saying that I need to change ABS module but due to the ABS failure in 2018 unfortunately the car caught on fire, When I asked who was to blame, the caller remained silent, presuming that the car had nothing to be fixed and that everything appeared to be in order. This incident occurred in the garage, where the car was driven and parked at 9:00pm as usual. Then 2 hours later, at 11:30 o'clock, when everyone in the house was asleep, the car randomly caught on fire. The reports to police will be attached.

got call from kia dealership 2022 at home country ,saying that need to change ABS module unfortunately the car currently was fired due to failure ABS 2018 , so i ask for the responsible for this , the caller just silent on , my question is it really kia just not take the responsibility all this ,

KIA Motors 2021 KIA Forte EX

I have a KIA Forte Ex-Took car in for service March 16, 2022, and to report a noise in steering wheel when turning. A bearing kit was ordered. Waited for that to come in, then it was noted that a special tool was needed to work on steering wheel. That was supposed to have been ordered.

Fast forward today (9/7/22), no phone call, update or anything been done.

Have called the Mgr, left a message on 8/31, called service part dept on same day, and lastly call today, spoke to Patricia who in turn was going to pass message to Tom Marino ( service dept mgr), all to no avail.

I’m still driving with the squeaky steering wheel.

Please advise.

KIA Motors My 2022 kia sorento

My Kia Sorrento has had 3 different times where it has shut down on me while driving. I will be driving at the suggested speed limit or a little above and without any kind of warning all the light warning lights on the dash will start flashing and the car will just shut down on me. The RPMS will still be going up but the car will not go about 40mph. Twice it has almost caused me to be ran over. Once while entering the instate and the second while driving on the interstate in the fast lane. I have to get to the shoulder of the highway, turn the car off and then restart it. Once I do that it will be fine. I took the car back to my dealer the first part of August and they called me to tell me that the issue had been resolved and my car was fixed. They stated they just had to realign the front camera. It was fine for about 3 weeks and then it messed up again almost causing me to be ran over by and 18 wheeler. So clearly it was not fixed and clearly they do not know what is causing it to do this. The car is only 6 months old, has around 18,000 miles on it. It has never been involved in any kind of crash or accident. I can not afford to just go and buy another vehicle because the trade value on this one is not high enough to absorb the negative equity. I would really appreciate your help getting this issue resolved. I know that even if they say the car is "fixed" I will still be scared to drive it because I was told that before and it clearly was not. I am very concerned that next time I won't be able to get to the shoulder and out of the way of traffic without being ran over and seriously injured or killed. I have 3 children as well and I feel it is not safe for them to travel with me in this vehicle.

Desired outcome: A vehicle of equal or greater value and no change in my monthly payment. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and I do not feel I should have to continue to pay for it.

KIA Motors 2015 kia sorento

When I purchased this vehicle a few years ago in duluth mn I went to pick it up around closing time and I had gotten into the vehicle and mind you it was pretty cold outside. I have never had a push button start before, so as I was sitting in the vehicle waiting for the windows to thaw out the staff was leaving to go home. Well I had called some friends to say what am I doing wrong? It was still cold in the car. Well to find out it was never started. So I called my sales guy on his cell phone. Answering machine. Kept calling and calling my phone was about to die and I was freezing. After an hr later he called and a person came out. The battery was dead. So im like you keep this here im taking my home. So after a few months I was still have trouble with it. Apparently I got a bad battery. So I may have had the vehicle a year or so maybe less and the engine is shot. I brought it to kia and they told me I needed to pay for a new engine. Not happening! So kia had it in there parking lot for about a year and just a month ago they had it towed. Well im not paying credit acceptance on this loan and will have to file bankruptcy because of them. I probably owe about 24,000. Didnt have it very long either. Everyone has the same engine problem with this vehicle and it should be recalled and they should of taken it back and paid it off

KIA Motors Need a service car

To whom it may concern, my son owns a Kia Optima from Crain Kia 810 S Amity Rd. Conway Arkansas. He was told to bring his car in for a Oil Test, which they did perform, only thing the Service Manager Johhny Henson put one gallon of oil in the car, which caused it to run poorly. Today 8/31/22 my son took the car back to them to let them know his car was not running good. They ran a check on the car again and found out it had a gallon of oil in it. They also told him that they may have to put a new engine in the car after they run another check. The engine is still under warranty. Only problem is they kept the car and did not give him a service car and he works everyday. They told him they did not have a rental car. He didn't want a rental car since this was their fault for putting the gallon of oil in his car, they should have given him some kind of car to get back and forth to work.

Desired outcome: Would like a car to get back and forth to work.

KIA Motors Telluride catching on fire, no notification from KIA, no recall

I found out thru the news media that my new 2022 Telluride has an issue with the trailer hitch electronics. When I went to my dealer, Carriage of Woodstock, GA they had no clue about it, so I informed them. The next day they call and acknowledge the future issue of the car catching fire and burning the car and garage, their interim solution is to park the car outside. So, I can still have my car burn plus damage from the elements, stolen, broken into, and generally just ignored while Kia comes up with a better fix. This is not acceptable. Hyundia with the same problem has at least an interim fix. I should have bought a theirs. I filed a complaint at Irvine and got a case number and someone was to call me in a few days...that was a week ago. So far the communication from Kia, the dealership and KIA of America has been dismal. Who can I contact to get some answers.

KIA Motors Warranties

Kia won' service my Mitsubishi Outlander, I purchased Warranty through Kia and they are not allowed to service the vehicle, which means that the warranty is voided but I am still paying for the warranty in my bill of sale, I tried to call them to get a answer but they haven't call me back as of yet to resolve this the Vehicle was purchased 9/25/2021, what am I to do

KIA Motors A complaint against Kimberly in the escalation dept.

On May 24, 2022 my engine light come on. I got my car to Dean McCreary Kia in Mobile, Alabama. After having it for over two weeks they found out that Cylinder #2 were not working and told me I needed a motor that would cost $8200. Being dissatisfied of what I heard and were going to get legal advice. The customer care employee gave me Kia Corp number to file a complaint. My case manger were name Trinity she offered me and signed me up with the Goodwill program. For 4 months I have called over 30 times trying to get results about my car. No one would email or return my calls. Finally my case were sent to the Escalation Department were nasty attitude Kimberly were my case manger. I spoke with her after calling numerous times but all at once when calling in and got Trinity on the phone she sent Kimberly an email. She immediately called back telling she would look into why the department who makes the decision about approving the Goodwill she would call me back. She never did. On August 28, 2022 I call customer care again. Twice in one week. The young lady tells me my case has not been updated. She update, send Kimberly an email and give me her office number and tell me to call and leave a voicemail because she doesn’t come in until 11am. I called left a voicemail. She didn’t return my call until the next day August 29,2023 to tell me my car doesn’t not have a warranty, it have so many miles, we got the car fax, and you have an old car. I tell her the dealer told me the warranty that is on my car doesn’t cover my Cylinder so what was the purpose of offer me Godwill and it took you all four months to tell me you couldn’t help me. What is the purpose of the Goodwill. I told her I thought that it was a program to help people get their car fix. She continues to tell me she was sorry but we can’t help you. I’m calling my attorney and filing a claim with BBB because it’s misleading thinking and hoping for four months without a car that it was going to be fixed. My car was parked at the dealership all this time for nothing. I also mention that I knew of at least three other people who has had this problem with Kia motors. So it seem like it’s a major problem with Kia motor. My car didn’t not fall under the class action lawsuit according to Kimberly. This has been like living I. hell these past four months. I’m not stopping until something is done.

I reached out to Kia on August 30, 2022 concerning an explanation as to why they denied me their Goodwill Program which were offered to me by a case manager to fix my engine. I have not heard from them yet. They will not email or return calls. My engine light came on without warning on May 9, 2022 and out of the four months I’ve only spoke to a case manager twice one who offered the Goodwill and Kimberly case manager in the Escalation Dept who has a nasty attitude. I spoke with her twice. In one occasion she called me back after calling the Kia Consumer Service 30 times or more over a four month period. The other occasions was when I left her a message trying to get an update on this status of what they were going to do. She called me back the every next day to tell me Kia couldn’t fix my car. She had all her negative views about my car. Saying it was old, I did have a warranty which she lied, she did not see a claim with someone offering me the Goodwill Program. Kia, why false advertising that your vehicle have a lifetime warranty? Every time I called a spoke with an agent they told me that my case were not updated. So, I’m trying to figure out who could she determine within a days time that Kia couldn’t fix my car. I think she was biased toward me. I got bad vibes the very first day I spoke with her. Kia need to remove those employees who doesn’t care about the well-being of their customers. It should’ve not taken four months. My 2012 Kia Optima has been sitting at the dealership waiting on an answer. They really don’t care. I have several people who has a failure engine and Kia WILL NOT fix it. I’ll never purchase another Kia. I hope this text help someone because this need to be reported.
